Yeah thanks a lot, because I'm not very good with computers.

Neither am I ha ha, I understand your pain.

  • @Dose

Unless you know you'll be able to unhook them, than go for it. If the Killer is just camping them until they die, than it's more beneficial for the rest of your team to just continue doing gens. Why? Because if your entire team is trying to kite the Killer away from the hook, that wastes time that could've been spent on the other Generators. This is especially the case if it's someone like Leatherface who could insta-down both the unhooker and the hooked Survivor easily, so I wouldn't bother going for a Survivor that's being camped by an insta-down Killer.

As for the last part, that's mostly subjective if you want me to be honest. It's up to you to decide if it's not worth the effort to save someone during the End Game Collapse, but if you think a Survivor is for sure dead OR something like NOED is active, than it's ok to bail on that entirely. If you want to attempt to rescue them or try to break NOED and get them, than that's more "fulfilling" to some players as well, hence why they go and do it regardless of their own death.

But again, it's all subjective for that last question. If you want to leave than you can leave, if you want to be a hero than you can try and save the other Survivor and escape with them. You're not obligated to do this because other players do it, nor are you supposed to do it because other Survivors tell you to.

The most all round build would be:

    Decisive strike

    Borrowed Time

    Dead Hard

    +fill with Iron Will/We’ll make it/Unbreakable

    other perks to consider are:

    adrenaline, plunderer instinct, resilience

the main core would still be

    DS+Exhaustion Perk+sinergy/op tier perks

That would work yeah, seems like a fairly standard meta build all things considered.

    Someone please help me PS4.

Before the update I was playing 100% sensitivity on both survivor and killer and it was amazing. It was spot on.

Now the update has made it so it's absolutely shocking to even hit a survivor now.

So if before was 100% for killer, now would be 50%? 60%? 70%? 80%? sensitivity???????

What number % do I need to have my game set to so it was like playing before?

I honestly can't even hit a survivor with a basic attack. I had troubles yesterday and managed one match. Today, I managed 1 match. 2 days in a row now I can't play because of how bad the sensitivity is for me.

Change it from 100% to the suggested 50% above, see if that will help.

You can ask a friend to have a Custom Match with you to test around the sensitivities. This will save you time with waiting for an answer and I personally feel it's the best option you can use. If you ask for sensitivity suggestions in the comments, than you won't really be able to figure out what sensitivity is right for you. If you test it in-game with a friend though, you can figure this out a lot faster.

  • @KamilPL9

This is more-so for the Technical Issues section to answer, but it can still be answered here regardless.

I personally don't know, so I can't chime in with a 100% answer to that. But with a Gtx 1660 I would assume it would run at 60 fps for DBD on Ultra? Again, I don't know though, if you can't find an answer here than you can try asking in the Technical Issues sub-forum about it.

The OC isn't talking about the shrine. They're talking about Bill's introduction to console.

I don't know if this was directed to me, since I mentioned the shrine, but I'll just assume it was and speak generally to keep on-topic with what I and others have said.

The Shrine of Secrets was mentioned because a lot of console players got BT, Unbreakable, etc from the shrine BEFORE Bill was released to console. Since his release to console, anyone who had his perks before his release had to get those perks all over again through his Blood-Web or the Shrine of Secrets again. So that's why it's being mentioned above in the first place, since a lot of these questions related to Bill didn't really know about this issue.

so nightshroud is not permanent like evil within with myers ? if not , are there any add-ons that can make nightshroud not be broken by survivors ?

I also had a question about myers . when you start the match , there is a myst on the edges of your screen . does that mean you are undetectable ? I noticed the myst dicipated after I hooked a survivor a second time .

No, Nightshroud isn't permanent and needs to be recharged every time you're broken out of it OR every time you swing your weapon with the M1 basic attack. You can use try using "Victims Detailed Routine" or Drivers License to decrease the detection range for someone to reveal you in Nightshroud, but those are the only two add-ons that does this... And they're Very Rare add-ons as well.

"Marked Map" just increases the "Killer Instinct" notification that pops up when someone reveals you, for clarification the Killer Instinct notification is the "Orange Hexagon" or "Spider-Web Notification" that we talked about above.

If you're looking for an add-on that stops Survivors from breaking Ghostface out of Nightshroud than there's unfortunately no such add-on for you to use. You can either go with the default detection range, use one of the two add-ons above, or use both if you really want to. But to be honest, I wouldn't use anything other than Charge speed add-ons on the almighty power recovery speed add-ons like Chewed Pen, debatable the best Ghostface add-on.

As for Michael Myers and the misty borders on your screen, that's indeed support to indicate that you're in the "undetectable status effect". Michael Myers and Tier l was recently buffed with the undetectable status effect at Tier l, making his Terror Radius go from 6 at Tier l to 0. This isn't a huge change for most Myers players, since most of them use Monitor & Abuse which already reduced their Terror Radius at Tier l to 0. But it wasn't really about his Terror Radius, it was added to counter aura reading perks from revealing your aura while this status effect is active.

That's just how some players... play.

There isn't really a reason behind it, and trying to decipher one will just be worth more time than it's even worth. There isn't even a reason behind most of it anyways, so there isn't anything "worth" looking into on why people play like this.

T-Bagging isn't really "toxic", but a lot of players have twisted it into being toxic BECAUSE of the social stigma behind BMing, aka Bad Manners. If someone T-Bags you, you should really get mad over it. It's very common in-game and it's pretty tame to something like post-chat harassment.

As said above, you can use sounds to determine where a Survivor went, so being "blinded" constantly isn't really annoying if you know how to counter it. Try looking up mid-blind, or walking side-ways to a Survivor while looking away from the flashlight.

As for the rest of the harassment that might come in-game, just report and ignore it. If you let it get to you, than that's exactly what they want. They want a reaction, they want you to get mad about it and react to it. Just report them and move on, it's not worth anyone time in the end.

I hope you're right ! I just had the feeling that before Stranger Things there were sales more often on the store.

Sometimes sales will happen from either BHVR or PSN themselves through PS+ deals.

Stranger Things has had a bundle discount for awhile now, especially with the "Nightmare edition" if you want to get technical. But no, there hasn't been a discount for these DLCs yet unfortunately, probably because they're still fairly new as Fitchehiro said above. I mean, it makes sense because they're so new, but I understand why you would still like to get a discount for a fan favorite DLC or something.

  • Just now? Well done.

I'm not really going to go into if they're accurate, since I wouldn't know and couldn't really find an answer for this anyways unfortunately.

I heard someone once tell me that no more than 2 of any oak or mist offering will stack, which seemed odd to me since i knew that chest offerings 100% stacked from doing chest build and having like 12 chests with plunderers. Can anyone confirm or deny this myth, i guess you may call it?

    Yes, they indeed stack.

If the description of the item specific states that it doesn't stack, than it doesn't stack. If it doesn't say this at all, than it's safe to assume these offerings will stack. But before you say "but that's just your word over fact", it's actually a main example that the DBD Wiki uses for the Mist Offerings, I can even link it at the end for you to check out at the bottom of the Mist Offerings page.

Anyways, the point is that unless an add-on, perk, or offering has that "Doesn't stack with other perks/add-ons/offerings" description with it, than you don't really have to make assumptions about it stacking or not afterwards. That's why most players will instantly know that charge add-ons stack with each other on certain Killers, the same goes with the Oak offerings, they'll indeed stack because of this same mind-set.

There isn't really a "3D diagram" of each map and tile for you to use as a reference, something like that out probably be in BHVRs hands, unless someone took an extreme amount of time to produce 3D models/diagrams for you to use as a reference. If you want to get back into the game, you'll just have to re-learn the maps that currently exist.

This is kind of a "cop out" answer, but most of the maps were recently tweaked or even reworked in the recent 3.7.0 patch, so even if a diagram existed, it would require them to rework the entire diagram to fit with this brand-new structure of certain loops in-game. Like for example, The Iron Works of misery was changed up to be more balanced, same with the Slaughter House and other "God Tier" tiles as well. Not every major tile in every map was changed, but a lot of stuff was tweaked in the recent page.

    image.png

This is a graph of what was changed in the recent update, so this will tell you what exactly was mixed up in each map. This doesn't really tell you a lot visually, but it's just an indication of what was recently changed.

"Is there seriously no reference video for me to use?"

No... not really. I can link a PTB reference video from before 3.7.0 went LIVE, but this isn't really what you asked for.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsxRQ3GgeXY&t=1803s

    [Disclaimer]

As said above, the video is from BEFORE the update went LIVE. So a lot of stuff from this video could be in-accurate or completely different from the current LIVE version that was recently released.

    conclusion

I hope this helps, somewhat. There isn't really anything else I can do, you need to figure this stuff out on your own unfortunately. Unless I made an entire video explaining every tile to you, than there isn't really anything I can give you. There was a video that I used to recommend that explains pretty much every common tile, but because of patch 3.7.0... The video is now outdated.

Is it a known bug or i should contact support? I can't unlock more perks but I don't have all the teachables I could have.

I don't think it's a known bug, but we do get questions like these from time to time.

Most of the questions we get here consist of the same question you're asking, where they can't unlock anymore perks past a previous section, even if they unlock more perks and re-level that blood-web on a different character to get them.

If it's not super urgent than you can go to the Bug Report sub-forum to make a Bug Report OR up-vote an existing one about this issue. But if you believe it's something that needs to be addressed for you personally, than you can contact the support team as well to notify them about your issue. They'll tell you what they can do and take it from there.

  • @TheShadow78

You gradually progress in the ranking system the more you gain pips and level it up. Every month on the 13th, the ranks will reset one rank backwards from your current rank to keep things fresh for every new month. Ranks that ignore this are Grey and Yellow I believe, so you shouldn't have to worry about this.

As for "Why is my rank so bad?" it's probably because you don't consistently play everyday to keep gaining progress towards it. It won't progress on it's own, it requires a lot of dedication and time to keep leveling it up. Sometimes if you play "really bad" for one match, you'll get something called a "Entity Displeased" match results, which usual indicates that your match results were very poor and that you didn't even "black pip" to not lose a pip that game.

"Black pips" are a term that players use to describe a section of the scoring system that tells you you're not going to pip up, but you're not going to pip down either. You can see your emblem score-board at the end of every game to know if you "black pipped" or not. But the match results usually tell you this off the bat. Entity Displeased is a depip, Brutal Killer is breaking even, Ruthless Killer is 1 pip, and Merciless Killer is 2 pips.

Switching up Killers isn't really the issue here, but if it's getting you more losses because of that than it's best to stick to who you're comfortable with and than eventually branch out when you understand the game some more. Also add-ons and perks are not the issue here, you're supposed to use those to gain certain advantages in-game.

    here's my best advice...

Play as much as you can, if you want to that is, and keep learning and adjusting to your role as The Killer. You won't instantly get to Red Ranks, the game is different for everyone who first plays it, so you might understand it instantly or you might understand it eventually.

If you're consistent, active, and progressive with your progress in-game than you will eventually see results with your rank and Killers as well. Pick a main maybe? Try sticking with a set few Killers before expanding out to others, it'll give you some insight to how those specific Killers work before you spread out to entirely different ones later.

I wouldn't personally play the strongest Killer off the bat, but The Oni, Hillbilly, Michael Myers, Ghostface, and even The Pig are a decent start. Most of these Killers are mid-tier, The Pig is mid/low, while The Oni and Hillbilly are usually on the side of Top Tier.

  • @Raulillo

If you didn't get every perk on Huntress before you unlocked Legions teachables than yes, it's entirely random for what you'll get still. Unless you weed out all the other perks before you get more perks unlocked, than there's no telling when will show up in the blood-web.

If you did this, and should have every unlockable perk at the moment on Huntress, then it's probably bugged.

yeah but the fences should at least be much smaller or have gaps in them or at least breakable walls, the next closest wall tile on any map doesn't even come close to haddonfield walls

Well we'll have to see what they do with the breakable walls, those are still "experimental" right now.

As for gaps or smaller fences, that too needs to be considered by BHVR first. We don't even know if they're going to further into it besides tile tweaks, but at least it was changed around a bit. As of right now, we can't really say for sure about what the future holds for Haddonfield.

  • Than you can use the link above to follow up with a support ticket. If you want to just leave it at an in-game report than that's fine, the support team will decide what to do about it.

In my honest opinion, there isn't really much they could do since everyone agreed to farm. There was no obligation to continue doing so, and reporting him for something you agreed to isn't really going to go anywhere either. Again, not a dev or mod, just my opinion.

Use the link to create a support ticket and see what they say about it, that's your best option from how I see it.

  • @opl1111

Due to the circumstances of what happened, and you accepting the request, I don't think you can report him for what happened. If you want to get technical, you both accepted the request to farm and there isn't really a reason why he or you should keep going with it.

Even if you want to report it, you need to report him in-game first before following it up with a support ticket. If you did, than you can discuss it with the support team and they'll decide what to do about it. I doubt anything will happen, but i'm not a mod or a dev... So I can't confirm anything for you unfortunately.

My advice is that you should go to the support team about this and see what they say. I don't know if they'll be able to do anything about it, but they will confirm if this was reportable or not. Farming in-general is a grey area, since all players are usually involved in it... So even if you report them for it, you still accepted the request beforehand.

So technically if this was reportable, than you would also be at fault. But again, I can't confirm this because i'm not a mod, nor am I a dev. Unless one comes in here to help you out, than you can bring it up to the support team to see what they can say about it.

  • @Bludge23

You'll only be able to get specific items from that rift when it closes and becomes public in the store. If you're only interested in specific items on the rift, than you'll have to get the other items as well unfortunately.

There's no way to get specific items from that rift at this time, you'll have to level through it to get what you want. Also if you're talking about the premium rift pass, than you'll have to buy it in order to get any of the items from that pass. Unless of course you want to wait 6 months or a year for it to be non-exclusive...

You might be asking "Why would it take 6 months to a year to have specific rift items come into the store?" Well, because that's the devs plan to keep some of these items exclusive after that specific rift closes. We still haven't gotten the rift items from the first rift in the store yet, and it hasn't been confirmed if some of those items will stay exclusive or not.

Also one more thing, if you spend 10$ for the rift pass than you'll get all your Auric Cells back after completing the entire rift. You won't get more than 1000 Auric Cells after hitting Tier 70, but you will get 1000 Auric Cells again to use on skins or another rift pass. So if you're consistent with it, than you can constantly re-use that 10$ forever.

Here's where the "exclusivity time-frame for rift items" was mentioned (starts at 32:55 ends at 33:14)

This is where the the "6 months to a year" exclusivity for rift items was talked about. This isn't the first place it was brought up, but it was talked about more in this dev stream. So if you want specific rift items only, than you'll have to wait for that specific rift to close, than wait for those items to become public in the store later on.

So it's just easier to burn through the entire rift to get what you want and maybe pay for the rift pass, rather than waiting a long time to get specific items.

"Can Ghostface detect Survivors through walls like Legion?" No, what you saw was the same notification that Legion gets when he's in his Feral Frenzy chain-stab mode. This notification is different for Ghostface though, instead of activating when you hit someone in his power, the notification activates when someone knocks you out of your Nightshroud ability. The "Orange Hexagon" or "Red Spider-Web" as I like to call it is just notifying you of where that Survivor is who knocked you out of Nightshroud. A Survivor can knock you out of your power by looking in you general direction for a small period of time, they can even do this around objects, but the mechanics for this are still somewhat janky.

in relation to this , how long does the hexagon stay on the survivor who knocked you out of nightshroud , last time I think it was a few seconds

Stalking works like this, you can go into Nightshroud by pressing M2 and than stalk by either crouching and leaning around a corner, standing up and leaning around a corner, or crouch/standing up in the open while holding M2. You wait until their meter is fully charged and than they're marked for a one hit down. You can actually stop at 99% and than mark them later on for a sneaky insta-down as well, only you see the meter so it's just guess work for them to figure out if they're 99'ed or not.

can I build up the meter on one survivor to something like 90 percent and stop if I don't wana 1 hit down them and then finish stalking another survivor , finish the last 10 percent of the meter/wheel and 1 hit down the second survivor I decide to stalk/1hit down ?

    thanks

It's only a few seconds yes, I don't know exactly how many seconds but I believe it's about 3 or 4, 5 tops. The DBD Wiki doesn't really clarify the exact time, but it's only a few seconds.

Also yes, you can stalk someone to 90% and than stalk someone else if you want to. Just be aware that both of those Survivors might want to break you out of Nightshroud to prevent this, so hiding behind objects is the best way to prevent this. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it does, but the detection system is still a bit janky. Also, if you stalk around corners you actually charge the meter a lot quicker than you would by stalking them normally. By normally, I mean out in the open/not around a corner. It's an interesting mechanic which you should take full advantage of when you can.

You can even stalk someone around a corner mid-chase, you just need to be precise about it when you're attempting to hold M2 around a corner. Sometimes it works, sometimes it requires you to play around with it a bit before you can do it. That doesn't mean the corner stalking mechanic is also janky, it just means that certain objects have their own criteria before the "lean stalk" option shows up. It mostly depends on the object itself and how it's shaped.

I mean may seem stupid to you since that is what you are used to but sensitivity being really high will be great for better plays when you get use to it and they seem to be attempting to bridge the gap between cross playing which sensitivity was a big issue about it. Trust me it threw me off too but it is easily fixed by going back half of what you were before or getting use to it.

Well there's a difference between great sensitivity and extreme sensitivity.

I have no doubt that someone can get used to it eventually, but it's quite hard to get used to a higher sensitivity if you're not used to it at all. Although you could argue that everything is "hard to learn" when you're not used to it.

  • @batmanscar said:

ok but would I have to have hanged the last survivor to use the yellow mori ?

As Aether said, no you don't need to hang the last Survivor to use the mori.

Hanging the last Survivor does not activate the Cypress Mori, it's activated when there is only one Survivor in the trial left. So this means even if the other 3 Survivors died or escaped, as long as you down the last Survivor than you can mori them with the Cypress mori. You don't need to hook them prior to this or anything like that, it's an automatic activation for the last Survivor that's left.

That's all the Cypress Mori is, it's an optional end to the trial. Whether you kill them on the hook or kill them by your hands, it's just an option to end off the trial. That's all the Mori was made for, there isn't anything else to it. I think you also get slightly more points for mori'ing the last Survivor, but not much.

  • @Joelwino said:

Just remove the stupid long fences on that map and Badham. I hate having to walk all the way around the longest fence ever just to get a hook or get to a survivor. And god forbid someone loops around those, those could almost count as infinites due to how much time they waste.

That's usually one of the gripes people have with Lampkin Lane, some of the fences span for like several tiles... But to be fair, that's dictated by RNG if i'm not mistaken. Not so much for Badham, more-so for Lampkin Lane I believe. The map did get tile tweaks, but I don't know how affected the fences were when this was changed up.

Also I don't think removing the fences all together is reasonable, I think adding more gaps is. They could even experiment with the breakable walls, that would be cool actually!

If you move slightly from your spot, it deactivates. Crouching isn't technically "moving", so insidious wouldn't pick that up when you're hiding with it. If you want my full honestly, never use insidious for anyone besides an insta-down Killer... If you use it on Ghostface than that's a wasted perk slot in my opinion. Why? Because Ghostface can already suppress his Terror Radius down to 0 AND move freely while doing so, there's no reason to use Insidious on anyone like Ghostface, Michael Myers, The Wraith, The Pig, or anyone with stealth powers in-general.

Insidious is mainly used as a means to camp something. Whether that be a basement, a specific spot, etc. This isn't to diss anyone for using it either, the perk literally can't be used outside of standing in one spot BECAUSE of how the perk works. If you move slightly while insidious is active, than the perk deactivates. This is why you should only use it on a Killer with an insta-down power/someone with a power that can keep people injured. It's a lot more effective to one-hit down someone around a corner when they weren't expecting it. While Ghostface CAN do this as well with his power, he can still suppress his Terror Radius down to 0 and get better results as well.

Simple put, Why is Ghostfaces power better than using insidious? Because he can move freely while Nightshroud is active, with insidious you can't. If you use insidious on Ghostface than it kind of defeats the purpose of the main gimmick of his power, at least in my opinion it does anyways.

"Can Ghostface detect Survivors through walls like Legion?" No, what you saw was the same notification that Legion gets when he's in his Feral Frenzy chain-stab mode. Second time tou have answered my question. Thats suprising. Ill be sure to use the builds you mention. They sound really good amd useful to have fun, get better and rank up. Thanks for everything. But quick question for you, in the self care, botany knowladge, spine chill and ds build. Could it work if i swapped botany knowladge for an exhaustion perk? Maybe balanced or dead hard. But the build sounds very good ill try it out and see how well i do.

It would yes, but you need to be more tactical about your heals if you don't use Botany Knowledge. Without Botany Knowledge with Self-Care, the time it takes to fully heal is severely decreased. This means instead of 24 seconds to heal yourself, which is 8 seconds more than the default healing speed, it would take you 32 seconds with just Self-Care.

This means if nobody is nearby to heal you, than you need to heal when the time is right. That's mostly subjective when you're asking "what's the best time to heal?", but it's usually when you know you can do it without something major happening like 2 people being downed or something. You can't really predict if that'll happen though, so it's mostly just you guessing if this is a good time to heal.

But yeah, if you don't mind that decrease than it wouldn't be a bad switch. If you actually want a better alternative than you can try the perk "Inner Strength" instead of just Self-Care. With Inner Strength, you can cleanse a hex or dull totem and than hide in a locker for a few seconds for a full heal. The reason it's better, despite having almost the same time as Self-Care, is because you can actually cleanse a totem, fully heal in a locker, and than cleanse another totem for the next time you get injured and need to heal.

Anyways, you can mix it up of course yeah. It's best to figure out what you're comfortable with, not every runs Self-Care and every other meta perk because they've found what they enjoy using instead!

oh yes, that map definetly would need a new change and maybe different versions of it too

Yeah, but again the licensing for the map might not like the change. They were open to different cosmetics, but we don't know if they're open to different map variants like Badham. If they're, than it's up to BHVR if they want to rework the map.

A Twitter post below says that it'll be out Wednesday, which is technically today. My guess is the usual 11AM time, but that's just a personal guess and not an official time. The only thing that is confirmed is the day, but like I said, it's probably going to be at the usual time of 11AM EST.

So it'll be Wednesday (aka today), no time was mentioned.

here's the twitter post if you need proof of that claim

definetly and oh I am really glad devs are aware this is a problem and they working on it!

I'm sure a lot of people would agree with you as well.

Haddonfield has always been a grey area, some people like it and some people don't. Most of the complaints stem from the loops and overall structure of the map. So like I said, we'll see if they'll consider a rework. You also have to keep in-mind that the map is a part of a licensed DLC, so they would probably have to talk to the license holders about any BIG changes, specifically a rework.

  • @DawnMad

The Patch notes specifically state that Great Skill Checks while repairing were reduced from 2% to 1%, this doesn't mean that every other skill-check was a 2% bonus by default. So either the DBD Wiki is wrong about every Great Skill-Check being 1%, only the repair Great Skill-Check was 2% until this nerf, or everything was 2% until this nerf that made Great Skill-Checks for repairing 1%.

It's not really possible for me to test this, I can't tell the difference between 1% and 2% because the percentage is too small to begin with. But I'll look into it and see what I can find for you.

  • @jiguiri

    For The Legion

You can try something like Thanatophobia, Pop Goes the Weasel, Nurse's Calling, and BBQ & Chili. This build will allow you to focus on The Legions main objective "damage over downing", which also punishes Survivors if they try to heal to avoid the debuffs.

Nurse's Calling gives you the ability to see anyone that's healing within 28 meters, which is great for The Legion to get some fast downs. Thanatophobia and Pop are used as anti-gen perks, which lets you reduce any progress that's happening in-game. And BBQ & Chili is to give you more awareness of where the rest of the team is after a hook. Depending on if everyone is injured or not, it gives you a general idea of who to go chase next.

    For Huntress

You can try a standard build like Corrupt Intervention, Nurse's Calling, Whispers, and BBQ & Chili. The Huntress benefits a lot for Corrupt because of her slow movement speed, so keeping the 3 farthest Generators blocked can give you a decent advantage at the start. If you think you can handle Huntress without Corrupt, than try something like Pop for anti-gen pressure or Iron Maiden for faster reload speed.

As for the rest, they focus on general location and aura reading for some potential cross map hatchet throws OR useful hunting bonuses. Nurse's will help you find anyone that's healing within 28 meters, BBQ gives you a new target to chase immediately/a chase to hit them with a hatchet from afar, and Whispers will help you figure out where a Survivor/Survivor team is within a radius of 32 meters. Keep in-mind that all of these are max tier perk descriptions, which will be a reoccurring theme with this explanation.

    For Michael Myers

Now, I main Michael Myers, so the build i'm giving you is primarily what I use. It's both beneficial, meta, and useful for mostly every situation and scenario. The build I recommend is Corrupt Intervention, Nurse's Calling, BBQ & Chili, and Monitor & Abuse. A similar concept to The Huntresses build, but a bit different. Corrupt, like for the Huntress, is to help you out at the start of the trial.

You start off with a short lunge and slow movement speed, so having this additional help is great for getting into Tier ll and maybe even Tier lll. Nurse's Calling is AMAZING on any stealth Killer, since it lets you know if anyone is healing within 28 meters without tipping them off to your location. How? Because Michael Myers Terror Radius is by default small, specially at Tier l which is suppressed entirely! This is where Monitor & Abuse comes in as well, it reduces your Terror Radius outside of chases by 8, and increases it when in chases by 8.

So if you use with his Michael Myers default Terror Radius (at Tier ll, which is 16 meters), than your Terror Radius is reduced to 8 when outside of chases! This basically means you emit no Terror Radius until you're right on top of a Survivor. As for BBQ, like for most Killers as well, it's used for getting a general view of where the team is and a potential next chase as well. Keep in-mind that if they're within 40 meters of the hook than they will not be "picked up" by BBQ & Chili.

For any Survivor (specifically nea in this case)

I'd advise you to keep Spine-Chill for several reasons. Spine-Chill is a great perk for countering stealth Killers, but it's also a great perk for knowing if a Killer is coming directly for you with it's "light up" notification. It's a very underrated perk, so don't toss if in my opinion.

As for the build, you can try something like Self-Care, Botany Knowledge, Spine-Chill, and Decisive Strike. This is a fairly meta build that focuses more on your own self preservation, rather than your teams. If you want to mix it up, you can try Kindred, Spine-Chill, We'll make it, and Botany Knowledge. This build focuses on healing other Survivors over your own self preservation. Botany Knowledge is for if you can't get an unhook, and We'll make it is for a quick unhook heal on a Survivor you rescued. Spine-Chill and Kindred gives you a general idea of where a Killer could be (if they don't have the undetectable status effect), so it's great for most Killers!

You really don't need Urban Evasion in my opinion, walking and tactical crouching is enough if you're focusing on stealth. If you REALLY want to focus on stealth, than you can try something like Head-On, Quick and Quiet, Lithe, and Dance With me. This build is called a "Houdini Build", and for good reasons as well! If you're in a chase, than you can fast vault and suppress your scratch marks for a few seconds with Dance with me, while also getting a speed boost with Lithe (which also stops at the same time Dance with me does). With that in-mind, it's great if you're on an in-doors map or around a building that you can use as cover for a run away. Once you get away, you can quickly enter a nearby locker with Quick and Quiet and use Head-On in-case the Killer tries to open any lockers they think you're in!

    conclusion

Hope this helps, you probably got everything you need but I thought i'd chime in with something as well. Stay safe out there, see you in the fog...

  • @kubolppp

It requires a lot more dedication than "just getting a merciless killer" rating, allow me to elaborate on what I mean.

Getting the Merciless Killer rating is a lot harder than you think, especially on some Killers with powers that can insta-down you/keep you in the injured state. If you want to get a Merciless rating, than you need to play near-perfect/perfect to pull it off. Don't worry though, if you're using The Doctor for this than I can give you some simple tips that'll maximize your emblem point potential for any Adept Killer.

Keep in-mind that your Blood-Points gain is NOT what gets you a good rating, it's entirely dependent on your emblem scoring to get a good rating. While yes, having more BPs corresponds to a good rating, it's not directly what affects it.

Here's a few important tips for grinding out an adept killer achievement (for any Killer)

    • [#1 Keep consistently hitting Survivors when in a chase] (The explanation seems kind of blunt, so allow me to explain WHY this is important. If you're on any Killer while getting their adept achievement, than it's important to maximize your emblem points in certain categories that sometimes fall short. One of these categories is the Chaser Emblem category. This category primarily focuses on decent chases and consistent hits in said chases. If you end the chase too early, than you gain less points as a result. If you end the chase too late, than you lose Generators AND also gain less points as a result. If you want to maximize your full potential gain, than you need to have decent chases and consistent hits in said chases. You can also break off these chases to just gain more points through regular hits, or end the chases too early IF NEEDED. As long as you consistently keep up with it, than you'll eventually gain points through the emblem. If the team is not super coordinated, than you should be fine.)
    • [#2 Keep as many Generators as you can!] (#2 is also important for many reasons, especially with the "recent" update to the Gatekeeper Emblem. The Gatekeeper emblem category gains all of it's points for the remaining amount of Generators you have every minute. You stop gaining points after a set amount of minutes, I believe it's 6-9, but you gain a point for each Generator you still have on the map. So not only do you have to consistently gain points in the Chaser emblem category, but you also need to focus on keeping all your Generators alive! You can lose a few Generators, but having 3 or more will give you a lot of points for every minute that passes. Also it should be noted that if every Generator is powered than you gain bonus points for keeping both gates closed. This is only rewarded to you when both gates are powered, not if every Survivor is dead while some Generators remain.)
    • [#3 You need to kill every Survivor in the trial] (As said above, this is very important to keep in-mind when you're going for an adept Killer emblem. If you let one Survivor escape, than you will not be rewarded the achievement as a result. If a Survivor DCs early, than you lose out on a lot of points you need... So the challenge mostly ends there as a result. BUT! If someone DC's late into the game, and you gained most of the points they can give you, than their DC actually counts as a kill (for some reason...). So don't be afraid if this happens to you, you should be fine if you killed the other 3 Survivors before/after.)
    • [#4 Specifics about Killers that have one-shot powers/powers that keep Survivors injured] (This doesn't really correspond with you, but I thought i'd add it in here anyways. If you're trying this on someone like The Plague or Hillbilly, than you need to focus on the 3 points above while using those powers. You need to gain deviousness points with your power, but you also need to handicap said power by focusing more on regular hits as well. If you use The Plague, you should infect a Survivor, hit them, and than infect them fully into a down. If you just infect them and than down them, than you lose out on another hit that could've went towards the Chaser emblem. While The Hillbilly will have an easier time defending Generators, The Plague requires a lot more dedication to pull off BECAUSE of how her power works. If you focus too much on infecting Survivors, than you'll lose Generators. The same goes for The Legion, if you focus too much on Feral Frenzy stabbing Survivors than you lose out on getting points towards hooking a Survivor/lose Generators).
    • [#5 Always attempt to get the full 3 hooks for each Survivor] (This last part is also very important, so allow me to talk briefly about it. If a Survivor intentionally dies on the hook, than you need to work REALLY HARD to gain points towards the Sacrifice Emblem Category. If you're going for this adept, than refrain from camping, tunneling, or anything that might cause a Survivor to go into the other hook states WHILE on the hook. Why? Because you gain more Sacrifice points for hooking a Survivor multiple times. If you let them die on the hook, you lose out on these potential points. Also, hooking someone during the EGC gives bonus points as well, so keep that in-mind in-case every Generator is finished when 1 or 2 Survivors remaining.)

    conclusion

These 5 tips are very important to remember. Sorry they're so long, but it's hard to condense an explanation without giving proper examples with said explanation. If I just said the title an that's it, you might get confused. I'll also be linking the emblem categories link below, this is from the DBD Wiki itself and is useful for understanding how points are gained in-game.

Alright, ty for the answers guys

No problem, glad you were able to get a satisfying answer.

  • @batmanscar

No, you don't need "Thrill of the Hunt" to gain BPs with the Spotted Owl Wreath. Thrill of the Hunt is just a perk that boosts "hunting Blood-points" while also adding a notification for anyone that's cleansing an active Hex totem. This includes Thrill of the Hunt itself if it's being cleansed. If you're using just the Spotted Owl Wreath than you'll only gain a 50% boost without the additional boost that Thrill of the Hunt gives.

If you use the Devout or Ardent versions of that wreath than you'll gain a 75% boost for the Devout version and a 100% boost for the Devout version. Keep in-mind that you only gain these percentages for that emblem, they're not given out to any other BP category UNLESS it says so in the offerings description.

Also, you gain "Hunting Bloopoints" for how long you were chasing a Survivor. The longer the chase, the more points you're rewarded with. You can also gain these points through special interactions, but the main point is that they're gathered through chasing Survivors and ending said chases through downing them, losing the chase, or intentionally leaving the chase. I believe you gain more points for this category if you successfully hit the Survivor and/or down them in the chase.

You can also gain points in this category for other interactions, but those interactions are alluding my memory at the moment... If you want my full honesty about how to gain points in this category, than just play Killer and they'll come to you. This emblem category is by far the easiest and most forgettable one to gain points in, since just playing normally and chasing Survivors will give you enough points.

  • @jiguiri

If it says just Xbox, than it's unfortunately just for Xbox.

The sale itself might also not be issued by BHVR, it could be from Microsoft itself. But from what I could find, it's only for Xbox right now. I checked steam and there isn't anything about a "Spring Sale" for Dead By Daylight, so if it also doesn't say it for PS4 than it's safe to assume that the Xbox logo next to it means that it's only for Xbox players.

Don't get legion for your first 9k shards! I would consider Spirit as already mentioned. She is a strong killer that has the capability of applying pressure and winning games. She also has some decent outfits! Legion is only good at pressure in my humble opinion.

Legion requires a more "complex play-style". Some would argue that it's just hit and running, but it really depends on how his power works and how effective you're with it.

Some enjoy playing him, others find him boring. For a starting unlicensed Killer, someone like The Spirit or The Oni is better to learn. It's more straightforward and simple with them.

  • @batmanscar

If it's a PTB, than it'll say something like "PTB 3.7.0", if it's an official update, than it'll just say 3.7.0.

You can tell the difference when the news/notification posts mention if it's a PTB or not. But yes, it's an official update that has been released for you to play, have fun!

What does it mean that on Dead Dawg Saloon there are breakable walls?

It means exactly what it says (not trying to sound rude).

On Dead Dawg Saloon, some "experimental" objects called Breakable walls are currently present. These walls are similar to pallets, and require The Killer to break in order to pass through. You can break them by pressing the space bar, as you would when breaking a pallet. This allows you to create a new path in a loop, helpful or hindering, depending on what you're breaking it for.

Now, they're "experimental" right now because these objects only exist on the Dead Dawg Saloon at the moment. They're currently being tested for implementation into the LIVE version of the game. So eventually you'll be seeing them on a lot more maps besides the Dead Dawg Saloon.

  • @kld3169

Everyone eventually changes from their "nooby state". As a player grows, so does their knowledge of what's meta and what's not. Now, this isn't specifically true for everyone... Since a lot of players will branch out from the meta itself, but the overall truth of the matter is that you'll eventually grow out of what you've used in the past.

A lot of people love Self-Care as noobs and vets, but they'll eventually grow out of it when they learn how to loop, combo other perks with their old ones, etc. Some people still use Self-Care because they know how to use it more "efficiently". You'll never use someone use default Self-Care with Botany, unless they're sure that the time they're wasting is worth it.

I can't really give an example for myself as a Survivor, since I didn't main it (and still don't), but I can give an example as a Killer when I started playing the game. When I was new, my go-to was (shocking I know...) Michael Myers. I'd often suffer on maps that we're small and confined like Lery's, mainly because I didn't know what I was doing at the time. After a week of playing though, I got used to it, and eventually after that... Lery's became the easiest maps for me to play on with Myers.

That's cool and all, but what does this have to do with perks?

It doesn't really, but the concept is still there. My example is telling you that I was able to eventually overcome my worst map and than make it into my best map to play on. I was able to learn how to take the most efficient routes in a chase and close in on a Survivor. It was a favorite pass-time of mine with Mirror Mikey, but I didn't really use that build that often anyways.

My point is, as you start off, you learn to adjust to how certain things work. I didn't always run efficient builds when I started out, in-fact I was using something like Bitter MurMur, Brutal Strength, and other common perks I can't really remember...

    Ok... whats the point?

You'll adjust, you'll learn, that's the best part about this game. You'll eventually learn the meta and know what's best for your play-style. If you like being sneaky than you'll use more efficient perks to do so! If you like being chased, you'll use stuff like Lithe, Quick and Quiet, Head-On, etc!

You'll eventually find your play-style while you keep playing, at the moment you don't really know but you'll get there. A lot of Survivors start off by hiding around obvious places or sitting around the edges of the map, but they eventually learn that this game is all about every second! Every second counts, hiding forever isn't efficient (unless done right...), it's all about your objective and knowledge of each loop.

"What will I like in the future vs. now I wonder?"

That's for you to figure out. You'll eventually understand what you enjoy using as a build and adjust it to work with the meta. For some people it happens instantly, for others it happens eventually. As long as you keep experimenting and improving, you'll eventually understand what you enjoy using.

Maybe you want to use meta perks? Maybe you'll like a stealth build? Maybe you'll enjoy chase build? Who KNOWS!!! The possibilities are almost endless... You'll figure it out eventually, but it all depends on you in the end.

  • @Dzeikor

We'll have to see what happens. As said above it was adjusted, but a giant overhaul hasn't really been talked about. Haddonfield has been a hated map for a long time now, but I don't really think a rework is coming anytime soon.

Besides, they can just adjust the loops to make it more tolerable. The main issue with Haddonfield, from what I could gather from the community, is the overall position of the Generators and loops that involve the houses. Regardless of what issues are present, we'll have to wait and see what happens to the map in the end.

I'm sure it'll be fine, if something needs to be changed than they can block off old routes and create more reasonable ones. They did it with the Iron Works loop after all.

  • @batmanscar

Unless the patch notes state that this was changed, than it's most likely just something else. In your case, it was just a random video you left open... This isn't the first time someone thought they heard noises in the lobbies, but it was actually just something else like the campfire or whatever.

  • @batmanscar

The Yellow Mori doesn't activate until there's one Survivor remaining in the trial. So if you kill 3 out of the 4 Survivors, than you can kill the last one by your hands. I believe you can also use it when 3 Survivors escape but one remains. The description says "to kill the last Survivor" in bold, meaning that if one Survivor remains than the option is open to mori them, even if the other 3 Survivors lived or died.

It says all of this in the offerings description as well, i'll even post it below for you to read on your own.

Just to add to that, I believe it has been confirmed in the case of the community skins (Mr Puddles and Demon Slayer Feng) that they will eventually become available in the Store for shards, although I don't have an exact quote to prove it.

For those skins yeah, I believe I also remember that being a thing, but for some skins it's not confirmed if EVERYTHING will be non-exclusive after 6 months or a year has passed.

Maybe one charm or skin will stay exclusive, maybe none will at all. Unfortunately there's no confirmation for this question, so we'll have to wait and see after the first Rift releases to the store.
