So we've established that the problem with the 2 minutes when the trial is supposedly unwinnable isn't the killers, but rather the survivors.

As for the gates being too close, they can also be too far, which would be in the survivor's favor. Both situations happen at the same rate due to the random nature of gate placement, which, according to the devs, makes it fair.

QED, the problem is the survivors.

A lot of scenarios can occur where more times or not the survivor is in favor, or the killer is in favor. I don't main survivor, I main killer i'm looking out for the little guy here.

Lets have a scenario though where every teammate you have is a potatoe (since most solo matches have potatoe survivor teammates) and they all die almost instantly. Your last hope is the hatch, but oh wait the killer found it first but all is not lost if the gates are just far enough apar- oh....they're right next to each other... Guess its time to go die in a locker.

Sounds fun right? Wrong. Of course I don't disagree with the scenario where the gates can spawn too far away it becomes obvious that the system here is flawed in some way. Perhaps a system can be in order to work out how gates spawn in which areas to maximize a fair end game for both party's. Who's going to make this system? Idk.

But I can say this, a solo survivor shouldn't have the odds stacked up against them at the end because their entire team threw the match and now you get the headache of 1v1ing the killer basically.

    I still don't see how that's fair.

She has both great defence, anti-looping potential and mobility. Thats it, all attributes that help a lot against Survivors.

    @FireHazard

But stealth isnt something that helps all the time like a chase-related power does. You get a first hit in, MAYBE. But what happens after that? From that point on, Myers is no different to an M1 Killer. He might be the strongest of all M1 Killers, no denying in that. Maybe only rivalled by Clown if it wasnt for his several bugs.

There's only like a hand full of killers that are definite top 5 before we get to most of the M1 killers, and since Myers is one if not the top of the M1 category i'm just going off of that.

If the survivor believes there's no chance for escape, why don't they just go to the killer and ask to be hooked, instead of skulking around the map and delaying the trial?

You know as well as I do that most survivors will not do that out of spite for the killer, this game has a natural feud between both sides. I can see more times than not where the survivor just try's to gamble for a key from a chest, most likely not get one and just sit in a locker till the Entity just says "No u" and you die.

You can't honestly believe that's fair.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/469862#Comment_469862

@NMCKE It's a 1v1 in an asymmetrical 4v1 game. The fact that it's heavily in the killer's favor means it's balanced, and thus fair.

So having a vantage of both gates from a hill is fair? Sounds like a boring win to me, I had this exact scenario and many others without the hill but still in an arms length away from each other.

Of course the killer should have an advantage over one survivor, I just don't agree that the gates should be pretty much 24/30 meters from each other... Or that just ends in you patrolling both gates and the survivor can't really do anything.

  • @George_Soros said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/469862#Comment_469862

@NMCKE you had a fair chance when the game starts. You shouldn't have a "fair chance", when there's only one of you. Not that I wouldn object to a fixed minimum distance between gates. But keep in mind, if gates are VERY far from each other, it's the killer that's screwed. Maybe a fixed maximum distance would make sense too.

I'd prefer a scenario where either if the killer gets the hatch he wins and or if the last survivor gets the hatch he wins.

I don't like the new scenario where the killer gets the hatch and we play 2 minutes of watching someone hide and die off screen because both gates spawn literally right next to each other.

  • @Akuma said:

I dont feel the aspect that he cant down the Deep Wound timer anymore but he's missing sth. Even if you run 10 secs now, you are slow af, youre vaulting slower and for JUST missing an FF attack or getting stuned in FF you lose _your_whole_power gauge _ ...

Man that's a 20 secs cooldown. Even The Spirit hasnt that much penalty and she moves pretty fast and is invisible.

Wished they would change that but im pretty sure not

He's Mid-Tier for sure, but that's only because he's a basic M1 killer now. Compare that to most killers that also have the same speed and are M1 WITH their powers, hes is quiet literally the worst killer now in the roster.

I say hes Mid-Tier because any M1 killer is Mid-Tier but it all depends on their power if they stay Mid-Tier or not, Legion literally has no power now I can't call what he has a power its more like a self inflicted handicap.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

I play both sides, I enjoy killer way more tho.

I said It since he came out, he needed 115%ms and not being able to down people with his power and the devs made that happen. The problem is that now that his power is not lethal they decided to nerf it; they gave him slower vaulting speed, slower ms while in FF, you now lose your power if you miss an attack (honestly this is ridiculous), he cant see blood anymore, he cant see ######### when he's stunned (which hurts him a lot in maps like Coldwind or The Game), and his Tr is now bigger...

These changes would've been kind of ok if he could still down people with his power but right now they're completely unnecessary imo.

Lets both be honest here, if the name "The Legion" wasn't put on this character I wouldn't recognize this Legion from Pre-Patch Legion... and I still DON'T even when I know that this is how Legion is now lmao.

They did the Killer dirty is all I can say, its just a shame and a baffling display of how they handled this situation... If the killer was going to be this much of an issue to balance why was it released in the first place? They left him in a ruined state with a worthless power, every match with him you basically got to rely on M1 now to actually down survivors which isn't really the issue, the issue is though if you actually face competent teams you'll get destroyed since there is nothing you can do.

    @FireHazard

He is a content creator who is known for having said Hag is low tier and Myers is top tier.

Its not that I dont recognise Myers' strength, but he isnt top tier like other top tier Killers are. He doesnt have mobility or anti-looping potential. His T3 is nice, but Killers that require a build up/setup time can go either way.

Have you played Myers? His stealth potential is rivaled by Wraith and Freddy's literal invisibility. Slap a Dead rabbit and J Myers memorial Page and you're basically solid snake on most maps.

While I agree most killers that have powers that dominate their base M1 ability's take the top tier by storm I feel Myers is one of the best M1 killers since he was first released.

  • No, I always thought he was a solid above average M1 killer with a ability that brings him up to the top rankers. Idfk who TydeTime even is lmao.

  • Will Legion be reworked again to bring back what made him a unique rush down killer in the first place?

  • @KaoMinerva said:

If they mess up nurse & Billy I'm done man.

I don't think they'd do that cause i'm pretty sure if they removed such an influence in the top ranks it would do more damage than good for the community.

  • @Bloodartist said:

As a killer main I wanted Legion reworked in order to make the matches more fun. Instead the devs nerfed everything to the ground and replaced it with nothing. A M1 killer with special ability "handicap yourself", why would you play this? This must be one of the most mind-bogglingly stupid changes Ive seen in video gaming during the 24 years Ive played them.

I understood the frustration the survivors had, but I also wanted to play Legion because of their looks and cosmetics. I am not going to.

The thing is, I liked his cosmetics also and what combos I could give him with his various masks.

It's too bad though that such a unique killer was destroyed from the ground up because of the community back-lash. The way they approached him made absolutely no sense, and to be honest I feel they never really cared about the core issues he faced to begin with. The PTB is evidence of that, they addressed literally nothing except one small thing that didn't fix anything tbh. I feel they just did this to get the constant complaints to stop and people would just "forget about it" as a result.

Now what're we left with? a handicapped M1 killer with a borderline useless ability, i'm sure if I dug hard enough I could scrounge something together to make Legion "fun" but he will never be what he used to be, his core idea is now gone.

  • @ReikoMori said:

Survivors in general wanted more pure nerfs than killer mains did. Reasonable killer mains understood that Legion needed adjustments to his power so the moonwalking was done away with. It seemed to me that killers were more divided on the issue of Frank's and Study usage. They weren't exploits it just made the power hyper efficient for what it was and at an extreme cost in bp. Was it too strong? Probably. He didn't lose anything to gain efficiency in downing people with deep wound damage.

Legion's is the most disliked killer in the game. Of that I feel very sure of. Regardless of whether people encountered infinite mending or moonwalking the facts are Legion players get treated horribly. So, I think a lot of the gutting of Legion was done just to get people to not instantly walk out on matches involving the killer. Has it helped? Not sure. I actually stopped playing the game after ptb because I wasn't having fun in general.

I do know one thing: Killer mains didn't feel like any of their time and energy on the ptb made a single bit of difference when it came to Legion. Reasonable concerns were raised about the slate of changes and they were just silently brushed aside.

This. That was exactly how the PTB felt, literally no problems were addressed but we were told "We did fix the issues, we're listening" for the 1000th time.

I'm not bashing the team on how they listen to complaints via the forums and or reddit. I'm bashing that they did literally nothing to address the major issues Legion had since day 1 of his release. His concept was cool, I thought it was a nice spin for a new killer how was it addressed though? Very poorly and the community lashed out because of it.

I don't notice DCing much anymore (I rarely got it Pre-Patch surprisingly) but I do know that the hate for Legion still exists, and people who DO DC because of him will do it regardless of if hes been gutted or not. That's how much people hated Legion, they hated him so much they would in a literal term murder Legion if they could to remove him of the roster.

I feel most of the complaints were also from survivor mains, and as for what Killer mains thought of from your statement they did do what you said on figuring out uses for his Add-ons (at least the respectable Legions did) but we can't ignore the malice some Legions were creating by abusing every trick in the book to beat a team of survivors no matter what.

Also, I agree he was and or still is the most hated killer ever released. But like I stated above i'm not sure if Doctor was also the most hated (At least at the time before Legion) since when they released Legion EVERYONE forgot about Doctor, i'm not joking literally not a soul complained on the forums ever again about Doctor when Legion was around. Its rare to see anyone say anything bad about Doctor now (At least in a post)

  • Has anyone else been having this problem where you go to pallet stun a killer and you end up on the wrong side of the pallet?

Never encountered this, try posting a bug report here.

    Provide information on encountered bugs

Provide video evidence and or some evidence to make the report more helpful for the team.

  • Plague needs buffs.

I can agree that Plague is kinda a forgotten figure. I think when I get her DLC i'll work on her like I did with Legion to make her viable in rank 1 matches so people get to see her more, how she currently is though will be kinda hard.

With Legion it was balancing a broken Killer, with Plague it'll be trying to pretty much make her Viable...

There's one person not understanding what they're talking about here, and it ain't me.

Hes asking if an obsession is chosen by random when the match starts, not just by the person who has DS but if out of all 4 of them is one chosen from random because someone has DS equipped.

He isn't asking if the Obsession is tossed from each survivor when DS is activated.

  • Time to switch to killer main where my skill actually matters and I can go back to getting 3-4 kills every match.

So the answer to your question is... yes, after three matches to confirm if this works or not It does. When you use Detectives Hunch on Unmarked objects on your map you will receive the appropriate amount of BPs as if you went to scout it yourself.

Now armed with the correct knowledge about your purchase, enjoy MoM!

Your incorrect use of "your" and "you're" triggers me.

  • Something like your post can give people a rough idea of how this issue should be managed.

I'm amazed though that people don't see the issue in this. Hell, I don't even main survivor and I can see this is an unfair and boring scenario...

  • The closure of the hatch activates the two gates, the last hope for the last survivor. It must be an unsafe opportunity, but not impossible either.

As for this post, I like the concept of where this is going. While the rough draft is just that "a rough draft" with some time and thinking we can deduce any issues this current suggestion may cause to maximize a balance between all killers speeds and the gates length from one another for each specific killers.

We must also consider certain killers powers as well though, since Billy and Nurse are unaffected by which ever location the gates spawn so killers like these are the hardest to manage.

  • @ClogWench said:

I think you fail to see the massively unfair advantage a solo survivor at the end has against a killer that can patrol/view both gates while a literal death timer counts down your demise above.

You're lucky if you find a purple key in a box and the hatch before the Entity comes out of nowhere and 86's their ass.

If you want to be a sweaty try-hard and abuse this scenario of a situation then yeah.

  • When you use detectives hunch with a map does it give the BP as if you went to the generator/totem/hook? If so then nifty.

Yes Detectives hunch marks these locations on the map you're currently holding.

    @George_Soros

I disagree, both the survivors and killers need a fair chance here. If the gates are within 32 meters from each other then that's just GG, minus well wait in a corner for 2 minutes rather than trying tbh. Overall, I don't care what side it benefits, if it's too unfair then it needs a change as soon as possible imo.

Also, this. Right here sums up the post if anyone is too lazy to read it and skims through the comments.

  • I'm aware they already stated this in their stream before making this post, but lets be honest they say a lot of things won't happen but end up happening down the road anyways. (Sometimes)

Also they said "If you play enough games we feel it would even out" tbh I've played multiple games the past few days I've return to this game and most of the time they're right next to each other or somewhat away but not enough for me to easily patrol them or catch the survivor before they open it.

I feel if you play Billy or Nurse that won't really matter how far they are, but not everyone plays those two because of the stigma they produce... Also they're boring, my 2nd P3 was Billy and I got bored of him after awhile, I haven't touched him in a long time because of how easy it is to down people.

Of course if you know how to play against a billy its much harder, i'm just speaking about the general player base, not the "vets" so much.

  • A survivor need only locker hop and survive to get their achievement.

It used to be easier if I remember correctly (At least for survivors) Back in 2016 to 2017 I believe it was that you only needed to unlock the Unique Perks each survivor had to get adept (Insert Survivor name Here).

I'm not 100% sure if this was the case for Killers also but I feel it was, I don't mind doing the new requirement tbh, it gives it a sort of challenge like the Myers one.

  • The End Game Collapse actually lasts 2 minutes, and if you're injured it increases that time by 50%, making it last 5 minutes.

  • Soo... there are 65 survivor perks and 57 killer perks at this moment.

I feel you, I was playing Nurse and the gates were in blinking distance from each other. However, luckily for the sole survivor, she had a key, but she would have been good as sacrificed if she didn't.

Gates should spawn further than 64 meters from each other and they cannot be in LoS from each other.

Its worse when a mobile killer has two gates spawn next to each other, I didn't even think about that one...
