I’m merely trying to ask the devs a question, if that question involves a bug then so what. I don’t actually believe the devs will respond but I’ll still try.

Usually if you are asking or reporting a bug, than you would report it to the Bug Report sub-forum. That's usually the first place the devs go for anything bug related (from the community), asking a question on this sub-forum is mostly asking the community itself.

As the message above implies, the devs DO stop by every now and then, but this isn't a developer Q&A. This is why It's in your best interest to report any bug to the Bug Report sub-forum, this gives you a better chance for them to see and acknowledge this issue, sub-forums like these are usually to ask general questions, not direct ones. You're more than welcome to ask regardless, but just keep in mind this isn't a developer Q&A as said above.

Here's the bug report sub-forum if needed

Keep in-mind that if you do report a bug than make sure to check the first few pages of the sub-forum before doing so. Why? Because someone might've already reported the bug. If they did, than you can just up-vote that post and maybe leave a comment on it as well. If they didn't, than please do file a report so the devs can review it.

I believe it works something like this, you gain points in the chaser emblem category for chases that're not TOO long but not TOO short either, you also gain points for consecutive hits as well, so hitting a Survivor 2 times in a chase will give you a decent amount of points.

You also gain points for hitting a Survivor and than leaving the chase, but I believe you gain less because you broke off the chase too early. This is at least my view on how it works, seems to work for me when I did a lot of Adept Killer achievements. I'm not exactly sure if there's more to it than what I described above, but there isn't much information on it besides what the DBD Wiki provides.

As said above, the DBD Wiki only provides so much information, some of that information is usually through trial and error as well... So it's hard to really pin-point exactly what the point system is without going through the files themselves, which they already did. Unless it's publicly displayed to us, than this is the best you or I can get for questions like these. It really depends on what you're asking and what information is available.

As soon as I read "save BP up" I was pretty sure what he meant. I think he'll appreciate our efforts.

I'm happy with the layout of this tome level. It allows every challenge to be completed, with forcing you to collect challenges.

Hopefully they make more of them this way, since a lot of players seem to do this strategy now.

  • @CashelP14 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1199923#Comment_1199923

Yea the more points the better. I don't think you'll get p3 in one day unless you grab every grey item and prestige immediately.

I think mine saves 9 masters and 2 normal and yours saves 6 masters and 5 normal. It all depends on whether he wants to start with the killer or survivor challenges first since mines requires him to start with killer.

Either way both examples we gave got him a lot of points.

I'll keep that in-mind the next time this is asked then, I thought he was just asking for a fast route to the end or something and than save whatever challenges are on the side-lines, there wasn't really much to go off of in the comment itself, so it was guess work for me at the start.

Now I get it though, it's all about point management, something i'd have to go in-game and check before posting an answer. Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't exactly understand what he meant until now, now I see what the goal is here. Hopefully both answers are satisfying to the OP, or at least one anyways.

I always do this so I knew exactly what he meant lol

I like to have 2 million or more Bloodpoints for the new chapter when its released so I always try and find the best possible route to save points. I usually post them on the forums too since people like jamie want to do the same thing.

I guess this is the new way to complete new DLC's in 1 or 2 days... hmmm.

I mean it's not a bad idea, with this method you could get a new Killer to P3 in 1 day, which is what someone did when Deathslinger came out. I hope my last comment above corresponds with what he's trying to save (the last image I posted before this comment), but your route is probably the better option... they both end with 11 challenges to save, but i'm guessing this is more-so about saving the challenges with the most valuable rewards.

  • @JamieLee2k

How's this? It saves everything you want to save for later and it completes the rest of the challenges on the level itself. Hopefully this is what you're asking for.

    Route example.png
  • @CashelP14 said:

Hope this is helpful. Seems like the best way from what I've seen.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/258/IDCVAVXUX6Z9.jpg

This is if you want to save as much bp as possible while also completing every challenge and reaching the end.

Oh so that's what he wants, I didn't exactly understand from one sentence alone...

I don't do this min-maxing stuff for new DLC, so it doesn't cross my mind to begin with.

  • @JamieLee2k said:

No I am going to do ALL the challenges but the ones circled I am not going to collect and wait for the new DLC. Its not hard to understand and reading your last comments it seems you dont seem to understand what I am saying.

Why do you need a route for this then if you're going to complete all these challenges and not claim the ones you circled? I seriously don't understand what you're asking at all, please clarify this so I can better answer your question.

If you have a set plan than what're you asking for?

  • @JamieLee2k said:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/857/NYL7ZFEV2PTE.jpg

All the ones I circled I am going to not collect and save for a later date, is this the best way?

So you're basically asking me what the best route to the end is without touching these circled challenges? If that's the case than it'd be something like this.

    Route example.png

    @JamieLee2k said:

I think you are confused, I want to do all the challenges and ONLY COLLECT them once the new DLC comes out.

If I play it correctly I should have close to 1m when the new DLC comes out

And yes I know what you're trying to do, I just don't understand if you're asking for the fastest route to the end of this level or you're asking for a specific route to ignore certain challenges so you can keep them for later.

Your best choice is to just complete the level as fast as possible and than complete the challenges for all the other levels, save them until the next chapter, and than you'll have a stockpile to go back to use.

  • @JamieLee2k said:

Well at the end of tome 3 normally a new killer comes out and I like to put as much BP into them as possible so I save them up by doing the challenges and not collecting them, I want to know the best way to do them and not collect them so I can collect them all when the new killer comes out.

In Tome 2 I had close to 2m in BP as I had 1m saved and 800k stored

Well than you can use the route I listed above to complete the level in 6 challenges, after that you can just un-claim the rest of the finished challenges to save the BPs for later. I'll post the image below again for you to understand what route I mean. The other routes I laid out in previous edits would end it in 7 challenges, so this route is the best to minimize the challenges you need to claim for completion.

    image.png
  • @JamieLee2k

I don't understand what you're asking, saving BPs for what?

If you're trying to just get to the end, than you can complete this level in 6 challenges with the route drawn out below.

Here's an example of the fastest route to complete this level

    Route example.png

If you're asking "whats the best route to complete The Rift and not grab the rewards for all the other challenges?" than do what I said above and the rest of the challenges rewards can be saved for later.

  • @brubli said:

Yes, the rift days will be reset to ninety days when it comes to the official version

    @Storm000 This ^

As of right now, the new Rift has not release, once it does release than the time-frame for when it ends resets as usual. I'm not entirely sure when the new rift will release, but I believe from a person view it's about 2 weeks after the previous Rifts closing. That isn't an official time-frame, that's just going off of how the past releases worked (from what I've seen anyways, I don't pay attention to it that much to be honest).

  • @Phoenix2195

A good build for beginners is something like Brutal Strength, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention, and BBQ & Chili. It covers all bases and allows for a lot of versatility on a pure M1 Killer like Wraith.

Alternatively you can use something like Nurse's Calling and Sloppy Butcher instead of Enduring and Brutal Strength, this combo lets you see the auras of any Survivors within 28 meters while also increases the healing percentages with Sloppy Butchers mangled status effect. The two other perks can stay, but you can mix and match to see what works best with you.

  • @Phoenix2195 said:

Due to everyone being stuck home, the devs will probably want to get this out there as fast as possible. But with the cosmetic contest going on, I’d say it’ll be released around the May patch because that’s when the contest is over.

Probably? The contest doesn't exactly mean that the winning submissions will be released with the new rift, they need to create those skins before they can release them in the future rift (if that's what you mean).

  • Sounds good, hopefully we'll be able to get you an answer once you do.

  • @Fickta

Never had an issue with running in-game, are you able to record this so we can better understand what you mean? I've never heard about an issue with running in-game, this sounds more like lag than anything else.

  • @Darkiller

Some slight off-topic information you might wanna read

If you use a non-desginated sub-forum for a suggest (as an example) than it might be moved if it's reported, just keep that in-mind. Posts being moved won't get you in trouble or anything, they're just being moved to the proper sub-forum is all.

The same goes for posting a General Discussion in say... This sub-forum for example, someone might report it and it might get moved to the right sub-forum afterwards, the same goes for if a mod randomly sees it on their own and thinks it should be moved to the right sub-forum.

Just some information you might be interested in in-case something gets moved in the future. It wasn't really relevant to the already answered question, but I thought it was note worthy to say.

I didn't think you were being negative at all, i really appreciate the comments. After reading and thinking about what you've said, it's an idea that sparked from playing word association lmao and it made me think did we have an antidote type thing in game. I think the concept is there but regarding what we have in game, wouldn't be suitable

No, not for this killer anyways. I like the idea of an antidote system though, maybe for a Killer that has a power that revolves around poison or something.

Thank you for the reply and your help around this topic, I totally agree with you.

To speak again about the "wiggle" functionnality. I Wonder if the developpers have set up a speed limit for the inputs (as example, maybe pressing q+d every 0.001 seconds will not fill the wiggling jauge faster than pressing them every 0.75 seconds).

If there are such mechanism, I think it could be authorized in the game. However, as you said, the best would be to get an official answer from a Dev or a Mod.

I don't personally think there's a wiggle functionality, I've never heard of this being mentioned anywhere to be honest. But yes, we'll have to wait and see for an official response for this question.

  • @LuffyBlack

Overtime you'll get noticed more and more on the forums, so an introduction to the forums themselves is not really necessary. If you're worried about sticking out, than the best advice I have is to just be active, engaged, kind, and overall constructive in every post and comment you make. You'll be recognized more and more as you continue to comment and post on the DBD forums.

The rest of what you should know has been said above, Alt accounts are against the forum rules, if you'd like to contact people than you'll have to do it on other platforms, etc. If you have any other concerns about the forum rules and other such things, than i'll leave a few links below for you to review on your own time, there's in a forum guide link if you're interested!

Didn't the devs give all the exclusive cosmetics out for free? I have two of all my event cosmetics in my inventory now.

That's if you were at the event and possible lost the skins. This was to re-gift anyone who possible lost those event items after those events ended, it wasn't given out to players that never went to those events. If you have duplicates of the skin, than that's a normal side-effect of what they did above.

The "exclusive skins" that were given out was MOST of the code skins like David's Donkey Jacket, Science Claudettes jacket, Street Meg, etc.

I never thought about it that way to be honest. In that case, maybe the 'antidote' give your reduced effects from the madness effect? or maybe Snap Out could be replaced with the antidote and persists for a longer duration

I'm not trying to be negative towards the suggestion, just making that clear before I continue lol.

Anyways, I don't see why they'd change the Snap Out mechanic with an antidote mechanic, the Madness tier system is very situational anyways, it's not like before where you'd get put into the Madness Tier lll state REALLY quickly, it's pretty dependent on what's happening in that scenario.

Like for example, if you're Tier ll and trying to heal a Survivor, than The Doctor can shot you, put you into Tier lll, and prevent you from healing yourself or healing others until you Snap Out of it. The same goes for unhooking someone, The Doctor can gamble and shock you at the hook, if you go into Tier lll than you can heal yourself after you run away (since he'll hit you after the shock) and I also believe you can't unhook your teammates afterwards.

Personally, I don't really think a change is needed to that mechanic, but that's just me.

  • @Thunderdiamond said:

    @FireHazard

First of all, thank you for your constructive answer (that I consider as a point of view and not as a fact like you warned me).

I must to admit that i'm not confortable with the terms of "3dr party software" (in the deep meaning of the term), that's why I'm asking these questions in order to clarify if a macro natively enable in a keyword is considered as a 3rd party solution which falls under the hacks category.

My main problem is that I don't know if a handicrafted keyboard macro is consider as a cheat. In one hand, it can avoid some human mistakes, making, as example, a wiggle the fastest possible (that's why I wonder it wouldn't be allowed), but in the other hand, this isn't impact the gameplay of the others players (if we compare that to the sadly infamous "flashlight macro" which can make the others players crash in-game).

I really enjoy this game and the Community that makes it live. That's why I only want to use macros if this isn't consider as a cheat or an unfair playing style (even if this isn't consider as a bannable offense).

I think it could be a good suggestion for Behavior to clarify this aspec in the Games Rules.

In some games a macro is considered a 3rd party software, in this game it isn't really clarified in the Game Rules themselves. Some games consider macros as a bannable offence, while other games don't care too much for them. It really depends on the game you're playing and what that macro does to impact your gameplay.

In the case of using it as an automatic struggle button (as an example), it's not really known if that's ok or not. I'm sure it was asked somewhere before, but I don't really know where that would be if it was said at all.

Also, some players have issues with pressing a button repeatedly over and over, it's been an issue for some players for awhile now and I can understand WHY it's an issue if you suffer from a medical issue (for example). But besides all the reasons to WHY you'd use a macro, I still don't really know if it's ok or not.

I'll try to dig deeper to get you an answer, but unless a Dev or Mod comes in than... I don't really know if I can find you one. The use of macros in this game is really niche anyways, so not many people ask or mention this to begin with (from what I've seen anyways).

There was enough testing on other aspects of the game to confirm this approach. Especially when you can get near the 100% you will notice that the values with your approach get more unprecise and that the other approach fits. With sabo you will notice with both speed addons and Leader active, makes a total of 110% :) Other example was with efficiency, that was stackable with old green medkits, Streetwise, Botany Knowledge and Selfcare (>90% but definitely not giving 10 healings from the green medkit)

I wasn't denying the approach, I was just saying that the c/s isn't public knowledge. Unless you or I went in-game to meticulously calculate this, than it's not really written anywhere as a confirmed set of information.

I can definitely see what you mean with the 100% example you used on the 2.5 sabo time-frame, but the actual c/s that each toolbox uses is not really known, since the repair graph on the DBD Wiki shows that not every toolbox follows the same c/s format.

  • @irafaye

You click the "New Discussion" button in the top right hand side of the page, its the same button you use to create a post in this sub-forum as well. I'll post an image below of what the button looks like in the top right hand side of the page itself, just click that button and than create your post from there.

    image.png

Once you do this, you fill out your submission and than click post like usual, it'll show up in the page itself once you post your submission. I'll link below the rules to the contest and the post itself as well.

Here's the link to both the "design your cosmetic" contest AND the rules & conditions as well

  • @kkenznaomi_

You can already do this anywhere when you're in Madness Tier lll through the Snap Out mechanic. Wouldn't that be a nerf towards Survivors if you make it so there's only a few designated areas to remove the Madness Tiers?

This was the original description on the wiki when Legion came out.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/940/36H1DAB7JR5W.png

You can still find it via wayback machine.

Than I guess I don't remember it being a thing, it wasn't really mentioned anywhere either (except for the DBD Wiki as this image shows), so I might've not even known it was a feature to his power... I certainly don't remember this feature when I think back to it, so I can't really say for sure if I even knew or not.

The DBD Wiki might've also gotten it wrong, I don't really know.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

When the Legion first came out they had 24 meter Terror Radius and while in Feral Frenzy they had 32 meter Terror Radius, and I heared that this Increased Terror Radius thing still persists.

I've never seen that anywhere and nothing backs up that claim either, past or present. If it was true, I would've remembered it since I've been playing him on and off since his Day 1 release (sounding like a broken record now with that statement...)

Mandy confirmed it above as well, so it seems my suspicions were correct. Not trying to brag of course, i'm just trying to get you an accurate answer as I do with all other questions on this sub-forum.

That could've been what I was mixed up with, probably was. Thanks for telling me that Fire!

No problem, just clearing things up ha ha, nothing personal of course.

    @AhoyWolf

As for your answer, i'm going to say no, your Terror Radius doesn't increase by 8 meters when Feral Frenzy is active. As said in my replies to CheersTC, nothing backs up this claim in-game or on the DBD Wiki, so it's safe to assume that it's not true. I've played Legion on and off since his Day 1 release and I've never seen this mentioned anywhere as a feature to his Feral Frenzy power.

If it was true, it would've been mentioned somewhere.

  • @Deadeye said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1195863#Comment_1195863

I don't know about sabo charges, that was just a sample. You simply said, when it takes 2.5 seconds, a 50% speed bonus makes it to 1.25 seconds. And that is wrong, it makes it 1.666 seconds. The above is a sample to show how speed bonus is caclulated.

Your approach said, when base is 1c/1s, then a 50% boost makes it 1c/0.5s but it is 1.5c/1s, meaning a 100% speed bonus makes it take half the time, not zero time

I'll take your word for it, I can somewhat see what you mean if you apply the 50% to the charges per second and not the base sabo speed, but it's hard to really know the actual estimate without the right numbers.

  • @Cheers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1196112#Comment_1196112

I have no clue where I did actually, but it's always been something I've accepted while playing Legion, my best bet from where I heard it from is Bricky

I don't know who that is, but from what I researched... This claim isn't backed up anywhere.

There was an 8 meter increase to his base-kit Terror Radius in 2.7.0, but that doesn't correspond to Feral Frenzy in anyway.

  • @Cheers said:

Yes, from what I know this is true!

Where did you hear this? From what I've heard this isn't the case and the DBD Wiki doesn't say this either. I checked all over the DBD Wiki and it doesn't mention anywhere that The Legions Terror Radius is increased by 8 meters when Feral Frenzy is active.

I've played The Legion (on and off) since his Day 1 release and I've never heard of this until now. The only related information to this was the base Terror Radius being increased by from 24 meters to 32 in patch 2.7.0, this WOULD give you the 8 meter increase... But not from Feral Frenzy.

  • @Kind_Lemon

Hard to say, Pop in-general requires either a aggressive play-style or a tactical one to get around it, usually stealth is involved with the tactical choice. Could you have gone about both options differently? Well, you could've taken a "stealthy approach" to it, using your environment to mask your where-abouts when the Killer arrives on the scene.

For the chase in the 1st scenario it's hard to really say what you COULD'VE done, it was a latency and/or lag hit that got you, there isn't much you can do to avoid that... it unfortunately just happens sometimes. As for the 2nd scenario, you could've just abandoned the area entirely if your teammate wasn't going to take agro OR help you, so it would've been a better option to move away from that spot if it was such a danger.

There isn't much else to say, you can either gen-rush in these scenarios or stealth away from the area, let them hit the gen and search, than move back to the Generator and regain the lost progress. If your teammates aren't going to help you than that's on them, that only hurts them in the end, ESPECIALLY against a Spirit in scenario 2.

    conclusion

You can't really avoid the issue with teammate cooperation, either your team is willing to help or they're not, that isn't something you can control in the end. As for the downs themselves, try a different approach in similar scenarios and see where that'll go, it might work out better than the gen-rushing option.

  • @Thunderdiamond @MandyTalk

Before I give my opinion on this, it should be noted that i'm not a mod and my word isn't a fact. Take what I say with a grain of salt and that's all, it shouldn't automatically be accepted as a fact if the answer itself is not 100% confirmed.

Anyways, a quick skim through the Game Rules doesn't reveal any answers directly, but it can be argued that this falls under the "Other Hacks" category in the post itself. Here's a quote from that category below.

"Using 3rd party software or other tools to gain any kind of unfair advantage that wasn’t intended by the game, except if they have been whitelisted by us."

I can't say for sure if it's allowed or not, but a macro is technically a 3rd party software... So I'm not entirely sure if this falls under that category since macroing in itself isn't mentioned in the Game Rules as punishable (unless I missed it). I @'ed Mandy to this post for confirmation, but as for an answer from me... I don't know for sure, you'd think it's NOT allowed because it's literally a macro right? As far as The Game Rules says, it never mentions the use of macros as a punishable offence (again, could've missed it).

here's my source if you'd like to go through it yourself

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1195708#Comment_1195708

You said to Alex' toolbox for example "Base-kit time (2.5 seconds) minus the +50% that the speed increase gives (50% of 2.5 seconds is 1.25 seconds) will give you a time-frame of 1.25 seconds for one hook ea)"

50% speed increase doesn't give you 1.25 less time needed. With that calculation a 100% speed boost would reduce the time needed to 0 seconds. But it is calculated as follow: base speed is for example 1 charge per second (1c/s). With 50% speed bonus, it is 1.5c/s or with 100% speed would be 2c/s.

Whatever charges are consumed (if Almo is correct with 2c/s base, but that doesnt matter). Lets say it is 2 charges per second and you need 5 charges to finish a sabo action, to fit the 2.5 sec sabo basetime. Then a 50% speed bonus would make it 3c/sec, meaning you need 1,66 sec to consume the 5 charges.

How do you know if the c/s is 1 charge per second? The repair speed graph disproves that each toolbox has it's own for of c/s, at least for the repair speeds anyways. Why wouldn't the hypothetical sabo speed graph also do the same? I'll ignore that though since we have no idea if it takes 1 charge per speed or more, so we'll just pretend it does for now.

Also, I don't understand what you're referring to either, the post above was an answer for sabotage time-frames, it doesn't really correspond to charge's per second at all, it was just going off of base sabo speed (which is the default sabo time) and any increase/decreases that the other toolboxes add or take away. Due to the issue above with what the charge consumption speed is, the answer I gave was just to answer time-frames and that's all.

One more thing, I still don't understand how -50% to the base 2.5 seconds is not 1.25 seconds, I do understand the 100% comparison, but I don't understand why the 50% wouldn't equate to 1.25 seconds, what else would it equate to unless the math here is off.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/131361/sabotage-toolbox-charges

@Almo regarding my test cases, your calculation does not work. Why is there a difference between a yellow toolbox with wire spool and a commodius, when they have the same amount of charges? (And isn't the base time 2.5 seconds like on the perk?)

@FireHazard This is not how speed bonus works. You say 50% speed bonus results in half the time. Actually a 100% speed bonus would result in half the time. It is like base would be 1 charge per second for progress, and a 50% speed bonus makes 1.5 charges per second. So 15 charges are consumed in 10 seconds.

I don't understand what you mean, either because i'm bad at math or what you said doesn't make sense to me. I had to get that answer without prior knowledge to the c/s for saboing, which still isn't available as of my comment being posted.

Also I was adding and subtracting time for 1 hook being sabo'ed each, unless that's what you're referring to.

  • @olluscjacobus

The In-game description and the DBD Wiki doesn't give much information on this, but I think that's intentional since it might work with the default intoxication time-frame that the Afterpiece tonic applies to a Survivor. At least I think this is the case, there isn't much information I could find about that.

I believe the "intoxication times" isn't it's own thing, it's split between several other effects that the Afterpiece tonic applies to the Survivor that's hit with it. This means that either one of these 3-4 time-frames could be how long the exposed status effect lasts, or it might be it's own separate time-frame as well. So it's either 2 seconds if it's a part of the coughing time-frame OR it's 2.5 seconds if it's a part of the slowdown effect that the Afterpiece tonic applies.

Like I said though, there isn't much information from what I can see that confirms this or not, so I could be wrong.

There's only been like 2-3 of them so far, so a consistent pattern for when they release isn't something I can personally confirm on, I'll just go with what was said above, unfortunately this comment doesn't add much, sorry about that.

The only issue is you can suicide on hook to completely bypass the penalty.

True, but that's already been said a lot in the past... So I believe they're aware of that issue as well.

Players can argue that dying on the hook at the start and DCing is the same thing, which I personally think it's in some ways, but it still rewards the Killer more points than the quitter bonus (at least more valuable points towards the emblem scoring).

Regardless if it rewards more points or not, it can still throw off a team if someone just gives up at the start through DCing or dying on the hook early. Is BHVR going to do something about this? I'm not the one to say, that's something we'll have to see when the DC Penalty System is brought up again.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

IMO the han penalty is a bad change, especially when most players have dirt poor connection.

I'm also not a fan of crashes counting towards the penalty... But the change was definitely needed when you look more into it. So many people DC'ed in moderation when things "didn't go their way" (as an example), so this system really does help prevent the MASS DCing that was happening almost all the time.

Hopefully crashes will be an exception to the system one day, but it was definitely a needed change to DBD for sure.

  • @Eye66 said:

If there was the same number of challenges for both sides itd have been great, that's what I mean

Well, that's why I said "depends how you look at it", some players like MORE Killer challenges than Survivor challenges.

You're not one of those players though, you seem to enjoy an even distribution over an asymmetrical total. I understand it keeps things neat and fair, it'd be odd to see more Killer challenges as a Survivor main, same with more Survivor challenges as a Killer main.

@FireHazard I appreciate you offering your opinion. At first I felt like maybe I was just being sensitive or maybe over-reacting, but then when I saw what the in-game reporting system had for their definitions, I was like no-this is definitely very wrong behavior. I'm going to bookmark that link for the support team. Thank you again for the guidance and input!

@PrettyFaceKate Thank you so much for the app suggestion! I am new to PC, like, 1 month new, so I'm definitely not familiar with all of the systems and apps available to me. I did make note of the VODs, but I know streamers can remove them, so being able to keep a downlaoded record of them will be incredibly helpful. It will also make it easier to submit the specific recorded instance as video proof as FireHazard suggested. I really appreciate it!

No problem, glad it can help you with this and in the future as well.

if it ask for email u put whatever email you use for personal not work emails, and why not just put ur first and last name? also i dont think it has anything to do with needing a twitter

It's mostly just asking for a place to notify you when the pre-registration ends and the beta begins, from what I understand the real name thing is just a means of notification, it isn't necessary (since I don't see another reason as to why it's asked for).

Some of this stuff doesn't even feel like an accident. I hate when you have someone hooked and know an injured person was really close by. But its as if the moaning of the person on the hook starts to emit from places other than where she actually is. I will be running around confused. It basically masks the injured the survivor and helps them out. All these sound issues do.

Also what is with the sound of the sacrifice when there is just 1 person left? The sound of it is so insanely loud it drowns out the sound of the hatch unless you're right on it and this has costed me more than a few times.

The sacrifice sound is loud in-general, I've never heard of it "drowning out the hatch spawn" when it happens, you can still fainly hear it spawn regardless. The hatch will also not spawn until they're full sacrificed, which means there's a grace period of silence BEFORE the audio for the hatch opening appears.

As for sound issues in-general, that's still a re-occurring problem that still needs to be fixed. There isn't much else I can say and/or do about it, it's just something that needs to be fixed when they get to it.

No, your brother is wrong. Only the people who earned those cosmetics during the relevant events should have them. If he got them without earning them, that's a bug.

    @MrDecisive This^

There isn't much else to say besides telling your brother that that's incorrect. If he wants he can go to the Bug Report sub-forum about those skins randomly appearing in this inventory, but that's about as much information as we can give you.

I've never heard of a player getting exclusive cosmetics for an event they've never been to, maybe your brother did go to that event? Who knows, I certainly don't. If he's interested though, than he can file a Bug Report in the Bug Report sub-forum about it.

  • @thesuicidefox

please read this part of the post before reading the rest below

I made an entire post about a similar question awhile back, the only difference is that the question asked for each toolboxes sabo times for one hook each, yours is asking for the charge times overall. Obviously this isn't what you want since you're asking for the charges used for each hook you sabo'ed, NOT the time it takes for each hook to be sabo'ed. But here's the issue with that, there isn't a chart for sabo c/s like there's for repair c/s (c/s = charges per second).

What does this mean? It means there isn't any documented information for how many charges each hooks takes, which means unless a DEV "chimes in" with the answer than you and I would have to factor in a lot of math to figure it out, and even then we'd probably be off unless we go frame by frame in-game to determine how many charges are lost per hook you sabo.

We also don't know if the c/s for saboing a hook is the same for each toolboxes c/s for repair speeds, clearly they're not since Alex's toolbox has a 1.1 c/s speed for repairing, and that toolbox is used for saboing... So an accurate c/s for saboing would require a lot of meticulous research in-game and through the files, something both of us don't really have the patience or time for.

Here's the link to the toolbox section in the DBD wiki to prove there's no c/s for saboing

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Toolboxes

here's the original post asking for each toolboxes sabo times (if you're interested)

Keep in mind that sabotaging a hook takes 2.5 seconds for both Saboteur and a Toolbox (without factoring the speed boost). Knowing this I can just convert the percentages of the base 2.5 seconds, subtract from that base time, and that's your answer. However, take what I say with a grain, just in-case its wrong.

    • [Worn-Out Tools] (No speed increase, so the time remains at 2.5 seconds for one hook ea)
    • [Regular Toolbox] (Slightly increases Sabotage Speed. Base-kit time (2.5 seconds) minus the +10% that the speed increase gives (10% of 1.5 seconds is 0.25 seconds) will give you a time-frame of 2.25 seconds for one hook ea)
    • [Mechanic's Toolbox] (Slightly decreases Sabotage speed. Base-kit time (2.5 seconds) plus the -10% that the speed decrease gives (10% of 2.5 seconds is 0.25 seconds) will give you a time-frame of 2.75 seconds for one hook ea)
    • [Commodious Toolbox] (No speed increase, so the time remains at 2.5 seconds for one hook ea)
    • [Engineers Toolbox] (Moderately decreases Sabotage speed. Base-kit time (2.5 seconds) plus the -25% that the speed decrease gives (25% of 2.5 seconds is 0.6 seconds) will give you a time-frame of 3.1 seconds for one hook ea)
    • [Alex's Toolbox] (Considerably increases Sabotage speed. Base-kit time (2.5 seconds) minus the +50% that the speed increase gives (50% of 2.5 seconds is 1.25 seconds) will give you a time-frame of 1.25 seconds for one hook ea)

These should be the time-frames for each toolbox if my math is correct. I didn't factor in the c/s (charge per second consumption rate) because you just asked for how long it would take to sabotage one hook (each). I could factor that in to find how long a toolbox would list from purely sabotaging, but the DBD Wiki on toolboxes doesn't give a c/s for this, so it could be the same c/s or a completely different one from the repair c/s.

Also, I didn't use add-ons because you didn't ask, so this should be what you're looking for.

The original post that asked this question before

    conclusion?

With all that said in the first section of this comment... It's hard for me to really give you an answer, let alone anyone else that isn't a dev. I and many others would have to research a lot of information to just get you the answer from the ground up, that would take a lot of time... And I mean A LOT of time.

That doesn't mean you should give up, it just means none of us (as far as I know) can't answer this question, at least not a regular forum member anyways.

When they ragequit enough and get banned, they'll swap over to another un-banned account to do the same thing

There are many reasons why that wouldn't last, one of the biggest reasons is the reality of restarting everything just to keep playing, which most players will not bother doing at all.

Personally I wouldn’t know what would happen which is why I wouldn’t insult on any kind of social media, forums, consoles and in person cause I do not wanna know the consequences to what will happen, so I was just commenting on like telling the person to report them if they said that so that way he will, I don’t know I guess get reported. But I had read the forum rules and it says harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, so I had figured that if he was gonna tell someone that on here or just swear on here you’d possibly get a ban, or at least 1 strike. But again I’m sorry I had left stuff out and confused some people a bit or just wasted someone’s time (you).

but just know because I am new to forums I thought you were like, able to text people so I thought he was gonna say that to someone, figures. Im just typing way to fast and I actually got to think about what I’m saying before replying to people.

It's not a waste of time at all, don't beat yourself up about it! (if you were)

Regardless of what you or I think, it's best to just leave our opinions on it and move on. Thank you for your concern with the OP, it's always appreciated! I'm just following up on your reply to give my thoughts on it is all, but I've already said that before so... You're aware of that by now.
