With that being said above, it's in your best interest to use Botany Knowledge with Self-Care. It may waste another perk slot, but Botany Knowledge with Self-Care can save you a lot of time by default... And Botany Knowledge is great for healing other teammates as well. It's not a bad perk combo at all, but using Self-Care by itself is quite a slow and tedious task at times.
But as said above, you could theoretically use Self-Care infinitely in a match... But the actual number of times you can do it depends on you and the amount of time that trial lasts for.

I'm sorry that Mandy tested it faster and you feel your effort is wasted. It totally wasn't. Like I wrote in the other thread, I'm really grateful you took your time to test this out! And I believe your screenshots display the effect quite decent. I'll add your post to "Best Answer" :).

I added your post to the answers as well, I find the scrrenshots very insightful and not wasted at all. Again let me thank you for all your effort with this and the other question, I'm really grateful for it :).
Thank you, that's very sweet.
It's not really about who answers the question though, at least to me, it's just about getting a satisfying answer for the OP. I'm glad you were able to get some use out of it at least. If you have any questions in the future, than don't be afraid to ask them in this sub-forum.

Interesting! That Off the record trumps Distortion really baffles me, I would never have expected that! So the two perks actually work together more or less regarding the show-auro prevention.
Great, great thanks for all your effort, you and your firends put so much work into answering my questions. I would have never expected someone spending their precious time for my "stupid" questions. I'm really grateful and happy right now :D.
Well in theory yes, but your thought about the Scratch Marks being added is not the case, since a token needs to be used for the perk to activate. As a result, The Killer could still see my Scratch Marks.
Since the Scratch Marks part didn't work, combining the perks together is more or less a pointless endeavor unfortunately. It was still worth the look, and definitely gave some in-sight on how some similar perks work together. I thought that they would work together because their activation times were different, but that doesn't seem to matter when you're dealing with perks with similar outcomes.
So in the end, remember this if you come across a scenario that's similar to this one. It seems that the perk with the most output will usually take priority over the other, an example of this is Shadowborne and Monitor & Abuse. If my memory is correct, Shadowborne gives you its FOV increase while ignoring M&As FOV increase/decrease, since Shadowborne gives more FOV. The perks naturally don't combine together, so this is the end result because of that.
In this case, the outcome is slightly different. Instead of the "strongest" perk taking priority, it was the one that gave the longer outcome. So because Off the Record lasts long, it takes priority over Distortion, since Distortion only lasts for 10 seconds when compared to Off the Records 80 seconds. You could argue that they're both useful in their own way, since Distortion doesn't require an unhook to activate... But it's up to the players to decide which is better to them.

If you reported someone in-game about a potential hack than you must also submit a support ticket. For cases like these, a support ticket is ESPECIALLY mandatory when the team is dealing with a hacker, video evidence and other such things like SteamIDs can help out a lot in these cases.
I will provide a link to the support team below, since that's where you need to go to next to submit a ticket. If you have any other questions relating to this one, than please don't be afraid to ask.
Here's the link to the support team

Edit
I didn't realize that Mandy already tested this... So I basically wasted my time for nothing and added nothing to this. 😥 I was originally going to talk about the images below and maybe produce a recording if needed, but that isn't necessary now. I'm glad the OP was able to get a satisfying answer though.
-
Is this good enough?
I recorded it too, but I personally don't want to edit a video that an image can already tell you.
As you can see, i'm 40 meters away from the hooked Survivor, BBQ activates and Off the Record takes priority over Distortion. So as a result, Distortion doesn't use a token and cannot activate because of this. So this means that Distortion will not add onto Off the Record, because the token cost is required for it to work.
I was able to confirm that Distortion didn't activate because I asked The Killer if they could see my Scratch Marks when I ran away. They said they could, which means a token cost is required for Distortion to actually go into effect.
tl;dr
Off the Record took priority over Distortion, so the token cost was not used and Distortion did not activate because a token cost is required to activate Distortions ability.

Yep, thats what I'm thinking as well. Would likely be easier to implement it this way, and / or the devs may not even have thought about this connection between the perks.
Yep, the perk explicitly states "to the killer". But when Distortion was added, Fixated didn't exist, so every scratch mark could only be seen by killers. The description just doesn't matter here. It all boils down to the actual implementation. Does Distortion only hide existing scratch "entities", or does it prevent them? It could be both, the first case could mean you see your own scratches during Distortion, the second would mean you don't. Like I said, it' just a small, irrelevant detail I'm curious about ^^.
Well it's indeed a weird connection to begin with, so it's interesting to see the results.

Interesting, thanks for the response ;3
No problem, i'm glad that I could cleared things up for you. I can see why that would be confusing to see in-game.
-
It's a map marker, aka a "Light Beam". It's from a map add-on called the "Glass Bead" which lets other Survivors (with a map and this add-on) leave markers like these on the ground for all other Survivors to see.
Think of it as a signal to give you a vague idea of what another Survivor wants you to see/know. Most Survivors that use it just meme around with it, I hardly see anyone actually use it for it's intended purpose.
-
If you want perks that can boost another Survivors healing speed (while healing you), than use something like Leader for that. Leader specifically boosts other Survivors cleansing, healing, sabotage, and unhooking speeds. Anything that improves YOUR healing speed only affects your active healing, it doesn't change anything when you're in the dying state or when someone else is healing you, it only affects YOUR healing speed on yourself (with Self-care or a med-kit) and others.
If you want a perk that can increase you dying state recovery speed, than Unbreakable is something you should invest in, maybe add Flip-Flop onto that if you have the DLC, and Tenacity as well. Basically that works like this, Unbreakable increases your recovery speed, Tenacity lets you recover in the dying state while crawling away (which is also quicker with this perk) and Flip-Flip takes 40% of your recovery bar and puts it into your wiggle bar when you're picked up. Besides that, the rest has been answered above.

"It's a tricky question since your aura will be revealed on the hook"
Distortion is not triggered when you are hooked. Only when the Killer or Survivor use a perk that shows the aura to the killer (BBQ, Nurses, OOO an so on).
"they'll both activate at the same time"
Also Off the Record and Distortion will normally not get activated together, there is no perk that shows your aura after being unhooked directly (that would be totally nuts), it could just happen by chance (BBQ being used the second you are unhooked). It much more likely that your Off the Record is already active and then the aura shall be revealed to the killer.
For example, you are unhooked and then healed, and the killer returns with nurses. Does this activate Distortion or not? I think it would, since Distortion grants an effect that is not covered by Off the Record (the Scratchmarks Removal). Which I think would be a shame, but understandable. If Distortion had only the effect of removing Aura, but not scratches, and still a token is spent in this scenario, this would be aweful.
"having both perks at once is more hindering than helpful in my opinion."
That I can agree on ^^. I just stumbled about this question when I was thinking about Babysitter and using perks to prevent the killer from seeing me. Only these two can prevent this. But how do they work together? That I was asking myself ^^.
"Distortion is not triggered when you are hooked. Only when the Killer or Survivor use a perk that shows the aura to the killer (BBQ, Nurses, OOO an so on)."
Yes I know it's not triggered when you're on a hook, I'm talking about how Distortion wastes a token when you're on the hook WHILE Off the Record is not active. Perhaps I should've elaborated more on that.
"Also Off the Record and Distortion will normally not get activated together, there is no perk that shows your aura after being unhooked directly (that would be totally nuts), it could just happen by chance (BBQ being used the second you are unhooked). They can be activated together, but the conditions for this are rare. You'd have to get unhooked and have the Killer use BBQ and Chili (outside of 40 meters) to see if they'd both react. Obviously I don't know if this will happen unless I had 2 other players to help me test it (which I don't). Your question however was asking about what would happen if both were active, that's what i'm trying to figure out for you.
"That I can agree on ^^. I just stumbled about this question when I was thinking about Babysitter and using perks to prevent the killer from seeing me. Only these two can prevent this. But how do they work together? That I was asking myself ^^."
I'll try to get you an answer, but it might take some time. I don't really see the point personally, but whatever.

Streetwise is probably more useful for items like flashlights, tools, maps and key aura readings. At least from what I've found so far, it makes it so a yellow quality set of tools plus items that makes repairing faster make a single gen be a breeze.
Yeah, anything else like healing is excluded from this. Since (in my opinion) healing speed perks outshine Consumption Rate perks when it comes to healing. I'd argue that repair speed perks also beat consumption rate perks when it comes to toolboxes, but that's another discussion.
Everything else is free-gain.

Ehi! Just to be sure there is no confusion here...
I suppose you are talking about the Poised Jane Teachable Perk right? Discordance is a Killer Legion Teachable perk and doesn't remove your scratch marks.
No, I think he means Distortion, he made that same error in another question.
Distortion also plays with scratch marks, so I probably need to edit my question above since I was confused by this as well (until it was cleared up in the other post). Anyways, Distortion masks your scratch marks for 10 seconds, and Fixated shows your scratch marks when you run. So Fixated (in theory) is just showing you what the Killer sees, so it'd most likely mask the scratch marks as well for your view.
Even if it doesn't, it doesn't really do anything for you.

They probably mean Distortion
Ah, in that case than either three things will happen in this scenario. Either Distortion will still use the token and take priority over Off the Record, Off the Record will take priority over Distortion because the time it lasts out-weighs distortion, OR because their activation requirements are a bit different, they'll both activate at the same time. But Off the Record will last longer because of the amount of time it has over Distortion.
This seems like the more likely scenario, since both activation requirements are different... Which means they can theoretically be activated at different times or at the same time.
It's a tricky question since your aura will be revealed on the hook, which wastes a token, and when you've been unhooked than Off the Record will go into effect. Unless it's tested in-game, than I don't know if the token is saved or not. From personal experience with other perks (with similar scenarios), i'd say it'll still be used regardless. If that's not the case, it doesn't really matter since Off the Record will outlast Distortion anyways, which makes having both perks pointless.
So as a final thought...
It would probably use the token (because the activation requirements are different), and still suppress your scratch marks while Off the Record outlasts it. Even if i'm wrong, having both perks at once is more hindering than helpful in my opinion.
-
Anything that has to do with a license needs permission from the license holder, that's why The Pig and Michael Myers didn't have alternate skins for a long time, they needed permission to do it first.
-
Discordance doesn't use tokens? It's just an aura reading perk and that's all.
So no, Off the Record doesn't prevent a token from being used if the perk itself doesn't use tokens to begin with? Perhaps you can elaborate more on what you mean by "token". From what i'm reading, I think you've confused Discordance with another perk, since Discordance doesn't work with scratchmarks or tokens.
-
I'll look into it, pretty sure it still masks the scratch marks because it's just showing you what the Killer sees, it's not it's own thing.

Honestly, I don't actually think anything can be done about it from the devs perspective, other than taking a game mechanism out of the game (NO, I am not suggesting it as an actual option. Not now, not ever), hence my plea to the actual players.
There will be a time to be toxic, as this is still just a video game, and those who take it too seriously in some ways deserve treatment that puts it back in perspective. Also, in terms of strategies you described, you and I both know that a player who has put 50 or more hours into DBD is likely to not only be able to distinguish toxic behavior from a valid strategy, but also be able to tell when another player happens to turn a strategy into an actually toxic behavior.A player of rank 18-20 gets the benefit of doubt everytime, but a rank 13-17 - as those ranks tend to facilitate toxic behavior the most due to the penalties not effectively reducing their rank - should really know better. As I said, it is very difficult to define "toxic" behavior in DBD, and hence the "I know it when I see it" legal test. In fact one of the ways of "judging" toxic behavior would be to allow players to watch reported matches, with players names blacked out, and have them examine the behavior and ultimately act as juries and reach verdicts regarding inappropriate conduct. This could even be rewarded with like 5 cells or 25 shards to facilitate its implementation. Yes, I realize this would more than likely open a whole new Pandora's Box but it is just a suggestion mostly driven by the current situation.
Imagine for a second you only get 1 hour to play DBD every evening. In those 60 minutes you are only going to play at most 4 trials to completion as you will lose at least 4 minutes on the Lobby delay in itself, another 4 minutes on any post trial analysis, another 4 minutes actually spending your BPs, and lets be optimistic and say there is only a 60 second wait between each trial. So, 44 minutes translates to 11 minutes per trial if played to completion, and 11 minutes may not be quite a full-throttle generator blitz but it also does not convey a full DBD trial experience .
As you can see, 3 trials may be a more realistic scenario for that 60 minute time limit. Now, please also imagine one of these 3 trials ends up being a trial where a player happens to offer either "Escape Cake" or "Bloody Party Streamers" and another survivor hinders not only the trial progress but also the overall game experience.
When this happens, not only do other players get needlessly stressed out (and stress is terrible right now, for everything from your immune system to your overall mental health) , they also happen to transfer a lot of emotions into and out of their "free/me time" . Given this substantial transference going on, the last thing anyone needs right now is to be thinking of some horse's ass player that made us lose faith in humanity for that one second for no reason what so ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: One final point as far as holding the game hostage: Yes, I do agree that there is no higher punishment than a ban that could ever be enforced. However, I have reported at least 1 player for a particular exploit ( I will admit the following: my gaming PC currently does not allow me to record gameplay footage itself using Steam overlay, and I have not looked into installing a free 3rd party recording software , partially due to not having the time to examine the specs of the anti-cheat mechanism to ensure I do not run afoul of it, but if devs can somehow trace trials by crossmatching my player name with another player name I can provide for examination, I would be happy to do so again. In fact I am almost positive all the chats are logged and there was something that occurred in one of the chats that would be a definite proof of mild-to-severe level of illegal player behavior ). It would have been reassuring to have one dev to at least mention it in an emal/steam/ingame message or even better make a forum thread topic about it.
The exploit itself effectively allowed a survivor to "re-inject" themselves into the trial after in-game death. Another player already dead and in the post-trial lobby could actually "spectate" them, yet these survivors would not be seen by the killer (registered as dead within the trial environment itself) within the trial. While solo survivors could not actually exploit this bug, those SWF players could actually derive a huge advantage from it by having their dead teammate "shadow" the killer while the others still alive continued their progress. Apparently, this would cause the reanimated survivor to be stuck in the trial after its completion, forcing them to actually disconnect and get zero bloodpoints in order to leave.
This being said, players taking advantage of such exploits bother me less than survivors who for example block other survivors in non-exitable areas of maps, such as those where tokens often materialize. These situations force the locked-in survivors to wait for the killer, actually find a way to signal them to come over, or disconnect from the trial all together leading to a loss of acquired bloodpoints, in-game rank, and finally even longer delay when waiting for the next trial to begin.
IDEA: One possible suggestion is if for example both a survivor and a killer player happen to report another player for in-game conduct, such reports should automatically get added to a list for immediate review. Those players found guilty of illegal behavior could have the next 250K bloodpoints redistributed to the 4 other players in the affected trial, and each subsequent violation within a 90 day frame would lead to doubling of the penalty , such that 3 strikes would require you to earn 1 million BPs before you could spend them on leveling up perks of your own characters and acquiring items. This - on top of the behavior itself - would also lead toxic players to lose rank, forcing them to play with players of rank 18-20, who - without such penalties for illegal conduct - would move up in ranks and away from toxic players through the emblem awarding system on their own.
In vast majority of real-life situations, penalties that not only punish the perpetrator, but also reward the affected party, tend to be far more effective at reducing dangerous illegal behavior than stricter punishments on their own.
I personally don't agree with the jury style of handling stuff like this, it can be easily abused by other players for various reason. One being that "I don't like that guy.", even if this player is slightly toxic. "toxic" in-general just defines a player that's distasteful towards others, it's been twisted around so much in this community that it starts to dilute it's true meaning.
But again, a jury handling something like that is not something I personally want to get behind, it should be handled by a support team by default. Also it's hard to say that you're 100% sure if someone is being toxic off of... what? How they play alone? You can't really guess that someone is toxic, they either are or not. If someone is t-bagging you in-game, that's BMing... not toxicity. If they do that and than harass you afterwards, than that's a different story. Of course if someone body blocks you in a corner, that's kind of a no brainer that they're intentionally trying to ruin your experience. A player won't do this out of the blue though... Hence why I rarely see it happen.
I agree that stress is bad, I mean who doesn't? But you can't eliminate toxicity, you can only contain and suppress it. This might be a cynical outlook on it, but you'll always find a player that will go out of their way to ruin your experience. It could even happen on a whim, because you "didn't do something they wanted you to do", which has happened to other players before. This is why the in-game report system exists, it helps suppress this behavior and take care of anyone who misbehaves. This is a common format that pretty much every game follows now, especially with how gaming has become pretty mainstream these days.
Don't think of it as pointless though, reporting someone is definitely helpful and appreciated. It definitely keeps less and less people from acting this way, and it even helps out others besides yourself! But yes, I can see why the limited play-time mixed with the potential toxicity during that play-time can be stressful indeed. I personally don't come across these types of players that much, they're quite rare for me. And as I've said before, I've never seen anyone go after specific players for no reason, there's always a reason behind it.
As for your last bits of info
Some people have said this before in the past, that an email of sorts would be nice to receive. While the support team isn't required to do this, I can see why it would be nice and "reassuring" to the reporter who reported this issue. The support team most likely has their own reasons behind WHY they don't do this, and I personally can't tell you what those reasons are (because I obviously don't know).
Also you mentioned an exploit where these players would "inject themselves back into the game after death". if this has happened to you in-game than I hope you know to record it for a report. If you didn't that one time, than please keep that in-mind if it happens again. If they DOES happen again, record it, report it in-game, submit a support ticket, and than BHVR can take care of it from there.
As for aggressive body blocking, that's another debate as well... If a Survivor is body blocking you repeatedly, than some would argue that it should be reportable as well. It's technically griefing (which is reportable), but minor body blocking is usually ignored. I personally don't want to debate that topic for my own reasons, but I can agree that aggressive body blocking is not ok.
My criticism about your ending idea
Your idea is good, but there's an issue with it. I don't know if BHVR is able to tax a players blood-points and distribute it to 4 other players. I feel that would require a lot of manual editing on the devs part, which I can tell you is something they most likely won't do. I agree that a harsher punishment will deter players from acting that way, whether being toxic or breaking the rules, but a ban usually is enough to do this... Also, I personally don't think the average player should be rewarded for reporting someone who is clearly breaking the rules, it's an incentive yes, but that defeats the point of the system. It's like giving candy to a child who won't eat their vegetables, you shouldn't reward them with one thing to get them to do the other... but like all of what I've said, it's just my opinion.
-
The Bloody skins themselves are just an alternative to the default skins, it's not an effect that applies itself to other skins... So no, it won't apply itself to other store bought skins.
Take for example Michael Myers, you know that his default skin is his Mechanics Jumpsuit, Mask, and Knife. The Bloody version is just an alternate version of that skin. So if you buy his hospital gown beforehand, it will not transfer over to that skin as a result... Since that's not how it works.
-
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, it's indeed taking it's toll on all of us, some more than others.
But without sounding like "that guy", I would like to elaborate more on what you're asking. While yes, some players will inherently be toxic to others (as is their nature), asking the "general public" on the forums will not stop it. If you're being harassed in-game about something (which is the vibe i'm getting here), than you can report them in-game and let the support team take care of it.
If they're harassing you outside of the game, say in PSN or Xbox messages, than you can report them to Xbox or Playstation and block them afterwards. It'll save you more time than it's worth if you engage with it.
This doesn't mean that it won't stop, since we'll always come across players like these (unfortunately), it'll just ensure that their behavior will not go unchecked. If you can't handle the potential toxicity that might happen in post-chat, than please close it so you don't have to worry about it. If it happens in-game, than ignore it. Be the bigger person and you'll feel a lot better because of it. Some players will always be aggressive towards others, but it's best to know that you can report them for this and even ignore them outright.
Don't let them get to you, that's what they want. Hopefully this helps, sorry if it's kind of short.
Something else I wanted to address
In my opinion, I don't agree with the idea of enforcing more punishments on "trolling" and holding the game hostage. To get the latter out of the way, it's already perma bannable to hold the game hostage, so it's hard to give harsher punishments on it. You could argue that it could be "less lenient", but it's already super non-lenient as is... As for trolling, trolling can be ignored entirely... It only gets to you if you let it.
You could also argue that "body blocking another Survivor (as a Survivor) is hard to ignore". Which I agree with, it's hard to ignore this when it's happening to you... But to be honest with you, it rarely happens to begin with. That's not to say it doesn't happen, but it's hard to really say if this should be punished or not, that's a debate in itself. You're not stuck there forever, and the crows notify the Killer, if the Killer starts working with that Survivor THAN that's ENTIRELY different.
As for last second suicides, If you mean when a Survivor dies on the hook when you're about to get to them, than that only hinders them to be honest. They died, lost, and move on. You can still progress, you can still Survivor. Albeit the goal is harder, it's still possible. There is an on-going debate about Suiciding on the hook being the equivalent to DCing, but that's ALSO another topic.
As for the rest of what you asked, that was said above. I'm sorry this might happen to you, that it causes you more stress on to your day, but I wouldn't let it get to you... It only piles on the stress.

Well thanks for contacting to me. I was rank 1 before rank reset. After rank reset I can't get rank progress it seems to be impossible. For sure I am not getting noob I play this game since the relish day. I am going to let this for some more days. I will try to rank up but if I don't see any change or if I see other users to have the same problem I will text to dbd team.
Are you gaining pips in-game? Or does the game ignore this and de-ranks you instead?
This is important to know, since i'd like to confirm if this is NOT a bug related issue and instead a lapse in judgement. If there is anything else you can provide than that would be great. Maybe some small information of what the scoring is like post-match would help.

A nice way to give it some use in those occasions.
For the Survivor yeah, for the Killer it's still problematic. The Survivor is the one that connects the "aura link", so they can determine how close you're from how long the perk is lit up. If they're looking at you and it's lit for a few seconds, than they can guess that you (the Killer) is coming for them.
They can also sever the link at will, so it's more-so a reverse spine-chill when you think about it.
-
Never heard of your rank being set back this much before, especially for every match you play. Are you sure that those ranks had a few pips in them beforehand? Since if you played "poorly" than you'll naturally lose a pip, which will de-rank you (if you have no pips in that rank level).
If you're just being set back by 1 rank every match (regardless if you play well or not) than please report this to the Bug Report sub-forum so the devs are aware of this issue, if it's already reported than up vote that post and maybe leave a comment as well. You've already contacted support about this, but have you contacted them directly about this specific issue that you're facing?
Also this is a no brainer, but was this post rank reset or during rank reset? Rank reset happens on the 13th of every new month.
Here's the link to the bug report sub-forum

If my memory is correct, equations like these for perks is additive, so the 1st equation should be correct, which is 53 seconds. If i'm wrong, which I wouldn't be surprised if I am, than the 2nd equation would the the alternative answer.
-
I'll answer both of these in their own separate questions. It'll be short and sweet, right to the point.
- [Question #1] (Can you open the hatch while you are in the dying state?)
- [Answer #1] (No, you can't open the hatch while you're downed/in the dying state, you can only open it when you're in the healthy or injured state.)
- [Question #2] (Can you reopen the hatch after it was closed by the killer after having been opened a first time with another key? I know you can reopen it if it openend by itself first.
- [Answer #2] (Yes, you can theoretically open the hatch 4 times in a row if every Survivor has a key. If The Killer closes the hatch after it was opened, than you can re-open it again and again and again, right up until every Survivor has escaped.)
You probably couldn't open the hatch a 2nd time because you were downed, if you're downed than you can't open the hatch with a key. It's a weird mechanic, but that's how it works. You probably couldn't open it after you got up because of the key bug that sometimes happens. What is the key bug? Well, it's when the key doesn't let you use it until you drop it and pick it up again, than it will allow you to open the hatch like normal.
It's a strange bug, but it's been known for awhile now.

You have to use her blinks against her and the nerf that comes with them now.
When she fails to down you with both her blinks, use that as your opportunity to gain some distance. She'll either need to use a blink to get to your, walk to you, or break off the chase entirely afterwards. To "lose her" in a chase, you need to use your environment against her. A good Nurse will adapt to this short-coming, but using objects like rocks, tire stacks, cars, and other such objects will require her to charge her blink for a longer set of time. Sometimes these objects will mess with the distance she can blink as well, so you can use that to your advantage to dodge some hits.
Your best option when facing The Nurse is to use loops and objects against her, using the tips above and the loops around you can help out in a chase. I've already said what you can do with the objects, but with the loops you can try blocking your view from her and use the high walls of certain loops to your advantage. If you're at a loop with low walls than that's a death sentence in my opinion.
That's about it though, there's probably more to it than that, but I personally haven't faced The Nurse in a long time. Neither did I face her before her nerf as well, it was pretty rare to begin with.

Never said "thanks" for the reply. Now I realize except for NOED there will be a LIT totem at the start if they have a HEX. Maybe we get lucky and cleanse NOED before it activates even just by cleansing 1 totem - the right one.
That's usually the best strategy against NOED, either cleanse all 5 totems to prevent it from spawning OR leave one totem up and know exactly where it'll spawn.
The former is usually the better option.

Some small info that might be useful.
A Survivor might not be able to see your aura when using OoO, but they can use it as a "pocket Spine-chill" for alternative when this happens. This means they rely on the perk lighting up or not to determine if you're looking in the Killers direction. This depends on OoOs Tier to know how many meters they're roughly in, if OoO is constantly lit, than they can get a general idea of you going after them or not.
Hopefully that makes sense, its a trick OoO users will utilize when OoO isn't working.

Agree. BTW, I usually run "botany-knowledge" rather than "streetwise", time counts alot.
Definitely, maybe they'll buff the latter in the future idk.

oh ok so all they need to do is touch it , it does'nt matter if they start to destroy it or just scrape the edges it still activates ?
Yes, once they stand on it the Oblivious effect and any other add-on effects will apply to that Survivor. Depending on the add-on, the effect may linger for a set amount of time.
As for the Oblivious effect, it stops after you step off of the portal.
-
The Oblivious Status Effect is put on them by default, it stays on them for as long as they're standing on the portal.
The add-ons effects only stack on a Survivor when the portal is active WHILE they're standing on it, it doesn't apply the effect to them after the portal is destroyed UNLESS it says that in the add-ons description. From what I can see, most if not ALL add-ons will apply the effect to a Survivor after the portal is destroyed, the time varies with each add-on.

I am really glad you are talking about this with an open mind instead of an ignorant one.
And I gotta agree with just about everything you said. But I think BHVR will def get Frank if the want for him is high enough. Seeing how Bill got put onto console because of Fan Demand and all that. I just gotta keep spreading the word around and gain more people on my Twitter @CriminChaos to help get Frank in.
Thank you for the feedback!
It's definitely possible, but it really depends on if the fans want it and if BHVR wants it... And if the license holders want it too that is. You've said that Capcom loves cross-overs, but it really depends on the circumstances at the end of the day.
-
I honestly forgot Bill existed until you mentioned him, but allow me to elaborate on what I mean.
Bill is from the Left For Dead franchise, which is owned by Valve Studios. Valve owns Steam, which in turn is where Dead By Daylight is launched from/played on. So in theory, because of this... it's an exception from what I was trying to get at. This may not be 100% accurate, but my point was that not every game license is easy to get, let alone willingly given out.
Also, BHVR might not be interested in acquiring a licenses of other game characters, except Bill who is owned by the corporation that owns Steam. This is why I feel Bill is an exception to this, DBD is on Steam, and both parties were interested in releasing Bill onto DBD. Even if Valve didn't own the L4D brand, it still depends on the fact that both parties need to be interested. Just because it's something YOU or other players want, doesn't mean that it's what BHVR wants.
But who knows, it could happen. Don't let my opinion deter yours, it's just a view on how I see it. We have no idea if BHVR would be interested in acquiring the license to Frank Wests character, that's entirely up to them willingness to get it.
-
Anything is possible (within reason of course).
Would it happen though? In my personal opinion no. We've yet to see a DLC of a character from another game franchise, probably because of licensing issues. Could this happen though? Possible. It really depends on if both parties want it or not.

The blood points are slightly too small for it to maintain a great amount of interest. I have to say I enjoyed the game quite a bit more with the 1.5x blood rush than I ever have. It had a good pace to it and felt like I could put in some effort and get the perks and blood webs I wanted. Personally I wish they'd keep it permanently. But I suspect they have stats that shows the 1.5x hurts the addon to balance ratio.
The latter is probably why it's not a normal thing, but I think it's more deeprooted than that.
Some players would like a 1.5x or 2x blood point increase, but they don't realize how they might affect the overall pace of the grind. Some grinding might be easier than it used to be, but it might actually make it MORE boring as a result. It's good to increase the grind once in a while as an event, but making it a permanent feature is... questionable. It might not actually affect anything, but you never know.

They've acted on hate speech before, it's for sure enforced and not accepted in pre or post chat (in-game). If it's somewhere outside of the game itself, than you'll have to deal with it through THAT providers report systems. Say, if they say those words on Xbox, than you report them through Xbox. If they say it in-game on PC, than that's different.
When it happens on Console through in-game than that's different, I believe Xbox also takes care of that (could be wrong though). As for hate speech in-general, you should for sure report it if it happens to you in-game.
As for the second question, I also don't know where to site this, but I do remember it being a reportable offence. If I can find it for you in the future, than i'll update this comment. As of right now though, the Game Rules doesn't seem to mention this... So I don't remember where I saw this (probably in the in-game reports).

Thanks again, Mr. FireHazard.
Although we talk so many words about this question, just our conjectures to "consumption rate". We can't make a conclusion about this...that is really confusing.
Hopefully they improve upon it in the future, as of right now though... It's safe to assume that Healing Speed is better than Consumption Rate, which is usually is (depending on the percentages in play).
If it was something like 10% healing speed vs 25% consumption rate, than that'd be a bit different.
-
If it's not a public thing than they'll most likely say no.
I've never heard of this happening anyways, so i'm going to just say no as well. As said above, I don't think its even possible anyways, even if the rumors about other players doing it through "unconventional means". You'll unfortunately have to wait until it's a public access feature for everyone, or (if you're lucky) at least when it's had more work done to it.
-
Unfortunately, if the game doesn't end by itself automatically... Than you'll probably have to DC. I'm not one for condoning DCing, but sometimes the game will not end no matter how long you wait.
It's not a SUPER common bug, but it's known by the community. Your best option is to post a Bug Report on the Bug Report sub-forum OR find a pre-existing post and vote it up, maybe leave a comment after explaining your similar encounter with it. Besides that though, there isn't much else you can do if the game didn't end during the time you waited for a response. So again, there isn't nothing you can do unfortunately.
I've had a similar encounter with this bug in the past, but the game ended after about 10 minutes of waiting when the EGC counted down. If the EGC counted down and it's been 10 minutes already, than it might take longer OR it might not end at all. I'm not a speculator in the minimum time this bug will automatically end the match, so I don't know.
-
If there were blank icons, than they'd most likely be hidden from the public for general use.
The devs most likely have some, but they're probably not given out for the same reason that the perk icons are not in high resolution. Even if this wasn't the case, there isn't any that I can find for you at this time. You'll probably have to make your own, or photoshop over pre-existing ones.

Compared to other games, the grind is not so bad. I personally hate grindy games and that's why I quit Warframe, I couldn't handle it anymore after 400hrs of pure grind.
Understandable, it's an "acquired taste" I guess.
Some people like having a goal, some don't care either way. Sometimes it's not about a goal though, it's more-so about how much a person is willing to put into a game they like. If they enjoy the grind and completionist outlook, than grinding is for them. If not, than they prefer a more casual style of gaming.
But like I said, it's not for everyone.

Hey so I did a test myself. I had Streetwise and a yellow Medkit (I had other perks but nothing that would affect healing).
I was able to heal myself 1 full time and then about 90% the second time. I had Pharmacy, and was able to heal myself the rest of the way AND 1 full heal with some left over. So it seems the Streetwise definitely affects how much you can use an item, but the way the formula works is not, let's say usual.
It could also be a bug, where the perk is doing less than it says on the charge. That seems like the most likely answer because I can't for the life of me figure out how "consumption rate" would work any other way. It definitely seems like you should be able to get 2 full heals from a yellow Medkit.
Consumption Rate in-general is quite a mystery. Does it reduce the consumption rate of the add-ons charges? Or does it add charges to the add-on itself?
Those two sound one in the same, but they seem to yield different results when testing it. I don't fully understand it myself, so I just tend to ignore anything related to consumption rate. Besides, healing speed add-ons and perks do seem to be more effective than consumption rate add-ons and perks, or at least from what I've seen in my opinion. So even if we knew for sure, it shows that Streetwise is still less effective than Botany Knowledge.
You could say that that's obvious from the 33% healing speed increase vs the 25% consumption rate increase, but sometimes some perks yield more than they make it out to be. Maybe Streetwise is one of those perks, I don't know. Is it bugged? Or is that how it's supposed to work? I also don't know. The entire debate in-general isn't as important as some make it out to be, but I suppose it's worth the look.

Unless there is post about it than there is no official date at this time. Players speculate that it'll come out 2 weeks after the PTB closes (which it did about a few days ago), but that's purely speculation of how past updates/DLCs work.
As of right now though, there is no official date.

Unless this is a meme, than I can see why the grind might not appeal to some players. It really depends on how much time you're willing to put into it.

You cant know using TR, but other noises from the killer. F.e., Spirit is quite noisy with those broken glasses sounds. A Blink and fatigue is direccional. And some of that.
Some noises are directional, some are not.
The Terror Radius, as said above, is not one of these noises. It's hard to really know where a Killer is unless they're about 10 meters from you (or maybe less). In the Spirits case, she does have a directional noise with the broken glass, but most Killers don't unfortunately. Well, besides breathing and other directional noises like pallet breaking, but i'm talking about Killer specific noises.
-
No, there hasn't been an update to flashlight saves. The way it works is that you need to blind them during the end of the pick up animation, that's how you can get a flashlight save without coming across the issue you're describing. If you blind them during the animation, than it doesn't count as a flashlight save, it just counts as a flashlight blind.
Basically, you're just suffering from bad timing and that's about it. Look up some videos, practice the timings, you'll eventually get it.
-
Pretty sure it does, I believe that feature was made to counter-act that exact issue. Some Killers, like bubba, would just instantly hit the unhooked Survivor during their unhook, so this feature was made to prevent a Survivor from being instantly downed along with the Survivor they just unhooked.
The issue is that Leatherface can just wait a second for the immunity to dissipate, hence why you MIGHT still get downed, depending on the scenario you're in. If it's in the basement for example, than Bubba can just wait for the Survivor to unhook you (for example) and than down both of you afterwards. Before, he could just sprint down the stairs and down you both on the cusp of the unhooking animation being finished.
I guess what i'm saying is that the immunity frames for being unhooked are not long enough to avoid this. So unless they give the unhooked Survivor a few seconds of grace... Than this issue will still persist.
