Honestly I'm not sure what kind of discussion we can get from this. I just thought it was funny.
Any fun "Ooh… now the tables are turning to the other side, which is the side that I’m on...of the table. Yeah!" stories? That's a fun topic, right?
Trying to stop 3 people from bumrushing the hook as ptb legion with your frenzy and finding out that using your fifth hit on endurance doesn't stop your frenzy basically giving you another chance to hit the survivor that was unhooked. They didn't even give me 5 seconds to get out to check gens, man...
-
Already did it. Meg and Legion. Meg because Legion LITE.
-
Funny enough being called a bot nowadays is a pretty good compliment. Hacker bots running around makes it all the less insulting.

- Trying to pip up past gold as solo is like punching yourself in the coin purse. I've had teams literally just leave me on hook, absent any camping, after I ran the killer for a lap and half of the map and they did 3 gens. It's way too easy to depip as a survivor compared to killer if you aren't able to both do a goodly amount of gens and unhook/heal folks. The 'distraction' bonus you get feels pitiful.
- As others have said time and time again, camping is far too strong of a strategy for how hard it is to counter and easy it is to execute. Once a killer is at Iri 1 - the point penalty means diddly crap.
- Midwich is an evil map to face some killers on.
Example for point 3, Legion when the midchapter comes out.

Pure offense build. Power Struggle, Flip Flop, Head On and Blast Mine.

It's like Mettle of Man but instead of taking Protection hits you need to dodge the killers attack, and instead of getting Enduring like Mettle of Man you get to stun the killer when you get hit.
Oh okay. Thanks for letting me know. Have a good one.

This is the thing I was talking about for my idea for Buckle Up. I changed it so it no longer gives the Enduring status effect.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317838/swallow-this-perk-replacement/p1?new=1
Had another idea involving fast vaulting windows to stun a killer like the head on of windows. Everybody wants to kick a killer in the face! Also I read that earlier but I'm too tired to comprehend it rn.

Playing the game 50/50 as killer/survivor I must say... it is getting pretty painful for killers. So, point noted.
Same here. Though occasionally my dumb self gets entitled on either side no matter what. Not even us 50/50's are safe.

A single time use unbreakable to prevent a slugger, which can at best be used to get two other survivors up once seems reasonable to me. Here, how's this: it doesn't work on any survivor with a perk giving them the ability to get up on their own anyway.
A swf could just have the person run that plus unbreakable anyway. Dear god. Imagine Ds, Adrenaline, borrowed and dead hard along with one person there bringing your version of buckle up... Glad you like my idea, though.

My tweaks.
Buckle Up:
Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability.
You can determine the Recovery progress of dying Survivors by the intensity of their Aura at a distance of 48 metres away. When healing another Survivor from the Dying State to the Injured State, the Killer's Aura is revealed to the both of you for 6/8/10 seconds. If you successfully recover a survivor from the Dying State any other survivors currently in the Dying State are given a once per match ability to pick themselves up from the Dying State as well. After this happens the effect is lost for the remainder of the trial.
Flip Flop
You have an uncanny ability to escape the inevitable.
While in the Dying State, 50 % of your Recovery progression is converted into Wiggling progression, up to a maximum of 40/45/50 %, once you are picked up by the Killer. The progression transferred is maintained (up to 40/45/50%) for the remainder of the trial until you successfully escape the killer's shoulder. Then the perk resets.
WOAH THERE, SONNY!
You can't just give other survivors built in unbreakable just from healing one survivor from the dying state. Flip flop is a good change but Buckle up needs something different. What about something similar to Babysitter where you get a haste effect for the same amount of time? Maybe even have it continuously give haste until you stop healing the survivor which will then be made into a short duration.
-
I want a killer that forces survivors to be in first person for the whole trial at the expense of the killer moving at 110%.
-
@anarchy753 said:
I don't like it, mainly for the fact that the killer's only way to determine progress is to kick it, meaning you either waste regression perks on hardly touched gens, or don't use them on a secretly 99ed gen.
Killers would also have to walk up to every single gen to see if it was kickable even at 0 progress when most checks are done from a distance. It would be an insanely huge advantage for a perk which may or may not even be in a game.
What if the sound was still there but it would visually look unkicked so you'd have to take a closer look?
-
I just want legion to have a thing similar to bubba's unlockable masks but with the tapes so we could play them without having to use the addons.

At this point, a full blown rework (as in an entirely new power) is very unlikely for The Legion. I'll never say never, of course, but the chances are slim.
Legion's in an interesting spot where in spite of not being the strongest, they're very popular. All these years later and they're still consistently played more than a lot of other Killers. If so many people are playing them even though they're leaning towards the weaker side, that's a good indicator that a lot of people like the way they work as is (even if they'd appreciate some buffs).
We're at a point now where we have 27 Killers in the game. If one of those 27 Killers isn't for you, that's totally okay, there's still 26 others to choose from. But we're not exactly looking to radically change a Killer that a lot of people like just to make it appealing to folks who aren't a fan. To use the example you gave, changing their ability to allow them to disguise may make them more fun to you, but it would destroy a lot of people's favourite Killer.
A full on rework is something we'd save for extreme circumstances, where either the power is either very unpopular or creates a major gameplay issue (old Legion, for instance).
Mind if I refer you to this? https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/318063/regarding-the-hits-needed-with-frenzy

Here's a serious survivor perk that I think people will enjoy.
Nimble Legwork: Practicing the art of freerunning has taught you all about being able to perform amazing acts from a standing position. Fast vault through a window regardless of the velocity you have when rush vaulting. Once you have completed a rushed vault and converted it into a fast vault, this perk goes on cooldown for 20 seconds.

@brokedownpalace said:
Soo.. we're no longer getting upset by not 3-4king, now it's a problem if the survivors even complete gens?
Nononono. It's that they make games short and it at least makes me feel that waiting a long time in a queue isn't worth it or us low tier killers aren't able to get much traction going in the time it takes them to get gens done.

American Psycho, I think Evil Dead counts, too.

Trap killers. I can never see them no matter how close I am. Even if I crouch to be careful, I'll still step in one. They are the bane of my existence...

I think you misunderstood me, using blood favor over spirit fury enduring, to save a perk slot, it can be cleansed, so its to help early game pressure.
And yeah, I forgot Iri button gave map wide tracking
Then maybe... Maybe...

Spirit fury & enduring is a good combo, but doesn't leave to much room for tracking or slow down, do you that Hex:Blood Favor would be good, especially with the reduced cool down thats about to happen?
It's supposed to be more focused on making up for his lackluster chase. Already pretty good at tracking especially since you have iri button to tell you where everyone is at one time. I feel that Blood Favor would be counterproductive considering the whole idea is to basically have pallets be useless so having a perk to stop them from pulling it down just... makes the build goofy. Besides, that can be cleansed. Only reason why I suggested noed is because I've had no one thus far cleanse all the totems for me to not be able to get value out of it.
-
If iri button doesn't get changed, that should be good by itself since the cooldown is getting reduced a good bit. For now, that and cold dirt along with enduring, spirit fury, thanat and noed. It's best if you bring a small map. It'll make survivors either winge or be impressed that legion can 4k at 3-4 gens.
-
I feel that it's okay now considering what's to come in the ptb with hemorrhage and the two killers that can ignore these issues. I just hope that Legion has an addon that gives the effect to survivors after hitting one survivor in frenzy.
-
Come on. It's better than the April Fools pranks. You'd be FOOLish to be annoyed at such a trivial thing.

Honestly I personally wouldn’t care if one of my opponents was a bot, provided they otherwise weren’t cheating in their loadout and played kind of like the bots in the mobile game. In fact I’d almost prefer it if the bots put up a decent match since with bots you don’t have to worry about them ragequitting if you down them.
Seriously, how can a group of hackers do a better job at this than the actual devs in making good bots? It's jarring how they say they can't do this.

I play the game to have fun, Not ruin for other people lol. I just had a match with 4 iri 3 survivors, I didn't have to tunnel or camp and I still got 3 of the 4 kills and got a mericless at the end of the game.
So honestly, Idk what the issue is, and thats me being like ash 2, I know not every game is going to be like that Ive been playing the game for 4 years, Ive played killer a bunch just not lately, Ive got the rank1 killer trophy on steam. But for me its all about having fun thats it.
Alright then. I see your point and I'll respect it. Hope that you can also respect that I want to punish survivors for making dumb plays or to play catch up when I can't really defend gens as Legion.

I have no problems with noed either, i personally don't have a problem with ANY of the killer perks, the thing that I have problems with is the face camping and the tunneling at 5 gens just because they can. Its not fun to play against at all. when I play killer (low mmr) I don't tunnel or camp and if I don't get any kills so be it, But im not gonna sink to the level that I hate just to be like ya I won, I won't do it. It needs fixed
You basically gave away how much you don't play killer if you're still at low mmr. I tunnel and camp if the opportunity arises whenever if they make stupid plays. (They keep trying to bumrush hooks and they don't bother to bring borrowed or take hits.) I'll do it at all costs once it gets down to the wire.
-
Slinger. He's been gutted harder than Freddy.

I just hope that they either are able to not have their power get eaten just from getting an m1 hit or that it can be used when the gauge is partially full. Maybe not both but at least one or the other...

Unless they change it hitting a survivor that already has dw will take you out of your power. Hitting a survivor that has bt will give them dw
Even as legion, you need to be patient with who you go for. If you just hit the survivor unhooked, they should be able to be walked through with ease. You just need to be reeeeeeally precise.

Not if you prefer to play with mainly the chainsaw and it's just the same sample again and again and again. Atleast give him a variety of screams so it feels slightly fresh every time.
Also in my mind they just added it mainly as a "dodge now please" audio cue for survivor.
I can agree there. It does need more kinds of roars.
-
@burt0r said:
They can do what they want with Billy but, until the take off the repetitive roar and the high pitched screeching chainsaw after a few seconds of sprinting, i will only play him if necessary for dailies or challenges.
So mind boggling annoying that #########.
I thought the roar added to him. Having his speed be fueled by unbridled rage when he uses his chainsaw. It makes him terrifying imo.

with the backrooms not so much.
You just need to keep the wallpapers and whatnot. There's occasional variety in the backrooms. Besides, the entity can do whatever it wants to it.

I just finished writing our patch notes on this, what timing!
Sloppy Butcher is being changed to "Increases the rate at which healing progression is lost by 15/20/25%". Note that it's a % of a %, so instead of losing 7% per second, you'll lose 8.05/8.4/8.75% per second with these numbers.
As for the "Z" Block Add-on, it no longer causes survivors to bleed when healthy but still applies the new Hemorrhage as per normal.
As usual, these are the current values we're aiming for on the PTB, subject to change, etc.
Are the patch notes out?
-
@Mandy said:
I think we do pass that information on somewhat - with the survivor portraits showing that there's players needing assistance. How would you suggest communicating that in another way for example if you feel it's not clear as it is?
Interesting idea here, in an attempt to force the killer to hook you if you're being slugged but also to let survivors know you need help, gain the ability to scream every 30 seconds.
-
No problem. We all know that humanity sucks. Shouldn't let it influence the concept.
-
@Mandy said:
I'm very excited to see everyone's thoughts on them, once they've had a chance to play them.
I just hope we don't get our power reduced for just an m1 attack. That's kinda dumb, right?

@Rogue11 said:
Yea they never followed up on fixing the animations. They just ripped out the movement transitions (I actually liked those) and left us with the weird looking idle and injured running that were heavily complained about.
Turning 180 degrees sometimes causes the survivor to snap turn with no animation. It's hard to describe but you'll notice it if you play survivor for a few matches.
Still can't look up or down while crouched or running.
You and me both. Those transitions were seggsy.

It isn't just one. Flip Flop and Power struggle for survivor. Iron Maiden and BBQ for killer. Provides me an exit strategy and for killer, they can't hide.

They are going to get weaker as the game progresses, as you kill someone, it's going to get harder to chain 5 hits because of fewer survivors.
It kind of made me wish that it went down by one with each survivor that dies, keeping their lethality while not making it busted.
