Got bored, heres a technician rework

You are confident in your ability to repair machinery, even without checking your progress.

Whilst working on a generator, 33.3/66.7/100% of repair progress is hidden, making the generator look as if it hasn't progressed.

If a survivor without technician touches the generator, or a killer kicks it, it's true progress is revealed.

Progress is not hidden from aura reading or perks triggering.

  • I don't like it, mainly for the fact that the killer's only way to determine progress is to kick it, meaning you either waste regression perks on hardly touched gens, or don't use them on a secretly 99ed gen.

Killers would also have to walk up to every single gen to see if it was kickable even at 0 progress when most checks are done from a distance. It would be an insanely huge advantage for a perk which may or may not even be in a game.

What if the sound was still there but it would visually look unkicked so you'd have to take a closer look?

  • Obfuscating the game state is pretty big, but the idea is pretty creative. Especially if it's just passive and permanently active. Like how dumb would it be if there was perk made it so the survivor icons always show up as healthy, never made inquired noises for other survivors to hear, disabled the hook blob and aura until you were point blank next to the hook they happened to be on. It would be an absolute nightmare.

  • This would just be used by every survivor hacker to hide their instant generator completion hacks from the killer...

Plus it would cause chaos for solo queues who wouldn't know how much a generator is progressed and can cause them to focus on the wrong generator thinking a nearly complete one hasn't been touched.

It only helps hackers and screws solo queue survivors even more then they already are.

    So lets not do this.
