Slippery Meat is meant to help you escape a Bear Trap and a Hook by yourself. Making the Perk give you more movement ability when speared by The Deathslinger would take away this Perk's essence and make the Perk very situational and mostly not usable (not that it is very useful in its current state).
-
A Pig Rework would be nice, but I think that Bubba, Clown and Legion will be reworked first, I feel like they need it a bit more.

What should I do then? If I hook someone, in a certain situation, I dont want them to get unhooked!
It's technically true, but you want to apply map pressure to Survivors for them not to repair Gens. The best way of doing it isn't camping, it's hitting, downing, and hooking other Survivors. Go patrol Gens looking for other Survivors and chase them down.
This will apply much more pressure to the Survivors and will increase your chances of winning significantly.
Camping the Hook gives Survivor a bunch of time to repair Gens and escape.
-
2 minutes is in fact virtually the entire duration of sacrifice process on the Hook. If you wait at the Hook for 1-2 minutes, then you're definitely camping. Constantly coming back to the Hook is proxy-camping.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with camping, it's a valid strategy and playstyle, you play the game the way you want to. However, that isn't to be encouraged either. Camping isn't any fun for the Survivor being camped and for the other Survivors, so expect them to get mad/salty post-game.
-
My best advice to you would be to report this issue at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/optimization so that the Devs can be made aware of it and fix it as soon as possible.
-
Bubba, Nurse, Clown, and Myers maybe?
Hag had one of the best sets of perks prior to the Ruin nerf, but it's still not bad today.
-
For me personally, matchmaking has been as bad as it normally is. I doubt there are any tests running, I'm still being more or less matched up with players at similar Ranks.
The Devs said they are working on a new MMR System, and I don't think it's ready for testing yet, they would have told us if this were to be the case.
-
Getting consistent 3k's and 4k's is very difficult not because Spirit is weak, but because the Gens go by very quickly. Here's my advice:
- Use your Phase Walk right when you spawn on the Map to have that extra movement speed and be able to patrol more Gens.
- Pay attention to sounds such as grass moving, Survivors' footsteps and grunts of pain. Keep in mind those are directional and you can discern where the sound originated from if you hear them carefully.
- Fake using your Phase Walk is frequently a very effective strategy.
- Learn what Survivors path like.

I don't think you receive points for survivors that DC. I remember that at some point you received those points, but for a long period of time i stopped getting those points. Might be a bug tho.
Idk, I still receive them most of the time. The wiki is kept up-to-date, the values written there should be the current values.
-
It's gonna get nerfed some day. My only advise is to write down your suggestions regarding this nerf at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/suggestions. Maybe the Devs will see them and consider adding them to the game.
-
Saying Killer or Survivor players are "hypocrites" is a massive generalization. There are hypocrites on both sides the same way as there are nice people on both sides.
-
I suggest you report this bug at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs to make the Devs aware of its existence.
-
There is nothing specifically wrong with camping, however, it is frustrating to get camped as a Survivor, and it kinda ruins the match for the Survivor you are camping and the other Survivors to a lesser extent.
It is a completely valid strategy, but expect Survivors to get salty most of the time. You play the game the way you want, so if you wanna camp, go for it, even though I don't encourage doing it.
-
Stalking while peeking around a corner is naturally quicker than stalking while standing or crouching. To be exact, while peeking, the Stalk rate is doubled.
Stalk rate Add-ons don't have as big of an impact as peeking around a corner does.

There was no supposing anything. I could tell from my first and only chase he was Rank 1. Lots of experience against Deathslingers
Was there any confirmation? Also, that falls under the "DC because I'm losing" category. Going against a skilled killer doesn't equal an instant loss. In fact, going against skilled Killers is how you improve in this game.

It was legit a Rank 1 Deathslinger I checked
Doesn't mean you can't win against them. Also, how would you know he's a Rank 1 during the match, you can only see it afterwards. Sorry, I deem it completely wrong to DC against Killers you suppose are Rank 1s just because they're P3.
-
- Corrupt Intervention is certainly not the most OP in Dead by Daylight, you can simply go to another Gen and start repairing it.
- Just run Self-Care instead of Inner Strength if this happens all the time? Also, how are the other Survivors supposed to know you have Inner Strength?
- Being P3 doesn't mean much, it just means that you leveled up the character, the player probably saved BPs. You can still win against them.

Yah makes no sense most items you bring into a game as killer last around 2 - 3 mins obviously you could push that by being conservative but on the other hand killers add-ons will have an effect the whole game not for just one gen like a toolbox for a survivor or one heal with meds.
Agreed.

Wiki... It's made by fans. And I don't really remember official confirmation. What do you think, someone among devs can confirm it now, if we mention them here?
Yeah, the Wiki is made primarily by Community members, but they try to make it as accurate as possible.
We can try to mention Peanits here.
@Peanits, are the lore pieces of the Hallowed Blight event entries from Benedict Baker's Journal?

It would be nice if they could say if they were going to implement it so many people like me arent stuck in such an uncertain situation. Im sure they're well aware of the matter, just some communication would be nice. Oh well, they have better things than to focus on this one thing. Im sure theyre working hard.
Agreed, it would be really nice if they gave us an ETA. However, I don't think they can determine when cross-progression (and cross-play for the matter) will be implemented yet.
Same, I'm pretty sure they're trying their best to implement it as fast as possible.

Say what?
Alchemist and 2018 notes author is literally the same person. And this person is not the Vigo. And it's not a Benedict either.
Check this:
2018:
22 October - Wounded
I'm hiding in a dense strip of forest. I'm desperate to erase the distressful images engraved in my mind. Last night, a
disfigured man barged into the laboratory with a gruesome, mechanical mouthand shred the walls into splinters. I barely escaped with my life—and wounded my arm in the process. I have no options left; these monsters find me no matter where I go. All I have is a journal filled with obscure promises of escape. I will return to the laboratory.24 October - Experiment III
awoke to a terrible cry booming from the cellar and a violent bout of nausea. Through the vile ordeal, I started to recollect what had happened. Tainted with the foul serum, my wound had swollen with lymph, at which point
my assailant returned. Most of our fight was a blur, but I can recall red tears trickling down his gruesome cheeks as I clawed at his face. And some moment later when I kicked him, sending him crashing into a brick wall. The power I felt then… there are no words for it. I now know that there is truth to Vigo's methods. Another cry.My assailant, now chained in the cellar, must be getting restless. This is just the beginning.Archives:
Memory 1747
He has flashes of The Doctor. His screams. His agony. Turning the tables on him. Experimenting on him like he had done with so many others. Where? Not here. Somewhere else. Another world. All of these… these… survivors… marooned from other… worlds... How does he know this? He doesn't remember… He remembers the experiments. What was he trying to understand? The nectar? The serum? The right dose? The right dose… to use without hurting himself. Too late.I already read through the notes, Benedict Baker's Journal entries contain the Hallowed Blight's lore. Each day, different entry of his Journal would be released.
Check out the Wiki Article for the Hallowed Blight: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/The_Hallowed_Blight

It's confirmed that the Devs are working on cross-play between Console and PC, with that could come cross-progression. I think they talked about it once, saying they are working on it, but I'm not sure.
However, this is a suggestion that is brought up quite often, so I'm sure the Devs know the Community wants it.

TBH I just don't understand why survivors are losing them now it literally punishes you almost for escaping! Why not just use a white ward, and die and keep everything? I just don't think they thought it through enough.
Yeah, I don't quite understand this change too, I think they wanted to make this aspect of losing your Add-ons after a Trial ends even throughout all roles. This isn't quite as fitting with Survivor as it is with Killer.
-
There are loads of Characters with good-looking skins. Why not level Zarina, Claudette and Meg up simultaneously?
-
Yeah, there are some pretty OP Add-ons for Killer that are pretty game-changing and mostly not fun to play against, so Killers losing Add-ons kinda makes sense.
-
Unfortunately we don't know anything about Tome III yet. The Devs didn't say anything about Tome II prior to its release as well. The PTB for the Mid-Chapter Update should be up in late April at the most.

######### are you saying?
Firstly, we don't have proof what Benedict Baker is an Alchemist.
Secondly, it's actually pretty clear, that notes from 2018 event belong to Alchemist. And Alchemist found Vigo's journal and then became obsessed with serum.
Alchemist was able to beat Trapper cause he was bitten by some rodent, injected with serum before.
Benedict is not the Alchemist, he is the one whose diary entries were the lore pieces we were presented with in the 2018 Hallowed Blight Event belong to.
The Alchemist should be Vigo, this is implied by the 2019 Withered Blight event, even though this isn't confirmed.

Yeah, chocolate pizza isn't that famous, but I definitely think it's worth trying. I personally like it a lot.

A double BP week or 2 wherein Players who play as the Plague are given 2x BP rewards for killing survivors, and Survivors are given 2x BP for escaping/surviving against her?
Just linking it to the whole Covid-19 situation, and the fact that a lot of players are being forcibly quarantined... It might be fun to play Virus Vs. Humans as a 2x BP event so that we can all laugh at our otherwise sad situation.
Of course I have a Terrible sense of humor, but Maybe if everyone who bought the game (on a discount during the event, which also includes the "Demise of the Faithful" DLC for obvious reasons) could make light of a bad IRL situation by picking sides in a fun event we can all play together, we could all earn some points, and have a laugh about it.
IDK... Just a thought... Tear into me as much as you need to.
It is an interesting idea, but encouraging every killer player to play as the Plague with a BP bonus exclusive to her would raise up that issue of "I always go against the same killer" more than ever.
I think a normal Double BP Event and a Discount + Free Week would be nice.

Thats why i said toggle on and off, and when i said force i meant if you have it on it would naturally force you to play differently
I don't think it would be worth it to add a new feature for that considering very few people would actually turn it on. Most players like running their meta perks and won't give up on them. The Archive Challenges already encourage players to run different builds after all.
-
It could be interesting, but this game already has various problems correlating to its RNG nature. I think they could encourage you to use different perks and all, but forcing you to do it wouldn't be that well-received, especially since such a feature would affect players who don't have a lot of perks (mostly newer players) quite negatively.
-
I think Sprint Burst also fits in.
-
It's an interesting combination I must say, but idk, I never tried it. Maybe on the crust?
-
The scene you're talking about stems from the 2018 Hallowed Blight Event, in which Benedict Baker was the one involved. He was going through the Alchemist's (Vigo's) Diary trying to find explanations. Vigo injected the Trapper with the Serum, which caused The Trapper to lose consciousness. Then, Vigo tied him down to further experiment on him. Benedict ended up finding Vigo's laboratory and experimenting on the Trapper himself.
We don't quite know what Killers and Survivors do outside of the Trials other than sitting at the Campfire. Maybe Vigo could catch The Trapper alone and inject him with the Putrid Serum?

I've had this game a while and I play alot of killer I will admit im not the best but I used to play fairly as Myers and have tuff but fun games when i got matched up with people my skill level but recently ive been getting ranked up against red Ranks SWF who are super Toxic Gen Rushing Looping and all that stuff and it's made it so unfun because after the matches they would give me crap. So I was tired of it as i said im good but not red rank so getting matched up against red ranks drove me Insane. So I thought How do i counter this well stoop to their level. So I started maining Doctor Running NoEd and camping because it works its honestly one of the best counters against SWF After that i realised just how toxic the community is and its a shame cause since matchmaking is broken i just have to be Toxic and sadly it works I know i dont help the situation at all but this feels like the only way to play when im skill capped at rank 12 and get put against rank 1s and because of my strats im rank 8
You play the game the way you want to. If you feel like using certain strats and running certain Perks will help you win and have more fun, go for it.
-
These perks are definitely interesting since you can do something more than just looping and holding M1.
-
My most unpopular opinion is probably that the Devs should completely stop with the new skins and new content for a while and focus on what is already here.
-
Two words: Gen speed.

people are confined to their homes because of a pandemic . and BHVR still handing out DC bans? disgusting.
So quarantined players should be allowed to ruin the match for other quarantined players? The DC penalty is there to prevent people who like to DC from ruining other players' experiences. I frankly can't grasp how someone would think DCing is "fun" for them or for other players.
-
I think you still lose your Add-ons, you'd have to equip Ace in the Hole to keep them.

Quentin and Freddy need some cosmetics, all other licensed characters received some already.

That would be dependent on rank, platform and area of play. MYC is purely distance based, but a Hag can hover at about 43m, proc MYC, then move forward a bit and teleport in her base kit. Add any teleport distance add-on and now you don't even have to worry about moving back into range.
Borrowed Time, however is purely based on Terror Radius, meaning that anybody with Undetectable or a shorter Terror radius can simply ignore the BT effect.
Hag doesn't have any way to get Undetectable. If she is outside a 32 meter radius of the Hook, then you should be able to save the hooked Survivor before she catches up. If she's within 24 meters of the Hook (her TR), then BT will come into play.
I'm not considering Add-ons for the sole purpose that it's unlikely that every Hag out there use teleport distance Add-ons, I'm mostly analyzing vanilla gameplay in the Add-on sense.

99.9% of Hags are too scared to do anything but proxy-camp with traps.
Those who do place traps effectively are still a nightmare and unfun to verse because the trap goes off, my camera is immediately locked on, and I have about half a second before I get hit. Her power is boring BY DESIGN and only counterable by an item that few people bring.
Many people bring Flashlights to the game from my experience playing Killer. That her power is boring, yes it is, but Make your Choice doesn't make any sense if you proxy-camp, it probably won't activate. This means you could be able to get a BT save.
-
While I do agree that playing against a camping killer is one of the most frustrating things in Dead by Daylight, it should be pointed out that you are generalizing a bit. Not every Hag plays like this. The play style also depends on the Rank your match was played at.
about the perks
- Ruin is not a big deal anymore, it barely does anything when the Killer camps, especially since Hex Totems get cleansed maximally 1 minute after the match started at the most.
- Make your Choice does not work if the Hag is camping, she has to be 32 meters away from the Hook. Considering this, you should either be able to crouch over her Traps and rescue the hooked Survivor or get a Borrowed Time save. BT is an excellent Perk when it comes to combatting camping.
about the gens
- Genrush is more of a thing now than it ever was since Ruin got nerfed. Now, Survivors don't need to waste time finding a Hex Totem, they can just do Gens whenever they aren't being chased, which is essentially what "Genrush" means.
- Doing Gens is pretty boring and this should be acknowledged.
- Toolboxes are now meant to be used strategically, like BNP. However, they have been nerfed quite a bit.
- Flashlights and Keys are very, very good items still, so Survivor items are by no means "trash".
-
It doesn't work. If a Survivor is affected by the Oblivious status effect, it counts as if they aren't in your Terror Radius. As such, the Survivor's location will not be revealed to the Legion.
The same applies to terror-radius-dependent Perks.
-
Stranger Things probably. I also like Nightmare on Elm Street since I like the franchise and it was a bit of a meme DLC back then, mainly because of Freddy's old power and Quentin's face.
-
Dead by Daylight Mobile isn't available in all countries yet. I believe mostly residents of Scandinavian countries and people with a VPN hosted in those places get to play it. Maybe that's the problem?
I also recommend you report this issue at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues. There, you'll get the support from people at BHVR.
