A lot of free weekends, a lot of people not buying new dlcs. Don't look at %.
It requires you to use certain strategy to get it so no wonder many people don't bother.
Yeah, maybe, but this hasn't been the case for any other achievement to this date.
-
It is certainly frustrating to click a wrong button and purchase a Character you didn't want, but you need to consider that it might not be that easy to refund Iridescent Shards from a practical point of view. However, since it's not a paid currency, there is no argument to say it's anti-consumer from a juridical point of view (considering the laws enforced by the Federal Trade Commission of the US).
I personally think the Devs are trying to find a way to compensate for it as they are aware of such cases and do care for the players who go through this issue.

Quickdraw is actually quite easy. Just take 3 totems and M&A as deathslinger and go after totems. Few games and you're done.
Idk, if you take a look at the Achievement Stats at Steam, 0% of all DBD players have the achievement and it's been out for more than a month. That's why I decided to bring it up.

I think it's just me then, I had serious lag problems since the last patch was released.

For successful attacks, 3.2 seconds, for missed attacks 2 seconds as said above.
-
If I'm not mistaken, you have to edit your packs to do that. The only things you're really "allowed" to edit in the game files are your icons (if you want custom icons).
For this reason, I don't encourage you to do it, there is a possibility you'll get banned for it.

This still doesn't explain my question about the wording, which in my opinion clearly states that it should grant multiple stacks. I think the wording is misleading, if not wrong
Agreed, it's definitely misleading, but via testing, you can conclude that the perk owner doesn't count towards the perks and multiple PTs don't stack.

But it always used to be grey with 2 survivors on a gen 😕
Because the game used to round up the values and on the PTB, this is no longer the case.

@ClickyClicky said:
Off topic a bit but why is the prove thyself bar red now with 2 survivors on a gen?
The reason why that is has not been mentioned in this thread yet, all explanations mentioned hitherto are false, so please disregard them.
The correct answer can be found on the Wiki.
To everyone else: the wiki has been updated again and lists Prove Thyself's numbers in a nice table with additional explanations below that table on how the Perk actually works. Please read them carefully as that should answer all questions here and clear up this complete mess of a confusion due to many here apparently not understanding how the perk actually works.
Here's a link to the article: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Prove_Thyself#Trivia.

Is this a suggestion for devs or already implemented? There is no noise cool down, it triggers for every time they cause an action that is considered loud. IF it is the case that there should be a cooldown then this is a bug but I doubt they would have that implemented just because in theory, after 3 vaults for example now the survivor is in theory silent vaulting. Also I am hearing these actions across the map, I'm not talking about the sound of them hitting wood if they jump a window. The ones that trigger with the large visual cue, the generics that are all the same for a gen being blown, rushing into a locker, or from the distraction perk. In theory, yes, I could go to one survivor and attempt to stop them, but I can only chase ONE survivor at a time. When I would leave one, then that survivor left behind would begin triggering the noise notifications so it was constant. So my options are play with no sound, try to continue playing but now deafened by the noise, or disconnect(which I am NOT suggesting anyone does). If this isn't griefing / trolling, I'm not really sure what the devs consider for that in game report option. There's more you can report than exploits and working with the killer.
I know what you're talking about, might be a bug or my PC is just bad, but for me, when Survivors constantly vault a Window or a Pallet with the purpose of creating as many LNN as they can, I hear the notification 3 times and then there is a 5 second cool-down before I start hearing them again. While it is annoying to constantly get hit by these notifications, there are ways to deal with it, hence why it's not bannable, and I'm not endorsing this behavior, but unfortunately it works like that.
Continuously vaulting a Pallet/Window, hopping into a Locker is not bannable. And yes, there is more you can report than abusing exploits and working with the Killer such as hacking, and it's extremely rare for someone to get banned for something other than the above.
Also, in-game reports rarely result in a punishment. The best way to report someone (if they've committed a bannable offense) is by sending Dead by Daylight a Support Ticket, providing evidence that the person you're reporting actually did something wrong. Feel free to report them, but I doubt they'll get punished at all.
There's an informative clip of the Devs saying what's bannable and what's not at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eehSShmVJSo.
Also, there's a forum post listing all possible bannable offenses that can be committed at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system#latest.
-
First of all, after the Survivor vaults a Pallet multiple times in a row, the Loud Noise Notifications should come to a cool-down. Also, you don't hear them if you're outside of a specific radius of where the notification originated from. You can also go chase them and force them to stop, even though this mightn't be optimal and is very annoying.
No, it's not reportable since it isn't considered a bannable offense like working with the Killer or abusing exploits.
-
Unfortunately, on the Forums, there is no real way to introduce yourself. As for joining in on discussions, just jump in, there's no need to fear being mistaken for a troll, trust me, I was also a bit skeptical when I first joined the Forum. Also, alt accounts are against the Forum rules, so it's technically impossible to be mistaken for one.
If you wanna interact privately with individual posters, you'd have to contact them via other platforms as it is no longer possible to send private messages on here. I could help you with that depending on the people you're talking about as I do know some of the more active users of the Forums.

Better yet! Make it like an office floor with stairs and a broken elevator. The boring kind of cubicle office setting with breakable walls and the like. If they could work something like that in that would be greeaat.
Agreed. Maybe this could be the next Map. Only time can tell...

I don't see the issue here. It's more like a present to all DBD players that we're getting the most OP Perk alone in the Shrine for one day. I already bought it. Hope they don't change the Shrine till next week.
For real though, they should bring the old Freddy back for today, that would be the best April fools prank.
-
Agreed, this inadmissible. It's gonna break the game that they released literally the most OP Perk in the entire game alone in the Shrine, everyone is gonna buy it.
-
Yeah. Today, way less controversial topics are being discussed on the Forums, which is very good. But the new font doesn't work for Mac users apparently, idk, it isn't showing for me and a friend who are both on a Mac. That's sad.

Pretty much the only joke is matchmaking, today's Shrine reveals the hidden truth...

but yeah pretty sad that it's changed
OS stands for operational system, in this case Windows. Since the forums have gotten changed a lot over the last week, maybe some update caused this issues, I don't know.

Yeah and the Server doing absolutly nothing besides queue times :/
yeah, sadly. I have faith the Servers will get fixed sometime.
-
Dedicated Servers were added for a bunch of other reasons, including cross-play between platforms (not out yet) , ping, matchmaking and ranking systems, lag issues, queue times and hitboxes for the matter.
The Devs are looking forward to addressing hitboxes, and the introduction of Dedicated Servers was a big step for doing so.
-
Back then, there used to be common and ultra rare perks.
The patterns used to be: Brown - Yellow - Green
Yellow - Green - Purple
and Green - Purple - Pink.
The rarity patterns exist because rarer perks should cost more BPs than more common ones.
-
The Devs did make an entire livestream dedicated to the current state of hitboxes and their plans on fixing them, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8SwqJJKlaY.
I don't think we have an ETA yet.

If you're on Windows, you can use the Snipping Tool. I know it's also possible on a Mac, but I'm not sure how it works. Alternately, you can use the Print Screen (or PrtSc) button on the keyboard, which will copy an image of your screen to the clipboard.
It's cmd + shift + 5 on Mac.

I assume you're on Google Chrome. I'm on Safari so idk exactly what the issue is. Could you share a screenshot with us? That would make solving this problem a lot easier.
-
That's what it looks like for me, I'm on a laptop too:
What browser are you on? Maybe it has something to do with the browser.
-
The QoL change to Exhaustion was good, Wraith's, Hag's and Trapper's Rework were good changes, too.
I think the Ruin Nerf was not necessarily horrible, but done at the wrong time, which caused it to be very bad to the Killer gameplay.
I'm also not a fan of the lighting changes done to Maps, they lost their horror game essence when all Maps were made brighter. I personally would like to see all Maps with their old lighting again.

I've usually been rank 10-12 as killer, but for the past 2 months I've left my rank 1 survivor alone and ranked my killer up to rank 5. At the moment I'm debating whether or not I want to sweat for the rank 1 on killer. And yes survivors can dodge the Entity Blocker with nasty set-ups (most nasty ones imo are ones with killer shack between two jungle gyms, ouch) but personally, I just leave the chase if I see survivors going near these set-ups (unless I want to get rid of the pallets early on), as I know it's going to take too much of my time. To get bloodlust already takes a considerable chunk of time, and that's just one tier. What I do is target the weak survivors who drop pallets instantly (love when they waste all the jungle gym pallets) and take them out quickly, and then worry about the two strong ones, as their primary defenses are taken out. Against really optimal survivors, I just slug to slow the game down. It's just that with my personal experience as survivor, when I notice a killer has bloodlust, gens start popping and they keep going for me, instead of pressuring the remaining gens and weak survivors. and I eventually get downed, hooked, saved, chased for another minute or two, and tunneled again. Not saying tunneling is toxic or anything of the sort, but it is admittedly annoying from time to time, and bloodlust seems to encourage it, at least with the killers I've gone up against.
Agreed, but most of the time all Survivors are optimal (at Rank 1, putting matchmaking aside), in which case you just have to slug, camp and tunnel to win, which is sad. Even then, the Gens will most likely get popped before you can down all 4 Survivors.
The killer mostly can't afford to leave all Survivors when they're in OP setups, the Gens go by very quickly and Killers apply zero map pressure to the Survivors when they leave them.

But bloodlust isn't necessary to catch someone. Windows get blocked, pallets can be broken, and moonwalking and double backs exist (mind games). There's nothing preventing killers from getting hooks when there's sufficient counterplay to survivors' defenses. Killers are also faster than survivors, so running in a straight line will get survivors hooked instantly.
Nothing personal, but have you ever played Killer at Red Ranks? It's not that simple. Rank 1 Survivors know how to effectively loop tiles interchangeably, thus evading the Entity Blocker. Mindgaming them is also very hard if you use standard mindgames (moonwalking for instance). Also, they delay a Pallet Drop by as long as they can, wasting a lot of time before the Pallet can be broken by the Killer.
And there is indeed one factor preventing Killers from getting enough Hooks: time. Time is on the Killer's shoulders every match, getting them 12 Hooks before all Gens get popped is the challenge.
-
Bloodlust exists to make sure the Killer can't be looped forever and be infinited. Back in 2016, when the Entity Blocker and Bloodlust didn't exist and Killers vaulted Windows painfully slowly, almost every Map used to have an infinite that could be abused by Survivors.
-
I don't have the cosmetics, this is the best I could do:
-
Skins don't matter in my opinion. I don't wanna kill one Survivor over another just because they have a different skin.
-
My ping seems to have gotten better since the release of Dedicated Servers, but the hitboxes are definitely worse most of the time.
Dedicated Servers also prevent you from getting that roll-back when the Killer has a bad connection and partially prevent Killers from lagswitching.

I'm not an Xbox player but a friend of mine had a similar problem on PC. He reinstalled the game and it fixed the issue. Maybe it works for you.
However, the best I can do is advise you to report the issue at https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues. There, you'll get help from people at BHVR who probably know what to do.
-
The Forums have gotten changed quite a lot over the last few days, but I don't quite know what you're talking about, is it the Ask the Community page? I can see who started the discussion, the amount of views and replies and who replied last. I don't think you can change the Forums' layout via user settings.

Technician reduces the hearing distance for everyone.
And if you run Spring Clamp, the Killer will indeed not be able to hear you repair the Gen for as long as you're repairing it with the Toolbox.

thank you for a quick answer! could you tell me if their are any other killers that can break them down? also are ther any differences to these walls than normal wall? maybe you could tell me somehow whereabouts one would be on map? roughly how many breakable walls are there?
really appreciate any answers : )
All Killers can break them down, sorry for the bad wording on my last comment, I meant that the Hillbilly, Leatherface and Oni can break them quickly with their Powers just like they do with Pallets. Perks that affect your pallet-breaking speed will also affect your wall-breaking speed.
They do look different than normal walls, the planks that constitute them have these color variations just like Pallets.
On the new Map, the majority of the Breakable Walls spawns in the Saloon. There is one in the Killer Shack as well. My rough estimate as to how many BW there are on the new Map is about 6 or 7.
