  • When they introduced Doctor's reverse skill checks, my 1st thought was this should be a base mechanic, I wouldn't be opposed to varied skill checks.

  • Just to add a little more data

I recently started collecting stats for my personal benefit since I doubt we will ever see them offered in game.

I have recorded 14 survivor games so far.

My info: Solo, Red Rank, PS4, US Eastern, Play time is between 8pm-2am est.

Wait time is usually 10+ minutes

The killer rank for those 14 games:

    1- Rank 14

    4-Rank 13

    1-Rank 11

    2-Rank 10

    1- Rank 5

    2-Rank 3

    3- Rank 2

  • I felt like I saw another post about this recently. I haven't had a chance to play her since the last update (before the hotfix) Hope they didn't give her more bugs.

  • End of the semester is wrapping up for me, so I think I'm at 4 or 5 at this point.

If I ran noed and haunting ground, how many totems? 2? 3? Or4 ?

I don't understand how it works.

Alone haunting ground is two hex totems, but with ruin its just one.

With Ruin and Haunted Ground you should see 3 lit totems if both Hex are still up. Once Haunted Ground is cleansed you will only see 1 totem for ruin. If they cleanse your ruin first there should still be 2 lit totems for Haunted Ground.

For Noed and Haunted Ground: At the start of the match you will only see two lit totems, if the gens are completed with Haunted Ground Still up you will then see 3 lit totems. If they break your haunted ground before the gens are completed you will see no lit totems until the final gen is done. If there are any dull totems left at that time Noed will light up one of the dull totems that is left. You will not know before that last gen is done which totem Noed will spawn on.

  • For me it would be a bug if it didn't do that, I feel it does this every time I boot up the game since I bought the game 2 years ago.

  • Loved those movies when I was a kid, probably not mainstream enough unfortunately.

I've been playing Nurse a lot lately and I haven't encountered any bugs to my knowledge. What bugs does she have?

Consider yourself lucky, I don't think I've played a single match in the last month where I didn't have at least 1 bug, 3-4 is usually the standard per match for me.

past 7 mins trying to queue up as survivor...

less than 15 seconds to queue up as a killer....

I hear you. I played after peak hours last night and it was 15+ min solo queue wait times Eastern US around midnight to two am on PS4. Usually it is 7-10 mins between 8pm-12am solo.

Killer queues are always under 1 min for me.

  • Mine did that last month, restarting resolved the issue. The month before it reset me all the way back to rank 10 though.

  • As a controller player on console I will be happy when the mid chapter patch goes live. Very excited for this on both sides.

I don't know how ya'll play Nurse with a controller. The analog sensitivity is so slow even maxed out. It's like trying to turn a tank.

PS4 Baby Nurse Main here. It does suck but what is worse is the lower frames you blink right behind/right on top of someone and you can't tell if they spun left or right so you pick a direction, spin, swing and hope you guessed right sometimes. But yeah if you over blink and try to spin and swing they can gain a lot of distance on you by holding w because of how slow you turn.

You can't do all the cool blinks pc players are able to pull off either.

@Kate_Main_01 Thanks for the appreciation. Some of my favorite games are with extended chases vs a good survivor, sometimes I will intentionally throw the game chasing someone because I want to learn a new structure or because they are good at juking. Doesn't hurt that EGC Nurse can be very deadly with a survivor on hook.

  • Video isn't showing up for me.

  • We all potato sometimes.

  • I've seen a few here and there

The Killer's attack hitbox is a simple cylinder in front of him, the devs shown this a little bit back in a stream. Who ever enters that cylinder first and who is closest to the Killer (in case of multiple targets) triggers/takes the hit.

In the OP's video the hooked Survivor's hitbox was still active and was more or less touching his left screen. It was closer and even physically blocking the Killer from reaching that Dwight. Like it or not, everything here is working as intended.

What the OP should be mad about is not playing around the hook like that Dwight did. The Dwight was allowed to take control and force the hooked Survivor between him and the Killer. Dwight took advantage of OP's mistake. That mistake was not holding S and pulling Dwight towards him. When OP let got of S or even held W to go forward it allowed Dwight to move to the side to such an amount to use the hook and dying Survivor as a blocker. If OP didn't allow this, he should have landed the hit without problem.

I don't see a hitbox problem here. I see user error.

Why should a dead players hit box still be in play though, if he was still alive fair enough? That was a very hard 90 degree turn for the "aim dressing"

Wasnt asking whether you mind or not im asking if the noise can make you to screw a chase?

That wasn't clear in your original post. I've never had an issue with the noise making me screw up a chase, just my own ineptitude or not realizing there is a tree right behind a wall and I needed to hold my blink another half a 2nd longer.

  • Nope, doesn't bother me when playing nurse.

    How often do you escape?

I don't know anybody that plays this game, so for over two years now I've been playing strictly solo survivor. The majority of my games these days end in 3-4K and very often with a mori. I know most people on here say survivors are overpowered but they must be referring to SWF groups because it's a rare thing to find a group of solo players that know what they're doing. I love this game in many ways but it's almost unplayable now. This is on PS4 in red ranks by the way.

Way more than I should. My unpopular opinion is that I want survivor to be the difficult role, escapes should be rare, it is the reason I like solo queue. I still duo queue from time to time as well with a friend of mine, but solo queue has made me a better survivor for sure and is more difficult.

May just be my time and region and the fact matchmaking is messed up, but at red rank survivor I rarely see red or purple rank killers and usually get paired with green rank killers or lower, most of my deaths at this point occur from inefficient teammates or myself being willing to hook trade during egc so that another survivor can escape, and I'm an average survivor at best. I still make potato plays from time to time and have bad/frustrating nights where I'm tunneled/mori'd off of 1st hook the majority of games I play, so I understand the frustration but I would say my average is still around 50/50 escape and what I consider a win condition (3 out) is slightly higher.

I play on PS4 as well depending on your region and usual playtime we could group up sometime.

  • It may simply be that in their experience it works for them. I can't keep track of the number of times I've seen a bubba secure a 3-4k off of a facecamp while playing solo queue. Instead of doing gens and escaping the randoms try to be the hero.

    *Sigh

I made this post literally asking why they decided to add a passive to a killer AND NOT ANYONE ELSE, and people are going wild, avoiding the true meaning of this forum....

Freddy's rework gave him the passive of survivors falling asleep, so she isn't the only one still and she was created back in a time when doctor still had his passive, so it doesn't seem out of place in the context of comparing her to other killers.

  • I'm not a fan of the term "gen rush" but do survivors prioritize gens all the time on PS4, no. Does it happen sometimes on PS4 absolutely.

When I play survivor, I am one of those "toxic gen rushers" I prioritize gens over almost everything else either solo queue or duo queue with my buddy. I've been in games with like minded survivors and I've been in games with "crouch masters"

When I play killer, I'm all about "juggling" or "split pressure" whatever term you want to use. Obviously, Non mobility killers can struggle with this play style though.

  • Would love to see a Victorian era all black, mourning dress with long flowing veil for Nurse.

oh no, people want to play a videogame with their friends

what a terrible thing to exist in such a game

/s if it’s not obvious enough

Exactly, people want to play with their friends, Duo Killer queue when?

  • I missed about 5 hooks last night total, but I also played way too much dbd last night (15-ish killer games). Way more sabo than I've personally seen in the past but no full on sabo squads yet. There is one sabo squad I play against every now and then on PS4 that I'm not looking forward to running into.

Also, had a 3 man slug right by a sabo'd hook because the team was playing dumb sure they broke my hook but two of the 3 slugs were already on death hook.

  • The reverse psychology mind game via PS4 messages.

Bloodlodge back in 2017, before all of the hatch changes etc... (thus at least 2 gens had to be done for the hatch to spawn for last survivor)

Playing old school Sharphand Joe. Only 1 gen done and 1 survivor remaining. Zero progress being done on gens. I receive a message from the survivor saying something to the effect of I can hide all night if you don't let me escape. He then proceeds to message me "Getting Warmer/Getting Colder" messages as I walk around the map. His final message was "Ice Cold" just as I was opening the locker he was hiding in.

  • I've only played one game against him and the player was hitting some very nice shots around long wall loops etc. He ended up getting the 4k. Playing as him I've had very mixed results, but the controller settings currently aren't great and it has been around a year and a half since I've played any kind of first person shooter on console. I did better taking more conservative shots with him, I still have a tendency to shoot over the survivors' heads when quick scoping.

I just understand that learning this type of killer for me is going to take a lot of losses to improve.

  • "We are aware of a problem affecting transactions on PS4 at the moment. The team is currently investigating the cause of the issue."

They are aware of the issue and looking into it. I have the same issue.

  • I don't believe that they said it was coming out with this update. Last thing we were told is they implemented the "skill" tracking previously and were making sure it was working correctly. Unless I missed an additional update we haven't heard any news on the actual expected time of implementation.

  • I had the same issue about a year ago and it was controller related. At first my controller worked fine on other games, and I was only noticing it in DBD esp killer, but after a week or so it started showing up in other games as well.

  • I know it will never happen, but would love to see Halloween costumes for the survivors, I can picture Dwight dressed as a classic vampire with a cape, and his hair slicked back

  • I've had this issue as Nurse after a Blink, which I believe was an already known issue.

Also, I've been watching a friend stream some lately as he is learning to play killer and he has been having this issue where he goes for an M1 and it doesn't come out or comes out very delayed with multiple killers.

  • BPS are cursed items for me. No matter what side I play them on. As a survivor tunneled off hook for all 3 hooks or mori'd off of 1st hook. As killer, urban evading ninjas that push out gens and vanish out of the exit gates.

  • They have mentioned increasing console sensitivity but no time frame of when it will happen.

  • To play: Nurse (#babyconsolenurse), Ghostface, Sharphand Joe

    Design/Lore: Huntress, Spirit, Oni

  • Check out Fungoose. He plays both sides has over 8,000 hours in game and does explanations of why he does what he does during most of his games.

  • Last night was same old, same old for me. Instant Killer queues and 10+ survivor queues. Haven't played today.

  • PS4 Baby Nurse Main

  • I use to watch all the big names, but mainly just watch fungoose at this point.

  • The map scout scoring event will clue you in. I ran killer belonging addon because it counts hooks, totems etc... I literally had the challenge done in about 20-25 secs, before running into a Wraith with Franklin's and never seeing my map again that match.

  • Can confirm, no glass bead needed. Did it last night, green map and tracking killer belongings add on.

  • Got it first game with a green map, with killer tracking add on, didn't stop at 4 markings for me.

    You mind game with bubba?

This man mind games with Bubba alright, I played him this past weekend. Very active with Bubba no camping required.

    On topic:

I'm biased because I pretty much bought DbD because of Freddy back in 2017. It was after the initial nerf. I enjoyed playing as Freddy back then though there were several frustrating components to his gameplay, so I enjoyed when he finally got the rework. I don't play him as often now, but I do still enjoy it, granted I still play fake pallets for the laughs, despite thinking the snares are stronger.

I think he is in a good place power wise, but BT needs to adjusted so it works against him. Granted OoO is still really strong against him in loops, making it impossible for him to mindgame jungle gyms.

I can understand why survivors would think it is boring playing against him, I can still loop him like other m1 killers so I don't personally mind it because I enjoy chases.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

If it is a wall smasher killer the devs must be working their asses off to rework all the maps so that it fits with his power, because currently i see many maps were he just wouldn't work

I like the concept, even if it turned out to be just vaults/windows, but as mentioned above, due to the major amount of map rework that would have to take place I'm very skeptical of this being the next killer. Would be happy to be proved wrong.

  • I know they can read chat logs on PC, not sure of consequences etc.

  • Looks like xbox chat, correct me if i'm wrong. They can't do anything about that, it would need to be reported to Microsoft, not sure what that entails as I'm on PS4 and usually laugh at the salt I receive.

  • @Aneurysm said:

Semi-related, has anyone ever played dbd with a steering wheel?

    Pretty sure OhTofu has.

  • on PS4 I've personally seen more Corrupt Intervention than before the ruin nerf, but that is small sample size so it is difficult to know what has taken ruin's place as the top picked perk until they release statistics again.

  • As of Monday night it was still in my selections, not sure if anything has changed since then though.

  • Double blinking as Nurse right behind a survivor with their head and back taking up 3/4 of my screen and the attack still whiffing while they just run forward.

Solo Queue Survivor looping a killer for 1+ minutes while the 3 low ranks I’m grouped up with urban evade and don’t work on gens.

And as a bonus, this was more sad/hilarious, seeing a low rank survivor “gen tapping” the new ruin last night in a match XD
