I play killer as well just stand still or back up 360s are useless
so you have never missed a swing on a survivor that 360's before?
-
I've been addicted to it for a while now myself, and have seen a number of survivors use it in my killer games as well.
-
100% for survivor, 75% for killer but I mainly play nurse and huntress and like to have some semblance of aiming hatchets and blinks, trying to make minor corrections at 100% is too much for me.
-
Whatever map I get, I usually get it 2-3 times in a row with no map offerings, I'm glad there were questions about it in the last survey.
-
Welcome to DBD, it can be a very fun and addicting experience. Though the experience can leave a lot to be desired at times.
Just wanted to point out while you can't learn to loop in the survivor tutorial, you can practice running while looking behind you and getting comfortable with 360's also if you haven't done the tutorials yet you do get bloodpoints for completing them.
Good luck out in the fog!

Ok, so bear with me here. The part where you were talking about the nursery rhyme for the terror radius, are you saying that’s his normal terror radius? Like no heartbeat? I wouldn’t know because I’ve never played against him.
When survivors are asleep they no longer hear the heartbeat only the nursery rhyme which is non directional like Huntress humming.

Which makes no sense if you really would have understood what i wrote.
Sure it make sense. What you wrote wasn't on the level of Hegel or Heidegger.
Your statement boils down to if someone has a bias towards something they shouldn't have a say in the conversation about that topic.
- The topic is camping.
- The individual is defending camping.
- Defending camping shows a bias.
- The individual shouldn't talk about camping, because they have a bias towards the subject.
That same line of reasoning could be applied in the opposite direction.
- The topic is camping
- The individual is opposed to camping.
- Being opposed to camping shows a bias.
- The individual shouldn't talk about camping, because they have a bias towards the subject.
Replace the topic with anything else, DS, Borrowed Time, etc... Would you be willing to say the same thing about DS?
"Defending DS in general shows you shoudln't talk about issues you are hardcore biased with."

You’re arguing with one of the most survivor biased people in this forum. Don’t expect too much.
Thanks, I know I've been on the forum since 2018, I just don't post often.

I did, I just applied your rhetoric in the opposite direction.

When did the PTB end? (I'm a console pleb) The norm has become 3 weeks after the PTB ends.

I see. So far my experience with leveling up Laurie and using it has been
1. Oni got bullied by me and I had no perks but OoO
2. Myers literally rage tunneled me and killed me first lol
It's kind of fun and I dont have any SWF on ps4 so im just soloing atm. I havent leveled it up either yet.
I'm on PS4 solo queue as well, and I always run it when I want to practice running the killer, because they will usually focus you out of the game.

I thought they already fixed this on the last mid chapter, they fixed it by making the killers lean in farther inside the locker to grab the survivor so that they can't get blinded anymore?
ds locker tech is more annoying tbh
I got a locker flashlight save in a random solo queue game this past weekend so it seems to still be in the game.
-
Most I've ever seen is 4 in my own games, tough rng for the survivors.
-
I had the same thought earlier today, lol
copy/paste from other post:
Huntress: Muscle Fatigue for holding a hatchet up too long, you won't be able to hold a hatchet again for x seconds(This would reduce the hook/basement stairs camping.) Possibly a reduction on when you can M1 after a hatchet throw to do away with the up close hatchet/M1 combo. Maybe a limit on her hatchet range. Who knows which direction they will go. Obviously iri head and probably fatigue addons will be changed.
(I don't personally want to see any of this, just rework iri head, but I'm guessing full addon pass and basekit will get some rework as well, like the other og killers)

I use to joke they should just re-skin the game as a Scooby Doo game, as that is how the occasional SWAT SWF feels like. A bumbling costumed villain being outsmarted by a group of meddling do-gooders.
Honestly I'd rather see them approach the license holder about a Scooby Doo game with a simialr game loop.
Not that, that would ever happen, also they would be competing against themselves.
But they would have a large number of villains to pull from and with all the crossover/guest appearance on Scooby Doo throughout the years there would be plenty of other characters they could get for survivors.

Interesting, this usually prevents them from moving through or vaulting the window when I do this. I've done it as recent as 2 nights ago when working on killer crowns.

But didn't I need to earn one, one match and the other another match? I got two in one go, is that right?
Yes, just one crown needed to unlock both.
-
As of last night 4 shards away from 70.
-
Sounds unlucky. I had two of my p3 survivors primed for the event, so that I only had 1 item left to purchase in the bloodweb, got a cake and a medkit for each in the 1st event bloodweb.
-
You can't. Once a year Sony does yearly wrap up which will display the hours of your most played game (provided through a website and/or email), but it is a feature that is lacking sadly and I have no idea why it isn't a standard feature.
-
I was recently told a I was a trash killer for using Shadowborn on Huntress. That only "bad" killers use that perk.
-
Both sides
Previously 50/50 but with the longer queue times for survivor during my available play times, I've been playing more killer lately and trying to learn PH, though the recent sound bugs may sway me back to survivor for a while.

I have been doing pretty well with him. Some of my favorite killer streamers have also been slaying with him, and are calling him overpowered. There's tons of spots at loops where it's hard to dodge the attack or the survivor is forced to vault; which is almost a guaranteed hit if you predict it.
Which Killer Steamers are calling him OP?

Yes want to P3 him, I'm capped on BP, I have several of the tome challenges ready to claim, and have shards if I need to dip into the shrine, unfortunately my dailies I had saved glitched out and just vanished on me, so I'm going to try and get those done again this weekend to have ready.

Thanks for the reply. Hesitant about saving up any more at this point.

Not a jump scare per se but probably 1st game vs scratched mirror Myers wasn't even an indoor map, but I had no idea about scratched mirror at the time. It was one of the MacMillan maps, I was a complete potato running at the edge of the map, he was in the distance heading my way and no matter how I tried to juke him using los blockers, he knew where I was like an unstoppable evil force and it was only a matter of time before the inevitable.
-
1st thing I do is pressure middle gens and engage killer in chase if found.
If I'm having a bad survivor night, I may stealth when the killer approaches then jump back on the gen when safe.
-
Being on a regular PS4, I'm not optimistic about it at all. Just like how there use to be talks of getting the console to 60 frames and then those talks turned into general optimization for all platforms, with no real mention about specific optimization to reach that goal.
Hopefully I'm proved wrong.
Seeing as how I mainly play Nurse and Huntress a frame rate worse than we have now sounds gross.

Yesterday, 7 games straight got to play against rank 18 to 20 killers... I'm a rank 1 survivor... Either we need more players or it's matchmaking... again... Or both..?
Yuck, sorry to hear that. I had the opposite last night. I played about 10 games last night and had 5 games with Rank 1 killers, but that is literally more Rank 1 killers than I have had in the past two months. But usually I'm versing Rank 14 - 10 killers.
(Over my last 79 red rank solo queue survivor games I've had 9 games with rank 1 killers - 5 of which were from last night. 50% of those games were rank 14-10 killers)
-
How do they change the way a character plays? I must have missed that part.
-
I would assume no news until the 26th, if the killer is a classic licences and they want to save it for the anniversary stream, it would probably be difficult to give a teaser that didn't reveal who or what it was.
-
10+ Minutes on PS4 at Red Rank in Eastern US Region starting around 8pm until 2am. I play nightly around that time. Quickest queue for me recently was 7 minutes.
Red Rank Killer at the same time is instant.

I play solo survivor so swf que times don't affect me but i have to wait 2-3 mins to a lobby even this way. I was killer main but it was too frustrating so i switched but it is frustrating too that i have to wait a bunch of time for a lobby where i probably will be matched with potatoes, tunneled, moried and face only Spirit, Doctor, Freddy and sometimes Huntress.
2-3 minutes sounds nice. I'm still currently at 10+ minutes for solo queues when I play.

What are some dumb things you've seen survivors do? Either as a fellow survivor or as killer?
Just had a game where a Feng decided to teabag me at the exit gates. Which is usually only a bad idea if the killer is Deathslinger. But I was Pig. Only thing is, she had an active RBT on her head. Yeah, thanks for the third kill Feng. Glad you thought you'd teabag me and get out instead of trying to take off your party hat. She was in red Ranks too.
I had this same thing happen to me last weekend two sacrificed survivors. Full health Claudette with an active bear trap upon completion of final gen and a Kate with no RBT. I was chasing the Kate and the Claudette decides to open the gate instead of getting off the RBT. I down the Kate near the exit and the Claudette teabags and attempts to leave. I let the Kate crawl out because I was laughing so much.
One of my personal finest potato moments was working on a gen in killer shack, and spine chill lights up and I keep waiting for a heartbeat and it never shows up, so I run out to the door in the back of killer shack because it is in the corner of the map and surly the killer won't be coming from that direction, a second later I'm exposed and a ghostface is jumping out of the bushes from behind me.

So, you’re really trying to come for me regarding my reading comprehension yet can’t read yourself? A 4k escape game, aka, all survivors escaped. K buddy lmaoo
What does the "k" stand for in 4k? That is the point they are making.

Also, have to keep in mind most people's experiences are going to be different based on platform, region, and time of day. So that an individual's experience cannot be a measure for others experience. Some regions are apparently more competitive than others, and I can even experience that based on time of day in my region.
If I jump on a play killer on a Saturday afternoon on PS4 I'm usually going against pretty weak teams, possibly younger players that got the game for free when it was a game of the month for PSN+. Now if I jump on and play killer during prime time, say 8pm I start getting several more full Rank 1 survivor teams and will run into a few of the SWF's I know based on usernames and conversations. If I based my experience during the afternoon hours quick generators would be a rare occurrence, based on night hours quick generators would be closer to the norm.

Yeah, of course you'd say that. It's bs I'm not. I was putting it out there because most of what I've said in this thread looks like I'm survivor sided to most people but I wanted to clarify I do play both sides before people pull out the argument 'He'S a SuRvIvOr MaIn He'S IrReLeVaNt'.
You can play both sides and still have a bias for one side, playing both sides doesn't automatically make you unbiased.
-
PS4 Nurse and Huntress Main here.
-
Killer for sure, I only play solo queue survivor at this point, so some of the unhook challenges come down to chance.
-
Unpopular Opinions:
As a survivor, I don't mind being tunneled, I'm usually ok at chases, I can't do a full 5 gen run but I can hold a killer for a couple of gens unless I'm out positioned, what I'm not a fan of is having to wait 7 -10 minutes to get into my next game.
As a killer, I try to get as many of my 12 hooks as I can, but once it's down to 2 gens left sacrifices have to be made. Also, if I hook you and then chase and hook a different survivor you are fair game if I happen to run into you again.
-
I had this happen with a Trapper once on PS4. Just Latency issues, but I was already injured and another player at full health was beside me working on a gen, we both took damage at the same time while the trapper was visibly halfway across the map, he didn't suddenly teleport or anything. In fact the other survivor had time to heal me from downed to injured.
Also have seen it from the other end,was watching a friend stream killer. 1 survior on hook, he find a dwight hits him, the dwight goes running towards the wall friend chases him, hits him multiple times but never falls down, all of a sudden the dwight disappears, there is an unhook notification and then dwight was downed at the hook after making the hook save.
-
I wouldn't consider that taking the game hostage, though I don't know why they wouldn't split pressure on the last 3 gens.
-
Pretty sure op means the survivors do not attempt to work on gens until you DC, but perhaps they can clarify.
-
Yep, I have played matches were I thought I heard the faint hum of the huntress and it turns out to be anyone but her.
-
It happens, failed bully squads, being left on the hook while the final two escape with the key they found because their buddy died and hatch spawned, hook trading for one of them at EGC and the squad just sits at the exit gate teabagging and then leaves. At this point I play 100% solo, I've gotten use to it, I personally prefer the challenge of solo survivor and it makes some plays feel more rewarding but a full night of that can be extremely frustrating.
