I'm not being rude at all. You need to get better at the game, that's not an insult. You get better by playing more, we all did this.
Keep playing and sorry if my post was offensive.
I agree with your statement. Just came off a bit strange. There are still some areas with this problem though. Would be nice if they were fixed. Also I think it would be nice if the entity blocked pallets like it does for windows but maybe instead of 3 vaults the numbers a little higher. Just my thoughts

@Artick said:
Hey, here's your fix: break the damn pallet and learn how to loop windows(yeah, as killer too). If you mindlessly follow the survivor thru the loop you will waste too much time. Most windows can't be fast vaulted from one side, so force the survivor to loop from the bad side.
So basically learn to play before complaining about stuff.
No need to be rude man, I never said anything to offend you. It’s also not that simple against more experienced players

I dont wanna say “git gud” but....
These 5 gen chases become less and less frequent as your skill and knowledge increases. I used to get looped so bad but that hasnt happened in well over a year
I think it's ok to say "get gud" In this situation. I'm not great as killer, however I'm not horrible

Can you maybe describe the loop your having a hard time on? Often times loops that APPEAR broken and unmindgameable have an approach that you might not have realized.
Hmm. they probably do. At the time of my comment I forgot about the entity blocking windows afer ~3 vaults. half of my point is invalid. sorry about that.

It's fine as it is. Why have I seen a lot of forums about nerfing survivors?
Could easily say the same about killers... shouldn't it be challenging for survivors? As someone who plays both sides I can say that I would rather have survivor nerfs.

A survivor can abuse the same window only 3 times during a chase. Then the entity blocks that vault for that particular survivor.
Survivor vaulting back and forth at the same pallet? Mind game it if you can to trick them into hitting range. If it can’t be mind gamed, then break the pallet. If you get blinded you get blinded. At least that pallet is gone and can no longer be used by anyone. Use Lightborn if you can if you find this a real problem.
I kinda knew about the window thing but didn’t think about it at the time I made the comment. I apologize about that. I normally play Oni so most of the time I use his Demon Strike to break the pallet. Still inconvenient, but not as much.

Hey, maybe check this video out by Scott Jund, it's a helpful showcase of some of the generic tiles in the game that may help you in chases, also - some loops are designed in a way where you have to break the pallet in order to continue that chase, don't be afraid to break some pallets, Secondly, if you're in chase with a survivor and they vault the same window it should be blocked by the entity, if it isn't I would suggest recording a video of that window so the devs can look into it.

”Stubborn” I’m stubborn because I have more experience on loops.....
Let’s add a cool down on my vaults, please explain to me what I can do at a LT tile?
Well I’m not too familiar with dbd terms, so forgive me if I’m wrong... I assume that means the little brick maze section things. You can vault 3 times there. Listen, I’m just giving ideas. The things people do with the pallets are both unrealistic and boring for everyone but the survivor performing the action. No offense to you and your vaulting though. We all have different definitions of right and wrong.

@Malkhrim said:
Survivors already can't vault the same window more than 3 times. The window gets blocked after that... or at least it's supposed too. Sometimes, it gets bugged.
Pallet vaulting can already be solved by breaking the pallet. It's part of the game's strategy: The survivor tries to force the killer to break the pallet to gain distance, while the killer tries to stop the loop and hit the survivor, making the chase shorter. Breaking the pallet sooner is the choice to make when you think you will take a long time to catch the survivor on this loop. If you don't think you will catch them at all, don't waste your time, just break it.
God damnit dude, you’re right about the window thing. I knew I was missing something. I completely forgot about it. I knew about it, but it just left my brain. I apologize for the inconvenience. I’m still not a fan of the pallet thing, but I will respectfully take this L.

It's called shift tech you are exactly right but you are lying if you are saying every game and shift tech takes skill and really hard to perform without fixated.
Every once in a while I’ll have a game without someone doing it, but not very often. I personally never tried doing it cause I know how it feels to be on the other side so I don’t really know how hard it really is. But whatever side you’re on, thanks for the polite correction. It is appreciated

"Stubborn survivor"? Dude, their objective is to do generators and not get hooked. No, if you're getting looped to the point where you have to follow them until bloodlust 3 kicks in to get a hit in, you need to work on your mechanics. If they're looping around a downed pallet, break it. So what if you get blinded while doing so? That means less time for them running away while you're breaking it.
And what about window vaulting? Should I break the window too? I’m not being disrespectful. This is just something that most killer mains agree needs to be fixed. Survivor mains disagree for obvious reason. Theres not much us killer mains can do

I understood what you meant when I answered with "...no?"
It's a terrible idea to give the survivors a cool down on their only real defense.
I see. It may not be the best idea, but it’s definitely not fair to leave this issue alone. I get it’s a wise survivor defense, but it honestly just makes the game boring for killers. It makes me want to hook camp them when I finally get them just to show them how it feels to play against a stubborn player. (I mean no offense to anyone reading this that uses this maneuver)
Now that I think about it, it isn’t anywhere near their only defense. There are plenty of things survivors can do to avoid losing a chase. As survivor, I escape half the chases without vaulting more than 3 times. It’s just not necessary and is more a thing survivors do because they don’t know what they’re doing or just wanna ruin another’s dbd experience. Point being: if that’s the only thing you do to escape a chase then I’m sorry, but you should consider developing new tactics

Baitpost? How long have you been playing killer? Most abusable infinites have been removed. If what you said was true, the downfall of dbd would've been years ago when real infinites and more abusable loops actually existed. Since then, the playerbase has only increased.
Yes. Sorry, haven’t played in a bit so my terms are a bit off and stuff. I was referring to when survivors endlessly vault to avoid the killer, making it unrealistic and boring to all. Sorry about the confusion
-
@SavouryRain said:
...no?
I got the name of it wrong. My bad. But the described issue is still a big thing that needs fixing

They don't mean infinite loops, but rather that a survivor can just vault after vault after vault with no cooldown.
Yes, that’s it. Thank you! Is there a name for that?
-
@Todgeweiht said:
Uh, infinites are not a thing anymore and there are barely any god loops left.
Maybe I got the name of it wrong, but nevertheless there is an issue with what I described. Is there something I’m missing?

Point? Traps and gen teleport, just because of that survivors must run around whole map like bunch of morons wasting 2/3 of whole match time.
“Traps and gen teleport” I assume you mean as Freddy you can teleport? I’ve never played against him and don’t completely understand his character just yet.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
It is a visual hinder added to the game when Freddy had auras, now its basically just a nerf to killers visuals with no upside except snares? meh, you could scrap the dreamworld entirely and I wouldnt care, I was Freddy main until rework and do not find his new playstyle enjoyable. I used to really enjoy playing Freddy like a legion, hit one and drop chase to go for another, keep them all injured and in auras,... once that playstryle was gone, I dropped him.
The dreamworld is not needed, is mostly a visual punishment, and actually causes headaches, I used to play Fred for 10+ hours on stream and realized it gives yuou headaches
Now that Freddy no longer has auras, the dreamworld is just left over mechanic they tried to salvage with dream snares yawn -
Fact is survivors should see dreamworld when hit, but Freddy shouldnt be hindered visually any longer.
but but "muh lore" they cry
I personally didn’t play him before the rework, nor did I play against him, but I’ve seen videos of his original version and I can clearly see why a lot of Freddy mains didn’t like the rework. I think it helps that I didn’t play as his original version so I don’t really know what I missed.

When survivors are asleep they no longer hear the heartbeat only the nursery rhyme which is non directional like Huntress humming.
Oh, I see. I like that. Thank you!

The idea is that oblivious is supposed to provide that oppression/intimidation but they added the nursery rhyme as a terror radius for him that makes it kinda pointless. If they had the nursery rhyme be random across the map instead of a terror radius that would add to the intimidation factor since Freddy is supposed to have power in the dream world but that would potentially make him a little too OP.
Ok, so bear with me here. The part where you were talking about the nursery rhyme for the terror radius, are you saying that’s his normal terror radius? Like no heartbeat? I wouldn’t know because I’ve never played against him.

@Todgeweiht said:
Snares and dream pallets only work when survivors are asleep.
Freddy recharges his teleport faster the more survivors are asleep.
There are also add-ons that slow down game game progress when survivors are asleep.
Ah, I see. I feel like it would be a lot better if they added/replaced one of those abilities with one where every 7 seconds a survivor is sleeping, their position is revealed for 3 seconds or something like that. I feel like the way it is right now doesn’t really intimidate survivors the way it should.

No I like a challange so not too hard at all, just boring to counter and somehow find him annoying. And the shooting is too loud I mean I have headphones and it's pretty high volume so I can detect everything, but have to turn it down when playing against him.
I haven’t played against him yet, but I’ve played as him. Idk why but every game there’s at least 1 person who disconnects. I don’t do any of the hook camping bs, but I can understand why some wouldn’t like the grappler. All personal opinion I guess.

@NateyBoi said:
I actually think he is fun to play against! I have deathslinger and all survivors have been salty to me for killing them tho...
it depends on the survivor.
Yeah, even though there are very few people who play Deathslinger a majority of them are probably the ones who camp with his perk that makes him undetectable when standing still. I think survivors are salty towards Deathslingers because of that. Even if the one they played against didn’t do anything wrong. Shame.

@DBD78 said:
I think he is pretty boring to go against, and to play he is perhaps the most boring one. This event I really tried to like him when using Deathslinger but no he's not doing it for me.
When you say you think he’s boring to go against, do you mean boring as in it’s too hard to avoid him, hence making the game boring? Or do you just think he’s a boring killer?
