They tried to fix a good amount of bugs this mid chapter update and people yelled at Behavior for not having enough content in the update.
Incorrect. They finally fixed the bugs with nurse, that should have been fixed a long time ago, and also gave us unnecessary nerfs to some perks/add-on and questionable buffs to others while once again ignoring the main balance issues players are complaining about. Other than fixing Nurse, which is the bare minimum they could do since the characters they sell should at the very least be functional, this update gave us nothing worthy of a whole midchapter update.

I'm not sure what this post is attempting to achieve.
Well, the OP doesn't like facecamping so they're attempting to get people on board with calling it racist/sexist/homophobic in hopes the devs will nerf it for them.
-
1st death and only 5k points. I now understand why you think the game is killer sided 😂
-
Undying should never have been nerfed in the first place. The old Ruin was ok but new Ruin is better in many ways.
-
3 tokens and removing the distance gain would probably be ok.

I can't record that many :(
If you live stream them the vods will stay up. Twitch and YouTube are great for that kind of thing.

MD ring is fine now that Spirit's been nerfed. Even more so when you consider that she's rarely played now, and we know the truth about SWF escape rates at higher levels. And remember COH isn't considered game changing enough to warrant a nerf. By that logic MD ring certainly doesn't need one either.

Not you. The people replying.

Some people got their buttons pushed here lol

Not in regard to the argumentation. If you fail to consider anything but the fact that it can be disabled, you're missing a ton of context that relates to how powerful something is.
The alleged counterplay to NOED is part of the problem.
Not quite. NOED can be disabled by regular game play. Survivors are meant to cleans or use totems or risk consequences like Plaything or NOED.
Your example is something that would never happen. Therefore it's not a counter to my argument.
Now, if you wanted to give a more realistic example like: "a killer can disable a survivor's exhaustion perks by hooking them and being more than 32 meters away when unhooked, but killers continue to camp and complain that exhaustion perks are OP and need to be nerfed" then there might be a discussion to be had.

In disregard of any judgement of NOED's power level: That argumentation is very flawed.
If survivors had a perk where, if the killer doesn't run 3 laps around the entire map within the first 3 minutes, all survivors become permanently invulnerable, that perk would be busted and need a crapton of nerfs, even if it can be fully disabled.
That's like comparing apples to some fictitious fruit that would never exist.
-
NOED is fine. Any perk that can be completely prevented from being used certainly doesn't need a nerf.

I am all in for the Ghostface things: Fix the reveal, buff him a bit. Same for the add-ons, there is not a single Spirit player who disagrees with a nerf to MD-Ring or a Blight player who does not admit that Alchemist Ring is busted.
For Boons I would go another direction: Reduce Cycle of Healings area of effect from 24m to 16 or 12m. Buff Exponentials area of effect from 24m to 32m and leave Shadowstep. Why should all boons have the same range for their different effects? A change to their range would make a huge difference in their power and make it easier for Killers to snuff certain Boons while leaving other Boons more hidden.
I would add one thing to the list: Ghostface add-on pass. Right now he only has 1 interesting add-on and that is his iridescent camera add-on. He should have some interesting add-ons to tweak and change his power and not just to buff his stats by X. Also, non meme-add on, literally unplayable.
As a final nitpick: Change the first person moris to third person and give Trapper and Wraith an overhaul. Both of their moris are just no longer competitive and get outdone by every other Killer.
I strongly disagree with a nerf to MD ring. Spirit has been significantly weakened, to the point you rarely see her anymore. If anyone is still having trouble against her they're just a bad survivor, regardless of the add-ons she's using.

Pinhead is very strong.
Gen Slowdown is useless, it’s better to have map pressure perks or utility perks. Not a valid argument in my opinion.
Pinhead is at best low "C" tier.
You mean pressure and utility perks like Hoarder and Franklin's?

Sounds like they forced killers into having to camp to get kills and now they want to take that option away too.

No thanks. It causes too many issues and restricts the design possibilities for maps with multiple floors.

Flashlight saves aren't broken game mechanics.
Just because you lose doesn't mean the other team was using stretch resolution. Most likely he lost because he was using a crap killer against a coordinated SWF group. If those groups are even difficult to face as top tier killers, of course Legion is going to struggle.
Flashlight saves are ok. Flashlight saves when locked into a locker animation and/or outside of the killer's pov are. Abusing a map to allow those save while hiding in an area where the killer has no way to prevent it or apply pressure is also broken.

Oh you mean when people tell others to use "small game" to counter noed and "do bones"? But yes, I do agree that we shouldn't have to use perks to counter other things.
Of course it matters, it was one of the things you mentioned. I'm totally against stretched res, I don't use it and I don't think it should be possible at all. I see it a lot when I spectate random team mates.
When did the devs say flashlight macros are "tactical"? Do you have a source for that?
Totems and NOED aren't broken game mechanics, so your comparison is a bad one.
You basically agree here. It can't be proven if they used it or not from that video. Regardless, it shouldn't exist. Tru3 was probably right though, it's much more likely that they were using it than not.
I'll see if I can find an actual source. I've seen it in a few random threads and in some streams, but I don't have first hand knowledge of it and could be completely wrong. Even still, there's no reason for it to stay in the game when all it is, is a griefing mechanic.

Lightborn exists. You cant get blinded with Lightborn.
You dont know if the survivors are using stretched resolution, you only see the killer POV.
Flashlight macros are annoying, but they do not win you matches.
It's ridiculous to think a perk should be used as a band-aide for a broken game mechanic.
Whether they were using it or not doesn't matter. Some players do, on both sides, and it shouldn't be possible.
You're right here, sort of. They are annoying. The only purpose is to grief killers. But for some reason the devs said call it "tactical". So from their data they must give some sort of advantage. Either that or the devs think griefing killers is fun.

What was the point besides "survivor op pls nerf" thread nº89408098405?
The point is things like getting flashlight blinded when locked into a locker animation shouldn't exist. Getting blinded when the survivor isn't in you FoV shouldn't exist. Stretched res shouldn't exist. Flashlight macros shouldn't be regarded as "tactical". The game shouldn't be able to be broken by 3 or 4 friends playing together.
-
@Marigoria said:
Oh no, a streamer lost one game. Losing one game = game must be survivor sided.
Game is only balanced when I win 100% of my matches.
Also, there's already a thread on this video: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/300938/wow-playing-killer-in-2021-is-so-fun-right#latest

Asking for matchmaking to be fixed =/= asking for an MMR system.
-
@Marigoria said:
How do you know you're high MMR?
You don't. Whenever someone says they're high MMR, they're just making it up. They have no idea what their MMR is or whatbthe MMR of their opponents are.

I really doubt BHVR is gonna nerf your Rin-chan again. They generally don't nerf killers twice, they go hard once and tell them to gtfo.
More than anything you should be grateful they didn't completely nerf her into the ground like the others.
They've already nerfed her hard twice, and said they have more nerfs in reserve.

The Ringu is announced yet it comes in March that's quiet a ways between now and then. So we will definitely be getting another chapter probably before she comes into the game also 2 mid chapter updates as well probably.
I could be wrong though don't take my word for it.
The Artist was Chapter 22. Ringu says it's Chapter 23. It will be the next chapter.

Because Spirit was mostly inspired by ring girl and I assume she’ll have about the same power just like Bubba and Billy.
I always thought she was inspired by Kayako for Ju-On aka The Grudge.
-
I hooked asap. If the other survivors are chill I usually let them finish the gens and escape. If not I play normal.
-
He's wrong though. The question asked if anything was going to be done to improve the game experience for killers. There should have been a list of upcoming changes or at least some canned response about always monitoring the game blah blah blah. But instead he reinforced what everyone feels anyway: we don't care much about the killer role, so either play the role we do care about or don't play at all.
You can even see the look on Not_Queen's face. She wasn't pleased with that answer at all, which leads me to believe that there are members of BHVR that don't agree with the direction and balance of the game, but the people in charge won't listen to them either.
-
Yep. I'm in NA and get matched with people in SA (roughly 1,500 miles or 2400km away) on a regular basis. And that is only for the closest city to their border. It's likely even further way.
-
It looks like the different lighting is casting different shadows which makes her look that way.
-
I was really disappointed to find this event is basically a survivor only event. Not only that, but it makes the actual game harder for killers. Kind of a fail imo.
-
Why are your worrying about winning during an event?
-
I see they found a new use for the retired Moon offerings.
-
Why would the devs add something like Kindred to basekit when survivors have access to it and refuse to use it anyway? The devs probably look at that information and come to the conclusion that the info Kindred gives must not be important or useful.

For the games to be really balanced, you have to block the audio chat when the itch starts, whether PlayStation, Xbox, steam, as soon as the game notices that there is an audio chat, that it can block it, just for the game not for the lobby
In-game voice chat needs to be added, with proximity chat & the option to mute players. The muted players could have an icon above their head or w/e indicating they're talking.
-
There is most certainly a correlation between people that reach high grade level and people with high MMR. And the sooner they hit the higher grades after grade reset, the higher their MMR is likely to be.
-
I would really like to see the additional Legion members on the map somewhat like Nemesis' zombies.

I made a thread a while ago about this and a lot of killers were pissed about me sticking around to give hits so I stopped doing that.
I just leave unless I need to buy time for others.
If the killer is close it's fine. It's when they just want the match to be over and someone is lingering at an exit that gets annoying.
-
Just say you want her nerfed.

I'm gonna need to hire an intern to read and summarize this.

There's an error causing people to lose progress and preventing them from logging in. BHVR is notorious for refusing to restore lost progress and items. At most they give you a handful of blood points.
-
We should have 2 rituals everyday. 1 for survivor and 1 for killer.

Well couldn't the solution be to just scrap the dead hard validation and make it so that your not immune to damage and just keep the distance use. This solution solves the fake hit issue and "fix mistakes" issue.
Yes. DH should be like a quick dodge. This would solve the validation issue and also require more skill on the survivor's side to use properly

Are you upset that face camping especially if your bubba main is finally gonna be put to a stop? I didnt think death slinger needed a nerf because he was fun for me as a survivor and I respected that killer,
spirit is no nerf as no ear bleeding audio queue helps when spine chill was already helping to know she is approaching before audio queue so the dust kick nerf is much needed, people who groan about strider is getting that perk buffed back for iron will count(but bite the bullet so much more better anyways)
Wraith hit box was disgusting and he really needed that hit box nerf. Big maps are getting reduced which helps killers who have pressure issue alot of help. Circle that yall moan about is being nerfed, just watch that 7.0.0 video patch notes. Also why the heck do you or jpa always wanna start fights with me or something, get off my case dude bother someone else.
The 7.0 patch notes were fake.

I don't think so, I assume OP is just responding to the commonly made argument that Kindred should be base kit.
Yeah. It was in the fake/parody 7.0 patch notes and it sparked a few discussions about it. I just wanted to throw my opinion out there incase they actually consider any of those changes.

lol but all those legion buffs and many things killers are getting....yall stridor will counter iron will again lol so yeah face camping buba days need to come to an end.
Sorry but I have to disagree. It's a playstyle that imo is boring but forcing people to play in certain ways takes away from the overall fun of the game.

That's actually a very fair statement. I haven't actually seen any VHS stuff beyond the dev streams, so I'm not entirely sure how it typically plays out.
By the by, is it true there's built-in voice comms? I've seen the ping system but am still a bit confused on that one.
Yes. It has built-invoice comms, hence the massive coordination. The ping system iirc is a way to place markers to show your team where something is.

For VHS, sure, but a really strong argument could be made that the reason DBD is the king of the genre is because the Killer can't be killed themselves.
That's certainly why none of its competition ever really appealed to me- getting bullied by good survivors in DBD is already pretty frustrating, adding actual damage and eventual death onto that seems even worse.
Exactly. The first thing that stood out to me about DbD's gameplay was the fact that survivors couldn't "fight" back. They have to complete their objective to win. And I too think that's why DbD is at the top.
