  • I'd just like to have some notable way of getting more XP in-game. Right now it's just time and first game of the day bonuses. The archives is pretty good imo

  • yeah I'll just run 4 perks all the time just in case I get one specific killer

    true balance achieved

  • I think it would be much more appropriate to add a secondary charge attack to Legion's FF that can take away a survivor's health state. Leave everything else alone and they could be a fun killer to play and face given the right charge time

  • I agree with most of your perk choices, although I'd swap Devour Hope with Corrupt Intervention (since both CI and Ruin are early game slowdown perks that tend to work well) and Nurse's Calling with Whispers (since Plague won't benefit at all from NC and survivors have complete control over the effectiveness of NC, but can do nothing against Whispers)

How well does that work for you? I can never get to use it

It's useful every 2 games out of 5 in my experience. If the killer tunnels a survivor and doesn't apply much pressure, it's kinda a dead perk, but it pays off if the killer injures a lot of people or if you get lots of lucky skill checks. It basically turns into a permanent We'll Make It that ignores slowdown perks at 5 stacks, and it makes healing the go-to strategy as opposed to rushing the gens assuming you're the one healing. The only downside is the regression from your first heal or two, which has only kicked my ass one game out of the last 30 I've played

EDIT: Also, you might want to run bond or empathy with it. I don't think you'll get as much value out of it without one of those (bond is also good for getting yourself healed so I recommend that)

  • Oh, you never get any sort of feedback from those. I'm willing to bet that was either his first offense (which is why you saw him a bit later), or your report hasn't been gotten to yet and he's about to get a pretty big punishment. I know that they used to ban DCers in waves, and they might do the same for people like this. This might be a good question to ask a mod like @MandyTalk though

So, therefore its up to random canadian Devs to implement and go through probably 100s of reports of people saying mean because a person could have emotional attachments to words... What a waste of time and resources that has little to no return on investment. MOST people are emotionally stable enough to handle a few words if they are playing a game where people ARE LITERALLY MURDERED IN FRONT OF YOU WITH RUSTY WEAPONS. So your main line of argument is that a few words are more harmful to you physically and mentally than seeing deranged killers murdering helpless men and women. Your priorities are not right.

I mean, yeah. That's what they should do if they want to entertain the most amount of people possible. I think it's pretty safe to say that more people are negatively impacted by ######### using slurs than people are positively impacted by being said #########.

  • your build is why I run autodidact all the time

Heres what I've learned in my 45 years of socail interaction on this planet. Words only have the power you give them. (Putting aside musical chants which have been proven to affect the brain)

If i took offense every single time someone called me a name, i wouldnt have internet and i wouldnt leave my house. Ever. I learned early to grow a thick skin because i hated to feel bad all the time.

Anonymous people are like children, cruel for no reason. Who cares what they say or think.

No im not excusing it. Just block it out. Yout life will be so much more rewarding.

Some people suffer from some sort of trauma or conditioning that makes it extremely difficult to not react negatively to certain words. It may be easy for some of us to block them out and continue having a good time, but some words, especially slurs, represent harmful ideologies that have caused certain groups of people physical and psychological harm. It would require some intense therapy to take away a word's power over someone that has experienced such trauma over the course of their life

  • They do ban people for using slurs like that in post-game chat. You just need to use the in-game report function, and it'll save the chat log and the player's ID and attach that information to the report. Sounds like you used their website to report it, and I don't think that's ever been the way to report in-game hate speech.

  • I really just want the skill check timing to be consistent. It pisses me off when the needle skips around or stops on a delay; Just please, let me hit my greats

  • Legion's head cosmetic is consistently just their mask, and survivor head cosmetics can change anything about their head (hairstyle, hat, mask, ect...). I don't think we're getting any closer to bunny feng, sorry

  • The main thing that's motivating me is the extremely blue Nea hat near the end of the rift. However, I've also been having a hard time enjoying the game recently. It's mostly because of depression though, so take that as you will.

You could be burned out or "too attached to your builds". Trying out different killers and perks can be very fun and help you find builds that you love playing more than the most optimal or your current favorite builds. Here's some suggestions:

Obsession perks in general (Rancor synergises very well with "don't hit/kill your obsession" perks)

The survivor perks Autodidact, Stake Out, Head On, Plunderer's Instinct, Detective's Hunch, Dance With Me, Diversion, Head On, Fixated, and Inner Strength

The killer perks Stridor, Hex: Devour Hope, Monitor & Abuse, Blood Warden, Surveillance, Make Your Choice, Infectious Fright, I'm All Ears, Thrilling Tremors, and Surge

Fire Up + Brutal Strength combo

Agitation + Mad Grit combo (especially on Hag)

Self Care + Botany Knowledge + Resilience combo

Head On + Quick and Quiet combo

No Mither builds (This was my favorite thing to do for a while)

  • Because their power makes it incredibly easy to injure someone, and it adds more time they have to spend off of generators (to mend). If survivors don't heal themselves, then Legion only gets the mending and detection part of their power, which isn't very strong in most scenarios. However, if survivors do decide to heal themselves, Legion's power shines as they're able to quickly undo the effort the survivors put into healing themselves as well as apply deep wounds.

Basically, healing makes using Legion's ability more cost effective. It's just not efficient to use their power on injured survivors.

  • That sucks. I really wish there were more things like that in the game, and I hope they didn't remove them on purpose and that they patch it back in

  • I just wish there were more of them, but I guess we'll get more over time.

  • I like to run Fire Up, Brutal Strength, BBQ, and a fourth perk (can be STBFL, Thanataphobia, Ruin, whatever else you want). You can also trade BBQ for something else, but I like the bloodpoints.

I'd stay away from perks that give the survivors incentive to avoid healing, such as Sloppy Butcher. Legion benefits from people healing, and more skilled players aren't going to heal against you if it takes 20 seconds to heal one person. NOED also isn't the best because survivors that don't heal won't really be affected by it.

  • The killer ones seem fine (but hard), but Dark Senses and Decisive Light are bullshit. Those are probably gonna cause some people to de-rank on purpose since the killer you're facing has to be completely awful if you want to have any chance at completing those challenges.

EDIT: Also Last Minute Hero. jesus christ

  • Add a special leap attack to Legion that lets them remove a health state. This would take ~2 seconds to charge and would reduce Legion's movement speed during the charge. The charge could be started by holding down the attack button and cancelled by releasing the button.

Just something to make their power more useful in a way I think would be fun

  • Simply because when your perform well against a spirit, it just feels like you lucked out. There isn't enough information on the survivor side of the match-up to learn what the other player is doing and making efforts to counter that. Nurse doesn't have this issue because you can see what she's doing, and if you watch her play-style closely, you can learn how to avoid getting hit much better. You can't really watch spirit. You just know that she is doing something

  • I'd just like it if they buffed the perk Saboteur to let you sabo hooks at 80% speed. The main thing that keeps me away from sabotaging hooks isn't because it's unviable, but because it requires an item that both runs out of charges and is lost upon death. I'd really like the option to use a perk slot to permanently be able to sabotage without it taking 30 whole seconds to sabo 1 hook.

  • I haven't played Hag since that map was released. Is it really that hard to place traps down there?

  • Despite how weak he was, old Freddy was not fun to face. I'd rather not see him come back.

  • I'll probably run it more often actually. I'm not 100% sure how it's being calculated, but it's either going to make for a 12 second or an 8 second self heal (~9 or ~6? with botany). I forget if an action speed increase of 50% makes it take half as long or makes the bar fill up 50% faster.

  • I don't ever dodge a lobby unless I know that one of them in particular is an awful person

  • Leatherface sucks to play as. His power is so sluggish.

Spirit sucks to play against. I have been learning new tactics to help me face her that don't require any specific perk, but I haven't been able to try any of them out since I haven't really been playing.

If I start liking to play against her more, I'd probably have to go Myers. He doesn't suck the fun out of the game though; He's just someone I perform badly against

I hope not. I don't like taking Plunderer just to get a lousy firecracker. I don't want firecrackers competing for items that could actually help me escape - like medkits, toolboxes, keys.

During events I pulled so many firecrackers it was ridiculous - often two or more times in a trial. Putting them on the chest list permanently means a nerf to Plunderer.

Just make it common or uncommon rarity, and you shouldn't be pulling too many with plunderers

Me and a friend intend on making a video showing the comparisons on different skins and how to tell these things, once it is done, I can show you.

That'll be super helpful! Can't wait to see it!

  • I really hope so. There hasn't been a new survivor thing to play with in a while that isn't just a new perk, and firecrackers are too uncommon to use much. Some new items or mechanics would be great

  • They need some way to use their power to help them get a down. Right now they feel too basic.

  • They need some way to use their power to help get a down.

Maybe they could get a charge attack available in Feral Frenzy that lets them leap/lunge forward after a ~2 second charge, taking away 1 health state. You could start the charge by holding down the attack button instead of tapping it. Letting go of the attack button before it's fully charged could instantly reduce the charge bar to zero, but not remove any FF charge.

I think something like that would make Legion less of a laughing stock, while still not being too powerful since the long charge time should give good survivors enough time to find a window or pallet.

  • I like them a little bit, but I'd like exclusives more if there were MORE of them. Stuff like the huntress' hound mask being unobtainable makes them even cooler to have, but since there are only a handful of exclusives, you hardly notice them. Plus, most characters don't have exclusives at all, so you might not ever use the one exclusive you've managed to grab. If there were more (but not an abundance), you'd be able to feel the thrill of using exclusives more without the stress of missing the only one your character might ever get.

  • Probably just Hag. I don't see myself being able to get all 6 cosmetics in one week

  • @Peanits said:

Some of the rewards will stay exclusive, others will be available in the store later on. Exclusive stuff always comes at the cost of leaving out anyone who wasn't there at the time, so we try not to do too much exclusive stuff. You'll get way more value out of earning them through The Rift than you would by buying them individually, though, and that's without even considering that you can make your cells back.

Is there a way we can tell what will be exclusive to that rift? I'd really like to know what I would permanently miss out on if I don't reach a certain point before it's too late

  • Will items on the rift become available for purchase after the rift expires? And if so, will they only be available for auric cells?

Oh how lucky you're that I caught this question before I got off the PTB. Since I was able to see this before I wrapped up my time on the PTB, I actually got someone to help me figure out that exact question you have!

Here's the answer in video form!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag7X0-MplrA&feature=youtu.be

Basically, no. Spine Chill doesn't play by the rules of the undetectable status effect... so Survivors can still see Killers like Wraith when he's cloaked, Pig when she crouches, invisible Freddy, and yes... Tier l Myers.

BUT! I did test if aura reading perks like OoO, Alert, etc work on these Killers... the answer is... NO! THEY DON'T HA HA! So that means Myers, GhostFace, and Pig don't have to worry about OoO users destroying their stealth...

Do you know if the stealth killers can still see the OoO user while stealthed?

  • I just hope that the killer can't see the survivor with OoO while they're undetectable.

  • @OMagic_ManO said:

Here is the deal, the hoodie would be part of the head, a hoodie wouldn't pair well with cosmetics that aren't hoodies, would cause problems and not look right.

They could implement a feature that would make it so you're forced to wear a certain head cosmetic while wearing a specific torso cosmetic. That would fix it

  • @MrDardon said:

It seems like a "Stealth Build" from what I can see. Probably good on Myers and a few others but that's really it. Furtive Chase is kinda pointless anyways, it would make sense on Myers if paired with Judith's Journal.

They're asking about the look of the perks, not the perk build.

I'd really like to know too. Those perks look badass

  • Honestly, all they need to do is make it so you aren't moaning while injured. I would have voted for that if it was in your poll, but I do like this idea I selected. Although, I feel like it would be great as another perk entirely (especially since it would synergize with current No Mither)

  • It's a decent perk as it is, but I wouldn't be opposed to a buff. Just don't go too crazy (like 10 tokens or something)

  • I'd like some stuff like pointing downwards for someone to "stay here"

  • I haven't been playing this game recently because I don't want to wait in queue, wait in a lobby, and then wait for the game to load. It just feels like a waste of time.

At least if I'm playing WoW or something, I'm doing something all the time, and any time I spend doing nothing is my fault for playing poorly.

Here it's just mandatory and boring.

  • It would be cool if you could choose to "upgrade" to the old version if you pressed a button when you first got it. That way both sides could be happy!

  • I use it sometimes. You probably won't spot any blood unless you're looking for it, but it can be very useful if you lost track of an injured survivor for any reason

  • Ghostface and Demogorgon so bad they aren't even on the list

  • I only watched the most recent movies, so I just hope that they look like they do in those. I'm rooting for Ben or Bev

Apparently it's Not going to be like the old hallowed blight

It's going to be like other events where some gens are different and some hooks are different

    Still, I'm fairly excited

Oh, that's really lame. The last blight was really fun
