To clarify Killmaster, stridor doesn't affect the sounds the killer hears. Instead, it increases the volume of the sounds for everyone in the game. That's why you heard yourself
-
You're probably running some program that's preventing the game from launching. I have this game called Lost Saga that won't launch if you have certain things open, like Spotify or Runescape, and this sounds very similar to the issue I have there.

Well if perks aren't an issue than grab Ghostface next month.
You can not buy licensed killers with shards. You have to pay for them.

Any idea on how the plague is? I checked some videos but can't really decide.
Plague's interesting, pretty complicated, and somewhere in the mid-tier. I play her a bit, and I enjoy it. Get her if you want!
Personally, my favorite killers are Hag and Legion. Hag's weird, and to play her well you need to know where to place traps, when to teleport, and when to give up a chase. She's very good, but not everyone likes playing her.
Legion is more straightfoward. Their play style is more focused on bouncing between survivors, keeping them off gens by injuring them. Killer instinct is very powerful, and there are some perks like M&A and STBFL that compliment legion's power. They aren't as good as hag since they have to M1 to down people, but they feel very nimble, and that's fun.

I like your video. You did a very good job at collecting and organizing your ideas together in way that made sense. However, I think that most of your ideas would cause more issues than we currently have now.
If a survivor will have an easier time opening the gates at later stages of the collapse, survivors will just wait around a gate until 30 seconds are left. This would cause 1.5 minutes of idle time where the survivor is just waiting for the easy escape instead of trying to escape. It would be a better idea to just give survivors a 20% opening speed boost during the end game collapse. I'm not sure if that is a *good* idea, but at least it wouldn't extend the game for 90 seconds.

I want square hag traps

Here's a picture of overcharge's skill check, taken in a KYF game on live. Seems normal to me, but I don't have a picture to compare it to.
-
I really wish I could participate in this, but I have a convention to go to the exact same day :(

I really like your post. My biggest issue is that they removed a very interesting part of the killer's power just for it to become an add-on. If it's so broken, why is it still available in the game? Legion would be much more interesting to play if they added the ability to reduce the deep wound timer with frenzy hits back into the game, and maybe allow the killer to see the survivor's deep wound bar while chasing them.
-
I'm a big fan of this idea for no mither. I'm not sure this would be a good idea for vigil though, since it can have such a powerful effect. Maybe something like recovering at 30% speed when running with vigil and leave no mither with 80%? Otherwise, vigil would easily become meta for survivors that are able to loop for a good amount of time.

It's a couple different reasons.
- The wording confused people. Many people think of "75% increased recovery" as "stuns only last 25% of the normal time". This is not the case. Instead of being stun time * (1 - 0.75), it's actually stun time / 1.75. Your stun is only reduced by about 43% when you increase the recovery speed by 75%. With stuns just being half as long, it's much simpler. 2 seconds becomes 1 seconds, bing bang boom, everyone understands.
- The pallet stun durations are actually going to be about 0.15 seconds shorter.
- This way we can re-evaluate stun perks and better balance their stun times. Currently we need to make sure that anything affected by enduring lasts long enough that it doesn't render enduring completely useless. Take a look at DS, for example. It was a 4 seconds stun, where the survivor was locked into the animation for one second. This leaves you with only ~1.28 seconds to run if the killer is using DS. As a result, the stun time was raised to 5 seconds, giving you ~1.85 seconds to run. With that in mind, we could potentially lower it back down to 4 seconds (or even 3 seconds) after this change, making it more consistent whether or not you're using enduring.
It basically allows us better control over balancing stun perks so you're not forced to run enduring just to counter them.
With all this in mind, this change seems fair. Enduring is mostly put on to reduce pallet stun times anyway, the DS recovery was just a bonus in most circumstances.
-
I prefer bond over empathy in most cases. If a survivor gets hit and I don't see them around me, it's safe to assume that the killer is elsewhere. 36 meters is almost always good enough. You probably don't want to run across the map to heal someone anyway, so the infinite range of empathy isn't useful enough to warrant not being able to see the auras of healthy survivors.
-
Why not just play legion normally without any exploits? They go at 110% speed on live and 115% with the upcoming patch, so you're really just setting yourself up for failure. Plus, they will still have feral frenzy, and it's even harder to use since missing an attack has a big penalty. You'll prepare for the patch better if you feral frenzy, don't exploit the chase system, and focus on not missing any attacks.

Saying someone is gay is not bad, its the same as saying a black person is black or a lesbian is lesbian.
O course the people who say that dont mean It in that way but devs cant do anyting if the context is not clearly verbal abuse (which would be calling you something like [bad word] gay, instead of just gay).
There has to be explicit verbal abuse in order to ban someone. This ^ basically.
Like being offended for calling the grass green. If someone calling you gay is offensive to you, then you are believing there is a negative connotation in being gay. You don't like gay people? That's pretty homophobic in itself. Pointing out something isn't offensive, stop getting offended so easily. Snowflakes everywhere.
It's amazing how you're already dismissing this out of hand without even knowing the context. You made up a story and pretended that's the reality.
I'm basing off the context that has been provided. If he offers anything contrary then I will gladly change my stance. However, he has not. So I go off what he has said. There's absolutely nothing wrong with my statement still.
OP is talking about homophobic slurs, not being called gay. It's like if someone's complaining about something calling them the N word, and you're like "So you don't like being called black? Lol triggered snowflake". It's like you're being ignorant on purpose.

You gotta report him in the end game screen.
-
This change will make it even more efficient to heal yourself than have someone else heal you. If they want to do anything like this, they need to either make the penalty much greater, or they need a separate, lesser penalty for healing others. Plus, this change would harm those that aren't running self care since their only way of healing is 25% slower, and they'd be much better off if they just brought the perk so they can heal themselves for the same speed. Solo survivors would need to run self care even more than they do now so you don't have to rely on the slower healing from others. They might not even heal you since they might assume you can do it yourself and don't want to waste time.

I love that little camera wobble. It feels like I'm over-dramatically turning around to kill the good guys

It's just people being #########, purposefully wasting survivors' valuables offerings "for the lolz"

What? You don't want some Nipissing™?

It's honestly not too bad. I gave it a 7 since it can be extreme at times, but the times where I've had slurs and insults thrown my way are few and far between.

They might not be the best, but I've been looking forward to this DLC since its announcement. It'll get me back into DbD for a bit at least
-
Who's your favorite survivor, and why is it Nea?
-
I think he would be a lot more powerful if hitting an injured survivor with DW would give them deep wounds with only 20 seconds on the clock and not stun you. Then you can hit them again to knock them down to 10 seconds. This way, you only have to hit them in frenzy once after your first stun if they decided not to heal.
-
I think that it would be more balanced if the survivor's max HP only if they weren't under the effects of deep wounds at the moment of being hit. I say this because if you tunnel one survivor, it can take up to 4 frenzy hits down them once. You hook them, and then they would only have 60% of their bar left at the most, which is only three frenzy hits. Now you only have to recover from one frenzy stun to down them instead of two. At this point, they're just an M1 killer that vaults like a survivor. To that survivor, they would be almost as effective as the nurse. That's not healthy for the game or fun for the survivors.
However, if that effect was more gradual as I recommended, it would be a better strategy to spread your damage out. Sure, the survivor can just mend and heal, but they also just lost 10% of their bleedout bar. If that happens too many times, then they have to deal with one of the most powerful killers in the game. The counter-play to this would be to keep a distance from the killer so that they don't stab someone, stab someone else, and cause a chain reaction that brings them closer to becoming a beast. This would make legion into a great late game killer, but only if the killer performed well.

What was it about???About the new, famous quote made by M. Cote - "Legion has trouble finishing the business (downing the survivors) and it's fine!" - they literally said he should be weak, because they don't want another Billy/Nurse tier killer.
About their level of gameplay - they wanted to show the possibilities Legion has and how he should be played but... People playing there were R20 players, the killer were missing 5 TIMES IN A ROW WHILE IN FRENZY while he tried to hit the surv, he ended up killing only one survivor by accident, not_Queen literally wrecked him. If that is the level of gameplay of the devs, then I have no doubts why this game is so poorly balanced. In favour of killers and survivors.
That's pretty lame. They should try to get good players like Monto and Tru3 to show off the new killer's capabilities when every party knows what they're doing.
Or they could just choose the devs that have actually played the game for a while to do it...
In case people forget, we actually have those.
Honestly, the only person that's part of the company I've ever seen play well is Queen.

I love this idea! It wouldn't be meta by any means, but even running it by itself could have its uses since you can see everyone's auras while on the hook.
-
High ranks isn't supposed to be easy as it's filled with veterans and players that know how to play at peak performance. A new idea to get perks sounds interesting though.
What if every time you level up that character would get "perk points" that you can spend on specific perks? The amount of points you get per level increases each level, and at level 50 you should be getting enough points for about two perks. Rarity, perk rank, and if it was a teachable or not could change the price to make it more interesting. It could be neat, but it would also cause the problem of killers running NOED all the time in low ranks since they'll have easier access to it.
-
She seems alright. Her power can help get people faster, which is what makes a good killer imo. The only problem I see is that she seems really hard to play, and her power can sometimes screw her over.
-
They aren't buffing sabo to how it was before. All they talked about was making the toolboxes last as long as before, and replacing the efficiency upgrade from saboteur with a small increase in the time it takes to regen a hook. Making sabo somewhat viable and increasing the time it takes to heal indirectly increases the length of the game. That's good.
-
Darn those SJWs!!! They're killing the world!!!!1
But in all seriousness, people complaining about the killer being oversexualized are a special kind of stupid. They shouldn't call themselves feminists because they're complaining about a woman expressing herself freely. Very freely

Honest question, not trying to stir the pot here. When was the last time y'all hit BL3? I can't remember the last time it got all the way to BL3 personally. I always have to break a safe pallet before it can get that high. Even BL2 is pretty rare, and that's only getting slightly decreased, while BL1 (the one that happens pretty often) remains unchanged.Am I in the minority here? I really don't think this is going to have an effect on my killer gameplay at all. Even in a larger loop like the cow tree, I'd be lucky to see BL2 before I either have to break the pallet or hit them.
I think the reason almost no one reaches BL3 is because the chase has to go on for too long, and killers normally know when to not chase. Plus, survivors know that you can get to BL3 and catch up to them really quickly. They try to get rid of it before it reaches that point, and that either results in the killer having to break a pallet or hitting them.
I think that some maps can currently open up windows in such a way that creates a massive loop. Without BL3's current speed, basic killers like wraith might never be able to catch up to them. If they make sure that there aren't any super long window loops, then yeah, the change will be alright, but I'm not sure that this change can go through by itself.

Number 5 sounds nice. A little allowance so that you can get some cheap cell only item every month. You probably wouldn't ever be able to afford everything in the game this way, but it'll give players a nice little thing to look forward to.
I don't think there's anything that the devs will do that will get rid of your urge to buy things. That's the evil nature of microtransactions. The best thing you can do is just... not buy stuff. I know, "thanks I'm cured," but the devs won't get rid of microtransactions, and they'll only keep adding more stuff.
I was in a similar situation as you a few years ago. I spent over $300 on a game called Lost Saga, and I regret spending that much money on one game. Think about all the other things you can buy with the money you're thinking of spending on costumes. You could buy some nice food, physical merch for something you love, or just save it for a big, awesome purchase (like a VR headset or a fancy computer).
Just be careful with your money, and try to keep yourself on a strict budget. That's all you can really do.
