  • I kinda support that since I usually run one slow down perk.

  • Nerf for each addition slowdown perk you have they are less effective

If this was ever implemented I demand the same treatment to survivors stacking 2nd chance perks.

"Oh you have DS and UB and Adren and BT? Your DS lasts for 20 seconds."

  • A perk idea isn't a solution. The mechanic itself should be fixed, no perk required.

Blood warden is a perk where 70% people don't use it so they don't expect you to have it.

Designing a perk that only works if the survivors are negligent is a poor perk. If people start using it more then they won't fall for it.

  • It's because they don't want to put in the good stuff. They want you to buy the killer's that have the perks you want.

  • What killers need is the gates to regress when you let go of the switch. Most survivors 99% the gates just encase of Blood Warden.

  • The reason Nurse is okay is unless you master her, you won't be catching anyone. With spirit you can still try to M1 if you suck at phasing. As nurse your slower than the survivors until you build bloodlust. This is to counter act the fact she can go through walls. If you can't blink as Nurse your not going to get many kills. She is very difficult to get good with and she is very buggy. Since her rework your fighting the game as much as the survivors. Since her bugs are bad and because of her difficulty, the % of good Nurse players is very low. Spirit is common at higher ranks so that is why more people are complaining about Spirit. There's simply more of them.

So does the writer I'm gettin literally rewriting the F13 franchise with a kid jason?

No. The writer who made the first Jason. The one who drowned in the lake as a kid. He feels he should get more of a cut for setting the foundation for the character. So he's taking the IP owners of FT13th to court.

  • They don't want you to get the good stuff via shards. They want you to buy the killer with actual money then unlock said perk. How long did it take for BBQ to pop up in the shrine? Like almost 2 years?

  • Whispers or discordance for patrolling

STBFL because it's a great perk for M1 killers

Ruin+Undying, pop or intervention for gen slow downs

Sloppy+NC to make them terrified to heal.

More than 4 perks but I switch things out from time to time.

  • @Exerath1992 said:

Sounds like its not happening anytime soon. But... What would his powers be? I'd say he's 110% speed but his m1s can break pallets and doors as fast as chainsaws. Not sure on actual power though...

Turn into mist and pass through walls :P

Any female Jason gets a hold of gets their clothes torn off. Seriously he's kinda infamous for doing that.

Cover a large section of the map in mist, making it harder to see Jason.

Who knows what they could do but if it isn't viable at red ranks I don't want Jason in here. If he's going to be another M2 killer for survivors to bully id rather spare him that embarrassment.

  • It doesn't sound like a lack of objectives problem. Though I admit holding M1 is boring. It sounds more like a random problem. If they implement a true ranking system it could weed out the weak and stop them from reaching red ranks. It just baffles my mind how someone who sits at a pallet instead of looping can rank up past green.

Oh... Okay, wait why are they arguing over that BS, of course people would say the adult Jason is more popular than kid Jason, that Jason did jack before he became a killer and grew up (Somehow). If this is true then what is the point of this lawsuit?

Most people don't even know Jason wasn't even the killer in the first movie. Let alone he didn't get the hockey mask until the 3rd movie. Sure everyone pays to see the adult Jason. However all versions of Jason are built on top of Victor's creation. So he has some reason to justify wanting more income from his work.

  • @Hopesfall said:

How would his power differ from other basic M1 killers?

Let him turn into Mist for 2 seconds. This allows him to walk through pallets and vaults. Like a half ass Nurse :P

  • The reason I think so many killers camp is because it works on so many survivors. Especially randoms. A person gets hooked and most don't even know "waving your arms" is a signal that the killer is close. Randoms have no idea how close the killer is, if someone else is going for the save, if someone is going for the save and they get chased by the killer or if no one is even going for the save. This is why I run Kindred when I solo.

The other side is the killers. They get kills doing this method that they think "this must be how I should play. I'm at red ranks so I must be doing something right". They simply do not know rank means nothing and against experienced survivors or a swf, camping will almost never work.

  • The lawsuit is the issue. I haven't looked too into it but I think it has something to do with the creator of the first Jason. The kid Jason. He felt the character became more popular than anyone could have predicted and he wanted a bigger piece of the pie. The other IP owners told him "No one pays to see kid Jason. Our versions are the ones that make the money" so they told him to pound sand. Then he took them to court saying all their versions of Jason are built on top of his creation. Until the lawsuit is settled I count Jason as impossible in DBD.

    "Just stealth lol"

Meanwhile there are 30 different aura or tracking perks.

Nurse is fundamentally broken in the hands of someone skilled.

Fortunately I only see her once in a blue moon.

    All of which have counters.

BBQ-Lockers, Distortion, hide behind a gen or be within 38 meters of the hook

I'm all ears-don't make loud noises or Q&Q

NC-don't heal within the nurse's TR or use DIstortion

Undying-Cleanse da bones or use Distortion

The list goes on and besides your not suppose to be able to hide from the killer forever. They will find you eventually but the point is to waste as much time as possible so the rest of the team can finish gens. As Nurse I can tell you one of the most annoying things is when the survivors actually stealth. I can catch them in chases but only once a chase begins. It really sucks when Whispers is going off but you have no idea where they are. You can't do anything to block whispers but it's not aura reading.

  • I feel the exact opposite. What DBD needs is more unique killers like Nurse. Ones that force the survivors to mix things up instead of using the same tried and tested method that works on all other killers. I still run into survivors that try to pallet loop my Nurse instead of blocking LoS. That leads me to believe survivor game-play is stagnant and slow to innovate.

  • @Ghoste said:

It's a bug. Various objects are blocking pathways that shouldn't be, especially on Haddonfield and sometimes around the Killer Shack.

It's helping survivors. So I predict it will be awhile before it is fixed. Or my favorite excuse "It's a bug" turns into "Working as intended"

  • I had a match as nurse against at least 2 people in a swf. No idea if the other 2 were in another swf or random.

Start of the match i down someone. 2 people had flashlights so I pretend to pick them up and bait out the flashlight guy. I hit him and he takes off. The person I downed crawled to a pallet. I repeat the process and lure out another survivor. They take a hit and waste the pallet. As I'm breaking the pallet someone touched the downed survivor to revive them. Since she was literally on top of me I downed them again instantly. I blink and injure the 4th survivor. Then I go back to the first person I downed.

At this point corrupt intervention wears off. No gens have popped, 3 survivors are injured and one is downed. I pretend to pick up that person for the 3rd time. Low and behold the first person who attempted a flashlight saves comes out again. They didn't heal since the first hit so I downed him. Both of the swf downed survivors rage quit. 4k with zero gens done.

Then in the end game chat they yell at me for slugging. Now how in anyway did I play unfairly? Is it slugging if I postpone picking up someone because I suspect someone else is close by? Waiting for a chance to flashlight blind me or pallet stun me. I expected cheap saves so I adapted by not falling for them. Is it my fault they failed to adapt and got out played? Have you not heard of over altruism? They didn't have to save that person. It's their first hook. They could have just let it happen, wait for me to leave and make the save. Instead they threw themselves at me. Greedy for the moment to bully the killer. Meanwhile no one is working on gens. These are the kind of people who live to bully others and when they face a killer who turns it around, they go to the forums and cry "Nurse OP, plz nerf!"

At times I would love it if the devs put their foot down and say "you already have everything you need to win. Git gud"

I actually tend to use Autodidact with Solidarity whenever I use it.

So in my example my full build was Autodidact, Desperate Measures, Solidarity, WGLF. I was able to very quickly assist anyone injured, slugged, or on a hook, and by simply helping (if I was also injured) i’d either end up healed without spending any additional time doing so, or whomever I was with and just helped spent next to no time “topping me up”

I didn't think of mixing solidarity with autodidact. I might have to try that now.

  • The issue with solidarity is you need to be injured. Id rather have autodidact. It's annoying to get stacks but when you do it's amazing. My favorite team healing perk is We'll Make It but you need to unhook someone for that to work. Might not have it when someone is slugging.

  • Let's hope it's not one of those bugs that starts as a "bug" but later turns into "working as intended".

  • @LordGlint said:

Ill partially agree with this. If your urban evading from 1 end of the map to the other while the killer is clearly nowhere around... Yeah, your not being very productive. If you manage to stealth away from a gen after spinechill lets ya know the killer is on the way, your still wasting plenty of the killer's time as he has to figure out who was on that gen. Avoiding the killer and not letting him start a chase as he's wasting time searching the area is a POSITIVE thing over getting an extra 5 seconds of gen progress done and allowing the killer to start a chase immediately. While its true that you have players who are TOO immersive which leads to them being unproductive, that doesnt mean there isnt a time and place to utilize stealth.

I agree with this. Stealth has it's uses. However if the killer if clearly somewhere else than people need to stop crouching and run. Unless they are saving SB.

  • If anything it encourages tunneling. Once a killer gets hit by DS they're going to want to finish the job. Most people hate getting hit by it and that survivor no longer has a get out of jail free card.

  • @Zarr0ch said:

It's fine how it is. Dont tunnel, it's timer runs out. No issue.

    It really isnt that difficult

I disagree. Even if I don't tunnel I still get punished by it. 60 seconds is way too long. Pop got cut down to 45 and I find that's plenty of time to do my thing. I've hooked other people, found someone I hooked earlier, chased them, hit them twice and they still have DS. I clearly wasn't tunneling and yet I still get hit by it. Even then, tunneling is not a crime as stated by the devs themselves.

Then there's the people who deliberately get in your face because they have DS, they feel they need to use it. That's not how the perk was intended. Throw in UB and no matter what the killer does, it's time wasted. Last if you take the DS the killer is going to go after you because you have no 2nd chance perks left. Then once caught again the survivor either rage quits or says "Why you tunnel?"

  • I agree gen times are fine, regression could use a repair feature. However I think the real issue is the fact that most killer's don't have the mobility or powers that help them down people. That's why certain killers are the meta. Some killers just end chases quicker or they have a faster way to travel the map to push people off gens.

I often posted an idea about adjusting gen speeds depending on the killer being used. Killers with low mobility and lack of one shot have gens that take a little bit longer to repair(unspecified amount). While killers that are top tier remain unchanged.

I also thought of an idea like an overseer program. Much like the Director in L4D. Something that watches the match. Depending on certain circumstances he adjusts things. Like if the killer is downing people left and right, faster gen repairs. If the survivors pop 3 gens by the time the killer gets a hook, slower gens. However I know nothing of programming and my idea would probably take way too much work. If it can be done at all.

  • But without you, who will the survivor's bully? >.>

  • I'm predicting some bias survivor main is going to read this and say "Just apply pressure"

  • @Phaeris said:

Because as a killer in red ranks not running those ruin and undying almost guarantees gens go in 5 mins.

I actually hate having to run it in games.

and when we bring this issue to light survivor mains say "duhhhh just apply pressure". Well a lot of killers lack the mobility or chase ending powers to effectively do that.

I'd rather use Pharmacy tbh. 🤷‍♀️

I use pharmacy to farm green medkits and when I have enough I swap it out for IS. I bring a medkit with me and I have 2 ways to heal myself.

  • Of the 4 years I've been playing dbd on PC I've only met 1 person I friended via end game chat. Everyone else was either silent, just moved on to the next match or was someone I didn't want to be friends with.

That's generally how it works. If you don't see an OoO and there is an obsession, there is a 30 out of 10 chance someone is running DS. Normally, as a Killer, you just assume that and adjust tactics accordingly.

Or the killer could be running rancor, stbfl or pwyf. However the killer of all people would certainly know that. Unless I see no obsession I assume everyone has DS. Plus the killer had no way of knowing more than 1 person was running DS until after the match. It sounds like that killer was just being salty.

  • @Emeal said:

You have a DC button for those kinds of matches.

You should have posted your story to the feedback section instead.

If you DC you suffer a penalty because of that killer. I would just do gens and leave. That killer didn't sound very skilled. If he quits a match because 2 people ran DS he hasn't been playing killer for very long. If only 2 people are running DS instead of all 4, I consider that a good thing.

  • The only people who have a problem with dc bans are the ones dcing on purpose. I do not sympathize.

  • One bug I see almost every time I play nurse is the 2nd blink. A few times I blink once and when I charge the 2nd blink the noise stutters and it prevents me from blinking again. It just irritates me how long this bug has been in this game and it still isn't fixed. Meanwhile I can think of a few other bugs that get patched in 2 weeks.

  • I have all the killers, survivors and perks unlocked already. I've been playing for like 3-4 years. I'm saving the shards for the next non licensed chapter. That's how I got Oni+Deathslinger and their survivors. When each chapter came out I just happened to have 9k shards saved up. I unlocked the killer and waited till I got another 9k for the survivor. I wasn't in much of a rush to unlock the survivor's of those chapters because they're perks sucked.

I think he is saying that he didn't dc, but the game kept crashing. In which case, he should not be playing anyways until the issue is resolved.

Crash, DC, either way if your game isn't working don't blame the DC penalty. It's not responsible for your system.

  • The chances are greater at higher ranks but you have to remember, rank means nothing in this game. Players with 3k hours could have come back from a long break and they are back at rank 20 but they still have they're meta builds. I've seen rank 20 survivors run DS+UB+DH+Adren. It can happen at any rank but the higher up you go the more often you will run into it.

As killer I've come back from a long break. I deranked to like 16. When I get into a match I'm running maxed perks and I crush the new people. Then I say "Sry, came back from a long break. Not in my proper bracket yet"

  • I'm not trying to sound like a d#@$ but if you DC enough times that you get slapped with a 72 hour ban, perhaps you should consider playing something else? As some have mentioned you have to DC A LOT to get to that point. I dc once in a great while and I get 5 mins. It doesn't jump from 5 mins to 42 hours in 2 DC's. The only explanation is either you DC on purpose enough times that this is the reason these penalties are in place or you genuinely crash enough times for this penalty to affect you. If that is the case then your rig or internet may need to be upgraded because if you crash legit that many times, your system must not be up to par.

I crash once a month maybe and I've never waited more than 5 mins. I'm perfectly fine with the DC penalty. IMO the only ones who want this system removed are the ones it was designed to punish.

  • 1: I don't think that would help you much. Besides survivor's will abuse it. They see someone using UE, low lvl perks, no DS and they will lobby dodge. Admit it, there would be people who would do that.

2: Why not just equip Kindred?

3: No. Hex perks are already vulnerable enough.

4: You semi have that already. If the obsession is being chased the claws on their name twitch. You could just run bond so you know when someone is running to you. Give you a warning they might be bringing the killer your way. In my SWF we have 1 person who is pretty infamous for leading the killer to us when he is being chased. Some of us run bond just so we know when he is coming.

If they choose to silence an aggravated player expressing the TRUTH, so be it. I wouldn't be surprised.

It wouldn't be the first time they did it :P

  • I wonder how long it will take the mods to delete this hate mail?

  • Legion can't have nice things because he broke the game twice. When he first came out people quickly learned they could frenzy someone, turn around and walk backwards. They would follow your blood trail until you had to mend then they would hit you. Since it wasn't technically a chase the mending never paused. Impossible to escape.

Then there was the mess with the double mending add ons. Each time you hit someone in frenzy their mending time increased until it was actually quicker to get downed and recover.

  • Do not fear the pallet. Embrace it!!!!

  • Did you get 3 kills by hooking them 3 times each? Camping the body on their first hook till they bled out? Mori? Downed 3 people with noed and no one risked the rescue? The Entity isn't so concerned about the ends so much as the means.

The amount of kills doesn't earn a pip anymore. You need to do various things. Hook them multiple times, hit them to cause bleeding, kick their gens, chase them, hit them with your power, disrupt whatever they are doing. Also the survivors have to play to some extent. When I play my trapper sometimes I get 4k and not even a safety. Reason being I catch someone and hook them in the basement. Then people get greedy with their rescues and end up stepping in a trap. Only adding to the pile.

  • Not really. Undying is a nice hex perk that kinda makes cleansing totems important now. If you run undying+ruin 2 totems are lit up. If Ruin is cleansed it will jump to another dull totem. You need to either cleanse ruin 4 times or find Undying then cleanse ruin so it will go away for good.

  • The Babadook or Warwick Davis's Leprechaun. Picture it. A 4 foot killer traversing the map on a pogostick or a nightmarish go-kart.

  • He actually is kinda fun to play and viable once you learn how to bounce off walls. His mobility lets you travel the map. His power can help you in a chase. Although tight quarter maps really hurt him and since a recent update it can be difficult to bounce off certain walls. Some you need to hit straight on or else you'll slide instead of bouncing.

and undying is a good perk to combine with ruin. If you don't get the killer I at least suggest looking at the shrine every week to see if that perk shows up. If it's anything like BBQ it will probably never show up in there for at least a year.
