Personally I think the console and PC versions should be given separate treatment. Turn the dc penalty back on for PC at least. YOu can't get into a game without someone quitting.

I avoid them. most of the games with a twitcher or youtuber are disgusting. haddonfield offerings, 4 man swf with balanced landing... nah.. go back to the queue.
I don't avoid them but I don't like playing against them. TTVs are usually, like you said, bring haddionfield offerings. They bring keys or flashlights. They try to get your attention to show off their mad chase skills then rage quit when they find out your not a killer that can easily be bullied. As a killer they often quit and I get yelled at for not going easy on the others. As a survivor they don't do objectives because they are more concerned about putting on a show than actually playing the game.

I think that no one should be punished if they are new to the game and just learning. I quit too when i feel a hardcore player is beating me up.
If your new and you quit every single time your losing. Then how do you improve?
-
I just want to point out the difference between rework and buffs. Buffs are just upgrades to the existing kit. Number changes and things like that. Reworks are like completely overhauling the killer. Old Freddy and New Freddy being the prime example.

No, i am only talking about Nerf Spirit. I have victories againts her but she is unhealthy. Other killers are fine. And there so much killers needs buffs. Thank you for your opinion
That's what they all say when they don't like facing a killer.
"Its unhealthy" "It's not fun" "Its toxic"
I do agree a lot of killers are in need of buffs.
-
I think if your losing to a killer all the time then you need to improve instead of asking for more nerfs.
-
The only killer I hate going against is bubba because the majority of the ones I run into are face campers. There are some other killers that things I hate but I don't hate going against them for it.
Like when my camera jerks to a hag trap while I'm sprinting. Or when I'm facing a laggy huntress and it feels like she's throwing stick grenades instead of hatchets.
-
At the start of a match I rush gens. I just assume the killer is good. If we get 3 gens completed before they even get a single hook then I slow down by going chest/totem hunting. Usually I don't go easy on anyone because I do not expect the same treatment. The only time I might go easy on survivors is if someone had a legitimate DC and I stress legitimate. If it was a rage quit I do not go easy and when they complain in the end game chat I tell them to get angry at their teammate for quitting. As for killer I don't go easy on them because it's tough love. If they need to improve then they need to learn that. Otherwise they will run into a sweaty swf and get demolished. I'm trying to prepare said killer for what the game really is :P

Title. Am I allowed to play Spirit now?
You can play the weakest killer in the game, sit in the corner hooking nobody and they will STILL call you nasty things. Hence why I stopped caring about the opinions of sheep long ago.

@Yatol said:
console players experiencing crashing and framerate issues, RPD map on release would kick survivor out of a game when they completed 80% of a generator.
If BHVR wasnt going to put in the effort to make the game work on other platforms then it should have never come out on console. They just wanted more $$$
-
I don't actively go for the person pulled off the hook but if you get in my way, I'm going to hit you. That way you have to waste time mending.
As for people who do that and call me a tunneler. I stopped caring what other people think of me a long time ago.
-
Nope. The only time I use bbq for tracking is on my nurse. I run wglf all the time but that's for farming. If the bp gains were removed from both id probably never use them.
-
When I try to burn all my add ons on a killer before prestiging. Then I get people claiming I'm a try hard. So damned if you do and damned if you don't.
-
This is what happens when you keep lowering the bar.
-
I think it's perfect the way it is. You only get to use it if the killer is actually tunneling. People are just butt hurt they aren't invincible for 60 secs anymore.
-
"Any mid-chapter predictions?"
more bugs
-
The thing I hate about hag traps is if I am using SB or lithe as a trap goes off. The camera jerks me to face the trap and because I am sprinting, it often causes me to run into the hag.

Look we get you're an entitled killer main who thinks people shouldn't be able to ruin the game for the other players but that's the only reason I play and I don't think that should be taken away from me
You won't be missed
@JordanMalicious said:
Although it doesn't fix the issue entirely, people who rage quite need a penalty. I patiently wait for the dc penalty to return so my teammates maybe think at least a bit before dc'ing. It ruins the game for everyone on the team.
It will probably return we BHVR fixes the game. Which sadly will never happen. So long as the player basis doesn't plummet and people keep buying their buggy crap the devs seem content to let the game limp on.
-
For me it was letting go of old ruin. It was better at actually slowing down the progress of gens before it's rework. Fortunately pgtw and corrupt intervention were there to fill the void.
While were talking about Whispers I can't let that perk go but I don't consider it to be unfair or crutch. It's not aura reading like many other tracking perks. Come to think of it I don't think I've seen a "Whispers is OP" thread and survivors complain about almost everything. The thing I value about it most is it tells me if an area is clear. So I know not to waste my time searching it.

I play killer equally to survivor, both at rank 1
Rank really doesn't mean anything except time played during that month. If you've played killer against sweaty try hard squads you would know DH is often used to gain distance. That little bit tends to be enough to reach a vault/pallet and extends the chase for another minute.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
I always see people hating on it when in reality, would you rather go against a lithe,Sprint burst,balanced, or even smashhit over deadhard? Those other perks are wayyyy more annoying than deadhard and I'd rather go against a team of full deadhard over those anyday
If you have to ask why killers hate DH so much then you haven't played enough killer.
-
nothing, i got 20k shards and nothing that's able to be purchased with them is worth the cost. Last 2 original killers were garbage and the survivor's perks weren't all that either.

what are YOU smoking? every killer in the game runs faster than a survivor besides Nurse and guess what? she blinks. So pretty sure you're smoking crack or using hacks if you think you can run for 2 hallways in the first place without getting caught. Nevermind the rest of what you said.
Like I said. The time it takes you to catch someone in midwich is like 2-3 hallways. Its worse because they are right there and your slowly catching up to them.
and nurse isnt faster than survivors. Shes actually slower and she often needs to blink twice to close the distance, recharge then blink again to try to land a hit.
-
@Tricksterisfun said:
Firstly, Midwich school is one of the most killersided map in my opinion. Second could you please say which killer you played because everyones tier list could be different. But yeah that's just emberassing.
What are you smoking? Midwivh you can run for 2 hallways, jump in a room for a pallet. Then run 2 more.

NOED? What do you mean?
-Jill Valentine
With all the totem perks survivors have been getting lately. The buff to small game, detective's hunch, Inner Strength and now Jill's counterforce perk. I wonder if the devs are secretly telling survivors to "cleanse da #@$%ing bonez!!!"

@xEzekanarioX said:
tunnel = bad

i wonder why the killer is tunneling and camping me... maybe it was because he was about to down me but i used dead hard to extend the chase 2 more minutes? i dont understand killers, im only using a perk >:(((((((((((((
"i dont understand killers, im only using a perk
Survivor: The killer used NOED. That's cheating!
Killer: I'm only using a perk >.>

That would punish people with legitimate crashes because of the games poor optimization as well. So, it would do the very thing it was deactivated to avoid.
Honestly I think it would be worth it. People who legit DC would be punished but what % of DCs are legit? I'm guessing 10%. I think punishing the 90% that do it on purpose is worth it.

Killers screamed about Decisive strike and Object of obsession, both are ass right now.
Answer this question, would you be able to win without tunneling?
Killers screamed about them because they were both broken. Do not pretend survivors didn't do stupid #@$% because they had 60 secs of immunity. OoO was broken for swf because 1 person brought the perk and then everyone knew where the killer was at all time. It also took them 4 years to fix these perks. How long was ruin+undying a thing? 3 months?
As for the main topic. Tunneling does not exist. It is a made up word. I don't care who was hooked last. I will play however best helps me achieve my objective. I expect survivor to do the same. Why am I not extended the same courtesy?
-
@meatisadelicacy said:
Yep, and that doesn't mean it's not a crappy thing to do.
Survivors are not here to purposely go slow to help killers. You cannot judge them.
If a survivor flashlight clicks my face to get my attention, fails a mind game, gets caught and dc's. Then yes I CAN judge them.

I think there should be like back pay. All the people who have been dcing on purpose get slapped with a month ban lmao

My usual go-to on PH is: Ruin + I'm All Ears + STBFL + Surge
If you wanted to swap in BBQ for tracking/BP, then I'd probably drop STBFL for it. Though he does use STBFL quite well due to having a lethal special attack.
I highly recommend trying I'm All Ears on him, it's one of the best perks to use with his power.
Ruin and Surge are just nifty because kicking gens is too much of a time-cost.
I just want to add on Im all Ears. The idea is if your chasing someone and the fast vault a window. The perk highlights their aura so you can try to get a range attack when you wouldn't normally be able to see them.

Don't try to defend BHVR. This community is full of whiney little #@$%es but there are plenty of things they are in the right to complain about. If you don't understand that then you are either new or your on BHVR's pay roll.

Maybe but I really do think a large portion of us are starting to notice and are fed up.
I think it was a youtuber, whose name will get me banned if i mention it, who said
"This game is a revolving door. With new players coming in and old players going out"
-
@meatisadelicacy said:
Yeah it seems to be that all video game companies are interested in attracting new players, and not keeping the old ones. I don't think there's much we can do about it.
If they work their ass off to please us we might buy their next chapter. Which gets them what, $12?
If they attract a new player thats anywhere from $30-$500
-
So long as they keep attracting new players with half baked licensed killers they dont need to change because they are still making money. They dont care about us because they already have our money. They care about all the people who havent bought their game and all the dlc and cosmetics.
-
Every event breaks at release and is usually extended as a result.
-
@Zarathos said:
They should really half the size of the map into an west and east wing. If the map is so huge and performances intensive then it needs to be smaller. it will also give us a map where we interact with the killer and not spend large passages of time trying to navigate a massive poliece stations with multiple level's. This is extremely unappealing.
Since the map is capcoms IP they probably cant split it. I think that would solve it but unless both halves are large enough bhvr probably cant add extra rooms to make a half large enough.
-
Players are unhappy? Solution. Let them eat cake
-
Im sry to tell you this but this game was made for pc. Porting it to console was just to get more $$$$. The only compensation you will get is some bloodpoints
-
1: Don't DC. It's rude.
2: Don't be the first one found
3: Run Windows of Opportunity to help with routing. It makes a big difference if you know where your going has a pallet/vault.
4: Run Kindred if your playing solo. Helps others know the killer is face camping you. Pray to The Entity they are smart enough to do gens.
5: Play with friends who always bring Borrowed Time
The fact is if your being chased. Unless you can juke him into going the wrong way then the killer is GOING to catch you. Your goal is to make it take as much time as possible so he loses gens. If he face camps you and your team is experienced enough to realize "He's face camping. Do gens and get out". Then you essentially won. You won't get many BP or even a safety but that killer got probably even less. The only way killers are going to learn to stop face camping the first hook is survivors need to rush gens instead of rushing the hook.
-
The only killer I hate is bubba. Majority of the ones I run into are face campers.

Survivor Perk: Buy One Get One Free
Every time you complete a generator, a random totem is automatically cleansed.
Considering how starved the devs are for new perks that aren't half ass copies of existing ones. I hope none of them read this lol
-
@Orion said:
The devs are not going to cleanse totems for you.
You have the tools to deal with the problem. Use them.
What's scary is despite all the tools they keep giving survivors. I can one day picture the devs cleansing totems for them -.-
-
Every patch breaks the game.
New killers are copies of existing killers. The only reason I bought Nemesis is because he is licensed and there is no option to buy him with shards. I did not buy the twins with shards even though I have plenty. I can get them for free and I don't want them. I unlocked trickster with shards only because I wanted to mess around with star struck.
