  • My question to you is have you tried aiming it on PH? It is really annoying to aim it and for the most part unless someones at a pallet/window/narrow hall it can be dodged easily since you can see the outline of where it's popping up.

  • I really don't get it much either. First it was on reset you go back to at minimum 10. Now it's barely a change to your rank which people complained a lot about having to deal with very skilled players. Currently it feels like it's completely random at times the ranks as rank 19s are being paired with red ranks and such since if you actually play the game a bit for a "season" you'll easily be in green or purple ranks and you won't derank past 1 color.

  • typically 11 am EST for PC. 1 hour later for consoles or so i've heard.

  • About games specifically if it's written well it doesn't matter as long as the game has in depth characters. Games like DBD and such where you basically know is little bits of what they did and how they got here i don't think they should be. I'd prefer to have my own ideas and such as most people would. To sum up it shouldn't really matter as well as it's well written like any other character.

  • probably because it applies the broken effect. I don't see a reason you'd want to fixate someone for jumping off a hook where as stabbing you to get free from your grasp, or stunning you with a pallet would.

  • I don't typically have that problem with pallets it's usually i throw them down and get hit by some phantom range on a lunge the killer does, But when i do that as killer and basically hit them through the pallet it doesn't register as a hit.

  • This doesn't sound very serious and honestly would make the game really not fun if any of these were implemented.

  • I'd assume it's mostly due to lack of people interested in killers most of the time, but i am tired of seeing rank 16 killers have rainbow ranks in their lobby.

  • do remember this is on ptb and due to feedback i'd probably think they will make cages the same as being hooked so most perks aren't useless. Could be wrong but it wouldn't make sense for you to be basically unable to act whilst in a cage when you have perks to save yourself from the hook or something of the sort.

  • The grind isn't as severe as it used to be but it's still a pain. i think it's around 4 mil blood points for all perks on a character from level 50. Could be a little off. For survivors you really only need perks on 1 or 2 as each survivor is basically a re-skin. Killers are a bit annoying as to play specific builds on certain killers you need perks on all of them as they do different things and are not simple re-skins.

  • It is a "don't touch me for x amount of time after unhook" perk. Still can be annoying at times.

  • The game is probably the most killer sided map currently in game. They released the stats a while back for survival chances on all maps and lerys and game had the lowest survival chances period. It's simply easier to track blood when the ground is tile instead of shrubbery.

  • I don't feel the originals are too bad Quentin though... He uh needs some help.

I tunneled some person on wraith and they got a bit salty, and earlier someone told me to get better internet, ah the world of toxic survivors

i got told i would be banned for using bloodwarden to get a 4k against overly altruistic survivors. They sure do think they know everything don't they?

  • I will agree about the struggle phase. If you're not smashing your struggle button the entire time or your finger slips for a mere half a second you die.

  • Hard to say if they're toxic but something to really get them going is to throw blood warden on. Down one during End game preferably far from the opened door and wait till the bar goes below half. Pick them up hook them and see if they grab them. once that's done just sit at the exit gates and watch them tbag you into oblivion before they realize they can't leave and inevitably die to the collapse. It won't work every time but when it does it's glorious.

  • Probably not advertised enough on ps4. On PC however i see ads constantly about the game being on sale.

  • I really have no clue anymore. From my experience leveling a character from 1-50 i have got around 5 one time, a single one another, and i have got 0 a few times. I think it's just RNG with rare offerings/add-ons which would explain why my survivors tend to get less.

  • i believe it's reverted back to previous state where they are all playing with the rank 14 who is in close proximity to your rank. Typically that is the trend i have been seeing with red ranks in yellow/brown rank lobbies.

No. It may be allowed, but it is NOT sportsmanlike nor is it fair for the person it's happening to.

    Then is pallet looping "sportsmanlike"?

  • They don't have a ton of graphics adjustments in settings and you're asking for more settings in kill your friends?

  • I highly doubt it will ever be balanced completely with the pallet looping meta. The game would most likely need reworked in a lot of ways in order to fix a ton of issues. I don't feel the game is awful but it's far from fun all the time. Most killers are in a fairly weak state currently as a decent survivor can burn time at loops while others do gens. That's where the major problem i feel is with survivor. The only objective you really have if no one is downed or you're not being chased is to do generators and maybe a totem. It's a difficult to fix as they could add another objective, or extend generators times depending on maps and number of pallets on the map.

Maps are another issue on there own as bigger maps are harder to apply pressure in certain areas so gens can quickly be done in those areas. It's not perfect by any means and far from balanced currently, but hopefully since the ruin change the devs can find a way to balance things a bit more.

You can't however get rid of toxicity especially if people feel wronged by being camped/tunneled, as much as i hate to admit it is a valid strategy and quite effective for securing kills.

  • I love bugged lunges. Mine have recently been not lunging or getting the speed increase.

Here's a little list of some random meme games.

Chest Protector: Guard basement chest, only attack if they try and open the chest. If you down someone take them out of the basement. You can attack other people if they come down while carrying someone else.

Stay off my Lawn: Go to strode house or the killer shack and chase people off if they come into your territory. You can't leave your lawn. Just sit on the porch and watch people.

Conga Line Trapper: Get all traps and place them in a line. Then you can play normally.

Shy Ghostface: Just run away from survivors when they notice you. Try and stalk them without giving yourself away

Redlight Greenlight: You can only chase them when they don't look at you. If they turn their head you have to stop until they get behind cover. No moonwalking.

AFK Wraith: Have insidious/distressing and beast add-ons. Just hide and mess with people, can wait in front of exit gates with noed.

Insidious Nurse: Wait on other side of exit gates using Nurse with Noed/Insidious.

50/50 Pig: Use proper add-ons and then bodyblock a box.

Mad Grit Backpacking: Can only hook someone after downing someone else while backpacking a survivor.

Item Hunter: Use Franklins and trap/camp items.

Never-Ending T-Bag: Goes around as Ghostface and play normally but never stop t-bagging.

Totem Protector: Have all hexe perks with one of them being thrill and do your best to protect them all.

Can confirm Afk Wraith pisses people off quite frequently. Add bloodwarden for added rage.

  • Toolboxes are kind of useless now being as they repair at most half a gen. Commodious toolboxes prior to the update if you used socket swivels and instructions could repair 3 gens easily and still have charges left. Now they're kind of lacking with minimal charges which feels kind of unrewarding to use. I'd much rather use a medkit than a toolbox now as the ability to heal yourself at a fast speed is extremely good.

I'd argue his biggest issue is not downing someone with a spear hit on an injured survivor. Zero reason someone is allowed to drop a pallet early, get hit, and act like nothing happened.

Spear hit vs injured survivor should down them, period.

If a bear trap can automatically put someone in the dying position, no reason this couldn't (if you want to try the coding route).

I'd assume it's because you can shoot through things extremely easy compared to a huntress hatchet or something. It is kind of ridiculous but i've not had too much of an issue playing him aside from "safe" loops and missing shots.

Maybe new to leatherface possibly, but the last guy who played was a Rank 12 Killer. I'm not condemning it, i'm just thinking you'd earn a lot more points actually trying to play rather than just sit at the hook with the 1 survivor.

While minority of killer characters do this, i find the chance is higher while versus leatherface for some reason.

It is nearly impossible to get an unhook on a person if he is camping them which is why. He's the only killer that it's possible with.

  • Biggest issue with him is if you can't aim efficiently he becomes very bad.

  • There's no penalty to bloodpoints for camping a hooked survivor. They also may be doing it as they're new or just being a jerk. Face camping is sadly a strategy that is not bannable unless you find it's the same guy doing it to you in multiple matches. I'd say just don't get caught or play killer for shorter queues.

  • It is mostly maps and killer dependent. Big maps are going to give you a disadvantage if you're not playing a mobility character. Smaller maps are decent for most killers as you don't have to travel as far between gens. gen speeds above solo are insane for the most part. it cuts the time required to repair in half almost. There's a lot of issues but map size and certain loops are a big issue in my opinion if they're not going to look at gen repair speeds.

  • I'd say just more objectives for survivors to do aside from gens/totems. Just a secondary objective to award some points and give them something aside from riding gens.

  • my friend who is rank 18 killer encountered 3 red ranks the other day. I've also noticed that games tend to have more red ranks in them at all ranks now for whatever reason.

  • That's latency and it's a pain.

I think in this situation, he was banned more for targeting a player then the meme game itself or at least that seems like how it was put.

Kind of like if you go to farm in a match and one person doesn't want to farm so you kill them and let the others go which is a bannable offense. In this case depending on how the video looks, it might appear like he was specifically targeting that one person only to let the others go.

Seeing as to my knowledge this is the only instance ever of a meme game ban even with the tons and tons of youtube videos of such things, the report must have been pretty detailed and the video must have seemed like your friend targeted that guy out of malice.

I have no intention myself of stopping meme games even if the devs announce they're all bannable but as a note for when I do them, I never hook or kill the players unless it's something where I can move freely and get everybody. I've done basement protector and get off my lawn games but I always leave the person slugged or I just pick them up and drop them elsewhere. I'm not saying this ban is right, far from it but unless we could see the video which isn't possible, from an outside perspective it could appear to be player targeting which would be just bad luck for your friend. 😕

Sounds that way to me as well. I've never been banned for meme builds and i do them frequently and have people say they're sending footage in and such but nothing has happened to my knowledge. Not sure if you can be banned and not know because i do take a few days break at times.

That sucks honestly, sry for your friend thought. But well I guess we could already think about that... Killers are never able to have fun or stress less. Only survivors, if there are game breaking buggs like sound, lunge, nurse, hitboxes or any other bugs for Killers then the devs dont care and fix it in the next few months/years. But if there is 1... only 1 single survivor bug then its getting fixed in the next few days. I just love that bias.

That's not true, remember the wake up! bug where it gave you increased speed on everything?

  • Still doesn't make sense and doesn't say that anywhere in game rules from what i just read on the forums. Unless those people felt so personally attacked that they were not chased idk. Like i said i meme a ton as killer and have not received a ban or anything to my knowledge.

  • I don't fully understand that. Is it griefing because one person was killed? it sounds like they really don't know to be honest unless whoever he killed wrote a detailed description feeling personally hurt. I've done meme games a ton and have had a forum post about one because of how much hate i had gotten for it from survivors and a mod said it's not bannable. If there was a bug with an add-on that might be the actual reason for the ban as i've not received a ban for meme games to my knowledge. They are bad at informing you that you are doing a no-no especially if you're memeing and don't realize it.

  • you get points for how much of their health you healed. Typically only like 10 if they recovered fully. A health state score event wouldn't be a bad idea.

  • matchmaking in a nutshell

    in Nice. Comment by Eleghost
  • Yea rift feels more grindy for me this time around. Finished all challenges in the 2nd tome and only got to around tier 56.

  • Because it hasn't changed in forever. The original adepts were just to have perks and teachables then those switched. I also believe it should be a 4k not dependent on emblems.

  • Are people actually having problems playing him? I've had next to no issues with him against most survivors. I'd say he's easily mid-tier maybe upper mid-tier. You're not supposed to aim for a long time and i really haven't seen much of an issue with the aim or speed really. He counter's loops extremely well as long as you can quick aim and shoot people they won't even be able to throw a pallet down.

  • I really don't think he's too bad. I got the achievement for a merciless victory in the first match i ever played as him with only brown add-ons. I find him very fun and it's super easy to prevent looping with him. I don't see how you or other people think he's bad simply because you're not handed the insta-down on hitting a shot? This killer is probably mid-tier as is maybe even upper mid-tier. His spear outshines huntress hatchets as there's no need for a wind up.

  • uh what are you playing on? i'm pretty sure they set an all time high recently on steam. Also there is ton's of survivors because if played decently it's almost impossible to lose.

  • There was a cap before clown, it was 750k. It's in place to prevent people from hacking in infinite bloodpoints.

  • Do people actually use broken keys?

  • I don't think the issue is gen times, I feel it is more in the utility survivors can bring to lower the gen time and lack of utility killers have to increase it. With ruin being decimated killers lost their one tool to slow gen progression somewhat reliably. Now survivors have tool boxes, prove thyself, and a lack of perks slowing them down so if they're not being chased, the obvious thing to do is to work on generators.

There are some other factors to bring into account such as: Skill, Map size, Which killer you are playing, and Survive with friends. All of these affect the game, some more drastic than others.

  • Well it's either play Nurse, Billy, or Spirit. Using typical things bbq, nurses, thanat, sloppy butcher etc. Swapping to survivor is also a strong alternative.

  • I feel kind of the same as i play mainly killer and sometimes the matches are okay, but other times it's like being kicked in the teeth. It feels extremely bad if you get put with survivors who know somewhat of how to loop, or just get a bigger map that's harder to patrol everything. I understand not all gens should be able to be fully defended but sometimes it feels like none of the gens can really be defended.

  • This has happened to me before. I found restarting my computer completely fixed it. if this has only happened one time i'd say try that.
