I think NOED is honestly the fine as is currently. It's a risk/reward perk. If they don't do the totems that's on them. The perks been in game since launch and was changed to a hex because it was too strong with a time limit on it.
Basically just do the totems. They give points anyway and if the killer has NOED, well he no longer has it if the totems are done.

I've been playing for the past hour with waiting times of around 10 - 15 mins to find a lobby.
And the MMR is very bad. I was rank 4 and kept getting low rank players who played AWFUL.
The last hour has not been fun at all. Why should I keep playing this game when it is consistently a bad experience for me?
During the day it's not as bad because there are more people playing but as soon it starts to get late I start having these issues. It's clear that less and less people are playing this game.
MMR matchmaking isn't turned on. You're just getting whatever the game says you get. Also my queue times are trash for survivor but amazing for killer right now. There aren't less people playing there are more people playing survivor.

What makes you assume most would have it off?
Judging from the amount of people who were for it and weren't for it in this post alone should answer that question.
-
@Blueberry said:
If it can be turned off I don't really see a reason not to add it.
Because if most people have it off then what's the point of implementing it?
-
Is the mmr thing even out? Last i heard it was disabled because of some issues with it.
-
we already have that cosmetics bundle though. Also, since the new killer is the blight i'd assume there will be a hallowed blight event again/next rift relating to it somewhat.
-
The game is balanced for the player who is slightly above a casual player of this game. Any casual player or player with hundreds of thousands of hour you will start to see imbalances. it's typically survivor sided at red rank with people knowing how to loop, perks to run, etc... yelllow/brown rank however, tends to lean heavily to killer sided as most survivors know little to none about looping or perks to bring, or what to do in cases of camping and other killer strats.

Sure, but there are some completionists out there that want the whole set, so if they happen to miss one (likely the last one which as you say is the coolest) they probably feel pretty bummed out about having no way to get it.
should have played more when they were out. I mean hey i'm bummed i don't have a shot at legacy but i understand why. People put in time for that when it was out.

I wonder if The Blight's sprint is affected by speed granting perks such as PWYF, Devour Hope (2stacks) etc.
If so he might be the fastest killer in the game if we're factoring powers as well although I don't know his % of speed yet.
If you're counting powers i think Oni or billy might have him beat with add-ons.
-
Michael is a bit low should be around c or b. Deathslinger probably also b.
-
Survivor with adrenaline, and hope after being smacked by the killer on unhook.

That seems pretty unfriendly to the player base if you ask me, I thought the whole reasoning behind giving all the past exclusive cosmetics was so that everyone was on the same footing and there wasn't any exclusivity.
It's not unfriendly. You simply didn't dedicate the time or money when they were available to acquire something unique and i believe at minimum the charms should stay unique to that specific rift. I didn't get a few pieces of the summer outfits for deathslinger and claudette when those were available because i couldn't so should i get them now?

That would someone say who wants to trick other players into getting a penalty.
I'm not tricking anyone i'm just stating how people found out it was off. You know because people enjoy to dc when they're slightly inconvenienced most games.
-
It's not very great typically. Sure you can get one kill out of it but that's about all. I like to pair it with Bloodwarden. That way if i hook someone end game and down them and they dstrike me they get the death sentence usually without escape.

It was stated that the items from the Rift would eventually be able to be obtained. "If you missed some rewards in The Rift, most of them will eventually be available in our in-game store after a minimum period of 6 months."
However, there's no mention of charms. There's no section in the shop for charms either, does this mean that charms from previous Rifts will never be obtainable, or will a new charms section be introduced?
i think they've said that charms won't be available ever again. They're not very great except for the last charm you get is cool usually.

I think a simple but fair nerf would be when the last gen pops, you can instadown for sixty second just like haunted grounds. It would no longer be a Hex.
but... but that's literally what NOED was before but people said it was too strong so they made it a hex.
-
For me either Stealth killers back to back to back, or freddy. Freddy is a bit annoying with his deceitful lunge range.
-
@Nicholas said:
Where does it say it's off?
when you dc and get no penalty.
-
I'm sure some people feel that way but most don't really want it or would turn it off. It's a decent idea but it would lead to more toxicity than helpfulness.
-
hatch will spawn always if there is one person left, or if 1 gen is left and 3 are alive, 2 gens left 2 alive.

@joshuashep22 said:
if you unhook in front of the killer no matter what the killer does in this situation they are guaranteed to lose at least one gen worth of time the build is deliverance, decisive, unbreakable (or soul guard) and borrowed time if everyone ran this build then I don't think there would be any killers left to play with in dbd.
it's a risk and reward perk. if you're that first guy hooked then you don't get your perk.

They yeet off the game on the first hook anyways, so it won't make such a change.
I don't really see the point of DC penalties.
You don't seem to understand that even if they do this they still waste killers time and award the killer a stack if using certain perks. Dcing prevents the killer from getting those points for hooking or the stack on their perks ruining the game for not only the survivors but also the killer.
-
no please there's already too many perks to get.
-
Bags are a must on him but i don't think he should have the ability to hold more than 1 after placing his traps unless an add-on is used. Basically give him 2 or 3 starting but can hold only 1 after deploying them.
-
The game of run around the pallet loop isn't exactly fun from a killer perspective. It's less fun when it's a god loop or your playing one of the not so amazing killers.

Ie 25% to 50% per perk slot, and for a lack of item/add-ons on said item?.
Would be a very good buff for people beginning the game, making survivors/killers with a lack of perks for a build get bp more quickly, and for experienced players to gain them quickly at higher ranks/MMR by going perkless/addonless. Rewards challenge and allows for players who haven't progressed as far into the bloodweb to get things easier.
Can you imagine how many points you would get as killer if you just ran bbq and nothing else. it'd be insane.

There is one counter play option and 3 alternative preferable options:
Counterplay:
- If its a bubba always assume its a face camping tunneling sweatlord and don't rescue anyone (because 100% of the time this is the correct assumption and the correct response when facing ANY bubba)
The next thing you do is either of these 3 options (not Counterplay but a solution all the same)
- If you and your team are Blendettes go ultra immersion mode, refuse to do gens and just slink about the map for as many hours as you can manage, punishing the bubba for being such a sweatlord
- Spam noise till the bubba derps its way over to get you and hook suicide to find a match against a killer that isnt a complete cheasymode sweatlord.
- DC
The claudette thing is technically reportable for holding the game hostage if you're not doing gens and purposely hiding.

Leatherface is the DUMBEST killer to play against. An instadown that punishes people unhooking you? Plus a perk that lets you see survivors away from you? idk How this is ok? He is so unfun to play against and play as. He needs a serious nerf.
a killer main complaining about leatherface? interesting times... He's not super broken and his perks are fine for the most part. They can nerf bbq when the nerf dstrike again. People seem to forget he has no map presence.

New players go against new killers. And new killers have no clue that what they are doing is frowned upon. They just do it because it seems logical to do it and you can't really blame them either. Devs need to come up with something.
Yea I mean if their goal is to kill the person they're probably doing a pretty good job of it by doing that.

I get those potatos as well. This game really needs some work. Crossplay has brought fourth, en Mass. The Potatoes.
Borrowed time should become a mechanic built into the game. If the killer is within so many METERS of the hook. The status effect is automatically applied. This would END camping, teach killers to become BETTER at the game, save the company from having to read through tons of reports.
Of course it would be fair that they work on giving killers BETTER map control too!
oof that's a big suggestion there and a quite unbalanced one any way you cut it. Whether you like it or not camping is a valid strategy. It is punished by losing emblem progress which take that as you will.
A side note to that is if you're saying Borrowed time needs to be baseline then maybe NOED should be too?
-
I really have no idea how people get stuck in the hill i've only seen it once and it's never happened to me a single time. Also how you got a 6 hour lock on matchmaking?
-
@gushobbleton said:
I keep getting killed by dumbasses who think they have borrowed time.
i believe they talked about this in a stream or video a while ago and the reason they say no is because of the major downsides it can cause. Such as if someone is going to save you but you kick them away or something and the killer downs them then it seems pretty bad on you.
-
It's a decent perk i don't feel it's as bs as some perks survivors have. It only tells you if they're looking at you from a certain distance not where the killer is.
-
they should put the updated one on ptb. i still think we have 2 weeks minimum till next chapter.

^ this.
There is nothing more funny than seeing a Claudette crouching against a Wall, thinking she is invisible.
You would honestly be surprised how often some claudettes think that if they stand in any dark place they are completely invisible.

I did edit my post right after I sent it live to mention an AoE 1-hit down killer. 😂
Bubba was on my side roster, but I might have to play him more and see how stupid people can be over an average number of matches. 😁
Basement bubba has proven to me that people will still continue to go into the basement after you've downed and hooked 2 people there with insidious.
-
People do that kind of stuff often enough for it to be concerning.
-
When i play killer i'll say gg then wait to see if people say anything rude if they do i'll mess with them a bit.

So if we all escaped without him killing us would it be a problem then? Even if he hit one of us or multiple of us?
Probably not as he did try to kill you all in the end and shouldn't have to play how you wanted him to. I mean as killer i'd prefer the survivors not loop the hell out of me but they do it anyway.
-
@seki23 said:
is not unless he did that for a lot of matches in a row and got multiple reports constantly then the story might be different.
Even then though it can still be considered a strategy that works if he's getting multiple kills a game and makes it look like the survivors are just mad about dying.

That doesn't make any sense. So even though he sat there, because he killed us it is fine?
Hard to say but i believe the answer would be yes. You all died and it does seem like he was using some endgame strategy that well worked pretty well in his favor against you.

When the cosmetic store was first released she had an outfit on the ptb that was her base outfit recolored to black. On actual release the outfit was changed to grey because of how camouflaged she was.

Because he waited till the end is my guess and killed you all.

I would say no but i have no idea. I've had games where killers just completely afk the entire match and i don't think anything happens to them.

Please tell me this then. Oni's power is stronger than tier 3 and he doesn't have the hindrance tier 1 has yet he isn't op. How would taking out tier 1 make him unbalanced?
Oni is hindered by having to absorb blood orbs and actually hit people. Myers you just look at people and hold a button. You can't take out tier 1 without completely reworking his tier 2 and 3.
-
but my beast of prey bonus hunting points :O

Wut I never said he was op and decent spot? Most people who played the game for a while would tell you myers m is a weaker killer
you're saying take out tier 1 which is what makes myers balanced as he has to get up to tier 2 for normal speed/lunge. tier 1 is simply for stalking or being sneaky. You have no heartbeat while in tier 1 so that's decent.
-
I don't think myers' power is op in any sense, tier 1 is to sneak up and stalk stealthily, 2 is to chase or stalk, 3 is for stabby time, hurdle champion myers. He is in a decent spot aside from his point scores being extremely low.
-
there are no i-frames aside from dead hard, and i think half a second while being unhooked the hit will not do a health-state but will hit.. The issue is you were speared during your hit not counting unhook part, which a spear is not a hit so you were dragged then hit.
