why not? tier 1 and 2 perks suck anyway. people can't enjoy the game when they have their perks at tier 1 or 2. they also need to rework most perks but getting rid of tier perks is the first step in the right direction

Then that means that when a new chapter comes out killers and survivors are all just gonna use meta because they now have the BP to just get instant meta perks Undying/Ruin/Corrupt/Pop etc and theres no buildup. Thats just me though i think the tiers should stay. "Reworking perks" imo is the first and best step in the right direction.

  • No don't get rid of tiering perks! Leave it alone, also perks need reworks and buffs (Up the Ante, This is Not Happening etc) This to me should take priority over the other things but this is just my opinion

  • The best indicator of skill and or ability is not through MMR but through rank! Rank therfore means more to ME than MMR

  • @Brimp said:

I mean... hes trying to prove a point that has already been proven wrong before. The whole competitive scene has perk restrictions on survivors and on a good team they can def still 3 out vs a good killer. Now imagine comp if you were able to run 4 ds, unbreakables, dh, bt/deli/comraderie. Yeah, let's just say most of those good killers would be getting 2 kills at max.

With how this game is currently its 100% survivor sided with most maps having large gen spreads, insane gen speeds along with that, seemingly a pallet at every other filler (unless its shelter woods), toolboxes/medkits, good loops, etc. this game is most definitely survivor sided.

Yeah its funny because some people dont take the maps into consideration. The majority of the maps are survivor sided with a couple of killer sided ones and the rest balanced (McMillan Estate etc). Even with gen defense perks its hard. The only advantage killers may have on bad maps like RPD station, That new map , Haddonfield and Red Forest is that if you have Undying/Ruin your Ruin may stay up long enough for you to slow the survivors down and get a win ie a3/4k.

DBD is survivor sided and does not cater to competitive players like myself at all. Solo is like hardcore DBD which makes it interesting. Survivor sided but still a fun game!

Hey friend! Maybe I can help clear things up:

Grades are not used by the matchmaking system. They used to be called "Ranks" and were used for matchmaking, but that is no longer the case. Grades serve as a monthly tracker for how much time you spend playing, based on the Emblem system (Emblems turn into pips, and pips turn into Grades). You can't lose a grade through de-pipping anymore, either! At the Grade Reset on the 13th of each month, everyone goes back down to Ash IV and starts the climb again, and they get a Bloodpoint reward for their previous Grade. Get your Grade higher, and you get a bigger reward!

MMR is an entirely separate value used for Matchmaking. It's hidden, meaning you don't get to see it. It has absolutely no connection to Grades: Your MMR doesn't directly influence your Grade, and your Grade doesn't directly influence your MMR. MMR doesn't reset each month, but it is constantly adjusting based on match results to try to find you balanced games. This is why it's called SBMM (Skill Based Match Making), it's trying to measure your skill and put you in matches with similarly skilled teammates / opponents.

We've been considering removing the Grade icons from the post-game screen due to this confusion. I was hoping we could leave them there to allow everyone to have a little way to show off / have some bragging rights, but I've seen lots of people confusing Grades with MMR (understandably so!). What do you think? Should we hide the Grade icons on the match summary?

Thanks for taking the time to ask your question! I hope this explanation has helped clear up some of your confusion so you can get back to enjoying the game. <3

Ok i get it now! Thanks for the clarification. Grade should stay so people like me can use points of reference. I dont know how i feel about MMR or SBMM, im very competitive so i dont think the MMR would favor me anyway. Could be wrong but again thanks for the response! )

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2681182#Comment_2681182

Thats actually wrong. Since you can only depip until you reach 0 pips in that grade. But you will never go from red to a lower grade. Doesn´t matter how often you lose.

I dont get what your saying..Depiping lowers your grade and you definetly go from Red 4 to the previous grade by losing ie depiping ie when your constantly losing. This MMR thing is confusing!

  • @Tsulan said:

The red "rank" is actually a grade. Grades only represent the time someone played since the last reset. It´s no indication of player skill.

They should probably make this more clear, since so many people ask about this.

I dont agree with that at all. Yes it is an indicator of the player putting "time" in but your forgetting that to get there in the first place you need to do very well ie 3k and 4k and get ruthless and merciless killer so to say that people at this point can still be bad or have no or little skill doesnt make sense. If you do bad your gonna depip period and not make red rank. Yeah its true you can just draw against survivor and get 2k every game with Brutal Killer but thats something different. im assuming your MMR would remain the same depending on how you got high MMR in the first place or not

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

So the way to get to red rank is pip'ing. But high MMR does not equal your rank. I'll give an example of this.

Out of all of my killers, I probably have the most time on Plague. Before they reimplemented the new SBMM I would get 3-4k every game. Now with the new SBMM (skill based match making) I'm lucky if I even get one kill. Keep in mind I was ash rank going against people that most likely play the game at the tournaments. So, if I swap to a different killer, one I have almost no play time on, blood them and so on get them to what I want it as, I could go into an iri game and curb stomp survivors. The ranking system doesn't mean anything to the MMR. For killers they look at your kills per game for each individual killer. Survivor is just for all survivors.

Ok so at red rank 2 (second to highest rank you can get) to get there I mostly 3 and 4k'ed with Pig, Trapper and Myers which are my killers to pip so does that mean my MMR is high with these killers only? It sucks because theres no real way to tell that your at a high MMR then. I play like 12 killers but use 4 or 5 to pip and get kills with, is that it?

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I assume when I am playing Solo that I will die as I just kind of expect incompetent teammates. Then I can at least be pleasantly surprised when I get one or two (or...dare I dream....THREE) good to great teammates.

It's why I run Bond on most of my builds and Kindred on every build; I just assume the team is going to be incompetent so I need to have the information perks to help me make the best decisions.

I hear ya. The worst thing that can happen though is that your team is so incompitent that they let you get 2 hooked or even 1 hooked with Kindred. I had a game once where my team let me get one hooked and i had Kindred....After that game i didnt que back up for another 2 minutes or so and smh while contemplating and questioning in my head lol. I couldnt believe the team i was playing on was THAT bad!

A gen usually gets popped right before you get to the gen with Pop.

    Not with Freddy! )

  • Freddy doesn't suck at all!

  • No Way Out gives you more time to find survivors up to the end game. With the current meat ie boons Hexes not only get taken out but turns into something advategous for survivors. No Way Out and Hex: No One Escapes Death is a good combination.

I would say sometimes its good to run Corrupt/Pop/NWO/NOED

The very idea of abandoning your item in return for keeping your life abhors me. Either you die with your item or you escape with your item. Especially if it's an event item. Never leave a good broken key behind.

You cant say that because everyones different and do things for different reasons. Personally if its the end of a trial and im in a critical situation where i need to survive Im putting that big ass red medkit down as to increase my chances of survival ie not to be seen by the killer.

The way i perceive it is that survivors are putting they're item down as like a "ok you found me and theres nothing i can do so just get it over with" The item will do them no good in those situations.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I dunno, I kinda just let it happen whenever.

What I don't give hatch for is people dropping their items. Too plain of a gesture for me. Not to mention it's wasteful.

How is it wasteful if they're dead anyway? lol Thats why they're putting it down in the first place

  • @Clevite said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2648040#Comment_2648040

How do you figure this. IF more people are doing Boons, less chance for NOED.

No! A survivor will keep blessing the boon that i keep putting out then with Trapper for example once that last gen is popped i go to the dull totem (the totem that kept getting blessed and snuffed out) and trap it up. The counter to NOED is to "destroy" dull totems not blessing them although it can be blessed too. If a survivor happens to get to my NOED before i do and bless it that's different but that's also much more rare and situational for that to happen.

  • Never! Never gave survivor hatch (willingly) and never will....Heck no!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • @Clevite said:

I think Boons were a counter to NOED and other hexes. As well as camping and tunneling to a certain extent.

I believe Bhvr is trying to maker counters to the various game plays, Like Built to last countering Franklins, Boons countering Hexes, etc.

Boons arent a counter to NOED at all, if anything boons ensure that the killer WILL have NOED endgame.

    @Sonzaishinai said:

Thrill slows down blessing a dull totem to 28 seconds and a hex totem to a whopping 56 seconds.

Run a all hex build with thrill and boons will rarely be a problem.

Thrill+plaything allows you to hit every totem eventually but that has a risk of losing thrill early

Even thrill on it's own is decent. 28+16 seconds for a heal is a long time. If you snuff it twice and the survivor keeps reblessing it you have an amazing slowdown

I actually play all Hex builds sometimes in my attempt to win and get 3 or 4k with alot of hooks, its not that good. I even went to RPD station a couple of times with Pig and all Hex perks and i still ended up losing..a map where its hard to find totems (or a map where people don't really know all the spawn yet)

Im not saying its bad at all but its certainly not an answer to boons and if THATS not a answer (Pig with all Hexes on the newest largest map) to boons then nothing is.

  • @feechima said:

Uh, are you new to the forums? The majority of threads are from killer mains who have been complaining, sometimes justly, about survivor perks and SWF for years, or just how unfun the game is in general. BOTH sides complain, constantly. Survivors right now mostly have been complaining about camping, slugging and tunneling as they have for years. Killers about boons and Dead Hard now that the previously complained about keys were nerfed. It never ends.

That being said, your entire post seems to be building up the fact someone sent you a hate message about NOED. Use what you want, there will always be folks complaining.

Fair enough. I dont see how killers can complain about Dead Hard but whatever. My post wasn't building up to anything, it was generalizing. Its about the term "killer main" and what it means to me as well as other people

You're the one that needs to pay attention. You asked someone how anyone that mains a certain side can be biased? That if they main a certain side they have knowledge to help balance the game. That's not true. Below is what you replied to another poster and the part of your long winded post I replied to. The only part. No one asked how great you are at the game.

"How are people who main something biased!? Lol its the exact opposite if someone mains a certain side they can give details and experiences to the developers on how to properly balance. I main killer but im not biased at all! I play survivor as well and this is a key point."

In hindsight It doesnt matter if you main one side or not you can still contribute to the ideas of balance. That person said that i cant create a balance because i main killer and i merely backed up my argument taht you can and the fact that thats not true. You can main one side but still not be biased. You misinterpreted or didnt understand what i was saying.

Read GUY!!! Pay attention to what your reading because i clearly state that i play both sides and i explain what maining killer means TO ME! Im great at this game period as i play both sides so i understand more than someone who plays only one side.

    Eh.

There are some aspects of the game that really grind my grapes as killer. The pseudo-infinite 'House of Pain' on Haddonfield (why is this still a thing?) and Badham, toolboxes and PTS, boon patrols etc.

NOED really isn't that scary unless it's combined with NWO, in which case you just have to sacrifice someone and wait it out.

I play maybe 85% killer and 15% survivor.

The only thing that frustrates me as survivor is not having sufficient tools to communicate with the other survivors.

Communicate or have information? If you want to communicate coms, if you want information Bond, Kindred and throw Open Handed in there if you want even more info, for your team as well (with Kindred)

Sadly this will not happen or be accepted. There was a time when killers were way too salty on forums that they demanded that swfs on discord be forced or discouraged not to be on voice comms simply because it made the game for the killer "unbalanced" or "unfair".

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/295181/what-maining-killer-means

You obviously have not met a killer who complained "you gen rush noobs" or"why you gen rush" to survs... Complaining works both ways and so does the accusation of entitlement. Killers all feel that they are entitled to 4k every game. But life is not that easy is it? 😊

In my head sometimes i go. Damn the gens are so fast or way too fast but this is when i have 0 regression perks or gen defense. Thats as far as it goes though I know that my non Ruin builds need work and especially with the current meta i definetly need Undying/Ruin especially with my weaker killers. Otherwise i do end game builds

Any good clown can counter holding W pretty well. Using his tonics and antidote’s effectively makes holding W a bad idea

Doesnt change the fact that he's one of the weakest killers in the game. You can do well with him just like any killer which is why there are no killers D or F tier.

Pip means nothing anymore. You are two months late... And emblems are now called grades and have nothing to do with rank/MMR.

And sorry, didn't know you were the world champion, the golden survivor, better than streamers with 12k hours.

    Praise the lord 🧚‍♂️

If you do pretty good with many killers = you play at an average MMR. High MMR = trial is over in 8 minutes... you cannot do much.

Wrong again!! lol I win way more than i lose and killer has nothing to do at all with MMR which shows how much you know. Since i win more my MMR raises and i have high MMR so you can fall back with that comment.

Again i dont care about how good streamers are i care about how good "I" am! I already know the top streamers are good but im my own person so call it ego or whatever you want. Im "confident" in my ability and thats not a bad thing at all.

Well, all Plague i have faced, some were killer main streamers, still lost the trial with 3 to 4 escapes...

Same for Spirit, but i see he rarely. She is not strong anymore, but sure, still better than a Ghost Face...

Told you why hag is trash, because if you have 4 survivors knowing how to disable her traps without being hit, she is weak.

The only killer doing well at high MMR is the nurse... all other killers are trash getting between 0 and 2k and well, when they tunnel.

Its not fair to say that Nurse is the only killer doing well at high MMR and everyone else sucks. Its not fair and it has no validity. I constantly rank up, pip and or double pip with all my killers Pig included. Everyones different and that statement isnt true. Im alone proof that it isnt true. Btw most streamers dont do what they need to do to win and want to entertain they're followers. Sometimes streamers are taking other build request as well so you cant just go off how "bad" they do 1 game. Everyone has a bad game no matter what killer you have except mastered Nurses

I've disagreed respectfully and explained why, and you kept saying that they are where they should be. You didn't even explain why there is no Killer lower than C, you just said "If they're lower than C, that means they barely get 1 kill" which is what happens at high MMR as Pig or Trapper for example

Actually i did explain why there are no killers lower than C tier but it wasnt general or directed towards you i mentioned it in a reply to someone. There simply are no killers that are THAT bad because they still can bring something to the table agaisnt survivor and will not get completely shut out every game against good survivors. I said that they will barely get a kill "on average" and clearly thats not the case for any killer as they can at least get 2k with brutal killer or even merciless on average, that automatically doesnt make them horrible

Plague is weak against survivors that never use the fountain. She is just a M1 killer even though you are always injured, looping her for 1 minute is not a big deal.

Blight is weak unless you exploit the high DPI play, which is an exploit.

Tried Spirit after the nerf, she is awful. Faced some as well, really easy to dodge.

And Hag is good against noobies but you can remove all the traps doing circles next tot them, she will TP and miss the hit.

Plague is definetly not weak at all even with survivors not cleansing. Try winning or watch how a Plague does with Thanatophobia and Dying Light or Pop. They definetly wont be doing bad like Clown or Ghostface consecutively. Plague is buffed this patch and she is not lower than A.

People dont think for themselves and are just repeating what others think or feel. Spirit is still top tier she's just not as dominant as before because you can hear her now. She's still good at what she does shes just not OP or broken. Still quite a strong killer! You cant say a killer is weak and then NOT bring up points to how they're weak like you just did with Spirit. Tell me why Spirit is low tier (which shes not) in your opinion! Tell me how a top 3 killer goes all the way down to D or F tier like your saying from a few minor nerfs.

Hag is great period. Dont get it twisted, she does body newcomers more easily but she also wrecks experienced survivors as well, depends on add-ons, perks and her approach. Hag is best with Frankilins Demise and MYC so tell me why Hag is not good again

I never insulted you? I just said you're probably playing at low to mid MMR because most of the Killers you placed at A tier are not A tier. You don't have to prove anything, I'm just not going to belive you're playing at high MMR because most of your opinions are factually wrong, like for example that Demogorgon is not consistently better than Freddy and Nemesis, or that no Killer is below C tier.

    Why are you so defensive?

Your opinions are factually wrong? Lol this will keep going back and forth when you say things like that. Wwhat you SHOULD say is that i "dont agree" with your tier list then explain "why" you disagree. All the killers are appropriately placed in they're correct position this includes A and C+ tierings. I already explained why there is no tier below C+ even with boon totems as meta. If you ask me i'll tell you personally how i came to this conclusion. Freddy is better than Demogorgon imo. Am i open to putting Demogorgon higher? Maybe. Right now i dont see him higher than he is but i can keep an open mind.

Imagine telling a top player, pro or someone really strong at a game thay they're playing a at a low level and not a high level and that the only reason why they win is because they are going against nothing but bad players and thats why they win...Its the same thing, you dont know anything about me as a player but instead of disagreeing on a tiering etc and then telling me why your saying im playing at a low MMR and this is why tiers are not valid! lol Right! Thats why im responding to you the way i am. You can disagree and bring up points and im fine with that but telling me im playing low MMR or that i only have 100 hours or whatever some idiot replied to me about how good i am is not the way to go when having a topic discusiion, especially about tiers.

They are all really weak M1 killers. For me they are all tier C.

Blight is Tier A, not higher.

    Everything else i agree.

They are not all C tier killers those killers mentioned are good.We clearly are playing at different levels and or you dont understand this game on the killer side. Do you main killer? Who do you play with if you do, how well do you do with them and at what rank?

I'm not putting words in your mouth. I'm just saying your tierlist isn't that good when talking about high level play, especially with there not being a Killer lower than C+. Noone will say that Trapper or Pig are decent. Everyone will say that they are low tier and can't win at high MMR

Pig and Trapper ARE low tier and placed at low tier but they arent lower than that at high MMR. I said this already but no killer is F or even D tier bad! I play these killers at high MMR and the most that will happen is that i get Brutal Killer at worst. All the C+ killers can get 1k and 4-5 hooks on average. The killers above them can get 2k and 5-7 hooks on average

  • @Phasmamain said:

Clown is 100% better than trapper atm

What makes Clown "100%" better than Trapper. They are both pretty ######### killers but not bad enough where they cant get multiple hooks per game. Trapper is below average and not particulary good but hes not horrible either. Clown chases are a little better than Trappers but Trapper has better map presence because of his traps. Before going to a loop you have to second guess it at times against Trapper because he will trap up the good/most common places. Clown you dont have to worry about that you just hold forward (run) with whatever is the run key on the platform you play!

Let's agree to disagree since we are basing our tier lists based on different things. I base it around high tier play while you base it around low to mid MMR

No dont put words in my mouth, make assumptions then manipulate words to enforce your narrative thats not cool to do! I base my tier list on high level play whether you want to call it high MMR or whatever. I only base things at the highest level. I can easily say and do the same thing your doing but i wont. We either will ask questions to determine how we've concluded things or it just ends here.

Killers are all appropriately placed, everyone outside those killers you mentioned definetly are not C tier. You are probrably basing it off swf but im basing it off balance (swf and non swf) with a number of factors included.

Honestly with Circle of Healing being in nearly every match, Legion is already debatably better than every stealth killer except Tombstone Piece Myers. A lot of Stealth Killer's pressure comes from the fact that they can ambush Survivors and get free hits, so they can't really stay injured. Well CoH makes staying healthy ridiculously simple. Legion doesn't have that issue because... oh they healed? Doesn't matter cause I can scrape that health state off them again in 5s or less.

Beyond that, Pig in particular has the following issues...

    1. Stealth Killer with a power that announces its her. Hello Saw boxes. Survivors see those and then they know they need to be watching for a Pig creeping up on them. Good luck getting any stealth hits with the Survivors on high alert for those shenanigans.
    2. Slowdown that requires a down without a good chase power. Hats are pretty great but they don't come online until you actually manage to down someone. If they manage to catch you out because the Saw Boxes tipped them off and don't run you in a way that you can use Ambush mid chase... you aren't getting any value out of RBT until you get 2 hits as a powerless 1m killer. Good luck with that. Obviously you can bypass that with an Iri addon but if a Killer only becomes decent with an Iri, that's a problem.
    3. RBT Slowdown is both limited and RNG. You can actually theoretically get a hat off faster than you can mend. A box search is the same as a mend but searching a box has skillchecks and if you hit greats, its faster. If you get your hat off in 1 search... well... there goes 25% of your slowdown and you got less out of it than 1 single Frenzy stab that's unlimited. When that happens... bet you wish you were Legion instead.
    4. RBT kills are beyond rare unless you either bring add ons for them or force one by messing with the dude with an active Trap.

Lets just agree to disagree. I say Pig is better than Legion while you say she isnt. Again its debatable but i dont feel like bringing up counter arguments for two weak killers. They are both killers that are not that good. One got nerfed (Pig) while the other remained the same.

Nurse is definitely in a class of her own. She ignores every game mechanic. Yes, some Killers are D and F tier, it's just a fact. Some Killers can't get more than a few hooks against a coordinated team. Tell me how Trapper is supposed to win against a team of coordinated Survivors. He can't. He can maybe get a kill with camping and tunneling but that is it.

Shes not in a class of her own because of her high learning curve. Nurse would only be SS if she was easy to play thus raising her player count of people that play her but shes not. Nurse has been SS tier in the past but not now, remember she got nerfed. Still the best but not in a class of her own because Blight is easier and can get the same snowball effect/results Nurse gets. I dont know why some people say theres F or D tier in this game because its not. Not every survivor you come across is swf, thats the only way killers are F tier. If at least 80% of the survivors were swf then there would be F tier but the game is revolved around survivor (swf w coms, swf without coms & non swf)

There simply is no killers that are THAT bad, not even Clown, Pig, Legion or Ghostface.

I didn't say they were S tier or anything. However I would be very willing to argue that they're better than all 3 of the other killers you have in C+ tier and maybe better or at least similar to the ones you've got in B tier.

That's debatable. I dont think they're better than Pig because Pig doesnt need survivors to be knitted to one space to be effecticient, Legion does. Pig can get a kill just by placing a trap on their head so this requires no effort. Yeah its RNG based but it still ensures the survivor is off the gen. After survivors Mend they're right back on a gen. I think you need specific builds to do well with Legion but they are still rather weak but nonetheless they can win which is why there are no killers lower than Ctier.

  • @FFirebrandd said:

Legion is better than you're giving them credit for. Especially in the new boon meta we're in now.

You can like them but it doesnt change the fact that they are not that good. They're actually "kinda" bad

This is my most recent tierlist, it's not that accurate since Boon: Unbreakable isn't fully in the game yet but I'm going to presume it'll be released to live as it currently is

All your killers except top tiers are way too low. Nurse isnt in a class of her own although she is #1. 2 or 3 poatches ago i would have said different. None of those killers are D or F because they would get wrecked every single game if they are that bad but clearly they are not. Your basically saying these killers cant get more than 2-3 hooks on average and 0-1 kills on average again this is not the case even with swf

  • I disagree with your tier list on the following:

Nurse is broken but she's not extremely game breaking plus she's not easy to pick up at all. It is for that reason Nurse is S tier and not SS!

Spirit is nerfed and no longer top 3 or 4th! She went down because of the nerfs.

There is no D or E (F) tier. There simply are no killers that are that bad. Your killers are lower than what they should be imo.

Why do you think there are F tier characters? What determines a character that bad to you and why do you think Myers and Legion are there in the first place?

Twins get easily countered by Unbreakable and Boon: Unbreakable

Pinhead got his best addons nerfed, his 1v1 is bad and his 1v4 is counterable and meh

They definitely are, their 1v1 are meh (Deathslingers is bad) and their 1v4 is either bad or nonexistent

Demogorgon is definitely A tier and is a better Freddy and Nemesis

Trapper is bad. His power is weak, map dependent and easily countered

I do not agree with you on this. Demigorgon cant do what Freddy or Nemesis does on a consistent basis. While its argurable as to his positioning Demo is not higher than mid tier but quite good in the right hands yeah. Trapper isnt bad, Legion is bad, Clown is bad, those are "bad" killers, Trappers not bad!

Hag and Twins are oppressive in low-tier games, but are easily outplayed by people with a modicum of experience against them. Freddy and Doctor are jokes, and Deathslinger was lower even before the nerf. Insisting they're strong doesn't mean they are when they're provably underperforming.

No they're not they're top tiers! Freddy and Doctotrs are jokes until you run into me at high MMR until then we'll see if they're jokes or not lol.

F tier means that you get 4 escapes every game and get no higher than Brutal Killer every game. There is no killer in the game that is THAT bad! Trapper is pretty low but hes not horrible. He just like Wraith got nerfed ironically. There is no F tier at all

    @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2625279#Comment_2625279

Nemesis doesn't have map pressure or map presence tho. His 1v1 is meh, worse than Huntress and Demo and his Zombies are stuck in a tree 90% of a time

He does you need to pay attention to your zombies at all times and use the zombie add-ons.

  • @ElusivePukka said:

I'd place a chunk of these a tier or two lower, namely Twins, Hag, Nemesis, Freddy, Deathslinger, & Doctor. They each have inbuilt counterplay, and there's specific strats which each have which survivors can adopt for maximum efficiency.

I strongly disagree! Hag and Twins are some of the best/strongest killers in the game, theres no way they are lower. They are in a tier of they're own and other killers dont compare outside of Oni, Cenobite and Huntress. Freddy and Doctor cant be lower than A because they are too solid! Same for Deathslinger. Even nerfed Deathslinger is not lower than that

Good map pressure, good map presence. Once he gets to tier 2 he becomes more difficult the longer the trial lasts. Some may bring up that it takes him too long to get to lv 2 and 3 but not with Marvins Blood! You can even give him the zombie speed add-ons to make them more efficient. Nemesis will always guarunteed to have BBQ so you have to respect him. He got Pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol and his chase is decent.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Twins should be way lower due to Boon: Unbreakable being added, same with Oni but to a lesser degree.

Pinhead should be in low C tier (but you, for some reason, started with C+ Tier being your lowest?)

Nemesis, Freddy Deathslinger and Doctor should be lower. They're all mediocre and not that good

Trickster is definitely lower. His 1v1 sucks at high wall loops and his 4v1 is non existant

Demogorgon is A tier imo, his Portals are great for mobility and map pressure and his Shred is a really good anti loop tool and a great pallet shredder

Pig and Trapper are the worst Killers in the game. Trapper especially is counterproductive and has no slowdown unlike Pig but herbst addons got nerfed so she barely slows down the game anymore

Way lower? lol Twins are OD cheap! They're top 3 for a reason! You cant stop them from slugging and the best thing about Twins is they're ability to snowball and completely destroy a team in an instance notice! Twins are top 3 or 4 easily!!! Same for Oni.

Your either not playing him or going against high MMR Pinheads otherwise you wouldnt say that. Pinhead without a doubt is a top tier killer with the strong add-ons and maybe Hoarder etc. There is no C tier. There is no killer that is that bad!

those killers definetly are fine where they are, they arent lower than that. If you use specific builds and the strong/best addons with those killers they are right below top tier. They're not exactly top tier but they're good. Not mediocre at all. Trapper, Wraith and Pig are mediocre! lol

Hmmm, thats argurable i'll give you that! The reason i dont put him lower is because he can land his daggers in alot of key locations and loops. Demogorgon can be argued to be A tier. The reason i have him where he is is because he cant do what the killers above him can do as they do it better!

Its debatable. I think Legion is worse than them because he really can get broken down. If a team is split up and efficient gg. Pig at least has her in game slowdown which no other killer has which is why i think she's better than Legion. Trapper is in now way the bottom of the game! The fact alone that you can lose to him based off either fear, paranoia, just running or a combination of the 3 doesnt make him the worst killer at all.Plus Trapper just like Hag can trap certain totem locations.

Interesting. A few thoughts from an intermediate player (who watches a lot of streams).

    • Nurse is only top-tier in theory. Even some of the best killers in the world struggle to do consistently well with her, as high level survivors have learned how to juke her blinks. Otz's Nurse 'streak' was one of the hardest he attempted, on par with pre-rework Trapper.
    • Pig and Trapper probably need to switch places. Trapper still really struggles against coordinated groups. Pig is decent on any map that isn't the big 3 (Haddon, Badham, RPD) but gets looped a lot.
    • Trickster should probably be 'B' or 'C' tier. While there are a few players that can make him work, he really struggles against genrushing teams due to how much time he can take to down and hook.
    • Why are Oni and Pinhead 'A' tier? Very curious about these, as you are the first person I've seen to rank them about mid tier.

As to the rest - Wraith needs his nerf reverted, Legion needs a complete teardown rework and Pig just needs...something. Anything to help her against the silly pseudo-infinites on a lot of maps.

    • Nurse is not top tier in theory she IS the strongest killer in the game! She blinks through objects and the master Nurses all play stretch res (im assuming) That's broken! lol. You make a variety of builds with her that are all effective and even her bad maps like Haddonfield and RPD station isnt as bad for her like it is for other killers.
    • Pig and Trapper are in they're proper positions and i'll tell you why since i play both of them at high MMR and a high level in general as well as watching other players use them as well as going against them. They share the same bad maps but Trapper is better on those maps than Pig post patch. He has some advantages that are favorable for him over Pigs advantages due to his Traps which work better than Pigs (Thanks to the nerf of her add-ons which overall nerfed her). Sadly Trapper gets more value from just patrolling as opposed to Pig who cant get gen grabs and the survivor gets distance from a slow Undetectable Pig because of the overuse of Spine Chill. I do think that Pig is better on RPD station over Trapper though for sure
    • Yeah Trickster is placed appropriately at B+. He's your standard mid-tier
    • Oni is very cheap (strong)! Since people are always gonna be injured he exploits survivors by the use of his power. His snowball is really good and he is good at stopping momentum. If a Oni is running BBQ/Infectious Fright/Sloppy Butcher and they're good or at high (red) rank gl lol. Pinhead with his super strong add-on is busted! Add in Hoarder/BBQ/Undying/Ruin etc and he's tough to deal with. They are not placed as mid tier, they're placed at top tier. The A rating/ranking are high mid tiers and B and C+ ratings are low tiers. Pinhead has good map presence

Yeah thats what im saying too! Pig's meta has changed overall due to the nerf to her strong add-ons so theres nothing that can be done there, she's nerfed!

  • I'll try to post the chart

Agree on Billy though. I would say he is my least played killer but I had to do the NWO challenge last night and he had it along with BW and NOED. So I ran those 3 with Lethal (Literally only ran NOED because of the build) and 4k at 3 gens remaining so got the challenge done without using the perks. Still got a message "NOED? 😂🤣🤣 Crutch much".....Seriously you all died at 3 gens and still complain about NOED. Meanwhile all 4 had DH but call me out for a unused crutch.

I just tell people ie survivors that complain about NOED to stfu!

    @Rey_512 said:

Basically everyone not named Nurse, Blight or Spirit.

It’s crazy that only 3 out of like 25 killers are actually viable. If you use anyone else versus a top tier team, you will get wrecked.

Not wrecked but you will certainly struggle! Spirit is not top 3 now btw, Twins are. Twins took Spirits spot or you can argue Oni or Hag. Twins arent S tier though.

    @[Deleted User] said:

Trickster is weak. He struggles to pick survivors up.

    Cant really disagree here

    @Sakurra said:

Yes. Trapper. Survivors can avoid traps, but you can't. If you go there you step in your own trap. Devs should buff traps, not his add-ons. Bigger traps so the survivors can't avoid it. Same as the killer can't avoid them.

Funny thing is Trapper got nerfed and its mostly due to his really good add-ons. Fastening Tools was nerfed as it went from a purple add-on that decreased the chances of a fast escape to the way it is now. Making his traps "a little" bigger would definetly help

    @Acromio said:

No killer is strong. So, every killer is weak.

Theres a game called Dead by Daylight, in this game theres two killers called Nurse and Blight who are complete killers, that is all...

  • Whinny, bratty, entitled kids complain about NOED. IMO its overrated! Strong but a little overrated especially with boons now.

  • Brown Medkits give full heals but not if the killer is stacking dying light. You can fully heal with a brown med kit even when Mangled, you just cant miss any skill checks.

If i bring good items with the good add-ons (unless im running Sabo) I'll put my med kit in a random far off location on the map then come back to it when i need it. Note that when doing this your essentially using a good hiding spot that you dont think survivors would go to check (unless they really are looking to survive then they might find it but at that point if they found my secret hiding spot then they are really looking to survive like i am so i'll go "they needed it") or essentially like burying something valuable, this will deal with Franklins Demise.

If everyone has items and i have a medkit im 100% hiding it somewhere until i need it

yup as the Entitled noed killer mains who tunnel/face camp/hits on hook like immature children because they got 5 gen looped.

That doesnt apply to me my friend you are in your own delusion. Im not speaking for other killer mains but I DO WHAT I WANT, "HOW" I WANT! Your so ignorant you dont know the uses or reason for why people use NOED. Your ignorant to the fact that it can get destroyed just as fast as loading in the trial, destroying a totem(s) in the first 20 seconds of the match. Oh but heres the best part...instead of destroying totems survivors can now instead make it into they're advantage by blessing them! lol

You can fall back with all that, survivors have adrenaline and all these totem cleansing and blessing perks and you have the nerve to complain about NOED...pfffft please!

1 … 6 7 8 9 10 … 12
