People don't understand that it's not supposed to be a max stacks every game type thing. Pentimento mixed with Thana and plaything offers a lot of slowdown even without getting full stacks. If you do get it it's just icing on the cake. But the having to heal and cleansing totems constantly is a ton of just passive slowdown.

I actually really like playing around with the perk.

Theres nothing to understand. You can possiby get some value out of one or two stacks and it will get destroyed and not stay up long. I stack according to the situation. My goal is to stack 5 stacks because of its tremendously strong effects but that doesnt mean that im oblivious to what is going on in the match so agaiun depends on the situation. I play all Hex builds quite often and because of my success with it i can see why all hexes are so annoying for survivor. Thankfully noo one plays my builds or i'd have a harder time. Not that i dont have a hard time sometimes in solo que but it can be worse.

    @BenZ0 said:

I actually try to get use out of the first stack alone, for example Hex plaything, Pentimento and tana.

I dont really go for more then 2 stacks, I just want the gen and heal reduction stacked with tana, which goes then to a 50% repair speed penalty.

Playing a Killer like Plague will get pretty good value out of it, since you are injured constantly if you dont cleanse you dont want to have the oblivious effect of plaything. If ppl start to cleanse and ignore the plaything like that and try to avoid beeing injured I use addons like devotee's amulete to get a longer duration of the power.

Thats a much more fun and less frustrating build imo.

For the ppl who are interested trying out that build on Plague:

Corrupt - Hex: Plaything - Hex: Pentimento - Thanatophobia / Addons: Devotee's Amulette - Infected Emetic (You can use here whatever you like, I used the effectiveness addon but it doesnt matter much what you take there at the second slot)

You can also slap on dying light insted of currupt just for fun.

You can get good value with it with Plague! I empahsize that Pentimento can get destroyed early as a smart survivor will go look for it just like Ruin but i digress. I dont like Hex builds on Pague, i dunno i just dont. With Plague my build that has given me masive success with her in games is

    Scourge Hooks/Pop/Dying Light/Thanatophobia

I have seen your build or something similar used in games before and in each of those matches the Killer had no stacks because of CoH.....when ever the player with CoH found a Hex they booned it over. Resulting in a unbroken totem resulting in the Killers Pentimento being useless.

Your build has a good idea but it only works if no one has CoH and at least 1 survivor has it if not all. If it came out before Boons then it would have a different following.

Read my above repies, your statement about Pentimento and coh is addressed already! That boon with Thrill up is taking very long, also when i find the boon i snuff it out and it becomes a dull totem for Plaything. Therefore "NOT USELESS! )

Huh? I don't care if they get destroyed. Even when I could slap 4 of them down I typically only put 1 at a time. Maybe 2. By the time you are ready to get 4-5 stacks, the game can practically be over. I would rather have 1 stack up for half the game since 30% more for gens is good enough to justify the entire perk slot to me.

Plaything, Ruin is already all 5 totems. There's no reason to have more than that. My 4th perk slot is usually Pop or a tracking perk.

You cant npor shouldnt say that there is "no" reason to have 4 hexes because thats just plain false. Your talking to a person that has played Hex Pentimento builds with different killers for over a month so my feedback and opinions outweigh everyone eses although im not egotistica and i dont dismiss others opinions. That exactly what your statement at the end is and im teling you from all out good experience why i disagree. The problem with 1 stack of Hex Pentimento is that its not gonna stay up long. Plaything/Ruin is not good alone because you'll have survivors that will only care aboyut Ruin and not care about your Playthings, trust me! You know what they DO care about and what will 99% guaruntee they get off a gen? Devour Hope and even Thrill of The Hunt. Blood Favor, Third Seal and Crowd Control are also good picks for a 4th slot.

Its very hard to get 5 stacks with Ruin and Plaything alone and i would never do that. There was only 1 game i had where i got 5 stacks and lost and that was because i messed something up. If you dont mess up it should be game!

    @NemeanXIII said:

Why would survivors break totems outside of challenges or noed and now they just make boons all match meh

Because not every survivor runs COH nor will you get COH players in your lobby "every" game! I mentioned a strategy for this already although its not too consistent finding the boon and hpooking a survivor for Paything somewhat solves this. I use Thrill sometimes too in my Pentimento builds for that very purpose so even though they're booning its taking them a good amount of time to do so. Time spent off gens!

  • @throwaway79465468797 said:

Problem remains that they can boon them for little repercussions

This is not that big of a problem because al you need to do is find the booned totem and snuff it out so it becomes a totem for Hex Plaything. This is also why Thrill of the Hunt is good on Pentimento builds for the booners. Yes they are booning it but its taking them pretty long to do so.

I don't even attempt to go for 5 stacks. Literally 1 stack is already god tier, especially combined with other slowdowns. I do Ruin / Plaything / Pentimento / whatever and it's such a nasty build.

1 stack is not guarunteed a win though, 5 stacks pretty much is. Plus that Pentimento stack can get destroyed at a moments notice, trust me i've been playing Hex Pentimento builds for over a month. I would get 1-3 stacks then not too long after that they start getting destroyed and i lose stacks. Getting 5 stacks is the way to go imo bc you rish Hex Pentimento getting destroyed and there goes your gen regression. The problem people like streamers trying this have is that they dont play all hexes. You need all hexes to synergize plus what if you only have 3 hexes and they decide to destroy your Ruin and after Ruins gone they leave Plaything? This is why a 4th hex perk is crucial to getting 5 stacks easier. That last perk instaed of Corrupt, Scourge hooks, pop etc could be Devour Hope or something. You need to give survivors an incentive to get off gens and Devour Hope will certainly do it. Truth be told though, most games i dont get to 3 stacks of Devour because it always seems to get destroyed foirst but again i dont mind too much because that totem now can be used for Hex: Pentimento stacks! )

Boil Over joins many other things in this game in the "Terrible vs PC killers but godlike vs Console ones" category.

Thats not true at all! What are you trying to say about console players? Thats bs, sorry!

The thing is for console player the new Boil Over is a nightmare. I have seen a different between Console Killers Vs PC Killers when Boil Over is used. PC Killers can easily adjust and move for the sway but Console can't for some odd reason. So it is garbage to console players.

Im a console player and i have 0 issues with Boil Over users, i kill the majority of them actually! When i use Boil Over as survivor i give killers heck so it depoends on the build and player and has nothing to do with console at all!

On a side note: Just slug em! If they go to a high place ignore them and get them later! Only thing you gotta be careful about with Boil Over players is the Boil Over/Soul Guard/Unbreakable combo. THATS really annoying! haha

  • Got 5 stacks of Hex Pentimento on Cronus Penn Asylum with Myers and this is how the match went.

They got Ruin kinda early and the match was going along with me getting hooks and the survivors popping gens. There was a survivor on deathhook and 1 generator left but 5 destroyed totems on the map. I kill the death hook guy then give up on the last gen to rekindle Hex Pentimento and i did this in such a way as to hoping that they wouldnt destroy one before i light up all 5 and success.

3 survivors left and 5 unbreakable totems. I was still confident end game because 2 survivors were injured and one was hovering around ( i think it was swf) So to summarize this i had good exit gates spawn (right down the block lol) and they were struggling to open the exit gates which took a really long time. I micro managed defending or looking out for the exit gates and ended up getting the other 2 while 1 escaped, So a 3k!

Its proof that stacking 5 stacks of Hex Pentimento has nothing to do with the killer and has everything to do with the build and i must say a ittle bit of luck because there was a couple of games where i got 4 stacks and was about to get 5 only for them to destroy a totem right before i light it. It was satisfying because the exit gates were taking really long and there was no way they were gonna escape unless i messed something up which i didnt so all in all Hex: Pentimento builds arent consistent but pretty stisfying depending on when in the match you get the stacks.

I noticed that whenever i did get 5 stacks on a number of occasions it was either end game or close to the end. I can imagine that Billy, Nurse, Blight and Spirit could get 5 stacks of Hex Pentimento a little easier than the rest of the killers bc the rest of the killers are slow

The three perks you mentioned in the OP were:

    1: Unbreakable and or DS

    2: Dead Hard

    Those are definitely MEMEMEMEME perks.

Ok clearly you have low comprehension skills because not once did i mention that those perks are the only perks i play and you just ignored what i said about Sabo. Why do peeopl only look at and read what they want to see and not acknowledge everything else?

Yes I very much run DS and Dead Hard on specific survivors and i play those survivors sometimes then the other times im playing Sabo/Emaphy and etc. You CANT be oblivious to what i just said, i just dont believe your THAT oblivious!

Nice reminds me of my escape against an endgame spirit. 2 e 2 d, instead of going for an easy escape once i confirmed spirit had bloodwarden i went back and saved the person and kept em alive on deathhook via sabo build.

Curious. What Sabo build did you have?

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

I don't actively go for 5 stacks when I use it, but it happened anyways once.

I played plague with thrill of the hunt, thana, plaything, and pentimento.

I got 1 stack early on and it didn't get cleansed and then all the playthings got done so I was able to get all 5. But the point was that they basically had to choose between being Oblivious during corrupt purge or wasting a bunch of time on totems, since thrill and thana stack with each other (if everyone is injured and Thrill is at 5 stacks, it takes 35 seconds to cleanse any totem).

Yeah Thanatophobia is decent on pentimento builds. The problem you have to look out for however is that survivors will rush and power through the gens, yes even with Thanatophobia. So the question is how good is your pressure with no Ruin being up and survivors ability to just plow through the gens? The build "does" waste alot of time if a survivor is commited to booning or cleansing totems so i like it

  • @Kira4Evr said:

The only thing I would change about Noed is that everyone gets the Exposed status effect as soon as the last gen is completed, and not when someone gets hit

No because everyone will know the killer has noed and they would just hide and or play super safe until they find it! No...thats a terrible idea

  • Since the meta is somewhat revolved around booning now NOED has become stronger because of and indirect power creep. At least 85% of your games will have a dull totem remaining in the trial because of this however although NOED has gotten stronger because of power creep it still doesnt see much usage. Why?

Its because there are better "more consistent" perks than NOED. I havent had too much success with noed as sometimes it just gets me a down and a hook but i know it can also be a major gamechanger. Imho NOED is overrated but get @ me!

  • Im very happy with my results with Hex: Pentimento and will be using it alot more. With Nemesis my current build is

Nemesis: w Mikhails Eye & Depleted Ink Ribbon (Zombie add-ons)

    Hex: Pintemento/Ruin/Plaything/Thrill of the Hunt

I think im the only person literally that plays all Hex builds (Yeah i play all hexes outside builds buit around Pintemento) lol

  • @GuyFawx said:

Question why dont you use haunted grounds with it for the extra totem is it because players wont touch totems if they see that pop?

Because Haunted Grounds is not good with Pinemento at all! Haunted Grounds is good with Hex: Retribution and Hex perks "outside" of builds built around Hex: Pinemento.

    @DemonDaddy said:

I look at it from my survivor perspective; it's a poor perk choice and easily countered. Don't think I've seen a killer get more than 2 tacks before putting an end to it.

Like any hex, the impact is more about the skill and mindset of the survivors.

You never went against me thats why! ) 've been running Hex: Pinemento builds for a month now and i trashed the perk but its actually good you just have to be commited to it like i mentioned already.

    @ReikoMori said:

From my perspective Pentimento is a perk that should have existed two years ago where it could really shine. The game as it is now rewards survivors for a slight increase in time invest to bless totems rather than cleanse which ultimately means you may get one or two stacks if survivors are using their head.

As a killer I have more direct ways to handle survivors in terms of perks that are much more effective than Pentimento which relies on survivors to take an action. My games rarely have people who do totems even when I do run more than one hex perk and when I am playing survivor the first thing I tell every lobby is I have boon totems and usually I'm not the only person with boons so I've had a lot of games where one or two totems get cleansed usually at endgame while we just played slightly slower to bless over hexes which has rarely resulted in a loss so far.

That's my experience. Though, I can see it being something that absolutely eats up newer players who have the "break all the things" mindset cause funnily enough new players will do the dang bones!

You can play the way you play and choose the perks you wanna choose, that has nothing to do with the fact that just becuase there are stuff thats better that its "bad" to run stuff outside of it because clearly with Pinemento its a big deal if you get 5 stacks. I have a counter to the so called counter and if they start booning then i have to find that boon as fast as possible and turnb it into a dull totem, for Plaything! Booning is bad for Pinemento builds but not something that cant be worked around. I also totally disagree with your statement about it only being good against weak survivors, thats just not the case

  • @Evan_ said:

You are still wrong about it.

At least about it's spelling if nothing else.

    Fixed....anything else you wanna add!?...

  • Perks tiers are just fine i have no problem with them at all just leave them alone, let it go people geeze!

  • Finally i got 5 stacks of Hex: Pimento!!

After two straight weeks of playing mostly all Hex builds i got to 5 stacks with Twins!

Hex: Pimento/ Hex: Ruin/Hex: Plaything/ Hex: Devour Hope

Unfortunately i lost that game since i got the stacks really late game and 3 escaped but i now know and have a staple Pinimento build.

I think the problem with people like Tofu who is attempting to get 5 stacks but have not had success is that he and other players like him are stubborn and only looking at things one way. He's a great player and im not taking anything away from him but he thinks that getting 5 stacks has to do with the killer hes using and not the actual build.

I've gotten 4 stacks a couple of times with Pig and Trapper so it has absolutely nothing to do with the killer you have but the build. His problem (Im just using Tofu as an example so please dont confuse this for me shi**g on him its just constructive critisism) is that he's not playing with good Pimento builds. Hes using Corrupt and etc when he should be running all Hexes. He has that complex very similar to the streamer Trutalent who wont do what it takes to win for WHATEVER reasons these guys dont do or like what it takes to win regardless of they're reasoning (which most cases they say is boring or that they're annti tunnel...lol)

To get 5 stacks you have to dedicate a build around Pimento so with that said again you need to run 4 Hex perks. Pinemento/Plaything/Ruin are staples then the 4th perk should be either, Devour Hope, Third Seal, Blood Favor, Crowd Control or Thrill of The Hunt

  • @BoriskyTheFox said:

The answer is DS and BT

I think they should make DS, BT and Unreakable base kit for survivors. Survivors shouldnt be forced to waste perk slots just because they might play against tryhard tunneler & camper killers.

Borrowed Time / Prove Thyself / We're Gonna Live Forever / Circle of Healing.

Miss me with your selfish MEMEMEMEMEMEME perks.

Lol what? You know WHY i run me, me , me perks? Its because im constantly being let down by survivors! I play super well and the killer hooks me at the end and my teammates just leave with no effort to save! Nah.....F that im plus i dont even play with so called me, me , me perks because My Sabo builds revolve around saving survivors only sometimes to die for it (or them) Sabo/Breakout/Breakdown/Empathy

I can care less about casual players complaining to me about xy & z im super competitive so im not trying to hear none of that, you should see my reply messeges to people lol

Look at the game! lol Bad maps, boons, body blocks, bt's, its no wonder why more people are playing this way (tunneling, slugging and camping hardcore) look at how disadvantage this game is for killer. They/we dont care about how pleasant the survivor experience is or not, we dont care about what people think so long as we win or at least draw and survivor loses!

I can see Kindred for sure but Windows isnt a good solo que perk imo at all its good for knowing where the good loops are but thats a personal thing and does very little to nothing to raise your survival % or rate.

Neither? lol Those are my personal perks for solo que so obviously your gonna have a different answer.

Bro…big shout out to @Otzdarva for dropping the 10 game escape streak vid, earlier this week. In it, he explained how underrated Clairvoyance is. First of all I didn’t even know how to use the damn perk. All this time I thought it was a boon, and kept forgetting to try to use it. It’s a great perk to have in solo que, for when you encounter really bad teammates. The ones that ragequit or give up on hook when they run into Pinhead or The Artist with the new meta perks.

You just need to cleanse a totem, and if you happen to be the last survivor- hold the ability button to channel the aura of the hatch. Now as we know hatch is considered a “Draw” now, but I’ll take it over the alternative- being sacrificed for a loss. This is most satisfying when you get screwed over by MMR during non-peak hours.

Clairvoyance has a range of 64 meters! So if you’re in the middle of the map, you’ll definitely see hatch from where you're standing. This is much better than Open-Handed and Left Behind. You get further the distance for the price of one perk. The only caveat is you only get 10 seconds of aura reading per cleansed totem, so use sparingly. I wonder if Open-Handed would extend it to 70 meters (really not needed)?

Oh- also good for games where you had good teammates but not so nice killers, like a tea bagging Ghostface slashing you on hook, even though you were respectful. Feels really good to jump in a hatch right in front of their face for being cocky.

Good point! Its gotten to a point where i was so demoralized and desperate that i started running Open Handed/Bond and Kindred together. When i got disappointed at the results with those perks i've tried Left Behind with a key. Yeah so my survivor experience most of time has caused me to just concentarte on myself and endgame bc im expecting to have atrocious teammates, you know the teammates that make ALL the wrong descisions lol I'll try out Clarivoyance later, thanks!

ps: As you can tell i have 0 faith in people lol

Eventually he stepped in a trap I set at the beginning of the match that no one stepped in. When I put him on the hook I did the slow, intimidating 180 degree turn so he saw my face when he was being sacrificed.

Nicely said! Im the same way, i'll ignore the cheaters until i either catch them which usually means they are bad at cheating or just let them be until the end where i can hopefully catch them.

"Ignoring" survivors is actually a legit strat.

I'll ignore Boil Over users that pick certain maps and go to the high buildings (I know about this start already and ready to counter it) and leave them for the end, cheaters (until or hopefully i catch them) and Sprint Burst users (Make them waste they're Sprint Burst and I'll get them when they're exhausted or outpositioned)

I had a game against a nurse that ended with the nurse getting first hook in the basement, 4 gens left and the killer decided to proxy camp the survivor, I decided to just quit, I wasn't in the mood for that type of lazy gameplay. I had another game where I had to wait for a demo to find the hatch first before hooking me, because he was afraid I would wiggle off, before any killer mains comment, no I did not have a wiggle build. I just can't figure out why killers are so desperate for 4ks, are the devs giving away cash prices, when did this game become so toxic, can I get a normal game without killers playing like there lives depend on it

I can only speak personally. Im very "sweaty" as they call it these days (lol smh) and i want a 4K every single game. Im super cometetive though and everyone should not be like me. With that being said 4K raises your MMR for "that" respective killer. It makes no difference to me if players like you who cant hack it just quit the game but i always found it funny. This falls into that entitlement discussion where survivors (and this is not just DBD but in competition in general) dont like the way someone plays so they rq, and i say to that they act like spoiled little children who cant get they're way.

This game is in survivors favor, how much in survivors favor is debatable but you really cant come down on people for playing the way they want to play, whether it seems overexcessive to you or not. I main killer but the issue i have playing as survivor is that everytime i play my Descisive survivor the killer so happens to respect my DS but when i DONT have DS the killer doesnt respect and just tunnels me! Not saying anything about it its just one of those things that are annoying so to remedy this im just gonna play my DS survivor more.

So in summary, 4K's raise your MMR and also there are players like me who hate survivor so much (being put on bad maps constantly, Boil Over strats etc) that we want that 4K which is personal.

1- they aren't. Plenty of tournaments have console teams or cross platform teams. The issues for console players typically stem from communication or latency/connection issues. It's not that console players are gated from participating. Teams are just less likely to take on a player at a higher risk of disconnecting and incurring a point penalty. As I always say, there are always tournaments happening. People just only hear about the larger ones

2- It would be impossible to police and enforce a "solo" tournament, for one. The level of play would be lower on the survivor end, and I would imagine there would be fewer player sign ups.

3- There's zero barrier of entry for competitive play. There's a huge range of skill between round 1 fodder and teams that consistently make the finals. I've seen players with as little as 500 hrs. You literally join a discord and find a team.

4- Depends on the organization. There are many out there and they all have slightly different rules.

    Thanks for the response!

I think the crucial point of contention between you and PlaysByShady here is that while what you say may very well be true, you have objectively no way of knowing whether it actually is true.

If you play Nemesis more than other killers or win notably more often with him, and have gotten many wins in recent time, it is plausible that Nemesis is your most highly-rated killer and might also very well have a high rating in general... but while this is a plausible assumption, it is still just that, an assumption, since you have no proof and without having dev insights or cheat software that allows you to see your MMR, cannot have proof.

What if the matchmaker in the last two weeks for some reason has kept pairing you with very low MMR survivors, and despite killing all of them, you never gained much rating doing so? Your Nemesis would not be high MMR, neither would the opponents you face, and your Nemesis might not even be your personally highest-rated killer. How can you know this is not the case?

Sure the system would be failing in your case, but you wouldn't know whether it's the matchmaker or the rating system that causes it to fail. Or neither - what about the possibility that you are simply so good that the system cannot give you equal opponents, at least not in your region and at the times you played?

Or what if your Nemesis started at a low MMR, and despite having killed most survivors in 25-28 matches in a row, you still haven't climbed very far since MMR adjustments take more matches? How do you know that 25-28 wins in a row are definitely enough to gain a significant amount of MMR?

I think most of all the point Shady was trying to make is, we cannot see our MMR value, so we have no way of knowing our MMR value and should not base any arguments on such knowledge as if it were absolute, since it isn't.

So in other words me winning consecutively and playing Nemesis at high MMR doesn't exist because i cant see the numbers and so thus its invalid is pretty much a summed up statement to what you said and if that is not the craziest thing then i don't know what is. So from your perspective "he (Edilibs) "could be telling the truth or he could be lying but i think hes telling the truth but if he is telling the truth it doesnt matter because we cant prove that hes playing at a high MMR with Nemesis because there's no numbers from the devs to prove it!

LMao Wow.....just wow. I sum all that up to insanity but thats just me.

So if thats the case then why bring MMR up at all? Its the most stupidest thing and the devs are making us argue or banter over nonsense because both people like me and people like you are never gonna see eye to eye on this. Honestly you sound like Truetalent who says "Oh" Otzdarva got 50 wins in a row and he only got that because he went against weak survivors all 50 games lol

You see how crazy that sounds?

If i win its because survivors are ######### which means i have no skill, no strategies, im not outplaying anyone im just going against garbadge 100% of the time. Thats exactly what you and Truetalent are saying which is absolute crockery! So if i lose 30 times straight i must be playing at a high MMR right? Because me awinning that many games means absolutely nothing because theree are no numbers so we are gonna assume that im garbage and that survivors were THAT much better than me to the point where i get outplayed 30-50 games in a row! lol

Oh man. The mentality of players in this day and age is so linear and weak. All you new age gamers think the same which isnt saying much and its honestly extremely frustrating trying to get you all to see the light of reason. Im done sir, feel free to think whatever you like , i personbally think MMR is horrible and the devs should just go back to pairing up ranks with the old system, this is just way too dumb with both sides invalidating one another while the devs are in the background laughing and taking our money lol

    Im done!

    DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All i know is i've gotten 25-28 wins straight with Nemesis with my newest build with him and within the last two weeks! Survivors literally cant do anything!

All IM saying is that i play at a high MMR WITH NEMESIS, and that atm my highest MMR killer is Nemesis since i play him the most. Theres not one person that can argue with this and tell me im wrong!

Clown did in fact get nerfed and even lost one of the buffs he had on the PTB, so I'll give you that. Don't know what they were thinking there.

However, Pig actually got buffed. Amanda's letter used to reduce your available RBTs by 3, so you'd have 1. Now it reduces it by 2, so you have 2. Decent buff honestly. Last will is a similar story. Last Will made Pig faster while ambushing but at the cost of taking longer to charge ambush. That downside to charge time got cut in half so it is also a buff.

Yeah i got that about Pig now. Too bad she still sucks haha.

Why do you think Blight and Nurse was untouched and characters like Myers not buffed?

    @TAG said:

It means Letter only takes away two RBTs instead of three like it originally did. Granted, that part is poorly written.

    Right, got it, thanks!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Pig was not nerfed, she was buffed. Now you get an extra trap than before with amanda's letter and you can charge ambush quicker with Last will.

Clown's robin feather also didn't get nerfed, it's cooldown reduction got increased.

Amanda's Letter: Decreses availiable Brear Traps by 2 (was 1)

Are we both interpreting this the same?

Last Will your correct about Last Will actually.

    Clown is nerfed overall

Honestly... I wonder why I bother sometimes...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2770175#Comment_2770175

"My critique of the individualised nature is that it treats the game as 4 1v1s happening simultaneously."

In what sense now? It treats them as 4 separate 1v1s in terms of determining a win/loss for each survivor. You're saying it should assign a win/loss to the team overall... so if 2 survivors escape, that's a win, even though they lost 1/2 the team escaping?

TBH, it's an idea and I see the merit in it (the survivors who died surely did contribute to the success of those who exited), but only if you're looking at games individually. When you look at games overall (i.e. a predominant trend for any player), if the player concerned is as good as they're supposed to be, they'll inherently escape more often too and their ranking will necessarily adjust to the right place, regardless of the deaths in the minority of their matches.

I don't see how it'd change things overall, and I suspect this was explored and dismissed already.

"Better players do not have answers to a facecamping Bubba."

I literally already answered this directly and you've completely ignored what I've said, whilst quoting the post I said it in. I see the problem here. Sadly it's yours to resolve.

It not about winning or losing a argument but i back my statements up with facts! You got the right one with me because i dont just lay down for anyone or let them invalidate me as a player so do, carry on!

  • Wheres the substance to this thread? Whats the point? Serious question btw

I'm not trying to confuse things, I'm just highlighting a knowledge gap, and also the fallacy of undistributed middle. Ultimately, *I just asked a question as to how you know what you said you know*. That's not a challenge, unless your position is that your assertions are beyond question - which I will definitely challenge!

You say you play Nemesis a lot. Fine, I believe you.

You say you win a lot (most of the time). Fine, I believe you.

You say therefore your MMR is increasing. Fine, I believe you.

But where you say your MMR is highest for Nemesis... now I've got to ask, how do you know, given that you don't see the numbers, and given that (by your own assertion) you're going against players you can easily stomp?

It's just as plausible (perhaps more so) that your MMR - for whatever reason - started out low, and whilst it is rising, you're still in the territory of players you can stomp.

Easy, i know 100% for sure because i do the best with Nemesis! I dont and havent done as well with my other killers as i have with Nemesis, its THAT simple. I cant "stomp" survivors for two weeks straight. So according to your logic im playing at a low MMR bc im 4king and 3king for absolutely nothing and its having 0 effect on my MMR and so my MMR is low! lmao see how that makes no sense?

My MMR is highest with Nemesis because no one knows me better than me and im playing at a high MMR because of my undefeated streak (2 weeks straight) Anything else?

  • @PlaysByShady said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2769813#Comment_2769813

How do you know (i.e. for a fact, rather than supposition) that your Nemesis didn't start off really low, and is just taking a while to get to the level where you're going against opponents who are similar to your skill in reality?

Lol how did i know that someone was gonna challenge what i say to confuse things! hahah

Well i play multiple killers and out of all those killers i do the best with Nemesis. Second with Doctor and Third with Twins. Therefore, since i've been using Nemesis mostly with this new build i have not lost for two weeks straight. If two weeks worth of playing and not just playing "winning" constantly 4king with some 3k's isnt raising my MMR i dont know what will. Have you actually aid attention to what i was saying? Aall 4ks and 3ks for two weeks staright playing everyday! I play at a very high MMR my friend dont hate..

Its really dumb at this point, why do people want to constantly challenge what i say like im crazy or something? lol btw this is the issue with MMR since its invisible so your gonna have people saying all types of wild stuff and going against you bc of they're own insecurities, lack of skill, lack of ability etc

PS: Im really strong in DBD )

  • All i know is that my highest and high MMR killer is Nemesis! I've played for two weeks straight and have not lost a single game ie 4k's and 3k's (Yes i play crossplay) Survivors no matter who they are cannot stop by Nemesis its actually crazy!

  • I've always wanted them to buff Distressing from 26% extended terror radius to 28%, thats all! The only killer that can fully utilize perks like Unnnerving Presence/Overcharge and Distreressing is Doctor

I think hes ez mode there if you get t2 in the first 30 seconds

    RIP Marvin's blood

That's not true but ok. I stopped using Marvins Blood awhile ago, i use zombie add-ons instead. Even with Marvins Blood and getting t2 early its not guarunteed.

Your perspective? You immediately started calling everyone babies, crying, bad at the game, etc. That's not how you have an honest discussion. That's what I expect out of endgame chat.

Nemesis is easy mode on the Game. I enjoy seeing Jigsaw map offerings when I'm playing him because T2 just destroys the entire map. He's the best pallet buster in DBD. Plague has a rough early game but goes ham later on and can capitalize harder on the removed pallets more than pure M1 killers can - she catches up damn fast with Corrupt and can take out several people at once. While the Game is an indoor map, it's probably the least cumbersome for Corrupt Purge. Wide middle and all of the low walls work in her favor.

Wraith, though... Wraith depends on the survivors screwing up on this map. He was better before the lunge nerf, but now his antiloop element doesn't work and he doesn't threaten smart survivors into dropping pallets until they absolutely need to. If they'll drop pallets while he's cloaked, you're okay. Same if the survivors are lost, super altruistic, or just bad in general. Otherwise, I'm not buying your "I'm just really good at the game and you all need to get on my level" argument. A Wraith against competent survivors on the Game that greed pallets and prioritize gens is highkey screwed. Blocking the nearest pallet and going for the old hit and run at gens doesn't work with CoH.

I've had good games with Wraith on the Game, but it was never because I was a galaxy brain Wraith, it was because the survivors threw me enough bones to work with.

Just wanted to say that Im a Nemesis main and in no way is The Game "easy mode" for him at all. You very much have to put in work to win on that map! Not horrible like other maps (RPD Station, Red Forest to name a few) but not good at all either.

A couple of days ago I used Thrill of The Hunt, Undying and Ruin. In the first 30 seconds I lost Undying and Ruin. After another 30, I lost Thrill of The Hunt...

Why do you have Hex for so long?)

The thing about all Hexes is that you have to keep playing them to see the value in running a all Hex build. You may have one bad game and based off what your saying its your first time comitting to using them. Keep playing them and you'll notice that your games will get better. It really depends on what your aiming for with your all Hex build as well. First off you cant just run 3 Hexes and expect results, you need to commit to it ie have a full Hex build, thats one. Two I would combine Devour with that build!

I actually run Undying/Ruin/Devour/Thrill wih Freddy and im doing better than i do with my conventional builds with him (Scourge hooks, Pop, Corrup etc) You need the right combination. I strongly recommend using Retribution/Haunted Grounds and Thrill together as they work great. Hex: Pimento needs to be paired with Plaything for it to be effective then if you want Ruin & Thrill of The Hunt. This is my Nemesis build and i've been dominating with him for 2 weeks straight with not one loss. This is also mostly in part to the fact that i run Nemesis cheap add-ons and i ditch Marvins Blood, which most people use and instead use Depleted Ink Ribbon and Mikhails Eye so my zombies are preficient and so while they're cleansing or even booning my Zombies are there to interrupt them which i can imagine is super annoying to the survivor(s) then if they are on it its taking awhile to cleanse. I must admit too that i dont think all Hex builds are good on certain killers like Hag but thats just my opinion, i think she does better with non Hex builds like MYC, Corrupt etc.

    Who are you using atm?

Blood Favor I actually got a lot of mileage out of that match. It was Dead Dawg saloon, so it actually manged to cover a fairly large amount of pallets with each hit. Crowd Control probably wouldve been better on a map with more windows, its a huge help with LT walls. The Third Seal I know is completely countered by SWF, but its a perk I have a soft spot for so I run it anyways. Retribution likely wouldnt have worked with my build, since I was making sure to not let survivors cleanse totems. Maybe next time I'll make the last perk Devour Hope or something next time.

Retribution is actually one of the best Hex perks and i certainly will go well with your builds! Lets face it, your not gonna be able to defend totems every game so although Blood Favor and Crowd Control will work for you initially, it probrably wont in the longrun because the survivors will power through the gens anyway, depends on how good you are at pressuring. When i tried Blood Favor and Crowd control all the survivors did was hold run to a loop that wasnt effected by either so i dunno, i probrably will never use those Hexes again or maybe very rarely but i've been having so much success in games without them that i dont see myself switching to weaker Hexes

  • Eh theres worst maps than The Game. There are actually some builds that mitigates the difficulty of the map some. Overcharge/Unnerving Presence/ Distressing with Doctor for example is still good on The Game. Red Forest, The New map (Artist), and Ormand are worse than Gideon meatpacking Factory (The Game). Those maps are absolutely horrible for killer!

After seeing this post I did a demo all hex build. Ruin, Blood Favor, Third Seal, and Crowd Control. Ran the lifeguards whistle and placed portals at the totems. Cant say that match went particularly well, but I had fun anyways.

Hmmm in my humblest most honest opinion i dont think Blood Favor, Third Seal and Crowd Control are too good at all. In most cases the survivor is just gonna run to another loop and or vault location, so you wont get much value from the window and pallet Hexes. I was a big fan of Third Seal and yes no one likes blindness but experienced skilled survivors manage to work through it and Third Seal doesnt effect them to much and this is not including SWF whom completely counters Third Seal.

Go for better all Hex builds next time with Demo. Retribution got buffed and i cant tell you how much value i've gotten from Retribution in numerous games. Its best when paired up with Haunted Grounds but is fine with other Hexes like Undying and Thrill of The Hunt. My Hex Pimento all Hex build games have been going fantastic and i've had no complaints at all, even the games where they destroy all my totems its just a matter of closing out the kills at that point so im never in a really bad spot.

I've played with Hex: Pimento Nemesis for nearly 2 weeks straight and have not lost (I actually thought i was gonna lose a game with him earlier on Lery's and i was like thi smay be the game i finally lose but i ended up coming back with strong pressure)

Nemesis with Hex: Pimento/ Ruin/ Plaything/ Thrill of The Hunt and the zombie addons have gotten me nothing but success and ggs. Coincidenally Nemesis is my high and highest MMR killer!

Havent gotten 5 stacks but was close the other day with 4 stacks and was about to get the 5th one but they destroyed my Plaything right as i was about to rekindle the broken totem.

  • @Chordyceps said:

Usually the most hex perks I'll ever run in a build is 3, then I'll make my last perk one that can be active/activated consistently. I typically stay away from builds with too many hexes though, cause it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to have to manage both totems and generators.

Overwhelming? Not if you run hexes like Retribution/Haunted Grounds/Thrill/Undying or Devour. This build alone makes it a big hinderance to boon survivors because it takes so long to bless totems whivch of course means more time spent away from repairing a generator. All Hexes are actually good, how good is debatable but you should try it sometimes

It is probably because his addons are getting ready to be nerfed I would guess.

Yeah no more 100% movement speed zombies and instead it will be 85% movement. Im ok with that. The casuals/novices must have been complaining so the devs are nerfing some of his add-ons, go figure! lol

Mikhails Eye is really good and i've been using that along with the purple add-on, Depleted Ink Ribbon. With Depleted Ink Ribbon and Mikhails Eye, zombies be on point! They're detection range is increased by 4 meters and they're FOV is increased by 18 meters or something like that. My zombies put in work! )

  • I've played this Hex: Pimento build for two weeks straight and have not lost with Nemesis once. At worst 1 escapes.

    Nemesis:

Hex: Pimento/ Plaything/Ruin/Thrill of the Hunt

Its so strong! Btw speaking of Nemesis theres been an increase of Nemesis players! I go against him more than any other killer these days. Hes good but it has to be more than that.

  • Im glad killers are finally starting to play like me and others like me and not care and do absolutely everything in they're power to secure kills (ensuring ppl get to 2nd hook state from neglegance etc) The devs over the last year or maybe longer have been making DBD increasingly more difficult for killer (boons, nerfs to certain killers, very bad maps for killer etc) so its no wonder he game is taking a very unhealthy direction, the dev's made it this way!

Personally and thankfully im good enough at this game where i can beat survivors (3 or 4 k) with multiple builds with various killers so im not complaining too much or as much as everyone else but its always an uphill.

Playing "fair" getting 0 kills is probably not anything a killer should be happy about, or get points for? Should the entity be happy with a killer who can't kill? I think it's fair that a killer should be judged on number of kills, not hooks or how many pallets was kicked etc.

Question! If i run Rancor/Remember Me/NOED/Blood Warden or No Way Out and i hardcore tunnel the Obsession then go for another secure kill after he's dead thats healthy? Dont get me wrong i can care less and play the way i want and others should and "do" the same but hooks is obviously a bigger indicator of skill. A loss is a loss however, even if i get 8 hooks (everyone on deathhook) and they all escape its a loss! If 2 escape its a draw.

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 12
