There needs to be something in place against tunneling rather than borrowed time and ds, why do I get punished just because I chased you around for 4 gens...split off and get people off the gens! Even I know this as the killer. But yet there's that one guy that ruins your game by going for you right when you get off the hook everytime.

This game is survivor sided as all hell, you dont get to play the power role and try to handicap the weaker side with imaginary rules.

It sucks being tunneled, but killers have to do it sometimes.

What are some of your memories from when you first started playing the game?

I remember learning with a friend and I had to tell her to use the wraith instead of the huntress to train me because the humming creeped me out.

First started playing survivor in the game, I had no clue what to do. I didnt know skill checks made noise, I didnt know how to gesture, I barely knew how to work on a gen. I quit playing because I was scared that I was letting my team down.

Seems like you are just unlucky..

i don’t encounter those map more frequently and I think the devs stated the chances for the new maps are higher in the first week after the update, chances decreasing daily and are normal after the 7 days..

Literally, 8 out of my last 10 have been one of those, and that's just tonight, it's been like that since the update

  • @Angelicus23 said:

wow I wish I had that luck, last time I palyed with my friend we got midwich 4 times in a row without offerings

Then they must have something bugged, because nearly every match I've got is one of those three. I like them, but not every match, never thought I would miss corn.

  • @TimeyWimeyStuff said:

So, as a Myers Main im "trying" to learn, how to play Nurse and Huntress, but every single Time the Survivor notice that im a Baby Killer (with Nurse and Huntress) and bully the S**t out of me. Either that or i just get some compassion points. Thats so frustrating. How should i ever be able to learn these two Killers?

    Cheers♥

Because survivors are the real monsters. The only power they have is what you give them. If they're bullying, use it as practice, you're going to lose a lot, so dont get tilted.

Nope. That isnt fair, as killers would just tunnel the first hook out of the game. Ds needs a rework, not a nerf.

Now you understand the bull crap conditions that killers have to meet for their perks to actually work.

I love how on killer side nothing should be free, because reasons, but on survivor side, they need it to be free because of what the killers might do.

Hell, pop should just have a 40 second cooldown and no conditions for activation, because without it, survivors just rush gens.

  • @StarLost said:

Killers and survivors, do you have that one special character you love to play, or do you mix and match?

How do you specifically like to play them?

For me, it's the Hag. I enjoy Doctor, Bubba, Spirit and trying to learn Freddy (just...can't grasp him) - but I always come back to my Blair Witchy love. So much fun, so many jumpscares administered, just a ball all round.

    How about you?

I play every killer, but if I absolutely need a win, I am going doc. I'm also deadly with deathslinger and hag.

And DS can only be used once.

Pop can be used 12 times.

    That's 25% times 12 off gens compared to a 5 second stun.

By your logic that's 240 Seconds, compared to a 5 second stun.

Again, you're not seeing the survivors as a collective and you're ignoring distance and loops. Sure if they run in a straight line to nowhere, it's not much, but they dont.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1621767#Comment_1621767

Corrupt is a what? You mean it doesn't give you 2 minutes of time just only patrol 4 gens instead of 7?

And what's your point on Pop? DS requires the survivor to get hooked, a 5 second stun doesn't compare to 25% regression on a generator.

Corrupt is a zoning tool, it brings survivors to you, but you can still only chase one person at a time, allowing the other three to work on gens.

You're also not thinking about the people that hide and wait it out.

Sure it does, because pop takes 20 seconds off a gen, so 5 seconds of stun, plus the time to run them back down, plus a new loop. Pop gives you 20 seconds, ds can give them well over a minute.

    @Nicholas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1621767#Comment_1621767

That's your opinion but the game disagrees. It didn't prove anything, those perks can extend the tunnel. You said stop which means a cessation, extend is postpone. DS extends the tunnel, but it certainly doesn't stop it. There are no perks to stop tunneling. And your last statement is also wrong but you lost credibility when you said those perks stop tunneling.

I always know that I've torn someone to shreds when they're using literal definitions in an attempt to look smart.

This is all about a win condition. If you tunnel through all of the anti tunnel perks, you lose as killer. If you rush through all of the gen rush perks, you still win as survivor.

Thus survivors have the tools to stop tunneling, but killers dont have the tools to stop the gen rush.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

    Literally not the same.

There are a lot of perks that halt a survivor's ability to "tunnel" gens....

Pop, Corrupt, Thrilling Tremors, Ruin etc.

And only 1 or 2 perks that halt the killer's ability to halt tunneling. DS and maybe Borrowed Time.

Please stop it with " hook and run immediately to the gen while protected by DS, wanting to take that generator out of the game as fast as possible without wasting time healing."

What else are they suppose to do? Run to you and a locker so you can complain about it after?

    Come on.

Corrupt is a zoning tool, thrilling is an information perk. Ruin doesnt stop a rush, and pop requires hooks.

    @Nicholas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1621695#Comment_1621695

Again, where are these tools to stop tunneling? That is what my reply to you was about.

If The Killer wants to tunnel, he will succeed. Even if everyone stopped to help, which would come at a great cost to the objective. Those perks don't deny, they delay the inevitable. The Killer is not entitled to a Hook until he actually hooks. And that's a win according to you, not everyone agrees especially the fourth Survivor. Some people will play as one.

That's true about The Killer's investment in that chase but it's a chase he chose to engage in. The distinction is that after someone is rescued and you avoid interacting with them for X seconds doesn't regress your previous chase and hook progress with that specific Survivor. On the other hand, if a generator is regressing, a Survivor has to return to protect it from further regression. Tunneling Survivors would obviously be mandatory if after so much time, hook states are restored.

I don't care how that 4th survivor feels, if you want to be 1v1, you need to play killer. Fact remains that survivors are a collective.

With that statement, you've proved my point that survivors have the tools to stop tunneling, but killers dont have the tools to stop the gen rush.

If killer chooses to tunnel, survivors can make him lose. If survivors choose to rush, killers cant make them lose.

  • @Nicholas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1619954#Comment_1619954

What are these wonderful tools that stop The Killer from tunneling? There is nothing that stops The Killer from tunneling. You can use Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Head-on, flashlight save, pallet stun and The Killer will still tunnel you relentlessly.

As far as tunneling generators is concerned, that doesn't make sense. The Killer can regress a survivor's investment in a generator. There is no mechanic or perk that can undo hook States. So it's not like if you ignore a Survivor for so long, that previous Hook is invalidated. On the other hand, a generator at 99% can regress all the way to zero. So it makes sense that a Survivor would want to protect their investment.

With that said, tunnel to your heart's content. It's not against the rules, you're free to tunnel and slug anyone but just remember that sometimes people may be prepared for those moments.

If you tunnel through all of those, you lose. Survivors have this idea that they are one, but they are in fact 25% of one. If one dies and three get out, that's a win.

Every one of those perks denies a hook state. If a killer has you, and you dead hard to a pallet, you just regressed his investment in that chase. So no, you cant undo a hook state any more than killer can undo a finished gen.

Kind of pathetic for survivors to have comms, at least my pathetic thing is actually part of the game and not a 3rd party app.

Yeah killers totally dont have slow down perks for gens, and perks, add ons and powers for kill rushing survivors. Ffs it's like killer mains dont even actually play the game.

Against a quality survivor team, you'll never get a chance to use them, and they're so ineffective that they barely make the game playable. You shouldn't need two perks just to make the game work right.

    @siren_sorceress said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1620390#Comment_1620390

Unbreakable doesnt extend chase unless you're dumb enough to slug or tunnel. Dont like bt? Grab them off the hook or hit them down before and after they unhook. It's actually that simple.

Ah the mindset of a green rank killer. Yeah, good luck with that in red ranks.

  • @hillbillyclaudmain69 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1620390#Comment_1620390

Old ruin needs to be brought back. But pop, dying light, and surge, you should have to work for them. If youre a good killer then those are good perks.

And what work are survivors putting in on the meta and the gen rush? That's the problem with this game and why killer is so stressful, killer is expected to work for absolutely everything, and survivors are given everything for free.

I want dead hard to have a condition like "after successfully evading a killer, recieve one token", and ds should be "after safely unhooking a survivor, ds activates on your next unhook."

  • @ringwinning said:

    Do you camp?

Whether it be for strategy or just to facecamp for fun or anything of the sort. No judgment, I'm just curious how many killers do consciously camp.

I dont go into a match planning to camp, but if you want to sit your happy ass on gens, waiting until the last second to unhook, I will for sure punish that.

If I need someone gone to win, i will camp.

How are there tools to stop tunneling that killers dont have to stop gens? There's ds, but theres also pop, surge, ruin, and dying light.

Ds, dh, unbreakable, bt all extend chases. Pop needs hooks, which are hard to get on a rush, ruin is craptastic because its unreliable, dying light is a joke that requires a ton of hooks. Surge is a decent option, but again, requires a down and has a ridiculous cooldown.

Literally the only counter to gen rush that killers ever had was old ruin, and we all know how that went. Everything else is about late game snowballing.

I have nothing against that guy but he shouldn't have started ranting on twitter.

Just like a lot of people said, if you know that the perk is bug why use it? You are using it even though it's bugged.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Aryun can dish it out, but he cant take it. Saw him get fuming mad when a killer was slugging and playing toxic, but his whole career is about bullying killers for content.

Unless you're facing a 4 man swf team with all purple tool boxes.. If you're getting gen rushed its usually the killers fault for not applying pressure properly...Or just got unlucky with a bad map... Ruin, Pop Goes the weasel, corrupt intervention, and now that new killers perk that makes survivors exposed if they touch a gen you kicked....

I'm a purple rank killer who has faced both red ranks and purple sbd have yet to gen rushed except by 2 swf teams that had boxes and we're coordinated... and I've only just got ruin 2 weeks ago

I had the misfortune of playing on a really tough region, so I was playing rank 1 death squads from rank 9, and this was not a blue moon occurrence, it was 7 out of 10.

Trust me when I tell you I've been gen rushed 6 ways from Sunday, no matter how much pressure I applied.

When you've got a combined 10k hour team with toolboxes, brand new parts, prove thyself, ds, and dead hard, you will understand the true nature of the gen rush.

I do feel like when you hit a survivor and they’re in that speed burst period, they shouldn’t be able to repair a gen. Maybe that’s just me though . Delay should just be long enough for the killer weapon wipe.

That would be a pretty nice qol change. Maybe that and a 5% regression upon kicking.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Everyone knows about the survivors that get off the hook and run immediately to the gen while protected by DS, wanting to take that generator out of the game as fast as possible without wasting time healing.

I'm getting a lot of survivors recently too that sit on the gen in your face, they take a hit, pop the gen right in your face and they'll take the second hit as a trade just to rush the generator out of the game.

Is the killer really the bad guy for tunneling survivors in games like these?

    Food for thought.

Personally when I play survivor I try to be optimal on gens but I also like to try and survivor so my priority after an unhook is to heal in some way. At most I may tap a regressing generator but that's it.

The only problem is that survivors have the tools to stop killers from tunneling, but killers cant do anything about the gen rush.

But yeah, I play as dirty as the survivors do. If I have to camp or tunnel to win, I most certainly will.

  • @gatsby said:

The base self unhook rate drastically increases when the Survivor is in the Killer's Terror Radius. Maybe from like 4% to 24% or something.

It would force Killers to actually leave hooks even when its optimal to camp... kind of like what Decisive Strike does. Adding a game mechanic to force the Killer to play suboptimally to encourage more interesting and fun to play against gameplay.

It would be abused. They would run you around the hook, letting their teammate get off the hook with endurance, body block, and teabag you.

  • Id take a big daddy as the killer in a heartbeat. Rapture would be a fun map for sure.

I thought they closed all the god loops? Sure feels like it. But see, you still won. Proving my point.

Not that time. Had the window in the corner open, so you had to go way around. I won because I was significantly better than them, and they still managed to get the gens done.

  • @Chunkyboi said:

I just had a match where all 4 survivors had over 1k hours and yet they all ran sprint burst all spread out and exploited the op windows in the asylum main building. Can everybody pls not play like this.

And btw is there any way to counter this?

Lot of it is about experience. Like I'm not going to chase for long in the main building on asylum. Get a pallet or a hit, the leave. It's easy to over commit, but you have to learn when to chase someone else. Finding a 3 gen and making them come to you is another big one.

I destroyed a quality team on asylum with a 4 gen and hag. I never went in the building, just trapped up everything and sat back with a cold one.

    @ClickyClicky said:

Over 1k hours per survivor.....lol I’d kill for that.

For me the survivors start at 2,600 hours minimum and go to over 6,000 hours. Guessing the EU servers have a small playerbase on PC?

I think they do know about the balance thats why killers over the past year have generally been stronger than previous years.

I know that feel bro. I played umbra when I had like 200. That match didnt go well for me.

    @BabyDweetMain said:

So because the maps aren't catered to you, the game is survivor sided? Do you hear your entitlement? The survivors need a chance to survive. You already have a ton of killers who shred through maps so easily like demo, hag, blight, billy, freddy...like what more do you want? You got killers who disable survivors from doing anything and make looping useless like Deathslinger, doctor, huntress and pyramid head. Plus all the instadown powers, perks, and add-ons. The game isn't survivor sided, you just don't know how to play your side.

Lol. Some of the maps are just flat out disgusting. Got fractured cow shed with the god window open, 3 of the hay trailers, into shack, into jungle gym. I won, but only because I severely outclassed the survivors. That could have been a 0 hook game with the right team.

Maybe they don't need it, but survivor perks don't need to be absolutely gutted to the point they're never used either. If I used a brown toolbox to sabo the hook I wouldn't of said anything, but the fact I used an entire perk slot to get something so underwhelming, blows my mind. They may as well reinvent Jakes entire perk and come up with a new perk, I'm sick of seeings Jakes Ultra Rare perk continiously being nerfed.

So dont waste that perk slot. It would be like me bringing zanshin tactics or cruel limits, then griping because they're not strong enough.

Only difference is that you can pick one of the already op perks, and bring a toolbox to get the same effect.

  • @Avarice10 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1619049#Comment_1619049

Perk has a CD of 60 seconds, so you can't deny this on a regular basis, it's just one hook that you can sabotage no more, and 30 seconds makes no meaningful difference, not to mention hooks are close by that typically the killer will make it to then nearest hook.

Sabo use to have real practical use now I wouldn't even call it weak, it's just trash. I can't even farm points with this pos.

The gens go too fast for any survivor buffs. Denying even a single hook is usually a game breaker for killer. You use words like usually and should, but then you get a map like swamp or the game where the hook is technically within 50m, but its 60m of walking to get to it.

Bottom line, survivors have pallet saves, flashlight saves, ds, dead hard, shorter objective times, and the numbers, they dont need a stronger version of sabo.

  • Review, lol. Review means baby survivors are having trouble, so we are going to neuter the killer.

  • @OniWantsUrLocation said:

According to the Q&A stream Devs are monitoring PH. Most likely PH will get "minor changes" (still getting nurse flashbacks)...

Let us remember what so many people have complained about.  I personally can only remember two specific things:

    1. Canceling Rites of Judgment (switching from M2 to M1) has a cooldown of 0.5 seconds. According to many people here this is much too low, because PH can simply fake his M2 without any punishment (0.5 seconds is not really noticeable). The legendary "get hit or get hit"-Situation was born.
    2. PH can negate a lot of perks because of his cages. Especially DS and BT users are NOT happy about that.

So what could they change to make people happy again? Increase the cooldown from 0.5 to 1 second? 1.5 second? 2 seconds? Yeah.. I don't know what they're planning, but a higher cooldown most likely means that he can no longer fake his ability. Since this is his TRUE STRENGTH, such a change would make him drop from tier A to tier C in no time (since I am not a friend of tiers this is only to illustrate that he would lose much of his viability).

So if the cooldown should be increased, then he should get something in return. I don't know what that could be, but just increasing the cooldown alone would kill PH. I don't even want to talk about the scond point. He has a unique ability and that is a good thing imo. But that alone doesn't make a good killer and I really hope that they don't mess him up.

What do you think about it? Will I soon be a sad PH main or will they find a good solution without ruining it completely?

If they nerf his zoning, they will have to reduce the missed attack stun and give him a flick on the m2. Right now, it's too easy to dodge and too punishing when you miss.

I'm not trying to insult you, I'm trying to help you. Honestly, those survivors are nothing special, that's pretty average play, at least compared to what I get. I'll happily watch your stream, when do you stream?

It wouldn't have mattered chasing the survivor off that gen the felix was injured, if I had gone for that first gen, I would have probably injured him but now I'm in another chase which is probably going to last 80s by this time the same amount of gens would have gotten done the felix knows the gen is being worked on so he'll probably go to that one it's best to down a survivor to create pressure and get one survivor off the gen for the rescue, but that's what I'm also explaining in the video why are survivor's expecting the killer to be much better than them if you have some skills you can't just call a killer trash because you are I'm going to say better but have much better information than killer, pyramid heads POTD is very situational and one miss also gives the survivor more time to create distance so, I down the felix chase the feng mange to down the feng and three gens we're completed in 2 minutes there's not much room their for manoeuvring outside of that when I patrol gens with no map pressure and is one the slowest chasers, which as soon as I got in chase the Jake came and finished the feng's generator the felix went for another gen I mean it's *not very hard to dodge pyramid heads power, like I say it's very situational the range attack with them being on mics and knowing the map which they put up the offering all you can really do is try, also the auto aim can be exploited as the Jake some how mange to 360 out of the corner which pc players tend do alot exploit console autoaim I'm not sure what more I could have done but put pressure on survivor's instead of map because it's a large map

The whole point of new ruin is pushing survivors off gens, those three gens popped because you didnt apply any pressure to them. You hit and run, every hit you get applies pressure, they either have to stop and heal, or they're easy pickings later.

I would have pushed them off the gen, got the hit, then swung back around for felix, who would likely be trying to repair that gen.

If your playstyle is more suited to chases, you need to be running corrupt and pop, not ruin.

You know that the misses are costly, but you still kept going for them. His true power is zoning.

Out of curiosity, what rank are you? I'm guessing 8 or 9 based on your playstyle

  • @TheStabbiNAngeL said:

I was told to get gud basically for my input but anyway, breaking off from a chase to go chase a healthy survivor is moronic on the killer's part you can go to the gen that's being worked those said survivor's are usually running sprintburst and or urban evasion, so say you chase that survivor off the gen it's going to take you generally 180s to capture this new chase that's if you hit them with a basic attack and or you're power both times meanwhile his swf had urban or just walked and hid while went into that chase and it could be more then one in the area so you lose that gen regardless, if you decide to break off from that chase and go back to the gen the two other survivor's will just simply go to another gen and this process just starts over so typically you're lucky if you get a 1k or any sacrifices at all combined with spine chill and leader, resilience if you manage to hook a survivor most swfs run Barrowed Time so pretty much kiss that kill goodbye oh and if you try and hook that hooked survivor again then you have to face dead hard and decisive strike I'm not sure if 7ou guy's don't think if it's a tough game killer side but it is and survivor's basically have all the power what's the point in running corrupted none because 3 generator's are blocked while at least four others remain

    https://youtu.be/G-GRXJ-kfkU

Coincidentally I was playing against a team like this last night before a discussion about this popped up in another discussion, @SloppyKnockout still waiting for you're proof of rank sir ?

That's no god squad, you made a ton of mistakes there. You've got a hit on the felix, you hear the gen being worked on, you've got ruin, and you commit to felix, allowing the gen to be done for free.

You went for way too many open field power shots, instead of zoning, you weren't using your trails, and you gave up pressuring gens with one remaining.

On top of that, you dont track very well, bbq would suit you better than thrilling.

I'm very killer sided, but you just got outplayed in that one.

I'm just going to say that if you repeatedly say you are going against tournament squads almost every game, even if they are simply above average, you create an echo chamber with your viewers where its a never ending loop of thinking you are going against this, when most of the time its just a standard solid team.

I watch his videos and notice literally no difference between his games and other streamer's games.

I disagree. Other streamers get a healthy potato ratio, and the occasional decent teams.

I've seen you, and just about everyone else get crushed by strong teams, but you dont get them that often, which leads to a certain arrogance. I sympathize with tru3, because up till crossplay, I had the same issues.

I was stuck in purple ranks, trying my best to deal with that nightmare and getting really frustrated with the game. Soon as crossplay hit, I flew up to rank 1, like went from 9 to 1 without a single draw or depip.

Tru3 also, has verbatim says, that he HONESTLY believes all he faces are "tournament level squads" in DBD.

I wouldn't take him too seriously.

Do you actually watch his videos? Look at the survivors he gets, there's a clear difference in strength compared to other streamers.

Certain regions are just chock full of sweaty teams. Everyone I talk to that plays on south American servers note a ton of swfs, with thousands of hours, and they're all sweat lords.

There's a couple new breakable walls on the main building, but apart from that it should be the exact same from what I've noticed. You probably just got cucked by RNG yeah.

Probably the rng then. I got dumpstered, but a rank 20 could have run otz for 5 gens on this setup.

    1.) Increase toxicness by 1000%

2.) Allow your teammate to use slurs in game against you instead of in postgame chat.

3.) This game is in parts of the world where you can get a team where everyone speaks a different language. No one would be able to communicate.

4.) People have said they would quit over this.

5.) Buffs solos way too much against our killers currently. You’d have to buff all killers way up.

The above as to why it’s not a good idea. Also this is not a valid reason for it:

bUT yOu cOuLD JusT tURn iT OfF...........

Man, I'm old enough to have used roger wilco, way back in 1999, these problems aren't new. Still hasn't stopped them from using it.

The swfs dont want it to happen, because they will lose their unfair advantage.

"Gen rushed" was in quotes for a reason. It's a dumb term.

The map RNG can be bad but it can go both ways. Recently I've been seeing dead tile after dead tile as both killer and survivor, even on maps like Ormond. Couple that with teammates throwing down pallets like hot cakes and you're gonna have a bad time.

And no, I think Wraith is one of the few killers that can't do anything to keep up pressure on a half-decent team, along with Trapper on most maps. I did say most, not all, yeah? Pig/Legion are the bare minimum I think you can get away with, and even then you have to have the survivors mess up here and there to really get your value. And good luck against good SWFs.

The problem (and paradoxically the good thing) about this game is that the vast majority of people are just bad at the game. If I go and play Apex or Siege or Spellbreak (good game BTW) consistently, I'm probably going to have the vast majority of my matches end in failure (even if it's hard fought here and there) because people are just really good at those games. DbD is the only multiplayer game I've played recently where most of the matches are actually pretty chill no matter what role you play.

I think Umbra said it best a couple of days ago: If the game is balanced for the good players, especially the good survivor squads, the game will be basically unplayable for the casual player. And I tend to agree here. I think the balance, outside of a few specific killers and perks/addons (and solo buffs like a totem counter) is about where it needs to be right now.

And no, people play Freddy and Spirit because they're braindead easy to use and they're afraid of getting dumpster'd by SWFs while learning a mechanical killer. Even though these days you can just dodge people who are all on the same platform and get another game in less than a minute if you're really that motivated.

If the game had proper matchmaking, balancing at the top would be fine, but it doesn't. They need to just put a debuff on swf and be done with it. No stacking perks would suffice.

  • Ds/unbreakable. Survivors - oh my god, it's not even that strong, just make us use it and move on.

Deadhard at a loop. Survivors - oh my god, it doesn't work half of the time, just bait it out and get good.

Swf. Survivors - oh my god, most swfs are casuals and dont use it's free 10 perks, just get good.

3 gens pop in first chase. Survivors - oh my god, gen speed is fine, just pressure better, the game isnt over yet.

Spirit. Survivors - OH MY GOD THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!! She has no counter play. You killers want this game to have no interaction. It's a mind game that we're not in control of, all we have is looping, please nerf.

Obviously t bagging is a thing in many other games, not just here but I see it far more here than other games I've played and I just don't get the point of it. Is it to show disdain? Because its funny? To frustrate other players? Because t bagging has been a "thing" for so so long now I can't imagine it frustrates other players and surely it can't be funny still, so I guess that leaves me with showing contempt and personally I don't get that mindset since we all want to keep players playing dbd and not annoy them so much they end up leaving.

Think of this as a sort of cultural/sociological question, I'm genuinely intrigued with peoples answers lol

Lot of people still get tilted by it, so confident loopers do it to get attention.

I've never cared, you teabag and flashlight click all you want, you're wasting time. I will get you eventually.

Victory isn't always clear cut in the this game. When do you feel like you've won a match?

    When you're a survivor:

    You survived?

    Your whole team survived?

    Half your team?

    When you're a killer:

    2 kills? 3 kills? 4 kills?

I ask because I've seen meltdowns in post game chats over a team losing a single survivor to the killer.

I pip, I win one either side.

As someone who mostly play survivor, i can assure you old ruin was way weaker than the current one. For those who are able to hit great skillchecks (or even gen tap) no problem, ruin didn't even make any problem for them.

As someone that mostly plays killer against high level survivors, I can assure you that old ruin was stronger.

Gen tapping took a ton of time and no one can hit 100% great skillchecks. They spent a few minutes looking for it, which bought you time. People dont even bother cleansing new ruin.

Me personally its a tossup between left behind and iron will

Devour hope has saved my bacon more times than I can count. Nothing like a genrush squad getting slapped down by a sudden instadown.

I bought the game 3 days ago and i played it for 15 hours when i play as a survivor everything is okay i face with noobs like me but every single time when I play as killer I match players who have played more than 500 hours, red ranks or toxic smurfs. Am i just unlucky or this will happen every time and i will get trolled until I get good.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EVMF0Q8A2LKE/indir.png

Just how it is with killer. Everything about them is harder than survivor, including matchmaking.

You will improve over time, but it will be miserable until you do.

Why does Deathslinger, Plague, and Pyramid Heads range have to be pixel perfect with limited range... While Huntress has unlimited range and just has to hit near her target s general direction?

Deathslinger has instant shots, pyramid head goes through walls. Huntress has a slow windup and slowdown while aiming.

  • I am the true definition of a dbd killer. I was tortured by high rank, high skill, high hour survivors until my rage took over to do the entity's bidding. Green, purple, or red ranks didnt matter, because I got nothing but red rank survivors.

Unfortunately, they made me so good that anything less the best is just a puppy kicking. I cant derank, because there is no fun or challenge involved.

So my advice is that if you're happy where you are, stay there. Leave the red ranks to spooky old things like me.

  • Here's what I would do. I'd have a perk that like slows the game down a little bit. It would be bound to a hex totem, and as long as its active, you would have to hit a great skill check to keep advancing the gen. If you hit a normal skill check, it would short out and halt progress. It would be called like hex disaster or something like that.

No, not exactly. That is a fair point, but Killer by design Is hard. It's 4v1 and you're going up against what can feel like innumerable perk combinations. I will say though, i've been on the survivor end of more than a few vicious 3 gen set-ups that ended just how you'd think. Some games don't even really begin until that point. Killers have to be more optimal and better at prioritizing than survivors generally. Maybe I'll post about it later to get a wider range of feedback but I was thinking some kind of system could be enacted when it's a 4man. Something like no duplicate perks would go a long way. It would force survivors to mix it up, and I don't think getting hit with d-stike (for example) is so bad... But getting hit with 4 of them is ridiculous.

I should have placed this question earlier in my response but,

do you think 3 genning and gen rushing are similar?

I agree that balancing killer, heck this game in general is a nightmare. 3 gen is a strong strategy, but still worthless in a 4 man. If no one is dead by a 3 gen, they will take off the second they hear the terror radius. Sooner or later, you have to commit to someone, and the other three will hammer out that gen in under 30 seconds.

I like the idea of no duplicate perks in swf. Treat them as one unit, rather than 4 individuals .

I'm a Longtime watcher, and on and off player of DBD. I feel like a good majority of the people who constantly rage and have problems with specific things in the game don't realize how far the game has come. Back when there was insta-blinding flashlights, infinite loops, no end game counter or hatch (if I remember these things correctly). Those who played during that time, killer or survivor main definitely understand why these things have changed the way they have. For example, all up and down forum people complain about the hatch, but games used to get taken hostage and would last FOREVER because a survivor could just hide until the killer gave up, or the killer could farm until the survivor quit. Back before there was a killer with ranged attacks (i.e. Huntress) or a killer with an ability to temporarily stop vaulting (i.e. Doctor), Survivors using broken infinite loops against the more basic M1 killers were not just difficult, they were impossible to overcome. Any survivor who knew a little bit about looping and had thumbs became instantly uncatchable. And as a killer, you still got teabagged and flashlight clicked, waved at, etc. all while it's happening. And some of you killer mains on here can't take being taunted at the exit gate. There are so many more killers and perks now, than there were back then. Take advantage of them and build a survivor/killer that is built for the things you don't like happening to you.

    Tired of getting clicked at?

    Franklin's Demise.

    Tired of getting tunnelled?

(Switch off of p3 Claudette lol) no but really, Decisive strike.

    Tired of survivors D striking?

    Slug. Wait the timer out.

    End game problems?

    No ed, blood warden.

    Early game issues?

Corrupt intervention, or a good gen slower like Ruin.

Stop taking bad chases as killer.

(chasing wounded survivors to parts of the map where there are no gens).

Stop getting caught out of position as a survivor.

(Being chased where there are no pallets, vaults, tiles, loops etc.)

Both sides can have it pretty rough at times but just do what you can to minimize the damage. DBD has come a long way to where its not so broken anymore, that it has most of what it needs to be enjoyable. Most games have Metas, DBD is no different. You can't stop everything but you can definitely create some builds that are pain in the ass for the opposition.

Anyway, obviously my first post so...

I play both sides but lean towards survivor even though I played nothing but killer when the game first came out. So I hope the above is relatively unbiased.

Just my two cents, and most of you probably have a better understanding of the game than I. I just think it's current state is leagues above where it stood previously, and take that into consideration before crying about every single update that's not exactly what you wanted.

Anywho, glad to officially be a part of the community.

Happy whatever it is you do. 😁

P.s.: This likely has grammatical errors or a incorrect perk listed, I can't be bothered to proofread & edit on my phone.

So your logic is that just because the game was more broken in the past, it's ok to still be broken now?

In the past, you didnt have near as many players that knew what they were doing, and you didnt have swf helping them.

Trust me, if you get a gen rush, meta perk, 4 man swf, this game is still broken.

Well.. im one of the few who cant killer baby survivors.. i feel bad and they're way too cute.

same when i get a baby killer.. it is easier to give a baby survivor the hatch then a free kill to baby killers because they mostly dont accept it.

Since matchmaking is not working and its very easy to get to red ranks for both sides do you think we should have mercy with babys?

or do you say " no mercy, full tryhard"

let me see your opinion on that.

Unless I have a challenge or archive, I will let obvious baby survivors go. Survivor side, no way, I want my bloodpoints.
