i don't recall any instance where someone watched a horror movie or played a horror game and went "how come the movie's resident psychopath can find all of the people in the movie except for the final girl?" or "how come the villain knows where i am at any given time but i can't track him?"
same logic, killer's are meant to kill you, they do that by either running you over or by preparing ambushes and/or traps, they can't do that if you know who they are and what they're doing at all times
there is a reason 3rd party communication software breaks the game

oh my word this made me want to throw up, that looks disgusting

I mean, a man with a mask, a machete, and paranormal strength.
Does Jason have anything that Trapper doesn't have?
Trapper doesn’t have a chainsaw on account of Hillbilly and Bubba holding a monopoly on chainsaws

It depends if the killers have their canonical strengths. Out of the original, Oni for sure.
As others have said, if it included licensed it would definitely come down to Pyramid Head and Nemesis. I know more about Pyramid Head then I do Nemesis, but they both seem to be nigh invincible. Pyramid Head isn't even really a person, more just a manifestation of Guilt. From what others have said about Nemesis, he seems like the more traditional type of immortal.
Do correct me if i am wrong but doesn't PH kill himself at the end of Silent Hill 2 because James stopped feeling guilty?
If i am correct on that then it means the rest of the cast aside from a few have a pretty sizeable leg up on PH, due to either not feeling guilty about their crimes or not being mentally stable enough to feel guilt

Trickster, obviously.
We all know every killer is a K-pop stan, they'd never dare hurt their boi.
Demo and Slinger can confirm he does live shows at the Dead Dawg Saloon on the weekends

as much as i hate the idea and concept of SBMM, this screenshot, if anything, is a indication of why it might be a good idea rather then a bad one
-
i'm willing to bet that every perk in the game has been, currently is or will be bugged in some form
such is the nature of spaghetti code
-
B tier but fun, i prefer things being fun for both sides rather then a curb stomp for one person
-
how is the RCPD more cursed and buggy then the swamp?
That isn't something that should be possible, but somehow it is
-
i felt a roller-coaster of emotions i didn't think i was capable of feeling anymore
-
Demo, on account of him being evicted in a few months
-
I am...hesitant, if what i heard about the most recent test is true then i have no reason to worry, but if it's anything like the tests i actively got to participate in then i'm not going to play a lot
-
honestly i have to agree, not with the toxic part, but with the "let me boop the snoot god damn you" part
-
i think they're fine for the most part, however i do think that they require a few changes
- their pathing needs major improvements, they get stuck on random terrain and objects and do almost nothing, they should be a bit more threatening
- they could do with a small speed increase, nothing major, but making them a bit faster would be kind of nice
- The speed boost you can get from them by letting yourself be infected by the zombies is a bit stupid, not only do you deny the Nemesis player a good chunk of Infection but you can get yourself out of a dangerous situation by just letting yourself get hit by the zombie rather then the Nemesis, either the zombie should give the Nemesis infection points when they hit a survivor, or they don't grant a speed boost, one or the other

Also the Ender of Speedruns
a moment of silence for the hundreds of WR runs ended by bad RNG please

Hit and Run isn’t fun to play against and a lot of Wraiths just tunnel off hook and proxy camp :/

The Power Luck & RNG will carry him
Ah yes, RNG, just as likely to let you kill a giant flesh blob with a rail gun that realistically should have torn you in half upon firing (*coughJillcough*) as it is to make you die to some random zombie in a dark alley
-
For #########'s sake Nemesis how many times have i told you not to throw lockers when you're upset
-
DemoMower
Mad Grit, Iron Clasp, Agitation and Starstruck, Add in a autoclicker and you are able to m1 at optimal speed
-
i like the challenges but i'm honestly kind of burnt out on the tomes, i've completed all of them so far except this one (yes that includes Tome 1 and the nightmares of it's challenges) and the repetitiveness of some of the challenges wears you down, challenges like Heroic Cause and other such challenges that require you to throw the match to complete them wear me down even more so
-
All I’m saying is that Throw-Pillows were made for a very specific reason, get one
-
some people play this game competitively despite crap like this being in the game btw

They actually plan removing the ranks once the skill based matchmaking goes live.
Assuming a skill based system in a game where the maps and resources on said maps are down to RNG is even going to work, which it won’t

I don't mind that, as long as not all of them spawn on one gen each.
All 4 survivors spawning next to each other is actually, the best thing that can happen to you since they’re all in one place doing at most 1 gen immediately, sure that one will pop quicker but it’s a lot better then 3 gens being worked out at the same time
-
I still get nightmares from my first few matches on the swamp as Blight, goddamn miserable to play on

I said that the image was very wholesome, I also asked if the girl in the image was related to you in some way, then you explained that it was just a random image you found on the internet

No thank you. If they ever come up with a map like this, don't be mad when I make a voodoo doll of you and force you to walk through a car wash.
If a actual maze gets added then feel free to put me through as much voodoo-induced pain as possible

We already have that, they just named it RPD. We don't need any more mazes, thank you very much.
I was about to say the same thing, imagine if they made it a actual maze though, huge, zero vaults, gens and totems are in random spots, the only pallets that exist are god pallets that have to be broken and the only gameplay involved is pressing m1, occasionally m2 and holding down the W key
I am getting nightmares just thinking about it

@Tsulan said:
Are you absolutely sure, that the killers are using VPNs?
Because sometimes, the matchmaking matches me with people from a different continent. Where some people have a ping of 200+. I doubt they do that intentionally.
Apparently the DBD matchmaking system not only doesn’t care about matching people with similar ranks together, it also doesn’t give a ######### if they’re on the same goddamn landmass

I think it's good the way it is, it's just a little hard to play in.
Try to say this with a straight face next time you face a competent SWF with balanced landing and good window RNG
-
from the way the text reads i'd say it's a new perk type, otherwise it sounds like a anime title for no real reason
-
@Aneurysm said:
Demo is fine the way he is, he doesn't need buffs. He can shred his way through most survivor teams. He may not be able to deal with the elite swfs you go against every round, my liege, but honestly who cares
To be fair there are a grand total of 3 maybe 5 killers that can deal with elite SWFs so you can’t really hold it against Demo
-
so does this mean we're completely losing Steve, Nancy and Demo? That doesn't feel right at all
Edit: Just checked, we get to keep them, thank god, if they were gone for good i would have probably quit on the spot
-
As shown above, camping pallets against Demo while injured and without Iron Will is one of the dumbest things you can do
-
maybe escape with at least 1 teammate? Or escape after completing a generator, cleansing a totem and unhooking someone?
-
It works 100% of the time if you don’t use it for it’s intended purpose and instead abuse the extra distance the dash gives you to extend loops to a disgusting degree

The thing is thats not offerings modifying anything, thats outright different game modes.
It would fix 2 problems simultaneously if it was well implemented imo
the issue is is that it would very likely cause 50 different problems in completely different and unrelated areas

While I agree with it being killer sided in a a general sense I wouldn’t say it’s a automatic win, especially when playing as Billy or Blight

So does this mean we can ask for cat girl Spirit without it being weird now?

It's OK to like kid things. I love Coraline too. There's some great media made for kids that adults can enjoy too, no need to pretend it's not for kids. 😂
i wasn't saying i don't like kid things, i'm just saying that no one with a sane and rational mind would look at about half the ######### in the movie and go "yeah, it's ok for my kid who isn't even 10 years old to watch this, this is fine"

Neil Gaiman, the author of Coraline, says it perfectly OK for kids to watch. 😂 He wrote it based on stories his 5 year old daughter would tell him. It's a kids book and movie.
Even the studio that backed the movie thought only kids would see it. 😂

i mean, Neil's grip on sanity is questionable so my point still stands

I think Laura from Evil Within would fit the bill. Give her like a Oni dash, but instead be like a spider crawl sprint. Also some way to teleport through pools of blood like she does in the game.
If I see that thing barrelling towards me at Mach 5 I’m DCing out of sheer fear lol

Like I said, look at Coraline, a book (and later, a film) for children. It may not seem child-appropriate to many adults, but apparently it was deemed as such.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2419299#Comment_2419299
If you make merchandise for kids, then you're marketing to kids. Whether or not the content is appropriate for children is a highly subjective matter that largely depends on social norms, but you make merchandise that targets your audience (or the audience you hope to acquire). You don't see Caillou-themed motorcycles, for instance, because they're not the target audience.
I have yet to meet anyone who has watched Coraline and told me “this is perfectly fine for children to watch” so I can only imagine how insane the people who said it is for kids are
-
@Orion said:

It was marketed to kids (from what I understand, some FNAF merchandise was made specifically for kids) and the playerbase consists (or consisted, naturally they've grown up since) of children and young teens.
Just because the content may not look like it's for kids doesn't mean it's not. Look at Coraline, for instance.
The merchandise being for kids I agree with, the actual games though are definitely not for kids given how they’re designed, I definitely wouldn’t want my kids to play a game that involves child-murdering robot zombies

For some context Springtrap is a hybrid animatronic in a sense that its both a suit and a robot, but EXTREMELY unsafe, its possessed by a serial killer William Afton (the main antagonist of the series) who is know to have killed multiple children using the suit (originally named Spring Bonnie), after being cornered by the ghosts of his victims he attempts to hide in the suit for safety thinking they would fear him, but this proves to be his fatal mistake since the deterioration of the suit caused it to malfunction and release all the mechanical parts crushing him and puncturing him, killing him in the process, his soul would later poses the animatronic turning it into a mechanical monster thats both animatronic and a corpse fused together, despite this state he would continue his career has a serial killer, he even describes his fate has bittersweet but fitting.
Theres a lot more after but thats after he stopped being Springtrap and turned into Scraptrap (a far more destroyed version of the animatronic) and later Glitchtrap (a virtual virus after his body was completely destroyed)
People will read this and still say “FNAF is for kids” and that’s honestly pretty funny
