In online pvp games you are not responsible to making sure your opponent has fun. If you want dbd games where people are playing for fun, you can set up custom games.
yeah this ain't Hearthstone bros

During EGC no such thing as camping, killers should defend their kill.
Sooner you accept this the better.

If you have two on hooks, no such thing as camping in that scenario.
Killer should defend the two hooks if possible, Legion did right thing.

Don't give streamers any credit for Franklins Hag. It is to counter flashlights, dont shame people for playing optimally.
People have been running that long before any twitch streamer was.

Do you know how painful it is leveling Dredge knowing that the progression change is just around the corner?
I told myself, this will be the sign of the true grinders.... those who had a p3 Dredge before the prestige grind rework, because he will be the last new killer before the change I think, unless a new killer comes out before.
Then we gotta p3 that one too bois
-
same here, i start to feel bad downing people who are obviously new.
I know this may sound odd, but I have more fun getting a 2k in a swf match against a good team vs a 4k win with two DCs.
I prefer aggressive swf matches where they play crazy to the same ol spine chill shift w scared survivors.
Gimme 2 flashys and Bubba gonna have some fun, it is almost boring when no one is gonna try to flashlight you. I always play like its a swf when picking up survs, look around, double back.... and sometimes im like, "where are they?" hiding in a corner.... man come get some.

Strongly severe sanctions on camping because you have more people who have stopped the game definitively than you have of camp killer (letting this practice of camping is not financially profitable).
Other information you win + points on 3 hooks on the same survivor than 1 single hook + death but hey you're too stupid to understand the mechanics of the game since you don't know how to play the game (full camp mode like a big noob).
Not sure what you trying to say, but I said I bait out hook suicides, its hilarious. Bro, if I wanted to camp you, I would camp you. I like messing with survivors, and if you gonna try to suicide on hook, I am gonna try to get you do it faster.
Its called playing smart, you already made your decision, quit trying to fault me for capitalizing on it.
-
@Salacia said:
Still happy that we can commit suicide, nobody likes to play with a big draw of a killer who camp. But bhvr doesn't care about its players because it allows this ultra toxic style of play. You just have the big bad killer who has fun taking the game hostage while the 4 survivors who suffer without having fun (result a lot stop the game definitively because of the camp).
not gonna lie, sometimes I fake camp survs like you who ragequit on hook, if I see them atteming to suicide....Ill double back, raise chainsaw to their face as they struggle to encourage hook suicide, it works.... thanks for the easy match.

Sit there and watch youtube until the timer runs out.
Or you know... change the hook mechanic so camping is almost impossible and make it work like pyramid cages.

I am not convinced about the first part, but the Pyramid Head cage thing could work. That wouldn't make getting hooked or caged any more engaging, though.
3 genning is a major part of high level gameplay, what you guys suggest would destroy any strategic hooking of people inside a 3 gen to continue to pressure the team. Sending your hooked downs across map is sometimes the worst thing you could do, forcing this on killers would destroy the game imo.

oh imagine that....

you dont need a swf, I only play solo, I don't know your playstyle but if you have to play selfish do so, dont go for end game hook saves etc.... leave if you must if someone on hook. Run adrenaline/wake up/spine chill

Glad to see others say Fearmonger.
I sort of lucked out and got it early in web and threw it on Dredge, and havent taken it off since, I guess others feel the same as it is recommended, I just chose wisely by accident LOL

This is the survivor mentality on full display.
Survivors will create 10,000 threads per day about being tunneled... but will defend this type of playstyle that tries to use a killers fair gameplay against them. If you go for the unhooker you get bodyblocked and they force you to hit the unhooked to get them out of your way. If you go for the unhooked they call you a tunneler. Its a no win situation for the killer, survs set up these type of traps constantly.
Same with camping, they will start 10,000 threads per day against camping, then hook rush against my Bubba every match.
Their brain is just wired to be hypocritical like this
-
only people who change their icons get stuff like this, mine are working fine and look the way always has

Basically if this guy can't rant on your profile you must be a cheater.

Which highlights my point, devs wont change hooks to allow killers to hook if being bodyblocked by 3 survivors and no, you cannot hit all 3 unless you run Mad Grit so stop with that. You proved my point for me.
But then you've also got literally no progress being made on the survivors' objective. They're not coming out ahead on this.
The game is about denying the opposing side unhooks and hooks
No it isn't. Those are side points. And killers are still perfectly able to deny unhooks. Just not by just AFKing on top of a hook. Now they actually have to put in effort.
And before you try to go in with a 'well the survivors can AFK on hook!', again, no they can't. Because they'll get smacked down and then the killer has free access to the hook again. That's the critical difference.
Not sure how much killer you play, but according to the in game tips: hooking survivors is killers #1 objective/goal.
By default, since a surv goal is to escape, the main goal is to stay alive whicvh means dont get hooked. Or die on hook, hence the importance of unhooking. To deny a killer a hook, is to deny his main goal, to deny a surv an unhook is the same.
hooks and unhooks go hand in hand, generators are just time dump for the game loop. The rest is managing hook states.

Blocking the hook prompt is no different than blocking unhook prompts.
Yes it is. Killers can disable survivor hitboxes, but survivors can't disable the killer's hitbox. Old facecamp made it physically impossible for survivors to get the unhook because they can't manipulate the killer's collision.
Exactly, so Devs made "Swivel Hooks" to make sure that survivors can get unhooks now.
Which highlights my point, devs wont change hooks to allow killers to hook if being bodyblocked by 3 survivors and no, you cannot hit all 3 unless you run Mad Grit so stop with that. You proved my point for me.
Survs want to be able to bodyblock hook prompts but oh no, a killer is standing too close to a hook.
The game is about denying the opposing side unhooks and hooks, thats what the game boils down to so it is the EXACT same thing imo. Survs would be able unhook from back too, but you dont want that, you want to bodyblock hooks like a facecamper does, as I said, imagine the irony.

I’m a killer main and I do agree slightly with this. BT should technically only effect the saved, but they will gladly take a hit so the savior can book it. Making it feel like both are getting it. My big issue is that they can get it off via ability hits. Like Huntress’s hatchets or Billy’s Chainsaw. I feel like it should only apply to basic attacks.
What is ironic about what you posted is that Bubba was given to us when BT in fact gave both the unhooker and unhooked the Endurance status, Bubba was designed with the idea of being able to chop through multiple survivors because BT in fact protected two at a time when he was released. At the time he was sold to us as such and to combat the hook rushing meta.....Bubba is sold and marketed as being able to hit multiple targets.
From the store page on Bubba DLC first sentence describing his power:
"An incredibly powerful and heavy Chainsaw which sank its teeth in countless victims. A suiting birthday gift to The Cannibal. The Chainsaw is Leatherface's most deadly weapon. He can use it at will, doing devastating sweeping attacks with it."
-
this thread also shows why survs want BT basekit.
Has nothing to do with camping, they want to farm unsafe unhooks more and bodyblock away every single unhook
-
I ignore the unhooked but if they get in my way and block my path like a doorway, I keep my phone on my desk set with a .59 second countdown timer app.... you going back on the hook Bill

I think it is kind of a killer mental Healthcare thing. You know how after a day's worth of hard work you just want to sit down for a while and enjoy a cold one?
I think it's the same. After a few rough matches, some killers just want to put some classic music and chill on the basement, sharing the moment with their new friend as he slowly wastes away on the hook.
You probably should not go down there. It would be rude and interrupt the tranquility.
As survivors you should appreciate that the killer is even kind enough to bring insidious so you don't have to listen to the heartbeat the whole time.
While I know you joking, I actually do a Chest Protect Bubba every night as my last match just to chill. Usually they just do the gens then come vault shack window a few times, but it is a nice relax at the end of a couple hours of SWF battles. Survs are usually wholesome about it, I get lots of thank yous, and ttvs love it and so do their fans.
I dont insidious facecamp as a tactic, but definitely chest protect meme at end of the killer-work-shift to let the adrenaline drop from the sweat matches

Hit someone with Frenzy, then run around the house and come right back to them and they are right there mending for you. Fake the run away.
And likewise, if you frenzy one and dont hear killer instinct proc and they start mending in your face, cancel frenzy and down them.

I was about to say this. I know everyone or most people would dodge nurses and bubbas
Back during the MLGA block list drama years ago, if you played, Billy, Freddy, Bubba etc you were quickly added to the shared block lists and it made the que times even longer so devs had to address it and had drama with the creator of MLGA for allowing players to not play vs killers they did not like.
-
During the evenings I run Franklins Bubba, if I see no flashlights I run non Franklins Bubba, but if I see one flashy, you getting the Franklins Bubba
you gotta play against them enough to get used to it then start hunting them at night and weekends. Ill throw a whole match just to kill a flashy or two

"Why don't survivors have this opportunity? I don't want to play against broken killers like Drage and Nurse!"
Answered your own question

I would also like to clarify the OP made no mention of comp or pubs, hence why most of us mentioned pub matches vs premades.
The thread is not really about comp, its about whether or not perfectly played killer vs perfectly played team.
Comp or not was never part of the equation
-

Killers do very well in comp. I'm not sure where this notion comes from. Tru3 and Dowsey aren't comp level killers to begin with, and they were playing their first comp matches against the best team in comp at the time. Of course they got beat badly. See the video I linked above of a random recent comp match between two of the better teams out there. The Demo players did well.
It's not a perfect comparison, but pub teams aren't half as coordinated as comp teams and pub killers have half the game sense. It's all we really have to go off of for these types of discussions. SBMM certainly doesn't pit top players against top players with any consistency.
Dowsey was a comp player and decided to stream more instead of continuing to compete, but hey if you think he isn't good enough for any measurement of killer skill vs a comp team, to each his own, that's fine.
Unlike some of you, I was not using one example as absolute proof, but alas, I have no desire to argue something this trivial.

I prefer it on leatherface just so it forces pallet drops and reduces the number of tiles that force m1s. Way games tend to go is I'll wear down regions of pallets fast. These are usually zones i will focus on defending and hook survivors close to them.
Survivors have of course looped me through bamboozle but it definetly helps against the rather common unfair set ups. Your cowsheds,x of joy, haddonfield etc.
Imagine playing bubba in an aggresive non passive playstyle! Nuanced eh?
Bamboozle is always on my Bubba unless Im memeing chest protect or SWF hunting Franklins build

The depip squad happened years ago in a public match setting. I wouldn't put much stock in that at all. You're much better off looking at competitive play, and even then it's hard to gauge because of balancing rules. Plus those killers and survivors are miles above the average pub play.
ok, so we look at comp matches.... what do we constantly see: the killers can barely get two hooks in those comp matches.
Oracle vs True/Dowsey are just one more mainstream example of good killers destroyed by comp teams now I know True used Wraith, but its still that they can barely get any hooks.
edit: and yes they have crazy rules like only 1 DS per team etc that also shows stacking DS, BT isnt even allowed in comp often because its sooo stronk but in pub matches, you get bingo deadhard/bt/ds constantly at night.
-
Marth proved without a doubt that an organized swf will destroy a killer, the depip squad yt videos made this clear long ago. they had gens done and out in 4 mins, even good killers will struggle with how they do it.
-
shhh now survs are gonna say its "every game"
when reality is hardly anyone does it
reason is beause you already there, going in a locker wont change that you were there and you still there
-
when smurfing just doesn't make your games easy enough.
-
Lets highlight some of the things the devs have done to combat camping:
Made BT no longer need terror radius
Made hooks swivel to allow survs unhook from multi angles.
But notice they wont make hooks allow a killer to hook from the back, you know allowing survs to bodyblock and deny unhooks. Blocking the hook prompt is no different than blocking unhook prompts. Facecamping and bodyblocking hooks are basically the same thing
Maybe one day devs make hooks so we can hook survs from the back too, but we know that wont happen, survs would cry they couldnt bodyblock the hooks anymore.
Talk about irony

"The real issue is that the moment they lose a chase VS. Bubba that's decided to run Insidious"
I dont really run Insidious unless memeing Chest Protector, but Bubba can do what he does without Insidious, Insidious has nothing to do with it. Insidious was used back in the days to get around BT, now BT works without terror radius. Which BTW is "devs addressing camping patch #1987356458397456"
"It also makes no sense that a killer can completely counter an anti-camping perk by camping."
Bubba was given to us by the Entity when Borrowed Time still protected both the unhooker and hooker, he was designed with the ability to chop through that because at the time hook camping was even worse than now because everyone was hook rushing with BT that was OP and protected both the unhooked and unhooker. Also why we got BBQ, to encourage killers to leave hook during that time.
he literally was designed to counter the hook rushing meta which still exists. PLay Bubba I bet they unhook before you even get 3 steps away. They always do.
Its THEIR fault.
