its because theres only so many players and the match making is set to 5 minutes, after 5 mins you getting anything
-
There are top tier killer mains who use m&k for killer and controller for surv, console or pc doesnt matter skill is skill, I would never use controller for killer though
-

people get offended when a Survivor presses CTRL 3 times in a row
can you imagine their reaction when they get nae nae'd on?
And likewise, moving my mouse to nod at a surv enrages them too.
OH and hitting m1 while they on a hook, oh noes the BM!!! survs get upset about the little things too.
late 90s pvp thickened my skin
-
If you are not running obsession perk and see the entity brackets, start tunneling them to eat the DS early
-
There is most definitely a defintion, its just that because gen rushing was addressed players continue to use words like "genrush" or even "facecamp" although both those mechanics have been removed from game.
genrushing refers to back when Prove Thyself stacked 4 times and Brand New Parts did half the gen - gens would be done in 14 seconds. Look up old yt vidss, I think 14 seconds was fastest
Now killers call "doing gens" gen rushing when it is NOTHING like the past.
facecamping, same thing, that term refers to when killers could stand face to face with hooked surv blocking the unhook prompt, it was removed with swivel hooks that now allow unhooking from multi-angle. Now if you look at the surv from 30m away its "facecamping"
people just call everything genrushing and facecamping ,but both no longer exist as they did
-
I kept teleporting to a locker across map when trying remnant first couple matches, I get confused on direction with remnant need more practice today LOL

Survivors will never accept the hook securing of Bubba. They rage, slam their keyboards and run to the forums.
As Bubba, had a match last night where I had 0 kills when gens were finished, but I caught one at the 99ed exit gate as they opened it. Hooked them about 20m from open exit gate, I stood right there. The rest could have just left, in fact the reason I caught one was they 99ed the gates instead of leaving.
Know what happened next? Instead of leaving, one by one they kept trying to unhook... got the 3k.
Why? They simply cannot accept the fact Bubba can secure hooks, its not camping they hate, they hate Bubba, period. Many other killer they could have unhooked right there and BTed to gate. Not Bubba
They expect you to leave the hook during end game, sure thing man let me do that
-
As I continuously say, its not camping they hate, its the fact Bubba can secure that hook. All killers can camp, but Bubba make em cry on the hook and THE FORUMS
-
tunnel them out, bleed em out if you must
as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law

new flashlight charm is the best one ever.
It was made for my Franklins Bubba which I hunt SWF flashlight teams nightly with.

i respectfully disagree with this
thats totally ok.
However, thats how I see it, hookinh is killers #1 objective as stated by the in game tips. Survivors have no qualms about bodyblocking to deny hooks, it is only fair that the killer has the ability to contest unhooks.
All killers can camp, as I said above, the only reason survs complain more about Bubba is because he is one of few who can counter unsafe hook rushers (majority of all matches are hook farmers)
Its literally the same denial of objective for opposing sides. I run Mad Grit and dont cry on forums about bodyblockers or camping, and I get camped daily too.
-
when I first started in 2017 I dodged prestiged players LOL
then I realized I could learn from them even if I got outplayed constantly.
Now I hunt for SWFS at night on Bubba.
Lesson: don't get discouraged, play your hardest and before you know it, youll be same level as them
-
survivor bodyblocks a hook prompt = totally ok
killer blocks unhook prompt, survs say: thats not fair = cheating
both sides can block the main objective, bodyblocking hook prompts is the same thing as camping.
del wit it
-
boring is code word survivors use

If you can't take the Teabag, then you aren't worthy of playing Killer.
imo this goes both ways. I do not mind a "gotcha" type of teabag done after the surv outplayed me, and likewise when I clearly outplay a surv I do and will nod like "gotcha" this is done in comp all the time and if a surv outplays me, I dont mind the quick single tap like a surv to surv thank you ctrl tap. I do it too.
I also will chainsaw 360 spin chop the last on hook until the game loop closes, not to be toxic, Im just having fun. dont take it personal bois.
people are way too sensitive in this game.
-
You have done well.
We are Legion.
-
I like toxic, hell I HUNT for flashlight SWFS every night as Franklins Bubba, flashy clickers do not bother me at all other than the flickering light, but toxic? pfft, the things people consider toxic in this game is childsplay to the stuff we did in late 90s online MMORPG gaming. They had to create words like "griefing" too describe the stuff we were doing for fun in those days.
I honestly get excited when I see last second flashlight equips and stuff, bring it on you little teabagger, I love knocking flashlights out their hands

That's one thing using LP will show you. More than where they are its shows you the complete BS of survivor spawn locations. Half the time its 2 and 2 with each pair right on top of a generator or 3 and 1 with same thing, and like you said, sometimes they are all spread out but still close to a generator each.
With CI the furthest three generators may be blocked, but that doesn't always work in your favor, you still have to find the survivors, and if they don't have a generator to work on they'll cleanse or boon totems or stealth around and hide.
I realized this long ago in my Legion main dayss running Discordance, you realize how often within seconds two are on a gen. Its basically every match
-
as a surv I am on a gen in seconds of match start, it baffles me how often I do a complete gen before killer even makes it round the map to me.
3k hour killer btw

Not bad. Checking it out - I think the main things I note are that your teammates didn't go and throw themselves into Bubba's arms until there were 2 gens left, which would make the situation livable for you unless they all suicided, since that's enough time to do the final gens. They also got a lucky break with that kobe while Bubba was going to pick up the third person. They weren't helping on gens, but they kept the Bubba occupied beyond just hook timers instead of letting him come to you at the very end. Also, I'd guess the Bubba was running Agi/IG/NOED, which isn't nearly as effective as NWO/Deadlock/Ruin (though AGI/IG/NOED is more common than the maximum delay build and worth using as an example.) No Way Out in particular is nasty because you then have to cross the map to the other gate without being spotted (as Bubba will investigate your gate thoroughly and assume you're lurking nearby when he doesn't find you), and if it's post-hatch, you only have 60 seconds to get those gates open.
You made the right play - I would have been tempted to pick up that slug in the middle of the road given how many people were up versus how many gens were left, but someone else got him so it's all gucci - but you also had favorable conditions and you never had to hide from him or escape chase. I got a good chuckle out of the Bubba's name, though.
oh I know I was a tad bit lucky there in how the events unfolded, but I play enough Bubba to know if you in the basement, I am staying on gens, every second counts.
Many will go crouch nearby and waste time, time is what you are up against as much as the chainsaw. Match was 5 mins, if it was 7 I might have gotten killed.
And LOL at name, I had forgotten about that and it fits well with vid hahah

If you made it out despite your teammates throwing themselves into the meat grinder, then this happened when there were maybe 2 gens remaining and the Bubba wasn't running game delay perks. You'll get a gen and a half done in the time it takes for someone to die on hook and you cannot expect me to believe that you completed several gens while Bubba was roaming around the map looking for you.
I don't know how you expect me to get anything other than hatch when the solo queue parade marches off at 4 gens or the first victim gets mad and kills themselves on hook.
vid is now linked in post above, I did 3 gens the team did 2.

While I don't disagree with this, and I'm very glad boxblocker Pig got handled quickly, I do question how reasonable it is to say "just don't get caught" in regards to Bubba, because that's what this boils down to. The game is designed for survivors to go down eventually, and if a single chase lasts for the time it takes three other survivors to do five generators and open up the gates, something has gone horribly wrong with matchmaking or map design.
I don't think it's healthy that he gets so much payoff for so little effort. He can guarantee a kill off one chase, and unless he's going against comms, he'll typically get a 3-4k due to someone in the group not getting the memo and either wasting time or suiciding trying to extract his camp. Add in Deadlock/Ruin/NWO and you've got a mess on your hands. This strat pays off so well that the vast majority of Bubbas I encounter use it, and it's relatively rare to verse a Bubba that goes off and chases someone else after a hook. That's the real issue here - that his camping is frequently more lucrative than going and playing the game as intended. I've come to dread versing him despite him being a really fun and well-designed killer in chase. It's not interactive gameplay and I should hope it's on BHVR's radar for some changes.
I have hundreds of hours on Bubba alone, and as killer main made a YT video, How to beat Basement Bubba and Escape without getting hit - YouTube
Wanna know the strat? I sat on gens and ran to gate,... what did my teammates do? Went throw themselves at Bubba in the basement.
I made it out without getting hit, now tell me how its impossible. Match lasted barely 5 mins and i was out

What people seem to forget is they already removed facecamping.
It’s no longer possible to block the hook and prevent people from unhooking, that was true face camping.
You gotta learn to play around the saw. It’s hard but not impossible.
Half the time I get accused of camping because I turn my back and some survivor is rushing in for the unhook after I’ve only taken 2 steps away.
I remember a time when survivors would wait and/or hook exchange and not make stupidly bold plays that get themselves killed but those days are over it seems.
If bubba is camping smash out gens and then go for a hook exchange.
Thank you, I have grown tired of saying it.
Facecamping was removed from the game with the addition of swivel hooks. The ability to block an unhook by standing face-to-face with a surv was removed, now they call EVERYTHING facecamping.
"devs ignore facecamping" bros, it was addressed in 2017
-
Had it happen to me last night too, thought it was just me or that I was mistaken. Found a yellow flashy in chest, escaped, but no item in hand. Ill have check my recordings from last night but cant right now
-
@dugman said:
They’re not ignoring it, they explicitly said a couple of times they have worked on finding a way to steer killers away from face camping but the mechanisms they tried all either didn’t have an impact or broke something else in the process. Personally I suspect, for instance, that internally they used Pyramid Head’s system where the Cages move to remote locations as a pilot test for moving survivors on hooks around as well but that experiment didn’t pan out for some reason. And before that they tried putting in a penalty on emblem pips if a killer hangs around a hook which obviously has zero impact since most people who facecamp couldn’t really care less about the effect on their pips during a match.
So yes, they do want to find a way to steer killers away from thinking lengthy face camping is a viable option. It’s just not obvious what solution actually works.
Forcing killers to send their hooked survs across map destroys any strategic hooking of survs like in a 3 gen. Sometimes as Pyra one of the worst things you can do is cage someone when you should hook them in your 3 gen.
The last thing you want as a killer is protecting gens and send your hoooked down across map. Thats why.
In addition, punishing killers for being near hook is abused by survs during testing, devs found survs will stay near hook to force killers into a no win situation, survs will ALWAYS rush a hook to penalize a killer for being there.
-
I buy all killers so could be biased but he is fun enough to purchase, I got him and Haddie with shards.
I think Nightfall is one of the best updates to the game imo. Wish there was more Night elements to dbd
-
Bubba was given to us by the Entity to punish BT hook rushers. To understand Bubba one must remember back to the state of the game when he was born. When he was released BT still protected both unhooker and the unhooked.
His power is specifically for punishing hook rushing unsafe BT unhookers who basically farm unhooks more than trying to save anyone, lets be honest. In soloq they farming unsafe unhooks all day for tomes.
All killers can camp, what irks survs about Bubba is they cant do it in his face. Or at least without some punishment. If you notice they want BT basekit for same reason, more unsafe unhooks.

I did not, I was talking about the blindness status effect, not the blind visual animation.
Semantics. So let me rephrase: "Killer mains do not usually complain being blinded for 30 seconds from seeing auras is too short"
Anyway, my original post was short and simple I only explained it because you needed clarification.

Don’t you want to elaborate ? Are you a killer main struggling against this perk or flashlights in general ?
Nope, I love 3 flashlight lobbys and hunt for them nightly. I play Bubba with Franklins pretty much as my main at night for hunting SWFs these days and dont care about flashies at all. Killer mains usually do not complain blinds are too short.
-
Killer main excited survs can get more flashlights and blind them from seeing auras and that the blind is too short,... hmmm interesting.
-
Personally I think Nightfall changes the game for the better and is one of the best patches imo.
I wish the game had a Nightfall element for all killers in a way, while that will never happen, I think a game with an element of night like this really makes the game more horror.
A+ work by devs on this one imo.
-
The Dredge Nightfall is one of the coolest things they have added to the game imo. I LOVE IT.

Most of the comments explained what was going on. When the chapter got leaked, most people where freaking out about it being original
I have been on forums all week and did not see anyone "freaking out" about Dredge being "original."
Can you link these "freaking out" threads?

Dredge is fun, looks cool, fun to play as, fun to play vs.
I like him and really enjoy the Nightfall.
I think they did a pretty good job so far

Meanwhile none of us have seen a single person "freaking out" about this, "everyone" I saw was happy he could be purchased with shards.

We also need something on par with permanent map wide coms and an E button that just gives a free down when timed correctly.
I would be happy if the R key dropped a survivor as fast and responsive as E does deadhards. Or what if deadhard was non-responsive like the R key.
Imagine that world.

survivor mains: escaping is impossible!
me killer main: doing no hit escapes and the escape without being hooked tomes.

Because if survivors could not lock lockers facing Dredge, there would be 100 threads asking for the ability to lock lockers.

A few rotten apples shouldn't affect great change (auto-ban feature).
Let's just say it this way,... right now we have a system where you must submit proof in video for reporting. The reporting system is already heavily abused, devs have to put out info graphics saying you cannot report for slugging/camping/tunneling etc because survivors report you for those 3 things all day. These survs dont even know what tunneling or camping is
But for some reason you think an auto-ban system with no human verification of infractions would some how be a great change and we should have no concerns about "auto banning players" in this current atmosphere.
I dont even see how a mind could grasp such a concept.
-
@foxsansbox said:
Not worried. All the naysaying in this thread becomes actionable if people actually get banned without deserving it. If they screw the pooch on the system, the community won't have it. The players are their own biggest insurance, so no reason to really cry doomsday right now.
The "community" you reference are who we are afraid of.... why? Because we know how the community behaves.
There are TTV streamers who report players frequently for nothing, and on stream. Its literally a meme behavior now for TTvs to report you for winning in a way they do not like they do it live on cam dude.
There is simply no way that any auto-ban feature would not be abused. They abuse EVERYTHING already. If ppl do this to meme on stream, there is no doubt in my mind casuals report players all day long for nothing. Both sides.
Go on YT and dig up false reporting in DBD, its a meme now and they do it all day long
I play a lot of Legion/Twins/Bubba my three mains, ask me why I would be concerned about "auto ban features" based on accumulative reports with no human verification of infractions,
-
Im the same.
My wife watching Walking Dead: "its so sad all the human suffering."
Me: "I hope the zombies win."
My wife watching Stranger Things: "I hope Steve makes it out the Upside Down"
Me: "I hope Demogorgon wins."

This game has way to many cheaters auto ban is a great idea it's at least better then the current report system if it doesn't work they can always revert or improve on it.
I would like to take this moment to mention how great the current auto ban software is that devs use via steam: EAC Easy Anti Cheat
Easy Anti Cheat at one time detected my Razer keyboard as cheating and would kick me from lobbys, time me out and would ban me from game for security warning and I was blocked from playing.
I wouldnt trust ANYTHING auto in this game tbh.

Will be just like the old MLGA killer block lists survs used with third party MLGA,... play a killer they dont like.... = report
