  • I like Lightborn more, simply because they can easily get their lights back when they drop.

That would require them to create a separate prestige variation of every single clothing item in the game, which is why there's only ONE prestige outfit per Character.

It's an entirely separate and unique outfit, the prestige blood is not just an overlay that is slapped on top of the default clothing outfit.

Indeed, it'd take way too long to make a blood outfit for everybody.

I don't mind much either OP, I like some default outfits so I use blood/Legacy on them (Jake, Trapper, Wraith, Billy) while some others I mix and match (Clown, Doc) or go full out new outfits (Huntress, Ace).

I've hidden from Doctors for entire games but people seem to like bitching about him cause their stealth skills are slim to none because they'd rather perfect their loops.

It just seems dead because rarely anyone does it. Why try to learn something skillful when you can loop around pallets like a monkey instead? More efficient and easier to do.

Bevause as I said in the post, the problem is it’s too hard to lose the killer compared to distract. As a rank 1 killer, I’ve lost a total of 3 survivors in a chase. Where they completely lost me. That’s messed up, that number should be higher. Most are aware stealth is most definitly possible by just staying away from most everything. But I’m talking problems with gens in open areas, and chases. Plus general problems

I agree that it should be buffed up cause there are cases where like Blood Lodge, it's just an open field that you can't lose the Killer in unless he eats potatoes, I just mean to state to people that think it's completely dead or impossible that it isn't.

Whenever I see gens in the open I risk everything to get those done, there's no way a Killer can't find you at one.

Don't count on god, i doubt they will keep it that way coz it's pretty much broken. give it time lol

Well, survivors could object by playing the PTB and proofing the devs how bad the change is...
Ohh wait, nevermind. Survivors don't play the PTB because there's nothing in for them.

    Shame, shame.

In that case I recommend survivors to adapt to the new change. Maybe flashlights finally will require some timing and skill.

i love how some people just say "adapt" without any thinking, brainless tbh. If you look at the pickup speed and have any slight experience with flashlight saves "i doubt" , you will probably know it's almost impossible unless the killer is a baby one. Mark my words, pickup speed will be reverted soon or at least nerfed :)

Considering the devs just came out with a stream where they told Survivors to basically git gud and defended their choices, I doubt it.

  • Hell yeah, Jake main since the very beginning.

He and a few others (Like David and Ace) are the only characters in the game that I don't get annoyed by.

  • I don't use NOED but you literally stand no chance if you don't have Ruin.

Ruin is easily the most required perk in the game. If you don't have it, forget thinking you're going to ever win.

The base regression speed should be much faster.

Agreed. It takes something of like 3-5 minutes I think for an entire gen to regress.

It only covers your failures, not anyone with you on the gen.

I'd say absolutely, I can repair generators right next to the Killer, and if they're not rocking some good headphones you literally can't hear any repair. My last set of headphones I used for 4 years were bad so I couldn't hear anything. Now it's just extremely faint and it's fun repairing in front of Killers when they chase someone (chase music drowns out the noise hardcore, making doing the gen safe).

Only if I listen really closely. It does make a big difference.

Awesome awesome. I like this. Follow up question if someone else is doing a gen with you does it cancel over your perk so that the gen progression can now be heard?

Yeah it can, though only that person will be heard, so if they run away and the Killer spots them, you're safe to repair it without any fear of being heard. It could be more beneficial to work by yourself but if someone next to you is a loud worker and they take the Killer away, gives you more room to do that gen since the Killer would've thought "Oh there was just one person here, didn't see/hear anyone else" so he likely won't be back there.

I've repaired gens right next to loop areas and the Killer couldn't see me nor hear me since he was too focused on the chase, where otherwise he would have heard it (since repairs are loud) which would give yourself away. It's such an underrated but awesome perk.

  • Of course it was. Doing all 5 gens in 2 minutes instead of 3 gives the Killers literally no room to do anything.

  • It only covers your failures, not anyone with you on the gen.

  • Sounds like a very niche complaint considering it's only what, 400 points now? Or was it 200, can't remember.

I see, does this mean that the quick attack is bugged right now? Does it need to be fixed or will that cause a riot in the community...?

I'm not sure it's bugged, it just acts up sometimes, making you miss where you had your aim on them. I've lunged onto people but then had my camera tilt away completely missing and that pisses me off a lot. Quick attacks seem to do that more often.

  • Basically, you can tap the button on the Survivor do just do a quick attack. Sometimes it autoaims but I notice sometimes it does not.

If you hold it down you can do a lunge. There was a guide somewhere showing the lunges of the Killers, I'll go dig that up for you. But anyways I don't think lunges autoaim but you can move your mouse to aim it.

Killers with normal movement speed (Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Shape tier 2, Doc, Bubba, Freddy, Pig, Clown) have the same lunge.

Nurse has a smaller lunge when walking but I think it's normal if you do a blink hit.

Hag I think has the same lunge as others but it's a longer one cause you move slower.

Shape tier 3 has the biggest lunge in the game.

Huntress has a weak lunge cause she's slower.

Freddy's lunge is a little deceptive because he has a small weapon, however it's the same as others. Feels bigger but it is not.

Hope this helps! I'll try to find that chart.

  • Makes me wonder where the mods are.

And people say this is a better forum than the Steam forums, christ...

  • I thought the pick-up speed was busted though. Made a thread about it.

Is this with version 2.1.0a? I only tested 2.1.0 and it was still 4.3 seconds.

    Thanks if this is answered.

Edit: I see it's actually working now. Very good, thought this change was needed considering picking people up was really time consuming.

    One word - SWF.

One is dead, then everybody knows you are running this.

Well, the devs have had some mention of removing the ability to see what the Killer has until the game's completely done, so I wouldn't worry too much there.

Just have to hope they actually go through with something like that soon...

  • Not a half bad idea actually, I like it a lot. Would work well with a perk like Tenacity or Unbreakable.

    A thumbs up from me.

  • It would be a polite gesture but I don't think it's really needed, personally.

It was just $7 every once in a while for something new to mess around with, that's a good enough reward to me. I'll keeping buying the DLCs since it's cheap and something new, but I would never expect some sort of compensation for me filling the game with more to play around with.

  • It's just more popular to gangbang the Killer and boost yourself with friends.

I wouldn't really call us a laughing stock, I play solo and I don't care if people trash talk me for doing it, I'm actually manning up to have SOME form of challenge as Survivor instead of going full easy mode.

And it doesn't need to be. Wiggling just has to be useful which it currently isn't. Plus hooking someone in the basement all the way across the map you can already do. (I do it on Huntress cause she doesn't have any perks besides AGI, IG, DL and BS) but that doesn't mean I always run people to the basement because taking someone to the basement takes time. Do I wanna waste a minute dragging someone from across the map to the basement or do I just wanna take them to the nearest hook and start searching for someone else?

If they removed the wiggle mechanic all together the results would still be the same imo. People will still use the closest hook because it saves time, and time is money for killers. No one drags people to the basement unless they can afford to lose said time, and unless you're packing ruin, than, pop, or any other gen regression/slowing build you really don't have time.

    @Doom_Punk

And that's still faster than a survivor running.

Rofl no, Nurse can't catch up to Survivors without bloodlust and you want to make it so Killers go even slower than that while carrying?

They'd never reach hooks. Your idea is one of the worst I've seen and complete lunacy.

@Jack11803 It doesn't really need buffed though. I get 4 stacks just off of saving people most of the time, I don't bother bodyblocking.

It needs a buff even now.

I mean, not really? In a game where you don't even need perks to survive let alone pip...

Bringing a perk for more points when you don't have to bring anything at all and still do well, there's no point to buffing it. Its purpose is points.

  • The perk's been out for almost a solid year. You've had a lot of time to adapt to it and there's many ways to counter it.

I just love it for the points.

But one good thing though, u get to slaughter noobs without having to derank. it's best when u slaughter everyone before a single gen is complete

That may seem fun and all, but trust me, it's not a good feeling after a while. You do feel powerful which is what I want as Killer and I'm sure a lot of others do too... but it's power against players that are still learning the ropes.

I feel like it needs to be buffed a little... like you get the notification at 80% rather then 90% because even in some instances Billy had a hard time getting over to the gen before it was finished.. the lower tier killers wouldn't be able to make use of tinkerer.

Already got buffed to 85% and at rank 3 you get 12 seconds of 0 terror radius. Not sure if it's enough % wise but still looking better.

12 seconds of no terror radius is going to be decent.. 85% eh.. Is the PTB still going on? Also do you know when the the devs say all the killers add ons have been buffed do they actually mean ALL the killers?

Some Killers like Billy and Bubba have no Ultra Rare addons and in general have less addons than other Killers. I believe the number they said they should have is 20? I forgot, either way they did say they were going to give a pass to each Killer on addons, but when that is, beats me.

I know that the devs are going to be looking at each killer and starting with a couple of the weaker older killers is the right thing to do... I just keep hearing on youtube that they buffed all the killers addons which has me excited to checkout but I want to know if that is the case.

I don't think it is sadly, the only Killers I know of that have their addons buffed are Trapper and Hag. More Killers will come later down the line for their addon pass.

Yeah this was it, think they mentioned it happening after the next chapter though, around the next chapters "mid-chapter balance tweaks" Faintly remember them mentioning those in the dev stream where they showed off the new Trapper add-ons.

Sounds about right, to do so the next mid chapter patch. Thanks for clearing that bit.

  • I dribble them like an NBA professional and slam dunk them on that hook.

    ...

Doesn't work all the time but if not, I eat it and reconsider life for the 5 years it takes to recover from a whimpy Survivor stabbing you in the back with their hands. 8-)

  • I remember when Shelter Woods had little to no pallets, encouraging you not get found.

Now it's Pallet Woods. There's a pallet every turn you take and it is horrible. It's just as bad as the old Blood Lodge.

  • @whyareyoutunnelingme @Mr_Jay_Stark In regards to that, it is not at all bannable, UNLESS you take it so far as to not even attempt to kill anyone.

An example, you've locked three really close gens as Doc that makes getting them really hard. But instead of killing them, you just shock them off of the gens whenever they get close and always stay in Treatment mode. This is bannable, because you can keep the game going for practically forever.

However, same scenario, but you're injuring them and hooking them when you can, but not chasing them across the map when they're clearly doing that to bait you away. This isn't bannable. I remember a mod on the Steam forums a long time ago answering this question in the same way.

  • They'd be slower than Nurse speed while carrying.

    Absolutely not.

  • Heh, I once ended a game as Leatherface because two greedy Claudettes tried to heal a third one on the ground as I hooked a fourth in the basement. Got all three in one chainsaw.

    Either way, congrats to you!

  • Sounds cool. Anything to make her an actual threat would be fantastic. :)

  • If the Killer you're using can benefit from it, like Doctor or sometimes Trapper, I'd say it's worth it. You'll have to juggle between hooking people and protecting the gens though, but it's completely viable.

The Survivors will likely produce a salt mine if you keep the gens on lock and kill them all though, but if you feel like giving it a go, go for it.

  • None, considering the licensed Killers end up being pretty bad.

  • As gibbly said, they have absolutely no effect on the actual game. They are virtual skins and nothing more. There are soooo many problems with this game and complaining about cosmetics is not the way to go I'm afraid.

  • It took 2 years to finally see some real buffs so while yeah, I agree with you and I want LF to finally not be a trash ass Killer, I would never get my hopes up.

  • They said that stealth still has a place in the game and I still do it alongside a very good friend of mine.

  • @PureHostility

I just want to see some challenge for once as Survivor, I'm not saying the idea is a top tier definite good decision, but man if I could experience the game being somewhat of a challenge then I'm all for it.

Until then it's just coasting through on easy street.

Doesn't matter where you go, Reddit, Steam, here, you're going to see stuff like that.

  • @PureHostility said:
There is one major issue, that completely disallows devs to implement that kind of change.

It shits on solo players that happen to be in lobby with SWF.  Why in the world would I ever want to play as a solo player in a lobby of 3 swf players and face a killer with 6 perks?

If they would implement this, devs would basically kill this for solo survivors.

There are two or three possible solutions.

    1) give a btibe to killers when playing against SWF (bonus bp) - fixes nothing, issue is still there.

    2) add additional mode, casual (same as current, no ranks and no matchmaking) and ranked (only solo)

    3) add icons to show who is in SWF in the lobby fot Both sides, killers and survivors, that way they can either play that game or just dodge (i hate swf as a killer and as a survivor, im purely solo player).

I mean, considering Survivor is a complete cakewalk, even when solo, I'd welcome some actual challenge.

    I like this idea.

  • @ChraizE said:
What a waste of perfectly good thread space.

As if it actually matters at all.

  • Completely breaks the already bad balance of the game. I used to play SWF all the time but then it just got way too easy. My friends felt the same way.

  • This game is the exact opposite of competitive, no point in wasting time making a mode like this.
