Probably just an aesthetic thing. Badham has a shack after all, so the team (and license holder) most likely wanted to stay true to the street seen in the movies.
-
It's always fun to play against smurfing survivors, am I right?

That would be really neat. Idk how many emotes the game really needs though. Which ones would you suggest?
I'd like some kawaii emotes for male survivors, and flex emotes for female survivors. It'd also be neat to have emotes relating to certain actions like healing or opening exit gates.
-
Ebony: Killer moris everyone off of first hook.
Ivory: Killer tunnels and moris the survivor that gave them a hard time.
Cypress: Killer slugs the survivor that gave them a hard time to mori them after forcing everyone else out or sacrificing them.
-
I tend to play about 4-6 hours per day. Those 4-6 hours usually gets me up about a tier and a half. 1 hour per day is not near enough to complete the rift.
-
No, all survivors have the exact same movement speed. However, female survivors may look like they run faster because of a few reasons:
1. Female survivors take smaller steps, which is compensated with them taking more steps.
2. Female survivors run with their arms close to their body.
3. The female survivors are smaller than the male survivors.
The big point is the first. Male survivors run slightly slower, but they take slightly larger steps. Female survivors run slightly faster, but they take slightly smaller steps.
-
I'd like a full emotes system to be added when the game is in a healthy state. You can earn new emotes and swap them out for others in the customization screen.
-
Last I checked, Technician isn't working properly just like Prove Thyself. Technician should be reducing the noise made by your repairs as well as their hearing distance, but the new animations caused this to not work.
Also, for those wondering about Prove Thyself, it doesn't return the full 15% lost in CO-OP actions. Since the change, it has only been returning 12.75%.

funny how these "glitches" seem to be as common as always. and I like how the red stain lets survivors see around corners on top of their wider view to begin with, as well as low loops like this being see through for survivors to prevent any mind games, and survivors are rewarded for bein hit with a free sprint burst, and then the survivor mains show up to assure us they're just good.
EDIT also, if low ranking killers are regularly going to be sent against red rank survivors in 3/4 of their games, then the game has to be balanced for it.
I saw your edit. Neither you nor the other 3 survivors are red ranks in this clip. Just purple and green.

There's a very good pallet upstairs. This is why these maps aren't ready for BL to be removed.
It's relatively good until dropped. Then some moonwalking can catch the survivor. Even Huntress can make quick work of survivors staying near it because of her hatchets combined with the server latency

this game not ready to remove BL yet most know it I'm sure survivors are having a ball right now.
Sprint Burst and Lithe are such a pain to deal with right now.

This glitch isn't common at all. I've never experienced it, and I've only seen three instances of it on video or in screenshots.
Survivors have the red stain, which can be disabled by perks, powers, and addons. Killers have bloodlust.
Stretched resolution exists for both sides and killers have perks to increase their FOV. Besides, with how the game plays, survivors being given a first-person POV would make many people nauseous. Giving killers a third-person POV would feel wonky on nearly every killer. Just imagine blinking as Nurse.
The height and cracks in loops are fine. If you raise loops, Huntress and Deathslinger get unintentionally nerfed; if you remove the cracks, Ghost Face, Myers, and Deathslinger get unintentionally nerfed. Fortunately, with the map reworks, many of the more powerful loops are being made weaker, such as shack.
If survivors didn't get a Sprint Burst (which is 2 seconds, not even 3), then they would go down instantly like in the old Hide or Die.
Many survivor mains who gloat about their skill normally get put in their place. I can't even tell you how many survivors have flashlight clicked me to go down in seconds and disconnect.
-
Scott recommended this. It would easily be the healthiest choice for the mechanic. Killer's can no longer bloodlust Autohaven's car loops, but they still have a method of catch-up should they fall behind.

I think it's more the pallet into car loop, into house. That's kinda ridiculous and Killer's shouldn't be FORCED to instantly break every pallet they see.
I see what you mean, but the none of the pallets seen in this video are particularly strong anyways. Now, if it was an Autohaven car loop, I'd have a different opinion. Going into the house, yeah, that's annoying, but many killers, if they play aggressively, can lock the building down and down the surv fairly quickly, especially if they get trapped upstairs.

and yet the killer couldn't touch him. there's no counterplay for a killer here. Calling it a "glitch" doesn't change the reality of the in game experience.
The killer couldn't touch him because of a glitch and because he wasn't good. He's rank 11. Someone like Otz would've ended that chase fast, since none of those pallets are particularly strong vs 115% killers.
-
Do you mean the house on the opposite side of the street from the school?
If so, there has to be a two windows upstairs so the killer can't just trap the survivors. The window that always spawns at the end of the stairs isn't even good anyways. You just walk around and through the kitchen to get a free hit or down.
The two windows downstairs can be good or bad. One of them is always garbage and has an open door next to it, while the other is somewhat powerful until the door is broken. I saw somewhat because you normally run right into the shrubbery wall, causing you to lose a lot of momentum, especially if you run Lithe.
-
Devs, if you had plans to give us a bloodhunt on Christmas or New Years, then please don't. I really do not take a liking to people begging for or demanding bloodpoints.
-
This is a glitch. It rarely happens, but when it does, it can spawn something insane like two pallets at a jungle gym.
Pallet spawns like this don't make a difference when you just camp every one though. lmao.

Yeah, however that only shows what the current survivor is doing.
Imagine that you could spectate what the killer is doing all the time (and tell your friends that EVEN when they're not in the conctact with him)
It could work kind of like the overhead view in Call of Duty. Dead survivors could watch certain parts of the map through like a crow or something, while still having the option to spectate the other survivors.
-
None of them. Every killer has a following. Killers like Wraith and Legion will be played less. Also, build such as Racecar Bubba will be gone.
-
I've never even gotten bloodlust at shack. I either end the chase too fast or lose chase because there are 4 walls to block my line of sight.
-
What would we want it as? An Unnerving Presence buff.
What would we get? It's effect as a mediocre or bad DLC perk. :Snaddamn:
-
Literally nobody would willingly choose to play against a SWF, leading to a rapid demise of the game.
-
Object of Obsession is not a terribly effective perk. Your argument is invalid.
Also, Dead Hard doesn't need any changes until it can properly work on the dedicated servers.
-
Scott released a video about his thoughts on the experiment. I recommend you give it a watch. He details the ups and downs of not only the removal of bloodlust, but the devs experimenting with the removal of certain other mechanics.
-
All base movement speeds should remain untouched. Hag is already better than Trapper, and this would make the latter choice irrelevant to everyone other than Otzdarva and Tru3. Huntress and Deathslinger also do not need to move at 115%.
-
Annoying brats would abuse the mechanic to frustrate other players. It is the exact same reason people don't want open voice chat like Friday The 13th. Nobody wants some spoiled 13 year old kid saying racist slurs the whole match because they got bested in a chase.
-
I'm fine with how the shrine works right now, but I do think that any characters not tied to a DLC (Dwight, Trapper, Meg, Wraith, etc) should not have their perks appear on the shrine.

Doesn't mean it's ok to nerf it
Reduce the lunge distance; increase the speed the killer moves when lunging. Perk fixed.
-
This is why I've taken a liking to Beast of Prey. It's an incredibly underrated chase perk.
It's a permanent choice on my Ghost Face since I'm essentially in Night Shroud allowing me to crouch around loops without the survs seeing my red stain.
-
It was never a good perk to begin with.
-
I'd say to remove the 50% bonus bloodpoint offerings,
Make Fresh Flowers and Devout Wreaths Common,
Keep Sealed Envelopes Uncommon,
Make Fragrant Flowers and Ardent Wreaths Uncommon,
Make Escape Cakes and Survivor Puddings Rare,
Keep Bound Envelopes Rare,
Make Bloody Party Streamers Very Rare,
All Event bloodpoint offerings should cost 5K bloodpoints (Rare) instead of 3K bloodpoints (Common).

Yeah I tink that having it shorter and not refilling stealth as much might be better since some of his less useful addons can now be changed to work on the interrogation and the buff to the security camera sounds good
Yeah. Right now the only addons worth running are Walleye's Matchbook, Olsen's Address Book, Chewed Pen, Night Vision Monocular, and maybe the crouched movement speed addons. That leaves 13 (16 if you don't like crouched walk movement speed) out of 20 addons practically useless. Changing those up to effect your interrogation suggestion could see them all used more often.
-
I don't doubt many people will disagree with your suggestion, but I personally like it. This would be a great way to make his power more diverse, so he isn't just a Michael clone with some differences in the way his stalking works.
I would say to make the interrogation the same length as his mori animation, but only refill half of his stealth bar (effected by addons). Survivors would be revealed within a 48 meter range through killer instinct.
You could also buff the Outdoor Security Camera to make it reveal survivors by their aura instead of killer instinct after performing the interrogation action. It would also be map-wide instead of outside of the killer's terror radius.
-
I can't tell if you are agreeing or asking if I'm serious.
-
I always get sweaty groups or players who just have no idea what they're doing.
One game it's a P3 Claudette camping shack pallet, the next it's a default Ace running T L walls like a god.

You could have an actual argument like most people but instead you choose to act like a child who has broccoli on his plate.
Jason needs in this game though
Literally nobody in this discussion is arguing.
And what's wrong with broccoli? Hmm?

if you want that, then write a program that can tell the difference between a player using windows to block internet connection and the network between the player and the server having issues. if you can't join the club, even I can't tell you how to let the computer know this in a timely manner. I would (as a network certified tech) have to look at the logs of the affected computer, the affected dedicated server, know the correct packet connection and look at the packets before the disconnect to have even a CHANCE of deciding if it's intentional on the player or not. this would probably take about 2 hours of dedicated work and someone that understood how packets are done to catch the difference and that's if you could even do so!
CoD server connection is a different network connection route and type between player and server and it has had it's own connection issues that have lasted for days where you couldn't log in at all.
Genshin also is a different network connection route and type between player and server and beyond that I have no information as I can't stand that game personally.
Your xbox games work fine, again what games? what is their connection route and type? what else is it? is there spurrious information coming through that causes the console to make an illegal (code wise) call in the os? this can happen and DOES happen.
You say it's just dbd.... great way to make your case when you can't address all the possible issues. players here complain about "bugs" where survivors are silent while on the ground on pc and I am on pc and I have NEVER had this issue. I've read about so many people that have had their dbd client crash on their pc, yet my pc has no such issues, 2 times maybe a few more but well below 0.01% of the games i've played were caused by the actual client but my Operating System making incorrect calls on hardware. I have had a few network issues both my home network, my isp dropping connection, or some where in between but again less than 0.01% of the games i've played had this happen.
With all this information I'd say perhaps there's an issue you don't understand affecting your dbd client... btw... network issues has nothing to do with the dbd client what so ever so it can't be just dbd.
I'm not even playing on PC, so more than half of your argument is invalid.
Xbox titles include: Halo, GoW, L4D, Need For Speed, Titanfall, Watch Dogs, and several others.
Just because you haven't experienced an issue, doesn't mean it's not there. I know for a fact you've experienced survivors making no noise. Everyone has. Crashing can occur for several reasons. Streamers have had the game crash from just pouncing as Victor. Guess they ruined the match and deserve a penalty?
-
If just want the game to recognize the difference between losing connection and quitting a match. DBD is the only game I ever have connection issues with while playing.
CoD works fine.
Genshin works fine.
All of my Xbox games work fine.
It's just DBD.

People are constantly thinking they're better than everyone else. I just say "screw it." Let them feed their ego. It'll come back to bite them later.
-
Springtrap. Bleck. Ewwey. Nasty.
-
Someone voted for the duration of Bloodhunts to be increased? Really?
-
PWYF is incredibly powerful on killers who can instant down survivors due to the player only losing one stack rather than two. I really like to use it on Ghost Face to crouch around the map at mach speed.
-
@VikingWilson said:
Run speed. Increase all killer base speeds by 0.4%
Movement speeds are definitely something that does not need increased.
Bloodlust already needs removed as is. So base movement speeds do not need increased.
-
Clown is already confirmed to be the next killer receiving a buff, so I'm gonna go with Trapper.
-
This is easily a surprise to many, but I love Hawkins as survivor. The actual map itself isn't fun or interesting, but I really like the concept of having to create your own loops by dropping unsafe pallets.
It also has the best pallet in the game, the office pallet. It is so much fun to bully the killer with.
-
After finding out long ago that MoM stacks are obtained by taking the Deathslinger's chain (with the chance of not even getting injured), I have been running the perk a lot more. Also, easy WGLF + MoM is amazing.
