I swear to God.

It depends. Freddy, Spirit, and Deathslinger are a sign I'm gonna have a bad time because they have insanely good chase for no effort whatsoever. Usually, though, this means that the people who play them are pretty stupid, because otherwise they'd be playing someone who takes effort to learn, so I can at least be rewarded for being better at the game than them instead of punished. But if I'm going against a Nurse, I get nervous because the ONLY people who play Nurse anymore are the people who are really, really good with her and can destroy anyone and everyone with a blindfold on.
As a Killer, Ace. For some reason, Aces are usually really good, especially if they're wearing his DLC-exclusive tuxedo outfit. Unless I'm playing Survivor, in which case they're about as smart as a Bill player.

-
Legion. How are you supposed to play Killer when you picked Survivor?
-
I think it should have a shorter cooldown, it should take less time to reset a pallet, it should give Survival bloodpoints, and reset pallets should stun the Killer for longer.

it's definitely not a trash build lmao. Sloppy and nurses is great on any m1 killer. Why do you think it's bad?
Well let’s see, first of all, between Perks like We’ll Make It and Inner Strength being popular, and the fact that the god status was removed from instaheals and dispersed to medkits as a whole, there are plenty, PLENTY of commonplace ways to heal so incredibly fast that neither Sloppy nor Nurse’s see much use. So those two Perks are now completely void. Second of all, why make them waste time healing which requires you to chase them more, when you can just, you know, stalk them? It renders their healing useless and you get much more bang for your buck out of one use of Night Shroud.
Those are the two primary reasons: Healing has been given steady buffs ever since its original nerf, and half of Ghostface’s entire power is rendering healing utterly pointless. You can end chases much more quickly if you stalk effectively, and now you’re totally free to use half of your Perk slots on something that bolsters Ghostface’s weaknesses rather than pretends to play to his strengths, i.e. a stall or map control Perk to compensate for his lack of mobility.
And before you say anything about getting revealed before you can stalk someone: If they can reveal you while you’re stalking, they can reveal you while you’re not stalking. Tru3face can still be revealed just as easily as normal Ghostface. If you get revealed trying to go for a free hit instead of stalking, congrats, you have no power AND the target is completely unharmed. Now you have to wait for your power to come back before you can put your “good” build into action. At least with stalking, the target can be one-shot.
TL;DR: Tru3face is an inefficient, wasteful way to use both Night Shroud AND half your Perk slots.

The double cooldown addons are the only good addons for GF. I don't disagree about everyone using the actual best Ghostface build in the game tho. Kinda how a lot of Survivors use adrenaline, DS, and Dead Hard.
Tru3face is a trash build and anyone who think it’s his best build needs to put down Ghostfaceand be a Wraith main instead.

The funny thing is, everytime i come across ghostface. Often the the first way the whole group figures out it's a ghostface, is due to the expose effect.
I wish that were me.

Discordance is an amazing perk what are you on about 👀
If you're playing an incredibly high-mobility Killer who can get to the gen before two Survivors can hammer it out, AND you have no game sense that would allow you to allude that the Survivors are there without the use of a Perk, then sure. But if you're not, meh.

Corporations: Celebrate pride month with us because we care about the gays we promise
Literally every LGBT person ever:
-
Play as:
Huntress and Nurse—Too hard and frustrating to learn, and ultimately not worth it.
Trapper—His traps don't exist.
Clown—His bottles don't do anything.
Myers—105 Killer who gets cucked by Spine Chill.
Hag—Confusing.
Play against:
Ghostface—No one stalks with him, they just equip Sloppy with double cooldown addons and play Tru3face. W key warriors with no red stain.
Wraith—For some reason, I just can't see his shimmering. Even if he's right there and I'm looking straight at him, I can't see him. And believe it or not, I actually like using my eyes to visually sense my opponent in video games, especially when they're both silent and fast. Also, most Wraiths are sweatier than a man trapped in a burning building.
Spirit—Can't tell where she is. While she moves almost twice as fast me. And can figure out exactly where I am by having ears.
Deathslinger—He looks at you and you're dead. Reacting to your opponent by pulling out a gun does not belong in a predictive, melee-based game.
Hag—Bad Hags are insanely easy to loop and very boring to get perma-camped by. Good Hags are living proof that this Killer is completely broken.
-
Survivor:
- Self Care—There are so many faster, better ways of healing.
- Urban Evasion—If you actually know where and when to crouch, you don't need this Perk.
- Better Together—Encourages grouping up and gives you and your team data that isn't usually helpful. It's Bond+Prove Thyself thrown into a melting pot and made substantially worse.
- Windows of Opportunity—"Duh" -Billboard Eyeliner
- Literally any of Dwight's Perks—Bond is for people who can't be self-sufficient, Prove Thyself is just Better Together but it tries to mitigate the ineffectiveness of grouping up on gens, and Leader is... Leader is Leader.
Killer:
- NOED—You're either using it because you can't pressure gens or because you're playing any non-ranged Killer who isn't Spirit at red ranks and good Survivors are literally completely immortal while gens fly. 99% of time, though, it's the former.
- Whispers—You wouldn't need it if you had good tracking and game sense.
- Zanshin Tactics—Windows of Opportunity for Killers.
- All of Legion's Perks—Discordance is to Whispers as Prove Thyself is to Better Together, Mad Grit is Agitation but worse in every aspect and is only useful if you can't hit people while carrying, and Iron Maiden is only useful if you spend way too much time checking lockers—or you just hate Head On, which is fair.
- Beast of Prey—Makes Bloodlust stronger. Enough said.
-
Trying to scare a Killer main by holding M1 is like trying to scare a Vietnam vet by pointing a knife at them.

I think the reason why they allow it to have a special interaction with killer perks is because it has an effect based on a larger group of perks, the same as small game, having an effect based on totems which under normal circumstances has no real use, unless other perks on either side are used.
In other words, saying soul guard is OP is like saying small game is OP, but only when the survivor is running Borrowed time with it
The difference is, Small Game doesn’t have any special effect on Hex Perks. It doesn’t make you cleanse Hex Totems faster, it doesn’t only work against Hex Totems—It doesn’t do anything to Hex Totems that it doesn’t do to dull Totems.
Small Game is a counter to Hex Perks because it lets you disable them more easily, but not because it has any sort of unique interaction with Hex Totems. Soul Guard, on the other hand, was deliberately and specifically designed to have a special secondary effect if the Killer brings a Hex Perk into the lobby.

IT can be about latency, on her screen she was probably well away from the locker before you even got to it.
My Internet is fine and this still happens to me more often than not, especially when I'm Frenzying as Legion.
-
I'd tunnel the Claudettes if I could find them.
-
- Has a specific special interaction with other Perks which the devs have said they don’t want to be a thing
- Punishes the Killer for merely equipping already-weak, high-risk Perks
- Two second chance Perks in one when the meta is already running three or four second chance Perks
I don’t care if it’s “situational” or not. Putting this Perk in the game is a terrible, terrible idea.

You mean the heather that runs like a mannequin with a sheen of snail slime on her skin sometimes?
Look it’s never been any secret that there has had to be graphical concessions in DBD , such as characters looking a little bit last gen, in order for the WHOLE map and assets to be loading into the system memory so that there isn’t any “pop in”. But the DBD character models are definitely substantially better than PS2 models.
Huge disagree there. SH3’s model may be way more low-poly or whatever, but the lack of detail in DBD’s model is astounding. It looks like they took her old model, upscaled the resolution, and then simplified it down to the point where it looks like the textures on her skin haven’t finished loading.

Look I’m a massive SH nerd, but why are so many that play this game obsessive about their need for carbon copy replicas put into this game?!
Why?!
What about the minor differences is causing you bowel irritating anxiety?!?!
Just relax.
I never even played SH3 and she doesn't look anything alike her original. What bothers me even more is that I took a peek at actual gameplay of SH3, and yeah, somehow the Heather from 17 years ago looks better graphically than the one BHVR has in their game.
-
I think it's the lack of freckles. Her face in DBD is as smooth as ice cream.

Peanits was literally just telling the truth and correcting OP's disingenuous claim. And if you think the in-game model actually looks worse in DbD than it did in SH3, then I don't know what to tell you. I wouldn't be able to play SH3 on a screen larger than a portable TV due to how ######### those graphics look compared to nowadays.
At least Konami knows how to render freckles.

The one on the left is a pre-rendered image, where the LOD is only limited by how much time you had to render it. It's not the same as the actual gameplay. Here's what she looks in the actual game:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/T9SNUX78UY0T/image.png
The character model used in Dead by Daylight is the same one used in the cinematic trailer, but the level of detail is reduced so it's able to render in real time. Here's what she looks like in full detail, if you want to do a proper side by side comparison.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4SGE7A4HF8S3/deadbydaylight-chapterxvi-survivor.png
For the record, the Dead by Daylight subreddit is completely independent. We do not influence them or the way they moderate in any way. If you have an issue with it, I would suggest bringing it up with someone from their team.
I know you were hoping that this would save your hide, but even after seeing what Heather looks like outside from pre-rendered cinematics, DBD’s in-game model STILL looks worse than the in-game model from almost two decades ago.
Bruh moment.
-
Yeah, that's what I want to do to the cosmetic as well.
-
I’m just mad because it’s Claudette and it’s ugly. Two bad factors.

Because most Survivors suck absolute pee pee and this grants me permission to play the video game.

Someone mentioned the Silent Hill nurse for Nurse, but I'd rather see the Nurse from SH2, because the nurses from SH5 look like cosplayers and kinda sexy, not precisely scary in my opinion.
I've never played Silent Hill, but weren't the nurses in SH2 deliberately dressed provocatively to symbolize James's sexual insecurities or something?

I'm talking about the killer's use of the perk, not complaining about being found. So nothing is "on me."
Being bad at evasion is on you, and seeing how everyone has already explained to you why they'd go to a gen with CI, I don't feel the need to.

Yeah. IDK about you but I don't start sprinting at the beginning of the trial. That's a great way to be the first found, especially against a stealth killer. And IDK about you, but my survivors walk pretty slowly compared to killers. Especially killers like Nurse, Wraith or Billy. So they can cover a lot more ground in 5-10 seconds than I can when I'm walking.
Corrupt Intervention blocks the 3 gens farthest from the Killer, which means you spawned nearly as far from the Killer as possible. If they have time to walk across the map and you're still not gone, that is entirely on you.
-
I would like her a lot more if she wasn't genderbent Quentin.
Seriously, what is up with her face?

Pyramid Head's power allows him to hook someone without picking him up. Ergo, he can ignore DS.

Silent Hill is the best thing they could have gone for. Candyman, Pennywise, and Jason are all trash.

Sometimes there is no other option. But hey, lets dismiss it again as "reckless Survivors doing stupid stuff" instead of just seeing valid arguments, eh?
There is always another option. It's called not being stupid. Unless you're the only non-slugged Survivor, in which case you've lost anyway, there will always be something to divert the Killer.

@Aven_Fallen said:
It ensures that someone who is healed from the Dying State has a chance to get away instead of simply being smacked down again.
Sounds fair. Will probably not be used anyway.
No, it doesn't. You want someone to not go down right after being picked up? Don't pick them up in the Killer's face.
