Uh... Play a bit better and dont rely on camping with noed and no way out? I'm having zero trouble as killer. Any loss I face is because I got outplayed in chase.
Not true. You probably have never faced good swf if you think so. Most games are easily winnable as killer but then when you face 5K hour each swf you will be put back on reality. This is reason why you should always equip noed just in case. They will gen rush you so fast that you stand no chance and they are reason why killers should get lot more buffs to compete. They all ofcourse run loops smoothly and don't make mistakes. Tunneling barely work agains't them they need only few minutes to complete all gens and someone will bodyblock for tunneled one when he is about to go down. They abuse survivor sided maps. I will not ever again play Oni after facing one they really show how weak killer he is.

The range should be bit bigger where it activates maybe 10m would be good and timer longer maybe 45s.

BHVR said the win condition for killers is based off of kills, so the number of hooks is meaningless, and the entity’s feelings are meaningless.
Well entity based it on both kills and hooks. Well if bhvr considers only kills to be win they should change then how entity feels. I have gotten entity hungers while 3-4K and it feels pretty ridicious I though I won but then depip...

This is ridiculous. I just had four games in a row with players DCing and giving up on hook. All players with paid RE cosmetics from today. In all four games the killer didn’t even camp or tunnel. These players just “gave up” because they were either found first or just downed. This really baffles me as to why you would spend $18 bucks on skins then not even play the game properly. It’s so frustrating that so many players are like this, ruining the game. How are you supposed to get better if you don’t even try?
‘At this point, I’m all for making disconnects having harsher penalties/longer timeouts. And maybe players who let themselves go on hook an egregious amount of times (especially consecutively) can get a different type of penalty. Idk, I’m just over it. I want to keep playing but this ######### is deflating. Even going into this update KNOWING there will be a lot of DC’ing, still couldn’t prepare me for this. This is just a blatant buzzkill- more than usual.
‘Anyone else tired of this b.s? To the point where you just turn the game off and play something else, and hope when you return most of the quitters will be off?

I had 2 killers dc in today in a row very annoying when cakes in the games. At least when you're killer if one survivor dc:s you can still salvage bp by playing bit nicer or by farming.

No the killer has teh objective to kill you by any means he see fit. He only has that objective.
the killer in this case is doing his own objective, and looking for the last survivor, the last survivor is refusing to do his objective so he's stalling the game, simple as that.
The killer can chose any route, he doesn't need to hook someone to kill. he has the options to hit once and let go and look for others. He has the option to mori survivors, he has the option to allow survivors to bleed out, he has the option to kill them by sacrificing them on the hooks. These are all part of the game.
As survivor your objective is LITERALLY shown on the screen: X ammount of GENERATORS remaining, fix them. Your teammate is down, you should probably help him.
As killer he has nothing on the screen. His objective is simple. And he fulfills that objective by actively looking for you.
Killer objective is to get as many hooks possible if you bleed all survivors on ground get the 4K but as result you will get entity hungers you failed objective which is to please entity. Also moring everyone with tombstone also result in entity hungers. 3K is already enough for killer objective to get ruthless killer even in lower ranks merciless killer. Which pleases the entity. 4th kill is only plus not required. Survivors objective is to escape and hiding is valid stragedy for last survivor to achieve that if killer keeps second last slugged. Doing gens in that situatuon is not usually realistic option to achieve escape.

Unfortunatly there are archives and achievements that require the killer to get a 4k. There needs to be a counter to hatch or these will be complete RNG.
Then slugging for 4K is fair and most games in fact you can get 4K. If you don't find the last. Finding the hatch is usually in killer favour with faster movement speed.

Most wesker I have played agains't have not tunneled or camped. Just met few who camped or tunneled but they were not good. Most matches weskers have won my solo teammates go down quickly and if they don't they don't do gens.

Sorry but being able to use it more than once per hook state is abusive.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3161431#Comment_3161431
How long does unhooking and healing take? Does it take 90 seconds? It does not. You need to remember that most of the game as killer is you chase one person while everyone else can do whatever they want. Mathematically during the first five minutes of any game you can expect a killer to be keeping one person busy during the majority of that time. This is a fact based on the idea that chases take a long time.
Killer's speed is X/4 compared to one survivor. If two people are still on generators that is 2x relative to the killer. If we consider that one person is always on the hook and one person is always being chased ( which is a false premise) then the killer needs a multiple of 8 to "catch up" to two survivors.
It doesn't take a math genius to prove that base regression speed for killers is too slow.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3161755#Comment_3161755
Do you know the problem with the scenario you listed? You decided to finish the gen before you rescued your friend. If you always rescue the friend first then camping becomes far less likely.
The problem is that you know that finishing the gen first and getting the rescue right before the next stage is a better outcome. What you fail to realize is that when hook timers were increased it was so you have more time to rescue against a camper. It was not intended as "more time for you to finish gens before making a rescue".
The problem is that is exactly what most people want.
No it was not just would kill camping so that why it was nerfed so campers don't get punished. I did my last basement bubba thinking it would not be viable anymore before update but barely no-one uses it so facecamping bubba is still easy 4K and if survivors know what they're doing still easy 2K.

Only thing Im disapointed is reassurance being nerfed to ground. I agree it was bit too strong before but now it's useless. I know campers complained lot about it but camping is unfun playstyle for survivors. You could make the reassurance timer be 60s and the activation range bigger that could make it already usable. I think it would be fair to deactivate in endgame.

It's only 50% now on survivor? I though it was going to be 100%.

@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
That perk had to be changed. You can't just have ability to hold hostage someone forever or just make someone stay alive no metter what even at end game where killer has nothing better to do since gates are 99% and no gens left.
"then go for the rescuer..." Sure, so if I play weak killer with no instadown atm and they can just run to exit anyway while I can't even secure a kill. No can't do, sorry.
That does not justifyi nerfing it to ground they should extended the range which it activates and increase the time to 60s and I would be fine it deactivate in endgame.

@Pulsar said:
I try not to blame people for it at that point.

I don't think that is reason usually. Once had this freddy ramdomly starting facecamp me while everyone was on dying hook in 3vs1 situation and still 2 gens left. There were 3 cakes in the game so I was not pleased. But before he didn't camp and went for chases but I still want to know why he did that. Maybe it was revenge that is my quess maybe I have facecamped him before?

The survivor has to make mistake 10s still is enough even if killer blocks.

you could have 10 seconds of endurance and 10% haste, or you could have 20, practically ensuring that anyone you save will 100% of the time make it to a tile and survive even from basement, when not even the 10 seconds could guarantee this with some well-timed killer bodyblocks. why wouldn't you run the perk
10s is enough to run out of basement and to get safe.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
I don't instead understand the correlation between those perks and blast mine. They obviously want survivors to plan when they put down a blast mine instead of spamming it on cooldown. Should it get some sort of compensatory buff? Obviously. But their logic is apparent.
Already weak perk don't need that.

@Spirit_IsTheBest said:

@Rovend said:
The only time i can think of getting value using this perk is when paired with
Flip-Flop + Unbreakable + Tenacity.
Other than that, it is extremely situational and relies more on the killer being careless than you.
Flip flop is enough and you just need one teammate to be around so killer does not lift you immediatelly and if they do your teammates does the pallet safe. But I have had teammates failing the pallet safe while the perk was activated so it's only useful for swf.

Well we're not gonna do what Friday the 13th does with its survivors. If you start adding special stuff like personal attributes and stats to the different characters, 1 is going to be picked all the time and the other 80%+ of the characters will never be touched. That's what I see every time I get on F13th.
I see different survivors in Friday 13th but the good ones are lot more common.

This was exactly my point. And with the increase in base kit BT going to 10 seconds along with 10% increase in speed it effectively means that every single survivor gets old BT for free with an increased haste effect to go with it. Had nothing against the 5 seconds (except in end game hence this post) but with the increase to 10 seconds thats only 2 seconds short of the perk BT it just allows so many free escapes.
Count to 10 and then down and before you had to count to 12 and they still had ds so be thankful. Just carry the downed survivor as far away you can from gates and still you can always go aftef the unhooker. I did that usually before so never got hit with ds and I usually lot of times managed to down the ds user too when they tried to abuse bt so then I just waited 60s to hook. But if there is 4 survivors alive you have failed you should at least get 1 kill before endgame in bad matches.
-
I might buy whole chapter but at least Wesker and Rebecca.

Looks like we found 1/3 of that troll team.
If you hide all match doing nothing why would anyone save you at endgame and sacrifise themself. Like I said we always try to save teammates who do the objective and help if he is tunneled or camped. Even we help those hiders if it's possible but we don't take risks for them. Yeah but your kind of person who judge all swf based on one.
-
@ad19970 said:
The suggestions you are making are more nerfs to camping than tunneling. Inrceasing the hook phase duration would mainly nerf camping, as killer would have to camp longer for the survivor to be sacrificed.
I definitely think that each hook phase duration should be increased from 60 to 70 seconds. I would also love to see the unhook animations have their duration reduced a bit, but I think far more important would be to remove hook grabs. That is an absolute must in my opinion.
I do think that the nerf to tunneling is good at the moment. Survivors need this big time. Maybe there could be better solutions down the line, but survivors being able to take an extra hit after being unhooked for a long enough duration is very good in my opinion. I also don't think it's bad that survivors can bodyblock with it. It just discourages the killer a bit more to stay near hooked survivors, or return to them immediately after they have been unhooked. And if they bodyblock, they are free to be tunneled again.
Yeah I agree the hook graps are very inconsistent too you might get grapped even if you stopped unhooking. Also I've been lately getting lot of grabs after the unhooking has already happened. Not that I usually camp but some survivors run to do unhook while I chase them.
-
It just preference too female skins feel more smoother. But if they would add cool male character as survivors for example Jack sparow I would buy him.

When SWFs run out of killers to bully, they start doing it to their soloQ teammates. SWFs are and have always been the root of all evil in dbd.
So you judge all swf:s based on one swf wow! And when I get toxic behaviour from plagues like bleeding me out purposelly then closing hatch front of me while puking on me and headnodding ofcourse. I don’t think so. I just played a game against a Myers’s and he took me out of the game with mori and I didn’t get hooked once. I was the one doing all the gens/saves too. Unfair and broken.
That his add on tombstone which makes him able to kill survivors. But he has to stalk survivors to get it pretty long and there is easy counter to it jump in locker. Then he has to hook you.

But Killer isn't much better?
28 characters but always the same gameplay loop against always the same survivor characters.
And the different killer powers lose their charm pretty fast. Just like playing against 28 different characters and using different tactics loses it after a while.
It's just the usual ring around the Rosie with different tools.
Survivor at least can play with friends, a reason that kept me going in league of legends for 10 years.
That's shy they ahould add 2 killer mode so I can play with my friends to kill.

@TheSubstitute said:
My unpopular opinion
I hate Nurse complaint threads and also when people don't understand how MMR works.
MMR, when it works, should place you against other people at your MMR. If, and I'll use Nurse since she's the complaint d'joure, you are up against a Nurse that beats you there are a few possibilities:
(1) The Nurse is in your MMR but, for some reason that may or may not be your fault, you lost. If the Nurse is in your MMR then that Nurse is being beaten by other survivors at your MMR but, for whatever reason you lost. Maybe you're just not that good at versing Nurse but you're good enough at versing Huntress, as an example, you're at that MMR.
(2) MMR is not working that day and you got placed against a much better Killer than you are a Survivor. In that case, if you don't lose, something is broken in Survivor design.
(3) You met a Nurse that MMR is still placing accurately. Maybe they look like a level one Nurse but this is their second account and they played for thousands of hours on their first account. They'll be out of your MMR soon enough; or
(4) The Nurse is smurfing.
If you're complaining on the forums about Nurse and you say you met a god tier Nurse that's very unlikely unless you are a god tier survivor. Unless, of course, MMR is not working or the Nurse is smurfing.
We don't know the kill stats. Nurse might be balanced at high level. Or she might not be. I don't know and neither do the nerf Nurse thread authors. I do well against the Nurses I face but I'm not a god tier survivor and I'm not facing god tier Nurses. And, as BHVR has stated there is only a very small number of people at high MMR, most people reading this won't be god tier either.
Nurse doesn't stomp at low level, is a toss-up at mid level and is one of two Killers that seem to stand a chance at high level. Most of her supposed invincibility comes from survivors who have bought into that myth sabotaging their team and either DCing or dying on hook. I die more to Blight than to Nurse but that's probably because I understand Nurse's mechanics better than Blight's mechanics.
Can people get back to complaining about NOED please? At least those threads were more entertaining. Or, at least, when posting about Nurse post about something that makes sense such as the extra speed from distance add ons that fortunately gets removed tomorrow or even interaction with Exposed effects, instead of just the 'There's no counterplay!!!' threads ad nauseam.
Nurse does not first stomp on low level as they're still learning but I do believe they stomp once they get their feel on blinks. Low level survivors just hold W so even not so good nurse should beat them. But could be nurse stomps more on middle mmr. I have had games my team losing in seconds to nurse with lethal pursuer and startruck. One match there was kate with no mither nurse downed her 2s to match then I took protection hit and ofcourse she had startruck that is like basekit for nurse anyway I was so surpriced that fast down. Then she downed rest of team with startruck once she hooked kate. I don't have idea why spawning all survivors together is survivor offering that is killers dream. I do have faced good nurses they slug usually it's not fun but they probably want just quick wins. Usually I have only bad teammates when facing nurse surpricingly you would think agains't best killer you would get good teammates. They go down in 10-20s always. Then I loop the nurse 2 minutes and get facecamped...

I wasn't intending to squash any dreams, I too wish for some game mode variety.
However I became convinced the notion of two or more killers (plus 8 survs and what something like 13 gens?) is not possible back while they were developing Nemesis.
The story is they toyed with a third zom zom as an Iri add-on, and that hurt game performance so badly they scrapped the idea & changed the add-on. Now I assume they develop using bad-ass PC's, so if they couldn't handle a third zombie on them, what hope is there for my lowly Xbox?
2 killers vs 5 survivors then if that's the limit. I don't care if it's balanced I just want to play killer with friend.

Okay,you mean his optics. Yeah, he looks somewhat derpy and I wouldn't mind a glow up.
A lot of players also seem to hate his power and call it weak, while I myself "admire its purity ". Its deceptively simple, but bypasses a lot of the survivors defensive techs by putting then directly into the dying state.
The only thing any his power that I really despise is und juice mechanic. It would be rad if survivors regenerated their stalk juice slowly over time and especially if a sacrificed survivors stalk juice would be distributed amongst the remaining survivors.
Losing a pretty full survivors to a hook suicide or their "buddies" unwillingness to save them can screw you over big time.
Yeah I had tombstone and ended killing those survivors who had not been stalked much. It's very outdated mechanic to run out of stalk it should recover slowly. Other than that I find him fine but maybe he should be also faster in tier 1 and at very least better lunge so schratched mirror might actually be decent to use.

The most significant I have seen is that console players are limited in the amount of commands they can put on buttons. There are instances where they need to throw the pallet or rewove chains or heal or vault, but it's all the same button. So they end up slow vaulting over to you, or healing someone on the ground instead of throwing the pallet. If you ever see someone do something really silly at a pallet/window/locker, it's probably a console player.
You can change the buttons but I have not done that because I want fix gens and drop pallets from RB. So I will keep dropping pallets or heal or vault when I should not until they add more settings.

I think it's not fair to dismiss only one faction for trying to fulfill their goal. Survivors want to escape, kills want to kill all 4 survivors. ( game recognizes both with bonus reward of 5000 for survivors and 2500 for killers. )
Feel free to dismiss the next questions if you think theyre just us vs them whataboutism:
Should we tell survivors too to be happy with just powering the gates and then offer themselves up? Thats about 71% of the survivor objectives done (5 gens + open gates + escape)
So slug for 4K if you want it so badly. Killer has better chance finding hatch first so you still have good chance to get it done. 3K is win like 3 man escape is win for survivors yeah your comparision is bad. 4K is equal of 4 escapes. 3K is equal of 3 escapes and so on.

Farming is special thing. Not the norm. If you play the game normally, you will 100% get more BP on avarage when playing killer. Or said in a dofferent way... The best way to prestige your nea is to play killers as spend points on survivor. That's a little bit messed up. Don't you think?
Well it's not actually worth to play killer for bp anymore because BBQ bonus was taken away. I get usually 15-25K as survivor but matches are shorter than as killer. And as killer I get 20-38K but matches last longer. But however if there is cake then killer is worth for playing bp. But I never earn 40K as killer have done it couple times as survivor when killer has camped 3 gens and match has lasted long. When I have played killer normally too usually last survivor earns more bp than me or as much if I let her have hatch.
