Nothing about that had to do with Wraith, it had to do with perks that improve gen regression. You're not really arguing with anyone, just bemoaning your point and trying to pull other factors in. My point was that he is a killer who survivors literally have the ability to stun when he is trying to traverse the map without even needing pallets, which hurts him exponentially in a 3 gen scenario. Whether you were ready or equipped to take advantage of that isn't relevant to whether its something that can and does hurt him in that scenario.

Wraith is strong in 3 gen situation believe or not. And I think points I stated proves that. I don't usually use flaslights and even they get drained eventually. Maybe they would helped in this scenario but we could not know we were going to face wraith.

  • Tunneling is not toxic it's unfun for sure but it's stragedy to win and easiest way to do so is to get one out. However it can be toxic if killers just throws the game to get you and ignores every other aspect of the game and then facecamps and hit you on hook. But if it's bubba then it's just his nature. Tunneling and facecamping in endgame is perfectly fair and no-one should complain about that.

Why would killer mobility matter if they need to leave the gens? Any time away from gens is time not protecting them, and wraith needs to be able to uncloak and get his hit before the survivor reaches a pallet or window, which is extremely depentant on the match up to that point. He can even be flashlight stunned and waste even more time, doesnt even need to be looking at you. Considering how absolutely awful he actually is in 3 gen scenarios, I was honestly kinda baffled he was thrown in there.

Also congratulations on living through a worst case scenario. it happens with this game unfortunately.

Not every squad has flaslights and once I had wraith defending 3 gen area with overcharge + call of brine + eruption in crotus pensylvia he is fast while cloaked and can easily injure survivors so I think you underestimate him. That game lasted forever as well but that one we lost because mistakes by my teammates going down when gen was close to completed.

I completely agree on a time limit, but I think 40m is excessive. Honestly, 20-30m would be fine IMO. If a match has been going for 20-30m and it still hasn't ended, something's up.

20 min would be too short survivors could hide. 30 min could be fine but for defending 3 gen area it probably would not be enough for survivors or killer to win it. 40 min would still leave plenty of time for killer or survivors to win the 3 gen situation. Maybe 35 minutes then?

or just a patient group with the ability to heal away from the gens. Countering 3 gen strats is boring, but as soon as healing or coordination come into play anything less than instadowns will lose most of the time. Base gen regression is painfully slow, and if the killer doesn't have gen kick perks even self caring via the perk or CoH can keep up if multiple survivors can juggle properly (which does NOT require comms, just bodies that are alive, vertical, and know what they're doing.)

She did have gen regress perks and we did heal pretty coordinatedly but if we left the gens even for few secs they were already regressed from 80% to 20%. The 3 gen situation requires perfect play from survivors but killer can make multiple mistakes. We would probably won agains't most killers this scenario. But nurse, blight and wraith excel in this situation and any killer with mobility.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3156187#Comment_3156187

First of all, if she's getting hits that fast, that is also on survivors or matchmaking.

Second of all, solo queue issues is not a Nurse issue, it's a solo queue issue that needs its own addressings.

She did miss multiple blinks so then she just kept kicking the gens if this continue too long eventually survivors make mistake as well. She did many mistakes but slow down perks and nurse ability to move quickly around map helped her recover. Maybe to fix 3 gen situation there should time limit on games let's say 40 minutes that should be enough for killer to get 4K if there is only 2 survivors left hiding they should get sacrificed instantly to entity after that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3156075#Comment_3156075

Getting 3-genned is on survivors. Break it early. Even if the killer ignores elsewhere to patrol the 3-gen, all it takes to break it is have more than 1 of the 3 gens being worked on simultaneously.

Nurse can move so fast between the gens and get hits so it's imposible situation to win in soloQ when we have to spend time healing gens got regressed. Maybe very good coordinated swf could won.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

So how survivors will counter it? It is insta-mori and there is no counter for it.

Just get good, stop asking help to devs. Use your own skills.

Should work on lockers if you have hooked that survivor once or if he is last one so survivors can't just hide in locker denying the tombstone kill forever.

  • @OpalescentHare said:

It's the kind of perk where it was useful before, and is still useful—but in different ways. Now you can use DH to check for NOED, take a protection hit while injured, maybe avoid trading hooks in some camping situations, etc. I prefer DH a lot more now since it works better with For the People now that I can take a hit for someone as soon as I pick them up (and giving them a better chance at survival than I could if I had old DH).

I only chose other since I wonder if reverting it to 1 second endurance would be be an overall improvement for use, or if it's better to keep it at .5 second endurance. Since I can imagine arguments for both.

The 1s would be too much maybe 0,7s because sometimes if killer start hitting same time the 0,5s just ends. But I think it's fine now. But it was not that bad before I would just removed the immortality from it so then you can get hits through it.

So only when 3 gens are left, they take 80 seconds?

To be fair I kind of would find a system where gens take 10 seconds less for every gen repaired, starting at 110 seconds, interesting. But could end up nerfing killers again, because killers are the strongest at 2 or 1 gen left to be repaired.

Personally, I would prefer the devs to fix the actual problems in the game directly, instead of changing other aspects that indirectly fixes certain problems.

I feel like in general, people dislike how multiple slowdown perks still synergize well. It's rarely a complaint about one particular slowdown perk. So before nerfing any slowdown perks directly, I feel like BHVR should maybe try some changes that make slowdown and regression perks stack less effectively. That or add some cap to certain stacking effects, including action speed buffs and debuffs, as well as caps to how high regression can go. Maybe cap it at 250%, so Overcharge and Call of Brine have at least a bit of synergy, but not as much as they currently have.

In my many games my team has gotten last gen 90-95% done before it has regressed back to 0% so the 90s is bit too long now. I would be fine to make first 2 or 3 gens to 100s to compensate that would buff most killers as many don't want to play an hour game to camp 3 gen area even if there is high chance of winning doing so. But neccesary gens don't have to be so long if survivors would have secondary objectives like finding part for gen.

  • @Biscuits said:

You can patrol a 3 gen from the start and never lose. It's pretty nasty on killers like plague. I tried to warn people about the kick meta but they were too busy making fun of people for using dead hard.

Yeah have to say I did this once in haddonfield when all 3 gens were in main house and that was easy win. I used call of brine + jolt + eruption. Well I could used overcharge as well but went with noed to quarantee the win.

  • It's too powerful in 3 gen situations so to solve this I think last gen needs to be back 80s and I would be fine overcharge getting nerf. I don't think anyone wants to play games which last almost an hour.

  • @Saitamfed said:

I am from the times where nurse had only fatigue and +5 blinks... yet back in the day I was able to beat nurses... I know, it's not easy to do but you can do beat a nurse... she is heavily penalized for missing a blink, it's not a "oh, she misses, she has another blink"... if she misses both blinks, she has to wait three seconds until she gets the second blink again... every killer will down you eventually if they've set your mind in doing so... the problem with nurse is that you can not do the same "hold W brainlessly" strategy so... learn to count her, Is it hard? Yes, but hard doesn't mean impossible.

Nurse is just bit too strong now defending 3 gens. Last match agains't her she started to do that once survivors started getting upper hand. The match lasted very long and eventually she won. We almost got two gens in that area done but it was not enough she missed multiple swings but even if she landed one that was enough pressure to gens to regress down and we had to heal. In soloQ this games was imposible to win only very good swf could won this scenario.

  • @Xernoton said:

I'm affraid that would make the game borderline unplayable for killers. Think about it: How many times do you see survivors running the best builds, items, addons and offerings and how many are there per match? I know that not everyone is like that but often enough you see lobbies so stacked with items, addons and offerings that you know for a fact the game was rigged against you.

Killers is very playable now and was before too but just you can't win every game. But survivors already has the potantial to get more bp. When I sometimes farm with last 2 they get each 40K or close but I only get 35K. So survivors already can earn more. Both sides bp earning should definetely be increased.

  • Still not working have tried it forever and I should definetely got it already.

similarly there are places in the map where you can stand and see both exit gates, eliminating any and all chances for the survivors survival.

Some maps though the exits are very far away just had that situation my last match and I would really needed that 4K because I got entity hungers with 3K.

No. I've seen that the survivor wasn't jumping in, I mashed the button on approach and saw the prompt pop up if but for a second, and then the survivor jumps in. He wasn't even waiting on the hatch as I came closer.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3155244#Comment_3155244

We pretty much raced to the hatch from the same staring point, after he was clicking and clearly wanting to drop a nearby pallet to stun me, and his prompt beat out mine, and it seemed like he was going through me, and he just jumped in. If it was as simple as "You have the advantage because you're faster" we wouldn't be having this discussion, would we? And I'm far from the only person who complains about hatch. There just hasn't been a focus on it recently.

If you stand in right spot you can block the hatch so survivor can't enter in sounds you got unlucky.

  • @Omans said:

Solo survivors >> low tier killers > average swf >>> nurse/Blight = top swf

Solo survivors have little chance if the killer has equal skill and decides to play "dirty"

Average swf < decent killer is enough to beat them < good swf = blight < seal team swf = nurse

  • If the 4K is that important just slug for it. Hatch is fine it's good mechanic. Killer actually has clearly better chance finding it with faster movement speed too.

  • He needs better turning on console and all his techs should be added to console too like hug tech. Hit boxes should be also be bigger on console overall for all killers or better auto aim.

  • @ad19970 said:

It would never be a solution to shorten the gap between solo and swf survivors, because some would simply not want to communicate with strangers. We definitely need information buffs for solo survivors, like the suggested survivor icons displaying what each survivor is doing. That would be such an awesome feature. A ping system would also be awesome, but kind of doubt the devs would want to go there.

A very small part of me is hoping that they delayed certain things they talked about in their anniversary presentation to work on these type of solo queue buffs instead. Probably being too optimistic though, but who knows. To be fair, BHVR has been doing good work lately.

Just basekit kindred would help a lot and I think that would be pretyy easy to add. Also making ability to mark generators being repaired would be fine. Both these information swf has available. Then some low tier killers could gets buffs and killers could get maybe basekit BBQ and grim embrace.

well the way this guy explained was that I returned to the gen and kicked it again after I was done chasing his teammates. So I aparently am a camper for returning to the gen I was before, or something.

It wasn't about 3 gens, I do this every game pretty much especially with Sadako in early game. I find the first gen they are working on, kick it and hit once the person who was working on it, then I leave him alone and look for the others, slap around as many as I can find then teleport back to teh first gen, and this time I will hook the person if he's still around. It's my main pressure because Sadako is lacking a bit of strength so I have to bluff charge and go for someone else quite a bit.

That seems decent stragedy and it's not gen camping it's just normal gameplay. Im lazybones and just chase survivor I see first and go for down and hook. But if there is multiple survivors nearby then I try injure as many I can and definetely kick the gen they worked on.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If they do something cute or funny I usually do. Even though I enjoy playing killer I’m a bad killer because I genuinely feel bad when I eliminate someone. It’s not uncommon for me to feel bad and let you go.

Yeah that feeling bad is problem for me too. Would think after nearly 4000 kills it would not be issue anymore.

  • That's not gen camping. Only thing which I would consider gen camping is defending 3 gen area right at the start of match and never leave. But it can be good stragedy in some maps like in haddonfield if all 3 gens are in main building but the match will be very long.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3153289#Comment_3153289

The devs can buff solo players if they want. For instance, they can hypothetically say anybody who isn't in a swf has a 10% gen speed bonus (I'm just pulling a number out of the air, I'm not claiming that specific amount is balanced.) Swf members don't get the bonus so it's a direct boost to solo queue players to compensate for not being on comms.

And a bit more indirectly, they can follow through on the information upgrade for the HUD that shows survivors what the other survivors are doing. SWF players might benefit from it a bit but solo players would benefit a lot more since that sort of information is already available to comms players.

So it's definitely possible to make adjustments that benefit solo players much more than swf players. It's just a question of what specific changes along those lines the devs would think work best.

How about duo or trio. Duo 7% buff? And trio 4% buff?

  • I do let usually last one go and sometimes two if cakes. But I think I should stop that and just kill them that's killer objective.

  • @Aurelle said:

    Like I get that I'm broken for the whole match and basically an easy target, but please stop. I just want to get this tome challenge done already ;-;

Exactly the same logic when someone hides in a locker against a tombstone Myers to deny their achievement.

Well my teammates are always bad my mmr has probably went down because of this challenge I have died more than 10 games a row still trying to do it so they don't do anything useful anymore. Im only one doing gens last match did 4. For thank's my teammates show to the killer where I am because I go hiding when last goes down and killer leaves him to bleed out. I will continue dying probably and maybe eventually one friendly killer gives me the hatch I do that all time but killers like that are rare.

Maybe I'm missing something but it looks like you also have waited 30 minutes. And if it's true, you were equally as stubborn as the killer, both as right or as wrong about it.

That killer was more stubborn I was the one giving up she would waited probably hours there and well she didn't even down me when I come to her she continued blocking me few minutes and headnodding. Im surpriced she didn't bleed me out that's what that kind of killers usually do.

You had a perk that increased your repair speed by 75% as the last survivor and didn’t even think to try and use it. You’re not getting any sympathy by calling that killer toxic for countering your Rift challenge and item.

In my opinion it's just ridicious to stand in that same spot waiting 30 mins to just get 4K. I would fix remaining generators but I had tome to complete so I just gave myself to the killer eventually what she wanted. Got headnods and hits on hook ofcourse.

Also, how did you know during the match that the killer had noed? Sounds suspicious.

There is no way you should at this point known that the killer for sure had noed, thus it shouldn't have been that much of a factor in your decision to stand afk in the basement for 30 minutes.

She downed me with noed at the end and definetely killer like her has noed you can feel it.

YOU: Could have went to a generator. He didn't have NOED going and you weren't injured. He would have had to let you do gens, or chase you off them, which lets you dash back to hatch during injury frames.

She had noed and I did 2 gens and well I never seen as entitled killer for 4K so though she would not just stamd there 30 minutes. I could go do gens but just wanted to move on next match and stop wasting my time.

If the developers balanced around mostly soloQ players and 2 mans. They could then look at SWFs and add additional handicaps to help killers who play against them. For example adding time to the generators until SWF escape rates evened out with soloQ. Problem is, we don't know what the developers currently consider as "balanced". Is 2k balanced? Is 3k balanced? We don't really know what kind of numbers they are looking for.

3 man swf still suffers same problems than solo you can usually manage it but everything still debends on the ramdom teammate sometimes they hide or don't do gens or they die in very bad places.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

They just need to leave the patch intact, but buff solo. That is the solution here.

Yeah but I would give survivors their speed boost back after hit as some killer can catch you too quickly like nemesis and nerf overcharge I rather see old pop back so I have reason to buy clown. But solo needs basekit kindred that would solve so many issues but would barely affect swf. Only the ones who don't communicate would get good use from it. Also BBQ with bp bonus should be brought back.
