  • ITS WABBIT SEASON!

... It's not like comms didn't exist when DBD was created. 🙄

Coms still don’t exist in DbD. You mean people were cheating even back when the game was created? Yeah...they also cheated? What’s your point? At least back then they had to jump through more hoops to group up with friends and cheat, now it’s just a normal thing. Game was created with no mics and was meant to play with no mics. Had they wanted verbal communication then it would be a feature in the game and if they would have enforce the gaming environment they sought to create then we would have no SWF, except in custom matches.

Dont get me wrong here, I like playing and chatting with my friends, but I’m cheating when I do so. This isn’t secret knowledge, I can personally become every information perk and counter a dozen killer perks just by using my mouth lol~

  • I always get a match cancelled if it was a SWF team and I correctly guessed it by bringing ebony mori. I wish If you brought Mori but opted not to use then you could keep it. I’m sure people might find that OP, but I would feel a lil better as killer if I had some reassurance for when I’m suddenly against a cheating SWF team (this game wasn’t created with coms in mind). 🤷🏻

  • Why create a killer perk like Insidious if not for this strat? The devs are practically begging some killers to play this way. Anyway, I’ve never put in the time and Bp to be able to recreate this Basement Bubba build but I sure would like to one day.

Go, Go and give Bubba Justice~

  • Punishing doesn’t have an effect. Reward others for not playing so toxic and people will naturally learn and change their game style to maximize their blood points. If you gave a bp bonus for having all four survivors down (slugging) then a strong portion of killers would stop hooking until they achieved that bonus.

You want a small step into the right direction? Give a bp or point bonus for leaving the hooked area and increase the bonus if they never returned to the hooked area until after save. Will every killer stop camping? No. Will killers still debate Internally and decide to return early for hook potential (mid to late game)? Yeah. Still would get a lot to change the killer meta to charge away from hook for that bonus before a possible quick save.

  • it could stay the same but have the extra ability to spawn 1 pallet per game.

How about they can respawn a pallet but it is already down and must stay so for a limited period. Given the killer a chance to notice and dispatch it again before it can be used against him. Even if the survivor fails to wait out the timer and reset the spawned pallet, he still distracted the killer so...now we have a perk with a chance to change the game, but has limitations and counter play and various levels of success so it hardly feels wasted.

    I tried~

  • I don’t get how you can say that Deathslinger is dangerous with his quick scopes but also assume he needs to stare at you for a significant amount of time to hit you. He probably looking away, hears you, turn and quickscope...

Also, pretty obvious you never played as Deathslinger. Try hitting a survivor and then moving forward when you reel, it has the exact effect you want. The counter is (as mentioned) for Deathslinger to move backwards when he reels, restricting the survivors movements because of the increased reeling speed. If he couldn’t restrict the movement of survivors then they could literally grab anything and get a free break. By making Deathslinger pull backwards to restrict movement, you are also restricting his movement and giving an opportunity for another survivor to save you. If the Deathslinger could reel forward and still restrict you, then I promise, the strat wouldn’t be to walk backwards further away from our prey. You have much more strafing power when he gives you free reign on the spear (which is granted to you when he doesn’t pull back).

The real outrage from this rift that Kate is getting a chibi instead of Dwight. Completely unacceptable, tbh.

Dwight chibi would just be a miniature locker...

    is it really worth?

  • My stealth build works for my playstyle but I use...

    • Fixated
    • Sprint Burst
    • Inner Strength
    • Stake Out

My build is the traveling stealth.

When your in the killer terror radius Stake out starts collecting tokens and it’s a pretty strong visual warning that you need to keep guard up.

Your two options are to stealth and collect tokens to use later on healing and gens or use the speed of fixated to quickly and stealthily dip out and go to a new gen.

Fixated is great for moving around objects to stay out of view and leaving undetected. Also, seeing your own scratch marks is great for identifying what the killer sees to track you and manipulating it to help you lose sight and stealth away.

Sprint Burst is great to use when you think you slipped away from killer and want to quickly burst over to a new gen or if your spotted leaving then you can at least start the chase with a small advantage and burst over to a near by loop.

Inner Strength is good to stay healthy which is necessary to keep fixated working.

The lack of Iron Will means this stealth build wasn’t meant for stealth when injured. Stay healthy, stay agile, and stay out of sight. Works for me~

  • I had fun with moon walking Legion. I never went against it, back then I was 100 committed to learning killer. I could put on Bloodhound, smack a few people and just enjoy my little backwards hunting, listening for that sweet sweet sound of mending.

    Get outplayed!

All joking aside, I don’t like Legion, I feel punished when I play him but I feel that’s partially my fault for staying in red ranks and then trying to learn him. Wish killers had a separate rank for each killer. I might be viable as Deathslinger but as Legion you honestly might as well consider me a lost 5th survivor enjoying my sprint burst.

  • I want to burn an offering that turns all Blendettes into Big Fat-ass Janes. Now try your magic tricks you cheating whores!

Sorry, I’m still a lil traumatized by a game I had earlier today...

  • I use to think I understood, now I know nothing...

  • Of course this would be appreciated and approved, just not a priority compared to other things. Maybe one day though~

  • The topic of discussion is DbD in this General Discussions section. The game is not and will probably never be balanced. The game plays very differently at the different skill levels and that means many problems/concerns/confusion can be found I this game. Since were here to talk DbD, then we’re going to point out and discuss this. The real problem is when people want to label this as Whining and Complaining and try to kill the conversation or attack the OP.

You know other sections of the forum exist right?

  • Pretty much a meme at this point. I always bring Mori when I see key, I hope the survivors are all like, ‘Damn it Jimmy! See! He burned a secret, It’s probably Mori and it’s because you have that stupid key!’

  • Yeah, I understood you perfectly, so I can take my 100 yellow add ons that I will never use and create 20 or 10 pink Mori which I will definitely use. You mean you only want bp boosters to have this combine power? Don’t see why it matters. Might as well ask them to have the option to convert add ons and offerings to BP. Still dumb idea IMO.

  • we Don’t need every game with powerful add ons man. Jeez. Why even have something to find and be glad to have in bloodweb, you can just grab anything and create power. I’m not on board.

  • Bait thread is too obvious~

  • Pretty sure a majority of survivors who complain about NOED just think those bones are aesthetic background decor :D

NOED is easily countered. If it makes you feel any better, if this gen slow down buff is even semi-decent then killers will have less need of NOED. I certainly never ran it before the Ruin Nerf, then I ran it for a month while I got use to gens poppies by every second lol.

  • I’ll just say that you may be 100% correct and this may make killers stronger then intended. Much like another change made survivor gen speed incredibly strong. What’s the point of this post? To let us know the Devs might make one side stronger then the other? Yeah, that has been happening for years and every time a new change for balance purposes is introduced we either get a decent change that is acceptable or a god damn table flip that takes months to fix or band aid fix with a new perk.

I get your concerned but all the devs can do is try to fix a problem, give it a small test on PtB, and release it with good intentions. If it makes life hell for survivors, just know that it will be addressed in another update.

God forbid one side have to struggle for a long time because of a dev change that wrecked a certain level of balance cough gen speed cough.

  • It’s too late, I’m already excited. That gen speed change alone and is enough for me to throw a few more bucks at behavior. I especially like that change on hook, when I was a baby survivor I kept forcing myself to stage 2 because I did not understand.

This look like a description from wikipedia of a villain not really frpm DBD

Do...do you not read the title. He’s asking which licensed killers (that maybe less known) would you like in DbD. So I grabbed some Villian info from Wiki (for those who don’t know the series) and then gave my idea and how I like for him to work. What does your reply suppose to prove? :/

  • Surveillance and Ruin are a great combo. If your build is using Surveillance then you might as well use Ruin for your slow down. It turns into a great information tool and slow down. Of the two, I usually pick Ruin but that’s mostly because I dislike feeling distracted by the gens and the pop timer. If I hook and use BBQ to see which gen is being worked on, I’m not moving to that gen with the purpose to pop it, I get distracted by the survivors running off it and give chase. Only to feel I’m wasting a perk slot, or I’ll ignore the survivors and pop gen but now I have no chase and only a general direction to go.

I get why pop is more reliable and popular but I’m still a stickler for Ruin when it comes down to only one of these two perks. It just hurts knowing what it once was compared to what it is now~

copy/pasted that. Downside is I feel he might be too much like Ghostface since they have the same primary weapon. I think his 2 most iconic traits are his traps and his habit of leaving 1 alive. Try creating a killer that might use traps but is mostly a m1 killer like trapper. Then his gimmick is that he can choose to go to any hooked survivor and spend a certain amount of time torturing them. Obviously the hook timer would stop. The torture could either negatively effect the survivor (like broken status) or power up the killer or better yet, unlock more tools. Honestly my ideal version of This Killer would use 5 different traps. 1 base trap and 1 other trap unlocked after each survivor is hooked once and tortured. I know that’s asking for too much :D

I mean, that's very thematic... but that change would be overly punishing vs new survivors and do absolutely nothing vs good survivors. Also much like Mori's, getting head pops actually hurts your BP gains. So I would strongly prefer not getting this change.

I get that would effect lower rank more then higher rank but we were discussing small changes and anything that will effect the good/experienced survivors is obviously a big change. Also, getting less points is a problem with the system and doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of head pops. Why do we need to punish her for prioritizing her killer power. Ought to get double points if you can pop a head, especially since they give so much time and opportunities for survivors to take them off :/

If it wasn’t obvious I try to go for head pops when I play pig~

  • If I suggested a small change. When they mess up a skill check at a box then killer gets notified and they regress a little progress. Why not make mistakes hurt, like in the movies. Make them lose 10 secs on the head trap. Might make some add ons that increase skill checks on the boxes feel more impactful too. Maybe we could see a few more head pops and not be extremely big change(?).

  • Well I dodge keys so I won’t judge you. Still seems weird to me though, I mean, I’ve seen too many first hook suicides to think survivors would really care. It’s obviously more about not letting a killer enjoy an easier then usual game and less about being afraid of Mori, IMO.

  • It’s a game mechanic punishing survivors who were not paying attention or tried an action, that can be disrupted, right in front of the killer. I get that your slightly upset about the realism but, as was suggested, this isn’t a realistic game. Did you want a new animation when the killer drops you? Maybe he stomps really hard on you? It’s just silly lol. Just pretend the killer grabbed you and nearly broke your spine when he squeezed you :P

  • I’m still waiting till they make the “QOL” change to Hag that makes her traps glow. Ya know, because survivors keep tripping those damn things.

  • Er...about that suggestion about Mori on last hook...why do you feel the survivor is down and out? He could still have a DS strike, teammate could be near for flashlight saves or pallet stuns. Not to mention the other survivor perks like For the People that could be used.

Im a killer main but I get why they don’t do this, the survivors should fight till the final second. Hell, they might have wiggle off perks or friends with with sabo. Jesus, let them try.

  • I’m still trying out builds with random amounts of success, but no denying that proxy camping is a strong point of his. I’ve had a lot of success with MYC and proxy camping. Then I just slug 1 or 2 and snowball. I’m not saying it’s my favorite play style but it beats having everyone escape because I can’t simultaneously run perks that slow the game and also help me win chases. So I chose chases and that means PoP PoP POP, goodbye gens.

  • It’s kind of incredible at this point. On the rare occasions I turn on my messages and roll the dice, I almost feel disgusted if someone compliments my killer play. How am I suppose to burn Mori or slug if the survivor community suddenly starts to act like decent human beings. No, please continue to annoy and harass me so that I may relieve myself of the mental burden brought upon the ass kicking I must deliver. The Entity provides 🙏

  • I’ve got all Killer Adepts, except that dang Nurse. I try a few times every blue moon but she’s not for me.

  • Hope it never happens. Especially since a true Goth would probably find peace in the Realm and try to cooperate with the entity. Probably start every trial with a self sacrifice to the Entity.

Just saying, he wants a skin, not a “Goth” character. Choose Jeff. He looks exactly like a Goth wannabe, just like the rest of you lol.

some people like to write their feelings instead of thinking, like you

and I guess you too lol

  • Everything is boring when the survivors are not happy~

  • I liked that they put in the effort, sad how easily butt hurt people are. Let’s just get rid of any special events or blood point bonus, we do not deserve~

  • I’m on mobile, so what does non-mobile get?

Anyway, I’m enjoying cursive, feels like I didn’t waste my middle school knowledge~

    April fools

This community really hates fun *shrugs*

  • It’s that day man, when game developers like to poke and have a little fun at the community. Consider this nothing, fighting game communities will get fake videos and trailers for games or characters they been asking for for years and then realize in horror at the date.

just stop being a negative Nancy for one god damn day lol.

I should also be asleep and was excited to nab a potential perk, still laughed and shrugged it off. It’s 24 hours, Jesus.

  • Just a friendly reminder that your timing also sucks. Whenever more blood points are to be had, suddenly the survivor mains feel like playing killer again but they lack the experience. They complain a lot about the killer tactics looked down on but then use them themselves. Lotta killers right now that can not play by the survivor rule book. People can say what they want but in practice, I experienced killers can not help but try to secure the kill, the best way they can, which happens to be tunneling and face camping.

  • If P3 meant something....I would definitely take it into consideration on if I should target or fear you but, you could literally be running a P3 Meghead with no time played as survivor.

Only P3 Blendette is worth tunneling. I may never see her again and I will party dodge a Group of Bledettes. I don’t care if you judge me, I cannot see her.

  • I like math. Did you math include your play style, the number of SWF groups you are playing, the experience accumulated by each survivor and take into consideration the BP bonus and public lockdown, bringing some people back to this game after a long break and also encouraging others to make stupid mistakes in the hopes of more BP?

Im just jokingly pointing out that getting a 4k isn’t hard or special, especially if your not earning Iridescent emblems and opting to just get a 4k and consider it a win. Hell, the Entity doesn’t even consider that a win half the time :D

  • I’ve no issues. He seems balanced in my experience, when the survivors are predictable and I make decent shots and a smart decision or two, then I capitalize and get 4K. When the survivors are good at predicting, movement and taking advantage of his 110% speed then I get punished and everyone gets away. It’s the same like every killer, he is powerful enough to win but easy enough to be bullied among higher rank. Since were balanced around new players, this works (?).

If I was to change anything about that gen pressure idea about extending his range. Just make it so that he has to stand still for an approx amount of time to have the extended shot. That means he has to A) have line of siight, B) be immobilized for a few seconds C) aim and fire.

Plenty of time to give the survivor ample chance to have kept up with their surroundings and moved away from the gen and Deathslinger. Just punishes Survivors not paying attention and gives another mind gaming tool for Deathslinger to use.

Also if Decisive Strike wasn’t abbreviated to DS, would we be calling him DS instead?

  • Now tell me how you feel about Huntress?

  • I really enjoyed it, but I only played one game as Pred. Tbh, this feels more fun to me to be the ‘survivor’ aka Fire team. The fear is a lil more real since the ‘killer’ has so many abilities and is so much stronger 1v1. I never felt I needed real back up in a shooter. Also, as you mentioned, the variety of objectives. For the 40 buck standard edition and the amount of content I saw, I feel Ill enjoy and get my money’s worth.

    Wish it was out now.

Compared to DbD? I feel the diverse killer cast and variety of killer play styles will trump what the Predator can offer. Killer side I think I’ll continue to enjoy playing DbD but when I want to play Survivor side, hands downs I’ll go with Hunting Grounds.

Don’t get me wrong though, Hunting grounds still has a lot of issues it needs to work out but I’m not a stickler for these types of games. Obviously because Ibplay broken ass DbD still lolz.

  • I guess blood points to Iridescent.

Would you rather (When picking up a survivor) eat a DS or get hit by a flashlight stun?

  • In his scenario they had popped 5 gens and then held him hostage because he didn’t know how to or if he could open door, still 100 toxic. Also, survivor teams with a killer who gave up but can’t DC will still hold killer hostage after popping 4 gens or less, instead of 5. Then killer cannot open door. Killer can only open if the gates are powered or when all 5 gens are popped. This scenario happens on a daily basis because SWF teams are toxic and enjoy being in power and griefing killers~

I don’t really know what this discussion is about. It seems the OP wanted to Argue that survivors can not be Toxic but seems to acknowledge they can be at times which counters his original topic and makes this discussion feel pointless.

Definitely Bikini Spirit; we need more sexy killer outfits.

Would you rather be forced to play every match with only no mither or have any perks but get sandbagged by a toxic nea repeatedly throughout your matches?

No Mither, and learn to git gud. Having a sandbagger just means 100% chance of me having a bad time.

Now for the REAL question: Trapper or Wraith?

Trapper, getting a Trap is very satisfying and I low key wish I had the time to learn him and play better.

Would you rather the Devs introduced a new item for survivors or a new objective to the game?
