  • I’m choosing Jake just because Claudette has already scared and scarred my weak killer main heart. Seriously I can pop a shot in the sky and 3 Blendettes will come running out from underneath my feet, scaring me to high heaven.

  • I was wondering about those bugs cause I’ve been effected but too lazy to figure out what was going on.

I wish this post was yesterday, I’m a P3 lvl 43 Deathslinger and I regret the last prestige. That bloody head doesn’t sit well with me, I’ve been using other heads. Had I seen this post I might have not done it. Now Im in a no BBQ n Chili hell. Oh well, nice post~

  • I asked my question but I’m honestly just here for the back and forth between Coconut and Ley. 😂

  • Everyone jokes about chasing that fat ass Jane...but that David yo.

  • Well, tbh I’ve never used it yet, but what struck me was that repairing a new generator will change the highlighted gen to the new gen, so now you can only use red herring on new gen.

I always felt that was wrong. You should highlight the first gen you touch, after three seconds, and then be free to go and work on another gen. So now when the killer is getting close, you do the locker thing, the killer gets notified and possibly leaves your area.

If you wanted to change the highlighted gen to a new gen, then you pop it or go in a locker and red herring it. Dunno why they have so many restrictions on a simple noise indication.

  • Hmmm? They only need to get her to lvl 40 for all teachable and not actually play her (less they want adept) so....the only people who would play her are those who wanna main her. I’m not a survivor main but I stick with one person when I do and don’t really see the need to change yet.

  • I am literally the strongest killer to date.

  • I don’t mind keys people bring in (see a key and bring a Mori) but it’s a lil heartbreaking when they get a key from chest. You were gifted a free escape no cost penalty :(.

I don’t get free Mori attempts in game rng.

  • I like the grind but wish I had offerings to bump it to BBQ n Chili levels of bp. I’m a lil sick of running it forever.

The playerbase can't support 2 queues.

What's to stop killers from avoid SWFiends queue?

I literally put in my prospective on what ‘I believe’ would happen if we had two ques. Also I don’t know how big the community is but maybe they will make some adjustments if they make DbD2,when new consoles hit, or maybe cross play will be implemented. Neither one of us had exact statistics so I don’t see why your so convinced we can’t handle two ques.

  • Well, as others suggested, they should make a solo que and SWF que and increase bp earned in the SWF que. Most likely killers would Play 1-2 solo games to warm up and then play SWF. An those that play SWF but struggle and feel like it might be a “bad killer” day could go back to Solo.

Doesnt seem difficult and I doubt all killers would shy away from the challenge, they just don’t want to go in try hard every game thinking they might be facing a SWF gen rushing team.

  • I’ve quit playing 3 times without a penalty~

  • Joker as Killer and Batman as survivor. Don’t come @ me about his black costume, he’d be no different then Blendette. Joker could have misleading perks and smack people with his cane~

  • Balanced landing. I have played a lot of games with the ‘Death from Above’ mechanic and I always get super hyped and swing, only to see they are long gone.

(if they nerfed it sometime in the last 4 months then I’m unaware. Just started again with new chap)

  • Well since this is Deathslinger’s chapter, I was assuming hitting with spear counts as disruption? Doesn’t seem impossible if that’s true

  • Sounds more like a New killer Idea. Clown Mechanics with Burning mechanics. :D

I understand why everyone is spelling good, gud. Why in God's have are you people spelling get as git.

I know it's not about the subject of the post but I'm kinda of a spelling nazi

Well I’m from the south so it doesn’t seem too unnatural to me. Also, it’s the topic title, some people are doing it ironically, I’m sure.

  • Far as I’ve heard, he won’t be buffed. That being said, someone did suggest he be able to drag downed survivors which I think is a hilarious idea.

Also low key hope he stays weak so I feel special making him my main. If I said I main Freddy or Spirit then people would just roll their eyes. I don’t want that reaction for Deathslinger.

  • I’m with you bro. I got 1m saved, 60kish in Rituals and another 100kish in the tome. I know I could have done much more I don’t really wanna play anymore until the chap is out.

  • Welp, I get your reasoning and you didn’t do anything wrong and his reaction was stronger then it needed to be, BUUUUT, you did spend the whole game disrespecting him. No fear, clickity clacking to annoy and distract and preventing him from enjoying the add-on he just burned.

Man prolly brought in Mori because you all were obvious SWF team with items (why wouldn’t your low level friends put something on) and you ruined his game.

Again I’m not trying to give you a hard time for your actions but that killer doesn’t know any of that information you gave us.

Had you started a topic about how you chased a Freddy and harassed him all game and ruined his limited offering, you might have been called toxic.

On Hawkins, there's a secret room if the basements by the stairs. If you're playing nurse, go to the glass room basement location and blink in there. There is a dead scientist with a whiteboard with the chemical formula for gold surrounded by empty beer bottles.

Interesting to note is that the golden toolbox on hawkins has not been found yet.

I really like the one where the Legion mural is on Ormond. It's a nice nod to Jeff's first commission (his first logo design was for the Legion).

Oh cool. So we do have stuff. I need to search around more, thanks 4 the info~

  • I did see a video of rendered outfits that I believe were mined out of the code. I have no idea what was going on in the PTB. Thanks for the answers, guess I’ll just find out tomorrow.

    Hope he does.

  • Lol, my ps4 still sounds like a jet engine. I’ve never had that reaction with any other game.

  • I don’t play much DbD any more (right now) but I played a lil bit of Oni for the first time a few days ago. Can survivors pick up blood orbs? I feel like I heard something on a video or something and now I’m second guessing everything I know about blood orbs.

  • Wonder if it was really camping or the killer hooks a survivor and then every survivor and their mom come running over saying “Mine!Mine!Mine!” and the killer no longer has any obligation to leave the hook. Just look for the trade lol.

  • Well, I use to fall in line with the Good Killers don’t need NOED. It’s just a crutch perk and using it just means you already lose. You could say that I feel your sentiment and started running NOED religiously and Survivors really don’t do side objectives so...

this is my small way of fighting back.

  • I’m still not technically playing, I played a lil of each recently to farm bp for new killer but it’s been awhile since I played for real. When I did I was probably 80/20. Killer being my go to. I like the killers and the challenge of being the killer, but I also like the survivor perk build options and team based gameplay when griefing isn’t happening.

I wanna go all in with Deathslinger. He’s the first killer who seems I might resonate with and main for a good while. I don’t even care if he is technically weak (too soon to really tell), I’ll just be like those clown mains and try to be the odd man out who does decently well with a killer not expected to be challenging~

Nothing has been confirmed yet, and there's not really a trend to bloodhunts. Even if you do spot what might be a pattern between them, I wouldn't hold your breath for it. It wouldn't be the first time a pattern has been broken.

Like you broke your damn pattern on my fictional release day. Hope you know I had to enjoy playing Apex with friends and was given more valuable time to farm 1m bp and don tome related challenges this week.

    You make me sick.

  • I don’t really do that, I do weirdly tilt my head with Ghostface when I’m getting a good sneaky stalk off.

  • Smoker was my Jam. F Boomers and Hunters, just gimme that sweet long tongue action <3

  • Oh, a dev literally just answered this in a diff topic but it wasn’t a 50% thing. Hold on.

    * edit: oh I thought you meant the tome. Nvm lol

  • @Peanits said:

First and foremost, no, we don't hate killers.

Second, this was something we were very transparent about back during the first Tome. Originally we had an even distribution of survivor and killer challenges, but this caused a lot more people to play killer than normal. When that happened, killer queue times went way up, making it difficult for people to do their challenges. Now there's slightly more survivor challenges than killer challenges as to not mess with matchmaking too much.

Well nice bit of feedback, appreciate that. I agree that it does kind of suck but since their is a reasonable reason to justify the decision then I won’t chalk this one up to Dev Bias~

  • I don’t like the idea of someone hogging all the totems. Sounds like another way for survivors to troll each other. In coming complaints of someone with small game or detective hunch and sweeping the map and leaving every1 else high n dry.

I have no idea what did the devs do but Nancy's ponytail is SO GOOD. Like when she fixes a gen it smoothly goes from side to side, it's just satisfying to watch.

That sounds nice, I need to look into that. I mean I have her and got her to lvl 10 for adept but I don’t remember that detail.

Oh I like P3 outfits for most killers. Special fondness for Candle-Lit Wraith too but I never use him anymore.

  • I didn’t even realize this. Nice, imma grind just a tiny bit more before Killer release.

  • Of those 3, Clown, but I’d personally like Legion to get a lil love.

  • If I’m honestly not feeling it, like I hit that killer breaking point, I’ll down someone and camp them. I don’t camp hook, too many survivor options to help them. Camping on ground though feels more satisfying to me. Them crawling around pitifully, with the other survivors testing the waters and trying to figure out how to solve this new problem. If they manage to get them back up then I tunnel and repeat till death. No matter what happens after, personal fun/victory after a (most likely) hard bully session from survivors. *Again was his is only after I too mad too play correctly because of BS.

  • I just think it’s funny to imagine a killer having a ‘Git Gud’ montage. Like a Wraith practicing bing bonging with his shadow or Clown slowly realizing he has an impromptu victory dance if he reloads and cancels quickly. Killers were not born toxic, they were created ;)

    *just joking around~

  • I hate survivors that do not dc but stop playing. I made a huge play today picking up a dood and he just stood there...sad

  • Wasn’t Legion a group of people, specifically 4? I always thought the other 2 would pop in eventually. Also wish when he was released that each Legion character was slightly different. Like 1 would let you vault windows faster, one would let you vault pallets faster, one would put you in mending longer, and one could use their power longer, by default.

Legion had a lot of potential, and to be low key 4 new killers in one package, but instead we got 2 and they are identical.

  • Yeah, I usually don’t put any effort into collecting bp for new killer but I’m a bit hyped this time and since we had an extra week. I got 1m bp and 300k ready for the shrine and probably another 500k on Tome. Nothing too special but pretty good for my standards~

i dont think any of these are necessary.

but here are my thoughs on the main ideas nontheless:

    1) the goal here was to give Survivors a benefit from starting the 2 minute End Game Collapse, though revealing remaining chests and dull totems really isnt worth the effort. what would they ever use that knowledge for? get a quick 1k BP or a brown toolbox before leaving? they could go on a search for those things without the timer active anyway, so this would most likely not change anything about the current 99% gate situation.

    2) this one is way too strong. besides the fact that it wouldnt make any sense lore wise or that i dont understand how "injuring the entity" would heal survivors, this is literally just a build in adrenaline for all survivors. this one would have huge impacts on this games balance around the endgame - which is already heavily survivor sided as is - and honestly its really just overkill. and they would still hold the doors at 99% and only start the EGC when the killer is about to build an momentum.

    3) certainly the best of the ideas, yet again this wouldnt really be worth activating a 2 minute death timer and expose them to potential bloodwarden plays. on top of that, we already have perks for exactly this effect, namely Empathy, Bond or Kindred.

in my opinion, the endgame really does not need any buffs for survivors, they already easily dominate during it - unless the killer has NOED - and i personally think that the way to go in order to prevent 99% gates would be to make them similar to totems - you eigther fully open them or you have to restart the whole action.

this would also give Remember Me a nice - and much needed - buff.

at least thats my take on the topic.

I just didn’t think I’d get a pass if I said “if the gate is open then survivors could magically get up.” So I tried to inject a lil lore.

Appreciate the comment and agree with you 100% but as I said, this has absolute nothing to do with the 99% door. I’m basically asking more survivor players if they could come up with an idea, or two, that would personally incentivize you to open the Gate.

This isn’t the ‘######### on my poorly constructed ideas’ topic. I just feel it’s necessary to get the ball rolling or no one will participate. So also make suggestions here~

  • I see your name original poster...

  • Well, not to white knight for the devs or defend a clearly broken game but...implementing any change isn’t something done in a heartbeat or a flick of a switch. Also, they are a business responsible for the livelihood of their employees and while the community would love focus on stability and reworks and balance. That isn’t where the money is. Truly the game needs to hit a major speed bump. If two chapters hit with low purchases and people truly stopped playing the games in droves, only then would they put all hands on deck to regain the game.

Honestly, by then, it would be them choosing to abandon this game and finally release Dbd2. This game is never truly going to get “fixed”. Rainbow Six Siege literally took 6 months of no content to fix their ######### and I’m sure it hurt them financially but the community held on because we loved the game. Not sure if these Devs have that much faith in this community~
