  • I hate MoM. It makes me play dirty because of how cheap it is.

  • Sounds great! I’ll take five.

Until they fix legion the thanatophobia nerf is legit, they should nerf sloppy too

lmao no. Don’t even go there.

  • Thanatophobia, whispers, nurses calling, and sloppy butcher.

@DarkWo1f997 The thing people hate about legion is how repetitive it is when mending, double stun hurt legion grandly, I like legion and all but, I am starting to see why people hate them

I just wish the incentive to play legion without abusing his power was present. I feel like the only legion main that plays fair. But that may change for medal of man users I encounter, because I hate that perk and it’s way too powerful against legion, who already struggles as is. And I think double stun should only apply to targets struck twice in a row in rapid succession.

  • I think it’s fine the way it is. They just need to bring the double stun back.

Squeeze how? I am mildly curious.

Also I am of the same opinion as you.

Heard it from my psychiatrist. Just use your other hand. Apparently that finger is connected to some of the nerves associated with stress since your body can get stressed too and not just your brain. Kinda neat really. It actually works.

  • Game has been out for years and you mean to tell me all this time you still haven’t figured out how to deal with coldwin?

  • I’ve never actually had a problem with decisive.

  • One word. Legion.

  • My mom is pretty rad.

  • You didn’t get the memo? Plague’s infection makes DC’s contagious. You need to learn to read between the lines my guy, right guys? Up top!

It might possibly be because I have really bad issues in real life. It’s been happening with me on all games now that I think about it, thinking about taking a break overall for sometime.

What you need to do is play red dead redemption 2 with cheats and go on an explosive round rampage in Tumbleweed or Blackwater and you’ll blow off a lotta steam.

You need something where you just shoot things and cannot die. Or at least not easily. Believe it or not these things give you confidence, so even if you’re just destroying bots in an offline match in some game, you’ll find yourself playing for a while and it’s because your brain is essentially venting stress the same way machines vent heat.

(The violent ones usually help the most lol)

  • If it’s killer I’ve made a post explaining exactly why 28k points doesn’t give you a pip. If you’re this mad about it, when you read that only one emblem is responsible for 95% of your pip progress, you may have a heart attack.

It definitely needs to be looked at for sure I agree.

  • @BlackendSea said:

Honestly I don’t know how killers feel stress when all they do is camp and tunnel

When Killers camp and tunnel 99.9% of the time it is due to stress and pressure alone. Insecurities and panic make them result to a desperate attempt to take control of the match back.

It’s malicious survivor behavior that makes us so afraid to appear to be doing poorly, ironically, we’re the ones who feel vulnerable during a match the most.

  • TL;DR: I tend to get intimated by gen rushing and my performance is dependent entirely on my morale. I have severe anxiety, and it’s just a sinking feeling of “I’ve gotta do something quick.” But then I get extremely overwhelmed because I’m not sure what strategy to use or what to do and I have to think very fast. Even at the end of a match, a single hook gives me a little confidence, and that snowballs into 4k’s as I gain momentum.

I’m suffering from extreme anxiety, it makes day to day tasks very difficult. I know what you mean, your limbs get lighter, you’re just overwhelmed with negativity and yet you want to turn the match around even when they are knocking gens left and right.

It gets overwhelming very quickly, you may start to shake, you don’t want to be made a clown by the survivors, you want to do genuinely well and not stick out as a bully target.

I have the same fluxuations as you, but they have lessened over time as I’ve gotten more used to the way of things in DBD, but the biggest help, is legion. I can slow down the match can take a moment to breathe and collect myself while I kick gens.

It really helps. It’s the same reason I played pig, every time I popped a trap it gave me peace of mind that it was going to stall them for at least 60 seconds.

However panic started to set in when as my trap supply dwindled, and that’s why I only use them when there is one gen left, and during the escape phase.

While cruel, I would crouch with deerstalker and wait for the altruists to come to help their downed friend I left as bait. I’ve gotten 4ks of this alone, and once my confidence built, my performance peeked to a frightening degree in such a short amount of time.

  • I like what it does, don’t like that it takes a long time to build stacks for, also don’t like that you are discouraged from chasing any target at will when it takes 4 hits to actually begin to feel the momentum of STBFL, there’s no instant reward, you become distracted trying to build stacks instead of PTO.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Yes I would agree to this. Press and hold a button to struggle to avoid accidental suicides. Alternatively, it could be made into an "opt out" option instead of an "opt in" option, where you automatically struggle and have to press and hold a button to make yourself die.

Also us console players need to rally together and get them to change wiggle from a stick thing to a button thing. Unlike buttons, analog sticks can and do get drift and have other issues caused by these sorts of controls. Not to mention, Mario Party 1 pretty much proved why "wiggle the stick" is a bad control option. My palms still have scars. It should be alternating run/crouch buttons or point/come here gesture buttons.

I just move the stick in a circle casually and it fills the wiggle meter quick, I never had a problem with that part. Everyone goes ham on it but it makes no difference to roll the stick clockwise.

Maybe if their matchmaking and ranking system worked together we could have games that queued quickly and have players of the same rank.

Yep and rank 1 matches would take half a day with the new pip system.

  • What if a sick survivor vomits like normal while idle, but now also while working on a gen, blowing the gen and infecting the generator as if plague had infected it? This could work with pallets if they throw up while running by or passing over them too.

  • I personally haven’t tried her yet, saving up shards, gunna be a while. She seems fun but it sounds like she might be in legion territory.

  • In August of 2018 I was watching Left 4 Dead lore videos or something when I came across the Bill trailer for Dead By Daylight. I thought it looked kinda cool and I liked the background track, which was the survivor theme. I ended up listening to a bit more of the soundtrack and started developing a special vibe you get from first impressions for a game just from seeing images of the killers and hearing the killer and survivor themes.

So I checked out some more trailers, stumbled across the SAW trailer, and then watched killer gameplay of pig. It looked like so much fun that I knew then and there I wanted to play pig.

So I started with trapper, 4k’d my first game, didn’t do so well with him after that, switched to hag who had just recently been met buffed at that time, loved it, and when I bought pig, I enjoyed myself so much, that I completely forgot to kick gens and even the RBT’s. I was enjoying using ambush way too much.

So here I am, almost at my one year mark of being here in dead by daylight’s community. Found myself to be a hardcore fan at this point.

  • @ShirtlessDwight said:

Jeez people these days. Complete lack of balls. I wonder how you deal with real life when you report people for such things.

If you played killer, you’d get very depressed and frustrated with all the hate until your brain is conditioned for it. Technically it’s more of ignoring the problem which isn’t good, but unless you’re on Xbox, toxicity is so bad that there’s no avoiding it.

You wouldn’t play a game every day if you knew you would always get trash talked and personally targeted every match, so why should he?

  • maybe Legion should apply other status effects and not deep wounds at all. He could use various herbs or poisons on his blade during the match to change the effect on survivors and force them to adapt.

except it be even more easily to abuse if it goes off TR perks like Tinkerer and plagues terror perk would be way to OP with that kind of rules. the whole problem with legion is deep wounds being attached to Feral frenzy.

What if survivors effected by deep wounds have a 5 second delay before they start leaving scratch marks? Or remove them entirely, instead having a built in bloodhound to track by blood instead of scratch marks, forcing you to face the direction of wherever the survivor is going; and looking straight ahead to watch for movement.

  • @HURRI_KAIN said:

Need "Deep wounds" to not count down while in killer's TR. Then he would not be as easily abused. Proximity chasing to allow DW countdown to tick down is a real abuse of legion.

Then survivors would simply follow the legion until he passes by a landmark that is considered safer to heal in, yet again they could remove the ability to mend while in his TR or even make it take twice as long.

You can can see the difference clear as day when you play against a good sported legion

I was tempted to also say don't with Billy, but Myers should be buffed

come to think of it, why is the most high mobility killer in possession of 115% movement speed and an insanely fast sprint? Shouldn’t he be 110% by BHVR’s recent logic with more recent killers like legion and plague?

  • I really don’t want killers to become easier to play, simply less tedious.

    I agree.

  • That’s interesting. I like the insight about how devour is fine where it is. That example about it being used with things like haunted ground makes sense too, I suppose that decreases the anxiety associated with trying to keep tabs on the hex. Consider my mind changed.

I only prefer how it is now because of the reward it offers.

Anything as powerful as this without a drawback this huge would guaranteed meet a nerf.

But nothing else can grant this kind of power.

I also love that most people don't ever complain about it, because it's a build-up.

I can actually trash a team (well, y'know, sometimes) without receiving salt.

    That's rare.

I don't mind you disliking Hexes, i certainly do too.

But this Perk's just too much fun for me, it's Perk choice #1 in my main build.

    Huh, how's that for a conversation? 😋

exceptional, thank you for your input and your polite response. And no worries, I understand the rarity that is saltless matches. Devour is pretty cool, maybe if hexes are tuned to not stress the killer as much I’ll give it a whirl again.

I simply don't want your idea to be a thing, i prefer how it is now.

and your voice is just as important as mine. Genuinely, thank you for your input. Devour hope is pretty cool, suppose hexes are just not my thing and it would be pretty cool to have something that behaved like tombstone, that you had to sweat for to earn in a match, not really just place 10 hag traps around it lol.

Wait... Is this post for real? Like... A serious post? You actually believe this would be ok?

With the recent survivor changes, of course! The newest killer has already been nerfed to death and so was thanatophoboa so if that’s ok then why is a three strikes Mori a bad idea?

  • @DemonDaddy said:

Since they changed tier 1 I have no use for it as a hex. Would love to have it as a straight progress perk. Noed feels fine as is, its easily counterable and a great punishment for lazy survivors.

I suppose so. Just wish devour hope was different, it’s a weird combo of make your choice and tombstone and it’s just weird.

  • Yes. Leave simple responses and emojis. Thanks for the constructive conversation guys.

I know it's not related, but can anyone tell me the EXACT time it takes to break a Pallet excluding any equipment the Killer has?

The wiki removed that information, or at least i can't find it.

Feels between 1.5 and 1.9 seconds.

This is because of Timmy, here. Timmy doesn’t like to lose, he just wants to press mouse 2 and feel like he’s top of the world. His tinder profile states he’s a decisive strike enthusiast, and his favorite color is flashlight. He also likes pushing a button to stun the killer, and feeling like the he’s on top of the world.

One day, Timmy saw his main was no longer being exclusively pampered to, and he decided to throw a temper tantrum at the Entity about how the game is terrible and too hard now, and how he’s quitting and never ever coming back because survivor is too hard, and surviving shouldn’t be the priority of a survivor.

Eventually, the entity had enough, and just wanted little precious Timmy, to shut up.

Don’t be like Timmy, use your brain to win, not your index finger and your tears.

we can get a flood killer from halo as an Xbox exclusive. An exclusive killer would be better than an exclusive survivor.

    Any advice? New pipping system sucks. I wish we could just go back to the victory cube ;—;

It all comes down to the first nine minutes of the match. Keep as many gens as possible active for the first nine minutes and prioritize them over everything else. The new gatekeeper emblem is what is making ranking so difficult.

Yeah, the conversations start looking the same, it just ends with hostility and you could literally read posts with this gif opened and get immersed in it because the toxicity blends together.

  • The problem isn’t NOED or how it works, it’s how little reward there is for doing anything but escaping, or getting kills. You don’t get any reinforcement or real sense of progress unless you’re getting kills as the killer, or escaping as survivor.

The exception being losing the killer in a chase, or finally getting that evasive looping survivor.

It just doesn’t feel satisfying to do anything else. At all.

Because there’s nothing satisfying about the rest of the game at all, NOED makes it feel like you were robbed of a win that you worked for. It’s understandably frustrating, but the problem lies within the game’s simplistic core.

You can only play Freddy with a pre meditated mindset due to that lengthy transition.
