If you’re being chased by the legion during a frenzy, he hits you, and starts looking for his next victim, you can mend immediately after he turns his attention away from you and completely negate his only somewhat useful power.

This leads Legion players to tunnel aggressively because it’s not worth it to seek new targets.  When the survivor mends successfully immediately after the Legion is looking for another target, some tend to turn around and look for the survivor they just broke away from to finish them off, giving the other two survivors that the killer did not manage to find during frenzy, a lot of time to do gens.

    • Legion needs to be able to see survivors blood bubbles map wide upon frenzy hit
    • while mending, the timer should only slow down by 25% or 50% instead of stopping it entirely.
    • Increase base movement speed to the default killer speed instead of that of a sleepy turtle, this way the power is not needed to navigate the map AT ALL TIMES.
    • IF you aren’t going to change the base movement speed, increase fury’s regeneration rate significantly to compensate for this and make Legion effectively a reliable burst killer.

If none of these changes seem reasonable to you, then:

    • remove his terror radius entirely while not in frenzy.

    • only remove scratch marks of survivors upon being struck during a frenzy

    • allow enduring to reduce the frenzy fatigue state duration.

So then you want a map wide BBQ and Chile aura reading perk upon hitting someone? So this means that stealth plays (Remember, stealth is the holy eucharist of 200IQ on these forums) are able to be countered every time someone is hit.

You also want it so mending continuously decreases? So then if you are hit and left, and you start mending at 15-20 percent, you are still going to go down into the dying state. So it's essentially a killer that is faster than survivors in every way that then has an increased likelihood of just insta-downing you? Yea, no thanks.

This was one of the worst killers they could've released. Either he's not good enough for 4k fantasies or he becomes every sweaty killer-mains wet dream and completely obliterates everyone in the game.

Only thing I could get behind is the increased movement speed to 115.

I'm starting to pick up that this person is a legion triggered survivor main...

I think you’re crazy. I mean, there would have to be a lot of hypocrisy on his part to-

    Oh...

  • Bottom line is, if you have to make stupidly powerful killers to be able to counter survivors, then I think either killers need buffs to put everyone in S tier as nerfs are never fun for anybody. Or survivors need some serious nerfs.

Though I prefer killer buffs because I play survivor as well and if anything I do takes any longer than it already does, survivor will not be fun at all to play. Survivors need to be fast as they are, and killers need to be able to keep up.  The only killer in the game that has an unrelenting presence is Myers. Evil Within III is the scariest part of the game no doubt.
  • Are we still going on about this?
  • That’s like saying every survivor doesn’t need to do gens. :)
  • Alright.. deep breath aaand....

  • Well there’s only one thing to do when it comes to sweaty morons like that.

  • Sometimes, when you run loops for long enough, your pc gets dizzy.
  • It’s whatever man. I will politely say that I think there are far more serious issues that need fixing first.
  • I don’t. It’s terrible game design for a supposedly competitive game.
  • "New" "exploit" "countered to extinction"
So survivors give themselves permanent exposed and now Legion is dead (because M1 on 110 is apparently impossible).
    Lol good bait
Don’t even bother to read the post. Just like hag, you don’t use your ######### eyes.

“Permanent exposed” hey pal, you just blow in from stupid town?

We have that. It's called Dying Light.

Woah, how genius would it be if Killer perks like dying light actually determined the rules of the game mode?

I mean, the whole idea of a VIP is Dying Light. When killer runs that perk you want to keep that dude alive as much as you can.

We don't need more modes. We need the current mode to be more balanced.

Well it was just a thought. I’m in no way interested in other game modes. I’m interested in everything being cohesive.
  • Technically speaking, if you start Mending the moment he goes for someone else, you are still wasting time you could be using to heal or do gens (if it were any other killer for example). I think that's the point of his power, to force survivors to Mend constantly so they have less time to do gens or heal. TrueTalent had a solid build for Legion with Thanatophobia and M&A. He would focus on trying to inflict Deep Wounds on multiple survivors each time he used his power to slow them down, and M&A made his TR really big in Frenzy so that he can see everyone.

His power isn't mean to down you. It's meant to make you waste time, or as a means of keeping pressure on your during a chase.

That said, they do need to make a few tweaks to Deep Wounds/Mend and Legion to make him better. But what the OP describes is exactly what the killer wants you to do... spend time Mending instead of doing other stuff.

That’s the thing fox, and im
glad you pointed this out. Wasting time in a match simply drags it out, it doesn’t help the killer at all, why would I hit someone in frenzy when simply two hitting normally for a down is much more beneficial? I see what they are trying to do here, it shouldn’t gaurantee a down, but they should definitely make it to where it makes them weaker over time. Wearing down survivors would be fun for this killer, and finally add another layer of gameplay to the now slightly tiresome “two hit” chases.

It would be more fun if every time the deep
wounds effect was applied, it was more severed and would bleed quicker. Or at least reduce the bar to a minimum of 50%, with each deep wound hit from a healthy state reducing its max health by 10%. Resulting in needing to have the effect applied five times to really feel the impact. Stops Tunneling. Seems like a
    lot of fun.
  • We have that. It's called Dying Light.

Or just allow his power to have exposed from iron maiden and noed

WOAAAHHH NO NO NO NO too much! Too much! That wouldn’t be fun or fair. His deep wounds pressure is the only thing that I think definitively needs changing ASAP.

I would think that once out of the chase his timer could tick down the further away he is from the victim, so if for instance he loses them. At the start of an internal 5 sec timer he doesn't re-aquire them then the timer ticks down at an ever increasing rate.

So .5 ticks per second then increasing steadily like BT timer to being depleted at 15 seconds and the only cure is Mending. To keep people from just losing him and Mending for 1 second the pause on the timer will have a decay effect that stacks.

The more you pause the mend similar to the old SC at a pallet pause routine the faster the progress you made will decay back to zero. This would put pressure on people to stop and mend completely.

One thing you could also add to it's effect is to make it so you can't repair gens similar to how you can't do so in Madness Tier III.

That’s a really interesting way to counter players that might tunnel regardless, rewarding those that break away from a chase after a successful strike. This is a really good suggestion, bats.
  • Or just allow his power to have exposed from iron maiden and noed

  • I don’t think he should have a reliance on add ons. His ability needs to charge quick, and tracking different targets should be better incentivized by only showing scratch marks of survivors who haven’t yet been hit during your frenzy. Making his playstyle more accessible and more comfortable to play.
  • Lmao killer mains crying because they cant camp with him.

God forbid any of you play the game properly.

  • I think mending needs to slow the bleed timer instead of stop it, I disagree with hitting the same person, they should give better tools to incentivize pursuing multiple targets.

I believe it should be a 60\40 chance of survivability from deep wounds. And I believe the change I described here would really help provide a solid foundation of this killer, and honestly making him a burst killer would be really enjoyable
  • I wonder what the win conditions would be for the survivors though. Maybe if the killer kills the wrong survivor?

@Barron your posts reek of survivor bias, and lack of knowledge of multiple subjects at hand, and you insult the community by calling them, “pseudo-intellectuals”. My posts are varied and fight for both sides. I even criticized how being hooked makes survivors impatient and suicide on hook as well as more hostile to the killer because of how boring a major part of the game is, and how frustrating it is to have to endure it.

I’ve kindly reccomended that the struggle phase needs to be a button hold because it is not enjoyable to mash a button for a chance to stay in the match.

However it looks like you don’t really have the best attitude when it comes to this community. Labeling players with insults and angrily writing off anyone that feels killers are weak, is definitely bias if I’ve ever seen it. Your bias claim is false.

You're such a heavy weight fighting for both sides. lol "I think you shouldn't have to jam a button" lollol As if that truly affects the balance of the game in any meaningful way or shows that you aren't biased. That's just a common sense QOL change.

If it was common sense, why didn’t you make a post about it? Don’t forget what I said about making hooks less boring. That’s pretty important,

I’ve proposed a boil over change that allows survivors to grab onto objects while wiggling to briefly stop the killer and increase their chances of escape, meaning the killer needs to pay attention to their pathing while moving. Something I would like to keep me engaged while playing killer. And something that makes struggling as a survivor, not useless.

No, if you have built in borrowed time for free playing against a killer that actually puts you at a massive advantage, and yet you find my suggestions to be overpowered, then I find it ridiculous that you still fail to see what is actually overpowered here.

I don’t need a 4k fantasy, I need efficiency. I don’t need guaranteed downs, I need my power to continue to apply pressure instead of doing nothing but giving survivors a breather by stopping the timer completely by holding M2. You do realize that incentivizes tunnels right?

Why should holding M2 stop a killer’s power completely dead in the water?

Those blood bubbles are stationary, it’s no BBQ and chili, it’s not even aura reading, it’s not even useful if you aren’t running distressing and perks shouldn’t be what a power relies on to be useful.

Imagine if nurse’s blink fatigue lasted five seconds, and the only way to make it serviceable is to run enduring to reduce the fatigue state duration? That’s BS right? That means there’s a right way to set up nurse, and not what works best for you. That sucks.

Insta-downing? Where the hell is this coming from? You can barely down people with Legion as it is right now!

If you’re in his terror radius while mending, than the timer should not stop, it should simply slow down. That better? You’re not understanding what I’m saying here.

You don't have a "built in borrowed time". I don't even know how that makes sense to you. You are being essentially free hit by the killer since he counters all of the survivors way to survive. You are guaranteed the first hit easily with Legion.

Something could be efficient but it doesn't mean it's fun to play against or "balanced" for the entire community, just not you. I don't think your ideas are concrete or would be fun to play against. It's been discussed rather extensively on here. He is a killer that shouldn't have even been made. It was completely idiotic to make something like this killer. It shows the design team really doesn't know ######### they are doing. Either he is going to be underpowered or completely broken.

I'm not going to debate nurse with you. I think nurse is another killer that shouldn't even be in the game. If you care about "balance", you would not want the nurse even in the game.

We have to know what the rate decrease of the bar is compared to how long the mending action takes to complete. So you could be suggesting that the bar decrease at a rate of 20-30 percent. The mend action could take 15 seconds, but the bar when you stop and mend is already at 30 percent. Does that mean the mend action is completely pointless?

“Nurse is a killer that shouldn’t even be in the game”

aaaand there’s the survivor main bias of someone who is too ignorant to learn how to play against a killer who is the only true chance of beating SWF.

“Legion counters all of the survivor’s ways to survive”

Ignorance is bliss my boy. You’re drowning in it.

“You don’t have built in borrowed time”
ok, so a cripple speed killer that can only actually catch you with his power, which by the way, upon hit, starts a timer that can only diminish outside of chases. THAT’S WHAT BORROWED TIME IS NOW. ITS IDENTICAL TO DEEP WOUNDS AND IT MEANS ITS BUILT IN VERSING A LEGION WHO HAS TO HIT YOU THREE TIMES TO DOWN YOU.

No the mend action is not completely pointless. It means you need to get away from the killer and mend quickly before it is too late. This could create interesting situations where if you know you can’t mend in time, you can use your last few seconds to try and find another survivor before you go down. This would be a fantastic counter to SWF, and once again, would incentivize the legion to seek other targets while survivors actually use their brains to try and survive.

There is no counter to a good nurse. So you are saying "It's OK that a nurse can easily 4k survivors, regardless of their skill. Since she counters all survivors way of surviving". That actually tells me you are the biased individual and you really don't care about the balance. You just care about 4king this SWF boogeyman.

If you don't understand my last statement about the rate of progression of deep wound compared to the speed in which you mend could be a problem, then I don't know what to tell you. It's not that hard to understand. If the rate of progression is increased and happens when you are mending, what happens if you are at 20 percent in the deep wound meter and the rate of progression is faster than you can mend? That would mean that you mending is completely pointless after it drops to a certain percentage and it becomes an insta-down that you can't counter. The mend action would then become effectively pointless after your meter reaches a certain percentage. lol

“There’s no counter to a good nurse”
thats a lie. You are misinformed.

I do understand your comment about mending. I would agree that the stats need to be known, but the bottom line is, you shouldn’t just be free from bleeding out because you’re holding a button. That ruins the ability. You shouldn’t be immune to a killer’s ability when he is too slow to actually compensate for his shortcomings.
  • @Barron your posts reek of survivor bias, and lack of knowledge of multiple subjects at hand, and you insult the community by calling them, “pseudo-intellectuals”. Dont even try to pretend that killer isnt more stressful than survivor. If I was biased, I would want Legion to have no secondary Frenzy hit cooldown, and an ability reset upon hitting the same target.

Survivors got some stupidly overpowered buffs with the new changes and I think you label someone that wants a killer improved as “bias” because you don’t like the idea of actually having to try against a killer.

EDIT: you don’t even acknowledge the new borrowed time problem or the stupid powerful new meta perk deck we just got for survivors. You are blind to balance issues on the survivor’s side and fail to see why these change suggestions are the way they are.

Sounds reasonable and makes sense to me. Survivors needs a reason to heal against him, otherwise they all just stay injured and make him look stupid.

I think making him a burst killer would be really fun and unique, but he feels like a gimmick right now and when the illusion of your power making a difference shatters, he just loses his appeal. He does basically nothing.
  • Yes, “LOL” my post because you love guaranteed wins against killers. You’re lucky I can’t see who you are.

I would love to see your comments and threads and devour your bias with a nesquick straw.
  • Expected something important. Find some tosser trying to flame bait. Don’t waste people’s time. We are on here by choice, after all
  • I think what everyone is trying to say here, is that because camping a survivor makes the experience so annoyingly tedious for them, it’s more of a common courtesy to allow their teammates a window to unhook them. Just as it’s a common courtesy to let a killer you smacked high five everyone at the exit.
  • You said it, if anyone in this game is pissing themselves from anxiety and paranoia it’s the killers.
    @Peasant
  • Just make Matthew Colte play as the legion for 10 games against rank 1’s and he’ll see the problem
  • You said it, if anyone in this game is pissing themselves from anxiety and paranoia it’s the killers.
  • I think we should hold off on breaking the game by adding another game mode for a while. It would require even more balancing for the game mode. It would just be a shitshow.

I see nothing wrong here at all. Nope absolutely nothing because when crouching the grass is in my face so I can’t help you there.

this is really true, I had 2 immersed claudettes in this match, the other issue was that 3 other gens spawned within 30m of these gens...

I’m talking about crouching as pig. You have any idea what a nightmare that is? At least you can see over the grass in third person.
  • Dude you’re playing a f*cking game about murdering people. What, did you expect hugs? The gore in this game is so minor. Nothing but blood splashes that disappear into nothing and a simple blood pool mechanic. No body damage or blood splatters on clothes caused by attacks. This is nothing my dude. And quite frankly I don’t think it’s gory enough with mori’s Like Billy’s.

Play minecraft, don’t ruin violence in M rated games. Detailed violence is important in games like this. Especially shooters in which Red Dead 2 proves my point better than any words ever could.
  • All you Cry about BT... that means all of you are Campers/Tunnelers. Just Stop Camping and tunneling and BT is a wasted Perk Slot for Survivors.

Im Rank 1 Pro Killer and Rank 1 Toxic Survivor... The Killer Perks are good, might use the one with the Gen Aura (Counter against Gen Rush as EVERY of you noob Killers wish for). But the Survivor Perks are Crap. I need my WGLF, Self care, BT (Since 90% of Killers Camp) SB/Plunderer.

“Rank 1 Pro killer and rank 1 toxic survivor” so that’s what nerd cringe looks like in boasting form?

Maybe just wait? You already can prevent the DS by unnerving presence and enduring

    Troll comments aren't needed, thanks.

    Why isn’t this post closed?

    Why should it?

It’s like three months old and people are still arguing lol
  • Honestly the bleed out timer needs to continue to go down while they are mending their wounds. It also needs to go down faster every time they are hit.
  • Some windows are in thin walls. I have tested this myself, and even when the survivor is standing on the other side of these thinner walls, I can hit them through the window if we are both right next to it. Again this only works on windows with thin walls. I have not had any luck anywhere else.
  • If it shows him teleporting to you and then behind the pallet, but what’s really going on is he hit you as you were trying to drop the pallet. He timed his strike correctly, you did not.
  • I see nothing wrong here at all. Nope absolutely nothing because when crouching the grass is in my face so I can’t help you there.
  • Why isn’t this post closed?
  • I think the idea is to
move quickly and keep pinballing around until they are all in bleedout state. Then you go in for the kill.

Did they give the date of December 11th or is that speculation?
If you have been a part of the community for long, you'll know that the developers never give any dates since things can sometimes not go their way resulting in unintended delays.

December 11 is just a speculation from my end, considering the pattern of release for the last two PTBs and DLCs. My guess was right about Chapter X test patch release date.
I’ve been here since August. Still an infant.

    Nope.
Well shiet. I can see how it could be abused but at the same tim it also feels like it takes away from the incentive to multi target. Yet again I think I’m just being greedy for that sweet sweet DPS because thanatophobia for me was already enough incentive to swap targets.
