For me personally
its the maps that make the game boring mostly because it’s pretty much lame how it’s maps I’ve played on before
wish if the devs created new maps without a chapter like I don’t care about new perks or new killers or new survivors I just want more new maps to play on…..

Good point! They could potentially make it not work with Vigil, or keep Vigil active only while not running.
I think rework MFT could probably only work while running but once you stop running it disables cause vigil recovers your exhaustion when you’re not running or better solution I say just don’t make reworked MFT and Vigil stack on eachother
-
Well…I assume everytime something problematic gets nerfed/fixed ….something else will come up to replace it… I’m assuming same thing will happen with MFT after the nerf…something will probably release to replace it

I have a few and for a few reasons, bear with me 😅
- Autohaven: Overall my favorite group of maps because of their design, and when I was starting the game, the one I felt the most at ease with (both Killer and Survivor), and still do. Out of all em though, my heart goes to Gas Heaven.
- Springwood/ Badham Elementary: the easter eggs alone make my inner horror nerd happy.
- Forsaken Boneyard/ Eyrie of Crows: As an artist/someone who loves to learn things... make it cloudy/stormy nighttime, some more easels & art supplies, and some Halloween Decorations.... I feel like its a very accurate visual representation of my mind at any given moment in time 🤣
What are some of the Easter eggs on badham? cause I didn’t know about any

Let's please leave the jokes off of the Bug Reporting forum since we are actively tracking issues here, and it's patch day. Thank you!
Ah Alr
sorry about that!
-
I don’t remember seeing anything in the patch notes about vigil getting a 100% recovery buff
edit: this is a joke comment btw for anyone who didn’t get it

Honestly I would love to see a fully intact Nostromo and not just it's wreckage.
Yeah I think they should probably expand more on the Nostromo realm
I’m already enjoying most the new maps that are being added to the game

- Raccoon City from Resident Evil 2 or 3
- The Cabin/Woods from The Ring
- Lakeside Amusement park from Silent Hill 1 or 3
- Salazar's Castle from the original Resident Evil 4
Ayyy I also forgot about the amusement park from SH1&3 those would have some great potential to be a map in dbd as well!
-
Wouldn’t this also be problematic when synergized with vigil?
-
I think many new players fall for the bait that it “provides self healing for free” and they aren’t aware of its penalties and how it’s slow when it comes to healing….and others who have it are using it for the intentions of trolling their teammates on purpose

Exactly, i think ruin + undying was the healthiest this game has ever been in terms of "Fun gameplay" it required the killer to actively not camp and tunnel in order to get value out of it, and encouraged pressuring multiple survivors.
and soul guard’s second effect….value right there ehehehe

RPD, Haddonfield.
I prefer old maps much more than current ones.
Current maps are mostly bright and don't give me scary vibes.
I don’t think it’s the brightness fault why the game lost some of its horror elements I think it’s the lack of fog or in general the horror element
take Badham for example
it still has some horror vibes in it

You can do it already but without ruin, replace it with any hex perks it works fine depending on the map
I do full hex builds like undying-devour hope-plaything-pentimento it's viable, even better with passive slowdowns on sadako/pinhead, hex blood favor on pig or hex lullaby on doctor/freddy, risky builds ever when it works it's gg
I meant like I personally miss seeing hex perks as survivor….can’t remember the last time I had soul guard proc due to a hex totem….except that one time an artist main had pentimento and noticed my soul guard charm and straight up drops the survivors she was carrying after downing me just to ensure I don’t escape 😭

I like Ormond, just wish it went back to nighttime.
Same here
wish we could have the night time for most of the maps as well….

“Boon: devils trap”
supernatural chapter license concept
-
From saw I want John Kramer as killer
from silent hill
I want Walter Sullivan as killer
Henry and Eileen from SH4 as survivors

Haddonfield.
They did a good job capturing the atmosphere of the original Halloween movie.
Agreed when I first saw the rework I was like
wait isn’t this Judith’s room from the original movie? And after that I just stopped focusing on the gens and started exploring around the map and I personally loved the rework the only thing I miss about the old map was the blueish filter they had in the original haddonfield
-
@rvzrvzrvz said:
Do we really want a ruin-pentimento meta that's the question ? Even at 200% i'm not a fan it's still countered by holding m1 on gen or breaking totem, I can run reliable perks like corrupt-deadlock-pain res
Why not have a ruin pentimento meta? I personally miss seeing hex perks myself
-
I remember seeing a concept for a “supernatural chapter” and one of the teachables for Dean Winchester was something called “boon: devils trap” which hinders the killer it they walk into its range and they break pallets slower
EDIT: but this perk could be a bad idea with the current MFT asthma going around here

For me it's the McMillans. When I think of DBD, these are the maps that I associate with it.
Many other maps they have created look beautiful too but they don't have quite the same feeling to them. I don't know what it is but many of these maps are just too generic for me. Like they could be in any other game.
Agreed I actually love the Macmillan maps as well and I’m somewhat familiar with the older times in dbd before the licenses cause I used to watch a few YouTubers back in 2016 playing dbd and yes I also often think of it as that way sometimes myself whenever I think about dbd these maps usually come to mind as well! The Macmillan maps pretty much scream the words “dead by daylight”

Although I don't enjoy playing on it, Midwich is really well done. I'm not even a Silent Hill fan, I just like all the creepy little details they included. It's obvious that a lot of effort went into crafting it.
But my personal favourite has to be Toba Landing. It's just so incredibly pretty.
(If this comment gets sent twice then sorry cause from my screen it didn’t get sent at the first time) As someone who started playing dbd cause of silent hill I agree! This map was well aesthetically made with all the cool Easter eggs and silent hill references… this is often a map I enjoy playing on due to the cool nods to the silent hill trilogy and the jumpscares

Yes I also love Midwich elementary (as someone who joined this game cause of silent hill) but I often find it miserable to play on with its design but that doesn’t remove how well made the horror aspect of this map is…the clock sound effects, the sirens from silent hill….yeah its still a good map aesthetic wise :D

One word: Licensing.
I wouldn't hold your breath, especially for Quentin, he's literally never had a store cosmetic.
Laurie did get like 2 cosmetics before but until now she didn’t get a Christmas cosmetic and poor Quentin never had a cosmetic since his release
-
Please don’t nerf wesker
he’s fun to play as and against
and he’s easily mindgameable
and wesker mains are literally the most wholesome people in this game and I don’t want them to be rare….. wesker is literally a blessing in this game to go against and he’s literally the reason I had courage to start playing killer and I will defend this killer to the end of eternity!
thank you for reading and have a nice day or night to whoever decided to read my speech on wesker and understand that there’s no point in nerfing him

Not that I'm aware of. Though the more serious your question is or the more it relates to issues in the game the less likely they are to answer it. From what I can tell the question must have some sort of meme quotient to be answerable.
Oh Alr …... Well thanks for letting me know that!
-
I've had similar experience to that as well!
I remember going against this hillbilly player who was absolutely cracked at the game and after the match I told em "gg wp" and they sent me a friend request and awhile later they asked if I had an empty spot for SWFs and I told them yes on our first match they saved me from getting tunneled and we both escaped it was rlly fun

He was never the weakest. He was never even a contender for it.
I haven’t played as him in years but I always thought he was the most powerful killer in the game with the fact he can instadown survivors and if you have the tombstone addons you can instakill survivors … like I get some people’s point when they complain about his stalking power being limited but that doesn’t technically mean he’s the weakest killer
or maybe I should play him again and see for myself cause yet again I haven’t played as him since 2020
-
Hey atleast myers is no longer considered the weakest now
-
Honestly I want Cheryl’s old model back it looked much much better than the one we have currently like yes it’s not as good as the one in silent hill 3 but that doesn’t really mean it was bad or anything
Just saying rlly that’s all

I need to try that! It sounds really fun! I LOVE scaring the Survivors.
Try doing it on the coal tower maps with the xenomorph queen
and also run in circles around the survivors working on gens before they spot you for the jumpscare/startle element hehehee

Yeah, I really miss BBQ. I threw so many games to get 4 stacks :D
That’s exactly what I’m trying to say! I could throw games as killer to get the 100% bloodpoints or I could commit some mindless altruism for my WGLF bloodpoints just to die on first hook but hey atleast I got the most points out of everyone in the match despite being left behind
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
Perhaps an odd title but let me explain. Everyone loses, sure. It shouldn’t be something to be avoided. I lose in a BR game, it’s quick and I move onto the next match. Even as Survivor you can die on the hook to get out quickly unless Meg saves you when it’s clear you want out.
Losing as Killer is a drawn out process. You know it’s over way before the score screen pops up. That said you have to play it out. 9/10 times Survivors are simply incapable of just taking their W, they have to rub salt in the wounds and draw it out. Sometimes their new goal will be to make the Killer DC with an eruption of laughter if successful. You can see this on plenty of steams and youtube vids.
The continued forced implementation of the Survivor Rule Book will likely exasperate this issue. Who wants to play as the Xenomorph and feel bullied by a group of Princess Heart Fengs?
i feel like perk bloodpoint bonuses could make it feel less awful (from my experience atleast) cause back then I might not get a 4k but I was able to max out my BBQ stacks (and have the most bloodpoints from everyone in the match) and despite losing I can use those bloodpoints to upgrade and feel better about myself cause I could improve with better perks/teachables
but that’s from my experience atleast
edit: I meant to say not getting a kill not “not getting a 4k”

I like your idea, but what about this one:
"When standing on a trail, you gain a 10% haste effect, 25% breaking speed increase, undetectable, and the length of your Punishment of the Damned is increased to 10 meters. Your Punishment of the Damned's range is reduced to 4 meters otherwise. Trails now stay for 300 seconds."
I feel like this would change the way he plays by a little bit, which I find enjoyable for iri addons.
This is actually really good and super beneficial in many situations!
-
I don’t think it encourages camping
it’s pretty much SOMEWHAT the equivalent to BBQ and Chili and every other information perk
-you hook a survivor
-open a locker and gain info on a survivor’s location and then proceed to get into chase
-I think it encourages getting into chases more than camping
-
What if we add a penalty to the addon? Like let’s say we decrease the range from 8 meters to 4 meters When you have this addon equipped?
-
Soul guard
mostly because I love it’s icon design with the seal do metatron from silent hill 3
and weirdly enough I sometimes just add this to my builds without any perk synergy which often renders it useless most of the time but it still looks cool
-

Pyramid Head
James Sunderland's Jacket - Ultra Rare
You are no longer slowed when aiming your Punishment of the Damned. (Think of Nemesis' aiming)
The amount of time you can do the Rites of Judgement is decreased by 50%.
Yo that’s a really cool addon concept!
-
Pyramid head
Angela’s knife (ultra rare addon)
Survivors injured by your punishment of the damned are afflicted with the broken status affect for 15 seconds and are hindered for 3 seconds
-
That’s just soloQ rlly…… it’s also been like that for me last time I played….hopefully the games matchmaking system will probably get better somehow
-
I’ll still be using the same build I’ve had since day 1
soul guard, unbreakable , tenacity and flip flop (and yes I’ve always been using this build except that I had prove thyself instead of flip flop before they removed the bloodpoints bonus)

That would be awesome. I loved the Silent Hill menu back when that came out so I'd love to have it back again. Maybe even add an option to pick menu music as well.
Yes that would also be perfect
especially with the unused SH music that was never added into the game
