But you need two perks to make ruin even worth it. Seems like a waste.
It might be for the majority of the folks complaining about the change. I've always been a big fan of surveillance, so this has been a big boon for me.

It's not hard to work through. Killer can only chase one at a time. I usually hide very close to that generator and get straight back on it as soon as the killers back its turned. New ruin does nothing against good survivors who don't run to the opposite side of the map or hide in a locker for too long. New ruin is extremely weak.
Old ruin doesn't do anything to good survivors, new ruin tells me exactly where the survivors are since I was already running surveillance on almost every build. It punishes survivors who go looking for the totem, which old ruin didn't, and now I can tell the moment survivor hops off the gen as I approach, or if they are still on it and I can grab.

Tunneling.
The sooner I can get at least one of you guys out of the game, the sooner that gen speeds drop by 25%. With ruin, I was able to be a little bit more lenient when chasing survivors. In the past, if I had a choice between two survivors I would usually go for the one with zero hooks or who was uninjured. Genrushing was already an issue before this patch, but without ruin, it's just exacerbated it amazingly and forcing me to play dirty or like an ######### if I don't want my games to end in 4 minutes. Best I can probably do is simultaneously tunnel two people, but no guarantees, especially when it comes to toolbox squads or swf.
Tunneling it is.
You not liking the huge buff to ruin? All you have to do now if scare survivors off their gens and you automatically super-kick them. The only downside it has now is the same one it always had, that hex perks mysteriously explode a few seconds into a match.

I've been around these forums and on social media following dbd for a while. Something which I always see is people who play the game wanting improvement, the thing is that any reasonable frustration is always responded with a reason for dbd to not need to implement whatever improvement just yet.
I'm talking about the yes men who refuse to criticize the game because they enjoy dbd, convince themselves that or just blatantly lie thinking it's good for the game.
It's more evident in these forums when somebody makes a thread about finding a certain killer hard to play/win as. There's always people saying "well I don't have this issue, I 4k everytime" so you that person is being a 'yes man' and not acknowledging difficult other players have, it blankets the need for criticism for that topic.
The golden counter argument to the Devs needing to cut down on cosmetics and instead fix their game is as we all know "they're two separate areas within behaviour, you can't just get artists to start coding" I think these people are also people who hear this opinion and assume it's the ultimate reason why the game is wonky and cosmetics are decent so they spout it out whenever it fits.
My gripe with that excuse is that instead of allocating so much resources on the team who do cosmetics, maybe the focus should be aimed towards the team behind actually maintaining the game and fixing any oddity that pops up.
Whenever people say there's nothing that can be done because the two areas are separate, that doesn't solve the issue it just covers it up until the next wave of bugs come.
This isn't a bash at the Devs, it's a critique of those people who think that defending the Devs every single decision is good for the game.
I know the Devs need to fix and relook at a lot of things, they're on it but the people pretending that everything is working as intended are one of the main reasons why the next frustration you face is still in the game.
I enjoy the game. I enjoy it before they make a change, I enjoy it after they make a change. It's a good game. I'm not sure if I am your target demo tho since I don't mind them changing stuff.

According to devs:
- 2K, 2 escapes is a draw game (and what they want)
- 3K and obviously 4K are a win
So, you had a game where you clearly won and you still complain ?
These crying baby killers ... .seriously ... !
Snap I didn't know devs had weighed in on this, do you have a link to the source? I always thought it was about getting more bp than three survivors as killer, or more bp than killer as survivor.

I personally would start by unlocking all the teachable perks, then just dump points into your mains until they have all the perks.

*Play as Killer*
Chooses Bubba:
Perks: NoED, Ruin, Franklins, BBQ
4 Killers Join:
David, Meg, Feng, Claudette
Flashlight, Flashlight, Toolbox, Medkit.
*Match Starts*
Autohaven
David has Object of Obession and is chasing me with a flashlight.
I ignore. Proceed to chase the lonesome Meg. Hit Meg, she drops flashlight. Throws down two pallets, why? Who knows. Down Meg. Hook Meg. David tries to flashlight bait me while running circles around the hook. I crank chainsaw and go for him.
Feng runs by me. I turn, chainsaw Feng and the Meg she unhooked. Proceed to chase David. He baits, I turn back and hooks Feng. I pick up Meg. DS’d me. Cool.
Lose Meg. Go for Claudette. She just finished a gen. I hit Claudette. She runs, pallets, I get flashlighted by David who’s been chasing me the entire match. Lose Claudette.
Claudette rushes out of a locker, I turn, down Claudette. Hook Claudette. Feng dies on hook. Meg comes for the hook rush. Down Meg. Hook Meg. Meg - dead. Feng - dead. Claudette - dead. (Apparently I facecamped because they kept camping by the hooked).
BBQ shows that David is across the map on a generator. I go to David, he tries to loop, pallet stun fails. Gets hit. Runs.
Little did he know, his teammates wasted Pallets. Runs to a dead end. Downed. Dead. I close hatch. Game over.
Post-match Ranks:
Me: Rank 9
David: Rank 2
Meg: Rank 2
Claudette: 5
Feng: 5
Post-match PMs:
“Facecamper and tunneler” “Understandable from a ######### Rank 9” “I’m a Rank 1 killer and don’t need to camp to pip” “Did you have fun” etc.
lmfao ######### is wrong with you guys? You sit behind a tire, wall, etc by the hook and I see you and you expect me to what? Run to a corner and count to 30?
Bubba is built from the ground up to camp, I would change my strat if I was them instead of complaining about camping. Next round they were probably complaining that trapper only won because of his traps or nurse only won because of her teleport.

Why do the devs insist on making the killer experience awful. I am a rank 10 billy main on PS4 and not only are the dedicated servers awful I am also going up against constant red rank swf. I had a person disconnect in the first minute and that was the only kill I got because these people know every loop and bring me to all of the god loops on the map. The matchmaking and map design is abysmal and this needs to be addressed. Its bad enough to go against this with ruin let alone without it. I can no longer have any fun as I am constantly getting this back to back and it is very frustrating because I can't do anything about it. How am I supposed to grow and get better at killer when I am getting people leagues better than me at the game.
The other thing is I am a red rank survivor and what is even more frustrating is that I get potato teammates that go down in 10 seconds but I go up against gods as killer.
Have you tried survivor?

If anything it is a strawman. There is no killer player screaming about not getting 4Ks all the time. When I play Killer I don't need a 4K. I want a competitive, fun game without survivors being toxic/bullying. Spamming vaults, tbagging at the exit gate, "EZ baby killer" in chat. Not high standards really and I highly doubt I am alone.
Do you mean what is with killers obsession about getting 4Ks? There's a lot of it on here. A bunch of people think that is the victory condition for killer.

I go out of my way not to be toxic in this game, theres too much toxicity already....but its mostly from the survivor side. I have only ever seen a couple of toxic killers (may have all been pigs actually, imagine that) but have seen countless toxic survivors. And it sucks when youre messing around with survivors you could have easily killed for the sake of not being a ######### and they taunt you and send hate mail. So with the new ruin change I thought now would be the perfect time to be toxic! And Ghostface is the best t bagger so obviously I had to play him
Then the first game I go into someone asks to me go easy on them and long story short I ended up letting the whole lobby go and we all butt danced together lol
BUT my next two games were extremely toxic, I brought a mori to both but it was because a guy caught my eye, not gonna say why. You could probably figure it out tho lol
So I got his ass easily lacking in a corner, t bagged him for a minute straight, hooked him, t bagged some more gave him a wack on the hook and then downed him again, brought him to the top of the shrine, t bagged a little more in front of his friend, then got out the camera and moried him. Then I went for one last T bag. The party invite followed soon after and as I expected homophobic and racial slurs followed and it was ######### hilarious lol. Although to be fair he said I was lucky he wasn't on his red rank account.
Called it a night after that, got back on tonight and had a challenge for leatherfaces. Then I see someone else that catches my eye and for some reason......the mori came as swiftly as hate mail. For this one I put the little emoji with a turban in my response and that just set him tf off. He told me to go back to my ######### hole country, called all muslims ugly terrorist, talked about how theyre all gonna die and how I actually lost because, and I quote "You are muslim scum im white and Christian so I WIN👌" .....im a black satanic Texan lol. It literally only took an emoji to set him off on this rant 👳 he ended the convo by spamming the name of a certain political figure he admired
So yeah both of those were hilarious and I really enjoyed the dark side, the problem is most survivors aren't toxic and you never know when youre going to get one, its like 1 in 5 chance. No idea how I got two games in a row like that lol
DISCLAIMER
Dont be a #########. Its not cool to bully someone because of their beliefs or opinions unless their outwardly hateful, no matter what they are or how much you disagree. That's a new level of toxicity. Now there are some people where you can just look at their name or pfp and tell theyre a #########, and you know what.....its pretty fun to make them rage. I highly recommend it lol
So... how are the small animals in your neighborhood doing?
This must just be immersive backstory for an upcoming killer.

It seems like the devs want to reduce the disparities between the ranks. Get rid of ruin, so rank 12’s can play with rank 1’s. Rank reset fallbacks only 1 color instead of 2, so it will get easier to rank up constantly. This will reduce edge cases in matchmaking for higher ranks. I get it. And it’s bad, here’s why:
I’m one of the survivor mains that were back to red ranks in the first day (old rank reset). I can’t enjoy this game anymore, though. I’m constantly getting clearly unexperienced killers and no, it’s not fun to loop baby killers at one single Jungle Gym for 5 gens, only because they don’t understand how to loop it correctly. 1 out of 4 matches is a DC. 1 out of 3 matches the killer just gives up mid game. I’m having killers just standing in front of the exit gate, waiting to open it for us to get out. This is true to matches in which I play with high rank friends, but still happens when I’m solo queueing. I want to have fun and entertaining matches and don’t want having to feel sorry for killers after every single match. The ranks are so messed up right now. The gates are wide open to the red ranks, but I can’t see killers enjoying it.
Are you a red rank killer that is forced into the higher ranks because of the new rank reset? Are you enjoying getting destroyed by survivors that have played the game for thousands and thousands of hours more than you? How do you keep up with this? I’m seriously interested in knowing if you guys just aren’t that vocal in expressing your opinion or if you really enjoy those matches.
As a survivor main, my prediction is that the worst is yet to come. The new ruin nerf will destroy every single one of you. Right now, there are a lot of red rank survivors that can’t power gens through ruin. As soon as they don’t have to hit great skillchecks anymore, you all will just get destroyed even harder and I feel sorry for you. Unfortunately there is nothing that I or other survivor mains can do. The game has become very easy for us and I don’t agree with the devs listening to the wrong bunch of players. I kind of get their master plan to eliminate skill and bring casual fun back to DbD, but can you seriously agree with this? I feel like you guys are the only ones that can prevent that bomb from exploding. So please, open up. Speak. If there is anything I can do as a survivor main to support you, I will do it.
ARE YOU HAVING FUN PLAYING KILLER IN THE RED RANKS?
This post is addressed to red rank killers that constantly play against rank 1 survivors. I don’t want to hear about your easy 4K experiences without ruin in the purple ranks.
I'm pretty sure that the survivors'handbook for killers clearly states that the killer should get the door for the survivors.

"very useful in the late game"- It's a Hex totem they don't last more than 30 seconds, what "late game" are you talking about please come back to Earth. Survivors get all the second chance perks in the world but we can't have a perk that let's us find and (quickly) down someone before a gen gets popped by 2 guys who spawned on that gen. I'm not gonna lie there isn't much that would make me leave this game, this is one of the few things that would. Godspeed to any 115% killer without a mobility tool on the many gigantic maps that plague this game. Here's an idea maybe buff the weaker side of the killer roster before nerfing a perk they rely on because they're stuck without a mobility tool to properly gen patrol at the beginning of the game.
This perk is actually worthless and I'll explain why, this perk will no longer stop gens from popping before the killer even has a hope of starting a snowball (especially on the Omega corn maps), this totem won't last longer than a minute meaning there will never be any "very useful in the late game". The only people who say this perk will be useful late game are either lying through their teeth or complete morons, run Huntress lullaby and you tell me how long that lasts before you drop the perk entirely (There's a reason nobody generally runs that perk).
Further proof that if a small group of survivors cries enough about one thing long enough BVHR will listen, but by God us killers (and survivors, I strive to get rank one in both every month at least) want weak killers like Clown, Bubba, and Legion buffed nothing EVER gets done. Patch 2.7.0, you reworked Legion about 8 months ago and you still haven't finished polishing him, half of his addons are completely useless but don't worry guys we're nerfing Ruin.
If Ruin does get changed like that (before the weaker killers are buffed to what they should be) I will be leaving this game and I know others will too. Can't wait for the "wait and see" losers to come around and tell me nerfing the most useful killer perk in the game with an easy counter is good for the health of the game. Yeah wait and watch useful things for killer get completely obliterated meanwhile sound for killers has been a trainwreck for over a month and you still haven't fixed that yet. Basement bug gets fixed in days and people who abused it are banned meanwhile Wake Up wasn't fixed for weeks and nobody who used it was banned even though it was completely obvious they're running it just to abuse it, because otherwise wake up is completely useless. The only time at rank one I've ever seen it ran was when it was bugged but at the same time double mend Legion abusers were banned. Really makes you think where the devs lean.
If it only lasted 30 seconds anyway it sounds like it's functionality won't be changed.

He really doesn't though. It's a game, that I paid for... I'm not just going to turn it off. Instead im going to give constructive criticism but loads of you fanboys kneel for behaviour interactive and act like because it's a game they like there is no problem with it at all. If no one complained about old mettle of man, old vacuum pallets and other features this game would be a complete shitshow. Some people don't understand that criticism is needed in a game. And yeah, if you expect me to be literally god tiered and loop the killer who wasn't absolutely awful or rank 20 making it a challenge for the whole game then yeah it's in my control but a survivor v killer game should be given to whoever does the best/who is the better player. Ofc there will be minor exceptions but there shouldn't be a point where even amazing survivors come up against moderate killers, go down once and die (not saying I'm amazing but I'm saying pretty much everyone else in that situation would've eventually died, even most pros because you can't be expected to NEVER go down in a game, it normally gives you 3 chances for a reason...)
Saying the thing you don't like should be removed is a far cry from constructive. This game is built from the ground up to leave your fate in other people's hands.

Killer too strong make them only be able to see a black screen the entire game and reduce their movement speed by 70%
I was thinking just full body shackles for the killers, and give survivors a new chainsaw item that can one hit killers. Then when killers queue, make them read the unabridged survivors' handbook and agree to the terms before matchmaking starts.

The killers are too fast i think. and the game now is too unbalanced. and a lot of survivors perk need some buff or rework.
I read this and I think you should be a killer main! It sounds like it would sort out your problems. Also, EGC is the best ease of use update to DBD so far. No longer are you ever in a situation where you are stuck in a match. It's unfortunate when two exits spawn right next to each other, but c'est la DBD.

I'm not saying a stupid argument, I'm making a point and he's arguing against any criticism with the game just because it's there so you should deal with it and not strive for change. I'm not interested in some nonsensical argument saying I just need to move on from some random person when I point out a criticism with the game. A Mori ruins the game for everyone except the killer, I don't know a single survivor that likes playing against a Mori and tbh I don't even think most killers enjoy playing them.

Are you stupid? No there shouldn't be a feature in a game that ruins it for almost everyone. I don't get your logic here and you definitely don't understand anything I've said. I'm saying that I don't get much time so id rather all my games are fun rather than getting to play one or two and having one completely ######### that puts me at a bad mood because the game is fundamentally flawed. I don't get mad when I lose a game to my own skill but I do when I lose an unwinnable game. No matter how good a survivor is if the killer has any moderate skill they will eventually down that survivor and then you can't do anything about it. It can't be put down to your skill or anything if they are basically made insanely overpowered and you don't have a chance unless you hide the whole game and get lucky and find the hatch before the killer
You catching a Mori does not ruin the game for every one. Glad you could take out some of your aggression out on a stranger on the Internet. Now you get why Moris exist! It's the in game equivalent of your post.

Thats a really dumb way of looking at things. If the developers have put something in the game that ruins it for all but 1 person then you cant say oh it was just one game. No it happens way to consistently to just move on. I dont have a massive amount of time and i like using my small amounts of time to play dead by daylight every now and then so having a match waste an item and time just to be boring sucks. You play a game to have fun...
Its been an issue for so long and whilst im not a developer yet i dont think it takes a massive amount of time to change some values but instead they proritise useless changes like balanced landing nerfs ruining it and making it the worst exhaustion perk. It was only broken on poorly designed maps with infinites so what do they do? They take the easy approach. Why they havent got on top of keys and moris is beyond me.
So every game needs to be fun for every player, no matter what decisions other players make? Or should there be a separate queue for people who don't have much time to play and are entitled to a better play experience as such? Would it be a vs. bots mode or something? A lot of games have that, it could be fun.

But, as mentioned before, they don’t have to be rewarded. They can simply not be penalized because they did not have the option to optimally play.
Are you familiar with RTS/4x games? A lot of those have a Time-Limit Treaty to prevent advanced players from steamrolling Intermediate or Novice players. Obviously, we don’t need a 5-10minute treaty because that’s enough time to finish the game or at least knock out a few gens.
Let say, a 90-120 second penalty delay BUT BP is still awarded to each because more than likely a chase will ensue.
Now here’s the catch, because this penalty delay or “treaty” can promote survivor or killer DC due to circumstances. This is where the DC penalty comes into play that I’ve heard they’re working on. There is obviously no work around hook suicide because it’s very hard to build an algorithm around intelligently identifying intentional hook suicide. But, this prevents survivor penalty from being tunneled and awards a killer still for hooking a survivor.
any input on that?
If you get tunneled out early you can still make up the BP per hour by queuing for the next match. There's already counterplay for tunnelling, it's just sub optimal in the long term. Not letting tunnelling disrupt your playstyle and just move on to the next match might be the best play.
If i was trying to keep killers from tunnelling, i'd give them fresh blood bonus points for hitting different survivors. If i was trying to keep survivors from getting tunneled, i'll tell them to take spine chill and calm spirit.

No. It is not. It is literally the equivalent of saying "why aren't survivors penalized for doing 2 gens in a short time?". Be less entitled.
Lol I like it. Why do survivors tunnel down the same gens? Hit a skill check and move on to the next one lol. When I play survivor, i almost always camp the first gen i find until it's done.

Eh. Very few actually understand or understood the argument. The argument wasn’t shunning Tunneling in general. It was more of a disagreement that a survivor should be penalized if they’re tunneled early-game, as in, no gens have been completed but a killer chose to tunnel them and them only. Regardless if the team tried to help.
The majority were arguing that tunneling is a viable strategy, that the other survivors can take advantage of an early-game tunnel by completing gens, that if you get tunneled you’re bad, or that you were probably trolling, etc.
My argument wasn’t that tunneling wasn’t necessary as it is in certain cases or as a clap back at someone trolling. I, also, clearly stated several times that I was not talking from a team perspective, as in the team can escape or complete gens during the tunnel. It wasn’t about learning to loop or the fact that you held a killer in a loop for ‘x’ amount of time.
My argument is, that sole survivor that is tunneled, despite possibly looping a killer til end game, will still not be rewarded. They will more than likely be punished with a de-pip, especially if they are killed off early. That gives that survivor no chance to actually be of objective use to his or her team to actually gain a pip or BP. A killer can ruin their own game by doing this if they do not kill the other survivors or draw the game. But, it’s more in the killers favor because they can eliminate a survivor within the first 2-3 minutes, causing that survivor to de-pip and the killer can progress.
End of discussion from my end to you.
If players were rewarded for getting tunneled it would generate perverse incentive to chase the killer down and get killed, maybe even just suicide on the hook.

I am far from using an ad hominem to marginalize anything. Each and every killer that has posted in this discussion has been extremely bias towards tunneling. The discussion wasn’t about tunneling during EGC or if gens are being popped left and right. It’s about a survivor being penalized because he was tunneled from start to death. Even if teammates assisted by attempting to body block, take a hit, etc. the killer still tunnels that one person. It’s not about the other survivors winning or hiding more, it’s about not penalizing a survivor that never had a chance to play properly.
But good one, the only one attempting ad hominem has been the individual personally blaming me when I play survivor for being tunneled.
You said everyone who disagrees was incapable of understanding the argument. That's an attack ad hominem. Saying you are making an attack ad hominem isn't an attack ad hominem, or else you saying that I was the only one doing it would also be one by your own logic.
People here understand the argument, they just disagree with you. That does not make them stupid.

Being a hex totem, NOED is naturally a throw away perk of survivors decide to cleanse totem, and with this gen speed I'm sure they'll have more than enough time to do that AND finish all the gens in 6 minutes. Devour Hope, another Hex, allows you to 1-shot as well and even Mori people, so why is it not considered "overpowered"? Rancor gives you Exposed and Mori as well, even if it's only one survivor. Survivors have Dead Hard, which is an insurance perk, though you'll scarcely hear it be called that. It even gives you invincible frames. Adrenaline to me is overpowered, because it's like two perks in one: It gives you a sprint burst, heals you a full health state even from the dying state and while on hook, and is activated merely by completing the gens. NOED is like the counter-Adrenaline since it gives you speed and Exposed. If you ask me, NOED is simply leveling the playing field.
With those examples in mind, that brings me to my real question: Why do survivors get to use overpowered perks without any flak, but when a killer does the same, it's a crime?
One of the big problems with noed is the occasional inaccessible totem spawns. Usually when that happens it's the only totem left and so people can do nothing but hope they don't get touched by the killer. Even though it doesn't happen every game, there's little in this game that can make you feel as powerless as staring right at the totem unable to reach it.

I'm relentless. for example, I hooked someone right next to a gen which was almost done, so I camped there. someone saved them when i was right there and I got the person again and got the kill.
Now this person is messaging me trying to tell me that I'm a bad player but in my eyes I'm a good killer.
so what am i supposed to do now? let them escape? I'm a little annoyed about this to say the least...
You CAN show mercy. I tend to. It's not a requirement.

I actually did a poll about a month ago in the forums and got about a 50/50 split so I’m glad I always run kindred so I know lol
I came here to finally learn the truth, but it turns out the truth would drive me further into madness lol.

i honestly don’t believe a single one of you arguing in the killers favor can comprehend what I’ve laid out. AThiccOni is the only one with sense.
I made the discussion talking about killers that tunnel from start to finish. I can loop well actually, which ends up in me being tunneled and camped by angry killers. The majority of you on here are pathetic. I enjoy the people calling me a salty killer main when I’ve reiterated that I’m a killer main. Ignorance is bliss.
Instead of choosing to only see it from your perspective, open your eyes. Killers can counter a gen-rush as I’ve said multiple times. You can’t penalize a survivor for doing the objective. There are perks to slow this down or block it for a time limit.
You choose to tunnel because you choose to be a toxic player. The only time tunneling is necessary is when gens have been rushed and you’re trying to save tail.
Also, to whomever said “try tunneling/facecamping and check your stats” I have. It’s very simple to get a 4K tunneling or facecamping. You set the team into panic mode the majority of the time causing them to try and Bodyblock for their tunneled teammate. Thus, few or no gens get repaired.
but all of you, have a great day/night, whatever it may be for you. You’re a very toxic community with a one-dimensional perspective on killers. The excuse that you play both and see no issue in tunneling is ridiculous. No, I wasn’t the worst of the 4 in those games, I was with my group and the killer chose to tunnel me because he was too ignorant to drop a chase after an extended time and finally caught me. 👍🏽
If you don't believe we can comprehend, why waste your breath? I know that you know that we get it and you are just using an attack ad hominem to marginalize your dissenters.

I don't see killers in my dm's harassing but almost every survivor game I'm getting told to kill myself and uninstall win or lose. So because someone spammed you in a video game that directly affects you emotionally.
What you are saying is you condone survivors harassing people but when they get a taste of their own medicine that's where you draw the line pfft, if you don't want to get spammed with a mori learn stealth and/or don't be a toxic survivor.
Gotta get hooked once and downed twice to get mori whereas someone bm can mesmerise all the safe pallets and have a 5 gen chase without ruin.
It's almost exclusively killers who harass me after a game. Usually only times I get messaged by survivors it's a thanks for hatch.

penalizing for gens done during a chase? That’s an ignorant statement. Considering a survivor will always be chased while gens are being repaired. As a killer main, I drop a chase if it lasts too long. If you’re not smart enough as a killer to do that and they knock out gens, that’s your problem. There are also perks to counter gen rushes. Ruin, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention, Thanatophobia, etc. Killers have plenty of counters to survivors and vice versa. The topic is penalizing hook camping and tunneling more. You can’t penalize a survivor for looping when that’s their only survival tool besides hiding.
Tunneling is downright rewarded. I play at least 1 killer match a day and I'd rather go for the injured guy than the healthy one.

I've had several games now where killer was literally hiding all game, going AFK invisible Wraith. They hide near the door and open it as soon as the last gen pops. The only way to find them would be with a flashlight and force visibility I guess? It's impossible to pip that way and while it is a free escape and free points, I wish this wasn't possible. Is there a way to counter this? Like killer not doing actions for a long time gets crows and goes visible or gets kicked from the game or something like that. Also not really sure why people do this.
I do it, but not afk. I stalk survivors for points and then open gate to end game. It's really immersive. I'm not high enough rank killer to cause depip tho I hope.

The fact that you say "backstabed from the front" shows to me that you have 0 clue about how latency works in dark souls 1 and that you don't know how to counter it. Besides the fact that all the stuff you mentioned is absolutly non-relevant.
And no, it doesn't. Dead hard is buggy because of dedicated servers. It's was buggy before aswell but now it's worse.
That doesn't make sense, before the same latency was there for survivors. The only difference is now killers suffer from lag too.

It is quite common to see people here on the forums complaining about how repetitive games are, after all they face pretty much the same perks, whether they play survivor or killer most.
When you take a look at the perks players have available in this game, it is easy to tell why people only run Ruin, Decisive, BBQ, Adrenaline and other meta perks. The gap between these perks and the rest is simply too huge. On one hand you have Hex:Ruin, a perk that offers early gen slowdown, punishes survivors stacking on gens and incentivates players to waste minutes looking for a totem. On the other, you have downright disgraceful perks like Hex:Huntress Lullaby, a perk that shows survivors you have it, requires you to achieve tokens before it has a noticeable impact in a match, can get cleansed before you get it to work, and even at it's maximum potential doesn't offer an advantage like Ruin does in the first place.
Since this is not a sided change, I think we can all agree perks like these can get buffs (on both sides)
Dude doctor plus lullaby is super good

Lol i bet you wished that was the case.
Sometimes survivors mistake you for a killbot, and send wave after wave of themselves to try to rescue each other in front of you.

Fast vault a window? you'll still get hit.
a metre away from the window? if the killer looks at you, you'll still get hit.
Dropped the palette and got the stun? you'll still get hit.
I find it so annoying that the only feasable tools survivors ahve to create distance and play mindgames, more often than not end up getting me killed eventhough im pulling them off correctly. i've noticed it more recently. i always knew in the back of my mind playing survivor that it's killer favoured in terms of what counts as a hit and what doesnt but its really making me mad after 250 hours.
I know i sound like an entitled survivor but the game isnt fun when you vault the window and get skullF*cked by an oni m1 or billy's chainsaw. every game feels like a nurse game.
I cant see myself playing any more survivor without friends untill this gets fixed or something is done about dedicated servers. i'll be playing killer and waiting 30 minutes for a game againt people 6 ranks higher than me.
Aren't you explicitly not pulling them off correctly if you are getting hit? Also it tells you your ping in the lobby so you can tell if you have to give yourself an extra twentieth or tenth or fifth of a second, just like the majority of online games.

I comment about this frequently on threads where the topic is camping, but I wanted to start a thread about this and see if there is something I am missing.
In half or more of the matches I play when the killer gets his first hang (and all subsequent ones) at least 1, if not 2, and sometimes 3 (if I am the first one hung) are going to rush the hook. So many just have to be the hero. It's like it's a race to see who can be the second (or third) to be taken down. This strategy, or should I say lack of strategy, is pretty much a guaranteed loss for the whole team. It hands easy 4k's to killers. I mean if survivors are just going to offer themselves up to the killer as easy sacrifices why shouldn't they take it?
I see posts where killers talk about gen rushing and I keep wondering where the survivors are that actually gen rush. I rarely see survivors that gen rush. If anything the ones I see most often hook rush. For clarification, I am not trying to say gen rush doesn't happen. Just saying I only get on a team that seems to think doing gens is important about one quarter of the time.
I'm trying to understand why so many survivors are intent on playing in a manner that is pretty much a guaranteed loss for the whole team. Is it just for the easy points? Is it that there are lots of survivors that can't comprehend hook rushing is a horrible losing strategy? Or is there some other benefit to hook rushing I just don't know about?
Loss aversion. They know their character would weigh the value of the other character as high or higher than their own, and play accordingly

As in title, this perk should 100% be a perk unlocked from the get go, literally it's only purpose is to help new players, so why is it hidden behind a paywall ? That's just unfair if you ask me. Killer mains got a killer with 2 perks instead of 3 and new killers got a perk that's meant to help them learn, but they first have to pay to get it. And no "it may show up in the shrine" is not a vaild excuse, it'll be a few months before it does, and even then it'll be more expensive. So ... Why isn't it a base perk ? Im genuinely curious to know your thought procces behind this one, devs :O
I agree with the main point you make, but I don't think you should write off it being in the shrine. Also how do you mean expensive when it gets to the shrine? It uses iridescent shards, so it's still free.

Waiting for the claudete to use dead hard. Waiting. You know a way to counterplay dead hard. That one word that's thrown around more than a ball in any sport that let's you use your hands.
And yet that trapper the game beforehand who litteraly was forced to resort to face camping to secure one kill didn't say a word. Not a word, no comapints about us gen rushing, no dcing. No taunting me for screwing up the pallet save which got the Meg killed. Rip Meg.
What's next? It's unfair to use your movement controls as killer?
Dafuq? Do they speak English in What?

Yeah I've seen ones that you have to stand in a particular spot, but never one that can't be accessed. Have an example?
I remember the first one I bumped into was on spirit's map, Nancy and I were both just going nuts trying to get at it

Where are there inaccessible totems though? Don't think I've encountered that in over a year of playing
Not sure why, but they spawn in little nooks and crannies that we can't get to. I ran into a few during the chapter 1 challenges.

What does that even mean? Find them and cleanse them. You can even do it *after* someone is hit with noed and still get everyone and leave *shocked expression*
It means you literally can't get at the totems if they spawn in an inaccessible location. The only play you have if that happens is not to cleanse any and hope your team does the same until it procs, and hope it isn't one of the ones you can't get to.
