I've just been trying to give you advice how you can have a more enjoyable experience as killer.
If you go into games with the mindset that you're the one responsible for your enjoyment, rather then it's because survivor "is easy mode" you'll enjoy playing killer more.
Trust me I know how frustrating killer can be, I play as Leatherface at red ranks. Some games aren't fun and the survivors win, but rather then blaming the game, I just focus on what mistakes I made, what I could have done differently to have a better result. Having this mindset, makes playing killer far more enjoyable.
I'm currently having more fun as killer, then I am as survivor. In the past two seasons I haven't had the same motivation to play survivor.
So if it takes 30 seconds to find someone and then 2 people are on 2 gen and another person is on another gen by the time you have that 1st one one gen is done and the other almost done, then by the time their hooked the next gen is done and the other two are on another gen together and it may take 30 secs to find them that's another gen basically done within the first 2-3 mins most of the gens are done and it's basically easy from there, how can you look back at mistakes made when there's just nothing you can do to slow the gens down especially as a lot of the maps are big and a lot of the killers don't have a good ability to pressure well. It's your opinion and I have mine. Thanks for participating in a normal discussion at least unlike others lol.

Nah its not fun having gens pop so fast there's nothing you can do. With just two people on a gen it takes no time at all, I don't want fast games. I want games with lots of chases, lots of pallet stuns and loops and back and forth and hit and runs but it goes so fast now that there's fewer chases. Even playing survivor hardly anything happens, gens need to be longer to complete, but I play mostly survivor so I'm not happy with quick games in that respect either. I feel like people are just saying that it's not OK to feel this way about the game and that it doesn't exist. Well that's fine you don't have to agree but you shouldn't also try to force your opinion on others either. That's your opinion, and your experiences, my experiences in the game atm have been vastly different to yours, and also not everyone has 8hours a day to sit on their arse and play this game like tru3talent, he's a pro player at this game so this comparison is irrelevant.

Killers is hard to play against good survivors but you see if you play right you can have long games with a lot of bloodpoints and ranking up even with 2 kills and red rank and purple rank is easier to rank.
Sounds boring though.

Maybe you should get the hint from most people saying that u are playing badly.
You only came here to see if someone else agrees with you so you can feel better about you losing all the time ? because I know it is what you are looking for, another average joe looking for emotional approval and ignoring everybody and everything else.
No I came here to talk to people who want a reasonable discussion and to vent. What's wrong with that? Instead people like you get triggered by these post and feel you have to give you pointless git guds etc. If you don't like this kind of discussion go to a different thread simple as that. If you don't like don't read. Seriously what's wrong with you or do you just like looking for people to have a go at? You're another pro player too right? Lmao stop getting so offended by these post and get a life haha wow this game has been made super easy for survivors that's the truth, i play mostly survivor so I know.

I always send "good game well played" after my games, it's like a end of game handshake.
Well they did their objective better then I did mine.
I say this to survivors that it isn't the killers job to provide them with a fun game. Likewise, it's not the survivors job to provide you with a fun game, they're job is to escape. The only person that is responsible if you have a fun game is you?
I even made a post about it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/101754/you-ruined-my-fun#latest
If you go into the game with the mindset that you're the one responsible whether you have a fun game or not, you'll find the game more enjoyable. Rather then blaming the survivors for gen rushing, review your own performance what you could have done differently, to get a better result?
I've played this game for nearly two years, I'm still always looking for a way I could improve as a player.
It's not fun anymore, I only do the challenges for killer now so I will tunnel and camp one or two to complete whichever challenge I'm on and ignore the rest, Ive lost interest in trying to have a good killer game. I'm just gonna farm for the rift from now on. And then just stick to easy survivor mode.

Can you post your profile so we see how much of a new player you are just enable your dbd achievements lol.
There's no need to do that. I play on all consoles I don't really like pc. I'm not new at the game either I've played it a long time. And seriously if your just another "oh you must be bad at the game" or "git gud" then maybe you too should move on to another thread you actually have something interesting to say for.
-
Devour hope should be a hex perk it's way too powerful not to be.
Nor should thrill of the hunt. The nor haunted grounds because it wouldn't work if it wasn't a hex. Third seal maybe could work after hitting a survivor so many times like 4 or something I dunno.

every opinion should be listened actually. I gave credit to devs and did wait till i could play this ruin for some days, althought I already imagined it would be useless.
Now there are proofs that was simply a wrong choice. Surely they did it thinking it was a good choice, everyone can make a mistake. But imo that's what it was ultimately: a mistake.
In most games now the killer has zero presence, a lot of games I don't even see the killer til all the gens are done. Games are more boring now because the killer has so little time to do anything.

Same question could be asked why do killers want a 4k? The survivors are trying to escape, the best way to escape is by playing optimally. Survivors have got a lot more optimal then they have in the past.
When I play survivor if I'm not being chased I'll work on a generator or cleanse a totem if I come across one.
It's the same when I play killer, I'll try and kill all four survivors as quickly as possible. For me I'd much rather sacrifice all four survivors before a single gen is done then ranking up.
I go into the killer games with the mindset that if all the gens are done quickly, then that's my fault for not providing enough map pressure. I find I have a lot more fun as killer with that mindset.
With killer if you find yourself chasing a good survivor or you find yourself chasing a survivor into a god loop, don't be afraid to abandon the chase. Also slugging is an excellent strategy at providing map pressure. If you have a survivor hooked and one slugged, it forces the other survivors to get off the gens to help their team mates.
Yes, I often have games where I barely get any hooks in the game, but those games are rare and I just say "good game, well played" move onto my next game.
How is fast gens well played though?
-
Best way to escape is for the game to be made really easy for survivors. I play survivor 90% of the time and it's ridiculously easy now.

If you read my response correctly I was talking about the threads all together not yours. It's actually hilarious, I was going to write "incoming "Typical survivor main response" and you actually did it, typical. Everything I said was constructive to your issue. You just chose not to listen to the simple solution to your problem in game, and some advise.
Seriously if your sick of these threads stop discussing them.

My advice is actually quite relevant here. The problem is not the game, the problem is that you've become reliant on one perk and haven't learned how to play the game without it. So start experimenting, Try different perks out that you haven't tried before. My current build doesn't even use any slow down perks. And you know what, My rank has improved. I'm killing more people without having to rely on slow down perks.
So instead of wasting your time on the forums, GIT GUD
Lol git gud is such a juvenile response. Seriously mate you don't like these threads so go away and let others discuss. Keep your advice for somewhere your welcome. Bye Mr pro expert dbd killer god seriously lol

Why do survivors want fast games?
-
It stayed up but it was like it was an empty perk. It's does nothing. If survivors are good they won't be off the gen for long so ruin is now officially one of the worst perks in the game. But that's just my OPINION, no need for anyone to get tilted over my opinion. Wait for it, and I save someone time "git gud" I before someone else says it to me lol no fix gen speed or revert ruin back.,
-
Lol people saying git gud when they have nothing of value to say. Seriously if you don't like these kind of posts why get involved with them.
-
I don't care what you are and what you're not. I'm simply venting my frustration that gens get done so fast games are unenjoyable and yes while you may enjoy the game still as it is there are many who are not, so is it not OK to vent? So gen rushing means killer is bad? There's simply not enough time to get any pressure on. Killer used to be fun I used to only play killer, it's unbalanced as hell right now, but survivors are very strong compared to killers. Shouldn't the killer be stronger? Isn't that the point of a horror game to be afraid of the killer and get a bit of a thrill getting chased. It's not anymore playing survivor is a breeze it's way too easy, I still get 4 K's but it's not fun doing it anymore, had some red rank survivors who were fake reds because they lasted 10 seconds per chase in one game. But most games are extremely fast. Why do people want really fast games? And people comment "oh just apply pressure" but you can't apply enough pressure in 2 mins on these big ass maps.
-
@LemeTheMeme said:
Killer isn't weak, you just don't play aggressively enough and/or are bad!
Couldn't have said it better as a survivor main myself lmao what a joke. Killer is weak. Maps are too big, gens are too easily done and fast. Killers are screwed with no ruin. There's no point in playing killer. So I urge any killer to have had enough to stop playing killer and let the game go downhill. I can only hope.
-
@Jukenobi said:
Can we just make one thread for this instead of creating 40 complaining threads an hour?
Feel free not to read it and move on to another thread. That's one option. I out this here to have a discussion with people who want to discuss it so if you have nothing valuable to say then please go somewhere else lol wow seriously if people don't like it there's plenty of other threads. Move on.
-
It wasn't a two minute chase. Also the majority of the community aren't pro players like the streamers who spend the majority of their year playing this game. Why does everyone want extremely fast games? Does the queue times really make it worth it for a 4-5 min game? And with how fast gens go especially with the new false perk ruin doing actually nothing and smart survivors will spread out rather than stick together so thats lots of gens done very quickly. Why do we want quick games?
-
People need to get over tunneling. Especially with how fast games are now. Tunneling is a legit way to play and survivors can counter it by having good teammates and knowing how to make a chase long, getting good at loops and evasion etc. Nothing wrong with tunneling just like there's nothing wrong with gen rushing.
-
This game should be easy for survivors. What's the point of playing if you can't troll the killer all game.
They should make it 15 seconds for four survs on a gen and remove the ability to regress gens too and insta heal when being unhooked.

Deathgarden is an awful game and will be completely dead within 6 months. It's already down to 500 average active users within a month of it's relaunch. That's on top of all the advertising and sponsoring they did. Hopefully they realize it's complete and utter garbage and just let it die.
Advertising? I've never heard of this game lol
-
Haha the docs new music makes me feel like that, he definitely has the worst chase music. One death punch for the doc please 👊 🤣
-
Personally I hate the music. I have it turned off in my settings. Some of the killers chase music is awesome though, love playing against demigorgon and I like the oni's chase music but don't like playing against him lol
-
Personally she's too slow, but blinks aren't fun especially when she stares at the floor intensely after she blinks. Not a fun killer to play as.

Old ruin doesn't do anything to good survivors, new ruin tells me exactly where the survivors are since I was already running surveillance on almost every build. It punishes survivors who go looking for the totem, which old ruin didn't, and now I can tell the moment survivor hops off the gen as I approach, or if they are still on it and I can grab.
But you need two perks to make ruin even worth it. Seems like a waste.

Survivors - give them fun
Killers - give them unfair odds not challenge because challenge implies it's balanced in this game you can be the best killer but lose to potatoes unlike say battlefield 4 if you will.
Add yui's perk breakout and they won't get any hooks lol oh my killer is not gonna be fun anymore. There's literally no reason to play killer now.
-
Lol is that another Nerf? 🤣 F*** the killers right?
-
I feel this way when I play killer. Playing survivor is easy and relaxing.
-
Instead of the hatch opening when there's one survivor left maybe a key could spawn in a random chest in the map and when the survivor finds it the killer and survivor could see each others auras for a few seconds so we can get a good end game chase so the survivor has a chance to escape and the killer has a chance to get the last kill.
-
@Blueberry said:
There is such a double standard in this game.
Both "gen rushing" and "tunneling" are the most effective way to win the game, yet gen rushing is considered fair and the survivors just doing their objective, yet tunneling is considered toxic and for some reason not the killer just doing their objective.
Both lead to not fun experiences for either side.
I agree with your point though OP.
Tunneling is not toxic, only salty survivors think so to find a reason for why they played badly and made poor decisions during a chase. To make themselves feel better.

You not liking the huge buff to ruin? All you have to do now if scare survivors off their gens and you automatically super-kick them. The only downside it has now is the same one it always had, that hex perks mysteriously explode a few seconds into a match.
It's not hard to work through. Killer can only chase one at a time. I usually hide very close to that generator and get straight back on it as soon as the killers back its turned. New ruin does nothing against good survivors who don't run to the opposite side of the map or hide in a locker for too long. New ruin is extremely weak.

NOED is the equivalent of using adrenaline as a survivor and DS. Survivors have way more in their favour than killers do.

T3 is worse than T2 now. I really wish they wouldn't of made snap out of it a free thing. I get why it resets you to T1 but they should of made it harder to get out of if that was the case, doc's add ons don't do anything to t1 so this really makes you want to get them into t2 and stop shocking people, which is silly and backwards imo. You should want everyone on T3 not T2.
Can't make it too hard, survivor mains need matches to be super easy. No point in playing if games are more difficult than easy mode.
-
But it's possible I was connected to my second router which is on an opposite side of my house so the signal is slightly weaker so potentially it was lag, but the rest of the gameplay was normal for a while.
-
This kept happening to me at he library in the new lery's map.
-
Snooze. Isn't everyone bored of this back and forth yet? New ruin sucks but we need to get over it already. They want a 50:50 ratio so just camp and tunnel two people and ignore the other two. The pretend it's a 2 V 1 instead.
-
Same on switch too

I've been playing dbd for around 800hrs and only quite recently have I been experiencing hella noed killers. It punishes decent survivors, while rewarding ass-teir killer play. I play killer/survivor about 50/50, and I can say that from both perspectives it seems very unfair. I just wanna know what everyone else thinks on the topic.
Cleanse the totems, there are only 5 and super easy to find. If a killer has NOED and actually gets to use it, then it's the survivors fault they can actually counter NOED.
-
Games are really quick. Had a lot of killer DC because it's been so fast and they've only tagged one or two survivors if they're lucky.
-
As a survivor main now since killer is boring these days the new ruin is perfect. Gens are easier than ever, killers are constantly getting destroyed. Still why not make it easier bhvr pls it's still to hard to make the killer DC. Next buff gen speed 30 seconds per gen would be perfect.
-
A stealth buff maybe?

@Wingnut221 said:
Just came out of a game where after I got a 2k, one of the survivors said that I had tunneled him at the end and I disagreed with him over this.
This is what had happened (I was playing clown BTW). There was only one gen left and I was in a chase with him. He was injured and I was able to down him. The last gen got popped and he used his adrenaline to get back up. So I kept chasing him until I downed him again (this made sense to me as he was the only one injured and I couldn't see any other survivors around me). I hooked him when shortly after the survivors opened one of the gates. He gets saved but I'm back in time to hit his savior once. They both tried to race over to the gate. I was targeting the savior but the guy who got rescued was behind him so I had to hit him, otherwise they would both escape. I rushed the other survivor out and picked up the downed one again and hooked him. He then messaged me "nice tunnel noob".
Is he just being entitled or should I have let them go "for fairness". I like to think that I play fairly as killer. I would hardly ever tunnel and never camp (unless it's at the end). Can someone let me know?
Tunneling is a fine and OK tactic. What are you supposed to do? Just watch them leave. It's like they expect you to escort them out instead of to a hook. It's especially OK when it's at a vital stage of the game like 2 gens left and half done with all survivors still alive, it makes sense to tunnel.
-
@Kalec84 said:
I dont know if tou notice, but i'll male it simple, devs balance the game around low rank survivors "fun"
If you go with your skill against potatoes, devs will see that as:"this killer is op on low ranks" ragardless of who is using it.
Tldr: if you dont want more nerfs than wjat we are already having, please stop deranking willingfully.
Hope i made myself clear....
No.
-
Let the survivors do it, and stand a little bit away so they can get the unhook and then proceed to tunnel the unhooked survivor and stick them back on the hook. It's their teammates fault for farming them in the first place. I never understand why players try to unhook as soon as possible when the killer is still there.
-
Yeah I guess you're right, it's def getting worse though. Playing survivor has never been easier. It used to feel a little scary being chased by the killers but now it's just not. I feel like they trying to encourage us to play other games tbh. Thanks for the response though :)
