Had you read the video you would see that she DOES in fact sparkle. It's just that the only time you can safely check for it is at a dropped pallet.

So your buff makes the perk worse.
No it doesn't? You can't hear ANYTHING. No TR, no footsteps, no chase music, no NOTHING. You're effectively facing Scratched Mirror Myers but they have a power
-
Make the requirements less strict and it sounds pretty neat
-
Almost all of these would murder their respective killers
-
@Saitamfed said:
But you're forgetting that Lullaby can be used with any killer. How do you expect to make it work with any killer except Huntress, since humming is a characteristic of her.
@DetailedDetriment said:
This change would make the perk useless on other killers unless they happen to hum as well.
It's incredible that you can simultaneously read my post and not comprehend any of it. True to it's name, the perk causes the Huntress' lullaby to play for all survivors, REGARDLESS OF KILLER. They song gets louder with each stack, drowning out game sounds until it caps out and mutes the game entirely other than the song
-
Since BHVR loves to make watered down perks as addons, make it function like Stake Out and give the old 2% Great Bonus
-
It's objectively the weakest hex perk by a massive margin. Against sentient survivors it has literally 0 effect

The thing is every Myers is going to go on the hunt even if infectious doesn't proc because they want to make the most of their tier 3. If you're decent you can get at least two downs and it's unlikely there won't be anyone in range of either if they're spread out slightly. Also, you usually make sure there's a couple people around if you're going into tier 3. It's meh if you're using it to just down one guy.
If you are the second person for Myers to chase with T3 after Infectious fails to proc, you probably suck at the game. Let's be generous and assume that the Michael had 99% T3 and popped it while he was on the first survivor's ass. Assuming you werent caught by Infectious, you have a 32m head start, MINIMUM. Chances are you are a decent distance away already since you not only heard the T3 queue but saw the survivor get downed, so you are already either moving away or stealthing. It will take the myers 15 seconds MINIMUM to even enter a chase with you, at which point you just loop him and drop pallets slightly early.

Depends on the killer. It’s usually just a bit of a time waster, but there are killers that can profit waaaay too much. I’ve played so many Myers games where I didn’t even defend gens and should have lost 100% but got a 4k solely because of tier 3 + infectious fright. Oni is like that too. There are killers where you could just play the game fishing for an insane snowball and end it in no time.
There's an incredibly easy counter to both of them: SPREAD OUT. Infectious has a max range, and you should be spread out on gens anyways if you want to properly rush gens

#########, sorry man. I even told them that Demogorgon's counter is moving 1 foot to the side, and I MAIN him, I'm such an idiot!
-
Bloodlust is stupidly weak lol. If the killer reaches Bloodlust 3, a generator has already popped assuming you have competent teammates. Bloodlust also completely resets if the killer breaks a pallet, so just drop the pallet on them.
-
Here's the counterplay for all the killers, coming from a killer main:
- Trapper: Watch your feet, stay out of tall grass when not in a chase
- Billy: Look behind you, avoid taking paths that force you into a straight line
- Wraith: Use your eyes instead of your ears, or run Spine Chill
- Nurse: Break LOS, run in a straight line when she isnt charging a blink(she's slower than you at base)
- Myers: Break LOS as much as possible, delay him tiering up for as long as you can. Myers captilalizes on bad teams much more than most killers, so keep that in mind. Don't rely on the post-hit speed boost as he might have T3 at 99%
- Huntress: Break LOS, be careful about dropping pallets/vaulting when she has hatchets
- Hag: Watch your feet, crouch over traps to avoid triggering them, a flashlight will reveal/destroy them
- Doctor: Lockers are your friends, stay out of his terror radius or get in a locker if 60 seconds have passed since his last shock blast. Drop the pallet/vault a bit earlier to counter the shock
- Clown: Drop the pallet early if he gasses you, theres plenty to go around thanks to his nonexistant map pressure
- Freddy: Stay awake as much as possible, either by skill checks(risky) or going to a clock(safer, plus gives a 30 second grace period). Drop dream pallets/break dream snares as you travel to weaken his control, drop the pallet early if he drops snares mid-chase
- Legion: Spilt up, his power is much weaker if he cant hit all of you. Don't forget to mend
- Bubba: Use windows as much as possible, as he can't break them. If somebody gets hooked in the basement, they are to be considered lost and you should rush the gens.
- Pig: Use your eyes or run spine chill to detect her in crouch, watch out for her roar. The trap is entirely harmless until a gen pops, so theres plenty of time to get it off. It also pauses the timer in a chase or on the ground
- Plague: Depends on your looping abilty. If you are good at running an M1 killer around, dont bother cleansing, UNLESS the other survivors cleanse. Keep in mind that if all the pools get corrupted, they all get cleaned and the plague gets nothing
- Ghostface: Again, use your eyes. Don't rely on the TR or Red Stain, and don't bother with Revealing him. Just run as fast and far as possible, he has no mobility.
- Demogorgon: Literally use your ears, every single one of his actions have a global audio queue. Remember to look behind you to see if his face is opening to juke a shred. NEVER vault a window if the Demo's face is open, you WILL get hit if they are good. Rememeber that while you are in contact with an open portal, you will not hear the Demogorgon's Terror Radius.
- Oni: Heal as soon as possible, preferably somewhere far away from objectives so the Oni won't have easy access to the resulting blood orbs. NEVER do a gen while injured, you will make the Oni's job FAR easier
- Deathslinger: Use your eyes instead of your ears, his TR is microscopic, especially since any good Slinger will have Monitor. Avoid going in a straight line, look behind you, and drop the pallet early
- Pyramid Head: Mixture of Hag and Demo. His trails are harmless if you crouch over them, and his M2 is easily dodged if you look behind you. Avoid dropping pallets or vaulting windows if his sword is in the ground. Also keep in mind that Torment has no effect on normal gameplay. The only downsides are leaving a short-lived trail whenever you move, and being able to be caged/morid on death hook. Most PHs will not cage unless its late game due to removing the possiblity of saving the third hook, along with not being able to see cages.
-
Open the gate and stand in a corner, sometimes they'll get cocky and stop watching the timer

I enjoy using it. It makes Myers feel threatening because you don't know if he has it or not. He could kill you at any moment. Okay the killer spotted me so I'm going use the sprint burst from this hit to get to that pallet and run this....oh. I'm dead. Okay next game.
If you're relying on the on-hit SB vs Myers, you're already doing something wrong
-
If you're relying on the hit SB against Myers you're already doing something wrong

I think its on you mate. You are still in the ranks where you cant lose a pip, so you cant have had much playtime with killer (or you haven't played in a while). Either case, its very normal for you to face people much better than you since you aren't a very experienced either. I would recommend playing a high tier killer to carry you while learning and then going back to Clown. Cheers.
He's rank 18, theres literally no better time to learn a new killer. The issue is that theres red rank survivors in every game no matter what rank the killer is
-
Meh, Gravity Falls doesn't really have any baddies that could fit as Killers. Stanford could make a good survivor, but I'm honestly tired of characters that fight demons and gods for a living get cucked by the entity "because lore"
-
The only issue I have is DS users jumping in a locker or getting on a gen. There should NEVER be a situation in which the survivor is 100% safe

For some reason it sent my comment without and words so I’m gonna actually respond now. They spawn at the opposite end of the map, you can go to that end. You get a noise notification whenever people get taken out of the cage if you can’t find the cages then they guess that is your problem.
You DO know how much space there is on "the other end", right? If PH goes through the time an effort to bother doing that, the gens will fly thanks to him having zero mobility. Plus the survivor presumably got downed around the gens that are being worked on, so they get sent to the part of the map where there's no objectives to defend, leaving the other survivors to work on gens with no interruptions.

So, if Survivor left the cage next to the pyramid head and Killer, knowing that there is no borrowed time and DS, as well as exhaustion didn't reset, down this survivor, means that this survivor is bad in the game? lul?
- The cage spawns on the other end of the map from PH
- PH CANNOT see the cages as of the most recent patch
If you still can't reliably stealth away, no amount of nerfs and buffs will save you.
-
If you're STILL getting downed by PH after getting out of cages, you REALLY need to get better at the game, or better yet just stop running into the trails

Sorry? I want her to be fun to play? Is that what you want to hear? She is literally so boring and braindead to play right now. Hell, maybe she should have 115% if her hearing is no longer directional. But her basekit inputs during phase are DIRECTIONAL hearing and scratch marks. Survivors get audio cues, but nothing directional. I don't care if she can hear survivors, but she should not be able to track them down instantly with two dimensional audio if survivors get zero to one dimensions.
Run Spine Chill or Iron Will, or walk instead of run. Being injured is always a bad idea, Spirit is there to emphasize that point.
-
Give me a break, her only basekit inputs are noise and scratch marks. Her UR addon removes one of those, leaving her with just sound
-
Why lol, nobody ever heals at high ranks anyways so her power is largely moot. Seems odd that survivors would complain about a killer that basically does the same thing they were gonna do to begin with

This Perk is basically doing a sixth Gen. And one reason why Ruin got reworked was because it provided Slowdown without any effort.
And this Perk is Slowdown without any effort. Even more than Ruin.
And the toolboxes are the equivalent of not doing the fifth gen, again with no effort. What's your point?

Do you really need an explanation why 16 seconds extra per Gen without any effort is a "No"?
How about an explanation as to why shaving 17 seconds off of each gen for zero effort is OK then? Because thats how much Commodius boxes can do even after the nerf, and that works for FOUR gens if all survivors bring them, not even counting charge addons. Engineer boxes are even worse, with 18 seconds shaved off, again ignoring addons

idk at least Pig can get kills off of her power sometimes. PH just feels like an m1 killer that can drag trails places. Do they do much? No. If they slowed survivors they might be useful but right now it's virtually just for the fantasy of using PH. No real benefit gained until Final Judgement.
Pyramid Head has a major advantage in the fact that he:
A: Has an unlimited power rather than being limited to 5 uses per game
B: Can ignore the majority of loops if you use him right, ESPECIALLY with Im All Ears.
C: Can deny every single survivor second chance/save in the game if he gets a survivor tormented

While BBQ is not really a problem, it allows Killers to play scummy and still get more BP-Gain than most Survivors.
Something I read on the Forum a lot is that BBQ should gives an incentive to go for other Survivors. Which might be true, but as long as the Killer can get their Stack right at the end or by simply one-hooking everyone, this does not work entirely.
Like, I once had a Wraith, he used the Silent Bell, purple All Seeing and an Ebony. He got 19k BPs, while he spent 20k. He did get 4 Hooks, lost 5 Gens and morid two people off their first Hook. He lost BPs, did not pip (not sure if he even got a Blackpip), but with BBQ, this would be a profit of 18k BPs. For playing that scummy.
Again, I dont see BBQ as a problem and it is great to farm BPs (what I usually do as Killer, if the Queue Times would be better), but it allows Killers to play scummy and still gives them a huge Bonus.
It's not scummy to use a loadout you don't like. You still managed to finish all the gens.

Strongest killer with least amount of skill required. Just slap on instasaw and NOED and enjoy the ez 4k
Then remove the instasaw, that's all that needs to happen. And NOED isn't a Billy issue, its used by all killers(and is countered by stopping the genrush for like 2 minutes to pop the totems)
-
@Almo said:
It was not nerfed due to overuse. Overuse was a clue that we should investigate. Upon investigation, we found several issues with it. These were explained in the design notes posted about it.
Yes, we saw you response yesterday. You noticed it was "overused" then gutted it because new survivors can't hit skillchecks, which is the POINT OF THE PERK

@MadLordJack said:
Honestly, gen control builds. Pop, Trail, Surveillance is what I'm currently running on PH, and I like it. It does suck (and is a bit stupid) that you give away your position to every survivor when you activate Trail, but using it aggressively can be super effective. Run into a couple of people, kick the gen while they scatter, and take advantage of the moderate confusion to get some hits in. Make sure to keep an eye on the generator as well, you wouldn't believe the number of times that I've had it light up while I'm still in stealth.
Actually Surveillance blocks the aura for some odd reason. It might be a bug, but considering BHVR hasn't bothered to patch it after two updates, it might be intended

HAAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAA. Oh wait, you were serious?
What's wrong with that plan? Everybody's been asking for a solo queue buff, this is the perfect way. Just let players see how many totems are left, just like generators.
-
All BHVR needs to do is implement a totem counter SOMEHOW. I don't care if it's basekit, tied to Small Game, whatever. JUST LET SURVIVORS SEE REMAINING TOTEMS. That's literally all that's needed to make NOED a fair perk.
-
The punishment is getting genrushed into oblivion. The instant you realize the killer is camping, slam the gens. If you're getting camped, learn to loop better so the killer has to work for his camp, with a bit of skill/luck a gen or two will pop before you go down and you'll probably even get off the hook in endgame
-

good point about bloodlust, yet good players know how to loop in such a way, that they can get rid of the killer's bloodlust, and the cycle goes on and on...
at least with the stamina mechanic, you would have to walk or crouch for ~6 seconds and that means escaping the chase with the killer or otherwise, you're not going your speed back.
Honestly, the survivors that do that are on the same level as the people who abused infinites, they're exploiting flaws in the game. Personally I would love to see a meta where survivors loop to ESCAPE rather than to STALL
-
@gunslingers_potatoe said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1429525#Comment_1429525
Yeah, I think if this were to be added as a mechanic in dbd, the only one who would really suffer would be the really strong loopers. I still feel that this feature could kill the game tho. The amount of people who will leave the game would be gigantic, because no one really likes restrictions. Now with the Billy nerf people are very loud, but imagine how much of a hell would be if they actually implemented this. 87.5% is almost like running in the Clown's gas which is kinda slow.
Keep in mind that this only happens after 40 seconds. By that point, the killer is about to hit BL 3 in the current game state, which means that you're probably about to get caught anyways. As an added bonus, Bloodlust would likely be removed, so you don't have to worry about it until YOU slow down.
-
It seems like a pretty balanced feature, cut the "buffer" down to half a second and it would be pretty good
