It's not total trash? It has a different use. Use it on plague, oni, spirit, blight, nurse, even billy. See how useless it is
It only shows auras on down, and the survivors are notified you have it by the gen exploding and making them scream. You're stuck with the choice of either hooking the survivor (thus wasting the perk, considering there are FAR better options for regression now) or leave the slug and risk having wasted your effort in that chase

Ah yes, the famous 7 month long "knee jerk" reactions. They overbuffed a perk that already synergized too well with other kicking gens. They reverted their mistake. Simple as that. Btw people were pointing out it would become a huge problem already back then when the perk overhaul was presented, it's not something new.
"Reverting the buff" would be reducing the Incapacitated effect back down to 16 seconds, what BHVR did was drop a hydrogen bomb on it.
-
Knight is already the weakest Killer in the game besides MAYBE Trapper, he definitely does not need nerfs
-
Simple solution: change the Incapacitation requirement slightly.
When a Survivor enters the Dying State, all affected generators play an audio cue (probably a hissing fuse or the like) for 3/2/1 seconds. If a Survivor is working on the generator when the cue ends, they scream and become Incapacitated. Regardless, the generator explodes for 10% progress like normal.
-
Undetectable grants immunity to the proximity part of Spine Chill, it only activates with unbroken LOS in that case

If you keep killing survivors, your mmr is going to go up. Remove the cap? You will be facing them again in a week.
This may be true, but I won't encounter them for a SIGNIFICANTLY longer amount of time, at which point I'll have actually had the practice necessary to counter them rather than being chucked into a match with people that have 5x my playtime because they're whining about having to wait to get into a match

Those "multi-thousand hour survivor teams" are spending a lot of time and money in the game. No way they won't cater to them. If you fell that you are going against those squad maybe adjust your build and playstyle. That can help you winning more games.
My brother in Christ, I play Dredge. No amount of tuning is going to keep me from getting ######### on by death squads, and I refuse to play Nurse and Blyat.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/363217/why-do-you-hate-bhvr
Why? Because they have a potentially fun game on their hands here and they take every single bad decision you could possibly make. Take for example the new HUD. If anything, the HUD should've been removed, not expanded. They shouldn't allow for SWFs but no, let the survivors get on comms with eachother and cheat by telling eachother information they in no way should be privy to. Always siding with survivors no matter how wrong they are, point in case Eruption. Going to get nerfed solely because survivors are whining. There is nothing about it that is actually too strong about it.
Serious issues like the repair speed are not being addressed because 3 gens being repaired within 2 minutes: nope, that works as intended. Nerfed Dead Hard? Haha, no they just changed the way it functions and remains a completely free health state every 40 seconds that causes the killer to stand still and lose Bloodlust. What? Solo queue not as good as cheating by using voicecomms? Let's give everyone cheats!! Yay, what a great decision...
Even with the for fun stuff BHVR sucks. New skins on the killer side are an extreme rarity and most of the skins that come with the characters are just lazily recolored trash based on uninspired outfits.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MHJT6RMY83NK/image.png
Look at this garbage. The same uninspired, tired outfit 8 times (there's one more if I scroll down). Now I have every killer but I dont play every single one of them. The killers that I like are not viable at the MMR that I have reached because there is simply no perks on the killer side that help in any meaningful way. Eruption is getting nerfed asap and I am sure Call of Brine will follow shortly. The rest of the perks have no influence on the game in any meaningful way. But BHVR just keeps nerfing away for absolutely no reason at all. Apparently Nurse and Blight are viable at the highest MMR's so I will be switch to them but surely BHVR will fix that shortly. It is just the type of thing those talentless hacks would do... Killers get absolutely no love from BHVR. Can't blame me for going "Like-wise".
I hope that answers your question.
laughs in Dredge
Even the recolors of the base skin give proper texture changes to not be super bland
-
Do whatever you please, if you plan on killing them I would suggest keeping a chase with them as long as you can to ensure they get practice on looping and such
-
This, I can't even count the number of times I've screwed up reading the ring of hooks only to accidentally sac a survivor when I was planning on letting them go for the event points
-
I would hate DH a lot less if like half the community didn't have auto-DH scripts. (And before you claim I'm just bad, the game literally plays the "dying state" hit sound, which means that it has to be LITERALLY frame perfect, which I strongly doubt even the best survivors can manage 100% of the time)

If they do the following, it will level the playing field to be more even.
- Basekit Kindred
- basekit windows of opportunity
- basekit alert
- basekit soulguard
- basekit Unbreakable ( after changing unbreakable to multiple, maybe unlimited uses, maybe after a safe unhook, have it reset )
- Change Eruption to 3% gen reduction and not interrupt survivors.
- Change jolt to every 2 minutes and reduce gen reduction to 3%
- Reduce trappers number of traps to 6
- 2 minute timer on Scourge hooks, once someone is unhooked from one, all 4, including basement start a 2 minute timer.
- Remove undying from the game
- If there are => 2 survivors increase EGC to 10 minutes and reset all pallets and chests.
- Remove killers power and reduce movement speed to 80% within 32 meters of a hooked survivor.
- Dead mans reduced to 10 seconds and works once per gen like Storm
- DH can be used until the survivor has healed Deep Wound. If killer continues to go after deep wound survivor DH is able to be used until Deep wound is mended.
- Basekit DH
- Basekit off the record
- reduce huntress hatchets to 2
- reduce tricksters knives to 22
- remove Michael Myers lunge
- rework the clowns bottles to a safer squeeze bottle. Sell cosmetic that allows the clown to squeeze a hand bulb to squirt water out of flower on outfit. Make the clown be more in line with a real clown.
- increase exit area another 10 meters and install a celebratory area for survivors only the killer cannot access but is teleported to a looking window just outside when all survivors have safely exited the area.
- More Wraith skins
- one random gen per match can be completed in 10 seconds.
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie lol

Ghost face isn't a m1 killer
He literally is. The definition of an "M1 Killer" is any killer who cannot directly injure or down a survivor with their power:
- Wraith
- Doc
- Freddy
- Ghostface
- Myers
- Dredge
- Hag
- Legion
- Clown

Because we already have precedent for how the removal of a Chapter plays out? One would logically assume the ST situation would repeat if Bubba left

5 games isn't going to put a dent in your MMR if you've played for any length of time.
Do you think winning 5 games would put you right at the top?
Even if it did, MMR is only one part of the puzzle. Matchmaking relies on who is available to match with, so a lack of suitable matches will result in an unmatched game. Plus backfilling, if anyone leaves the lobby, it scrambles to find a replacement ASAP and will drag in anyone off the street to fill that spot.
Why the ######### is there even an MMR system then if the matchmaking can just say "######### it" and ignore it entirely?

Even if we assume that 'finding and downing a survivor' is somehow not the primary objective of the killer...
Pop activates on hook. So not only does your argument still apply to pop, but you also have to find, down, carry, and hook for pop to get value.
Yes, but Pop was INSTANT regression that you know is doing something. Eruption requires you to kick the gen and pray nobody finishes it in the time that it takes you to down a survivor, at which point you MIGHT incapacitate a survivor, though you will more likely either hit nobody and get a pathetic 8% regression (barely more than just kicking the gen 3 times) or just have Eruption do jack squat because the gen popped as it was at 70% and the survivors just got back on the gen after you left.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3318667#Comment_3318667
Old Pop was 20% of 80 second gens for a total of 16 seconds saved
Eruption does 10% of 90 seconds gens for a total of 9 seconds saved, on top of 25 seconds that the survivor can't work on gens and the gen will be regressing for a total of 6.25 seconds
All together for about 40 seconds saved. And that is if eruption hits 1 survivor, it just gets better if it hits more
People who think old pop is less oppresive then eruption are not out of their mind. They are just better at math
You're forgetting a very important factor on Eruption: the fact that you need to invest an additional 30-60 seconds to find and down a survivor, during which time the survivors are on generators.
-
If you think old PGTW is less oppressive than Eruption, you're out of your mind. PGTW was a 20% instant regresion just for KICKING a gen with the only condition being playing the game, while Eruption is roughly 15% total regression if a survivor is Incapacitated by it, or a measly 8 if nobody is there, ASSUMING the killer gets a down before the gen just completes.
-
That's not a Borgo issue, that's you being bad at Wesker and facing a horrible Trickster.
-
I think BHVR should put up a vote on which Coldwind/Macmillian maps are favored by the community, then axe the others. There's just TOO MANY of them in rotation. Same goes for Badham, pick one variant and toss the others so other maps can actually be rolled.
-
Blight is fine, just need to rework the Rat/Crow and Ring. My suggestion is making the Blighted animals not stack with each other, and give Ring the downside of fully depleting the power gauge if you miss an attack for any reason.

But Trapper having 6 chase music? Thats lame
Let Trapper have his 6 chase musics, the man needs something unique. Alternatively, replace his TR with "Here comes the Trapper" by Samination
-
Unfortunately he's dogshit at that too. 12 seconds of patrolling like 20m of distance and chasing for another 12 at barely Agitation speed? You can literally get better area control by standing in a 3 gen with Wraith's generator addon.
-
@Eelanos said:
Let's give it the DS treatment. When hit, see all windows and pallets for 3 seconds and then disable it for the rest of the match. Maybe even give the killer a 3 second Haste after vaulting a highlighted window or dropping a pallet. That'll keep it balanced.
Let's be honest here, the reason this perk is so widely used is because all other survivor perks suck anyways and pallets and windows are going to be always universally useful, so might as well make looping more reliable than having perks disable as soon as you touch the ground.
Just look at DS and Blast Mine. There's so many requirements and exceptions to their activation that it's not worth having.
Reassurance was meant to prevent camping and it literally requires both the killer to camp and you to lick the survivor's feet to apply it.
Perks don't do what they're supposed to do, so the best option is to just equip Windows and try not to die for as long as possible.
Blast Mine is an amazing perk, wym? Literally just do a gen, then tap the button when the Killer chases you away and laugh your ass off when you hear the muffled explosion

Doesn't that say something about the state of the game when the only time people play the game is when it's basically 5x BP?

- A majority of the community does not play in a 4-man SWF. A majority of matches have SoloQ, and a mix of Split SWFs (2-man; 3-man).
- Base Kindred would literally not change SWF, since SWF can communicate when they are going for the save and such. This change would literally only affect SoloQ.
- Seeing Generator progression would literally not change SWF, since SWF can coordinate what Generators are being worked on and how much progress they have. This change would literally only affect SoloQ.
- "Survivors get 5 perks when you include basekit BT", Ive seen this argument a lot, but it literally ignores the 6.1.0 Patch that gave all Killers basekit Brutal Strength, PGTW, and STBFL, on top of reducing the Speed Burst you get from being injured.
- "So NOED should become basekit for all killers after last Generator. This counters a lot of second chances and things like Adrenaline alone with instantly healing each other where as the killer can't secure one kill after the last gen." So then what would be the point in running Adrenaline, or hell, any Endgame Perk as Survivor? NOED and Terminus are literally designed to counter Endgame Perks, a single one completely shuts down all use they have. And Endgame Perks are fine for both sides, making either side have them as Basekit becomes problematic.
- "How do I secure the kill with a fully healed Survivor that I have to chase and Killers hang around hooks on last Generator, this would promote less camping and tunneling during Endgame because the Killer will be more inclined to chase other Survivors." It literally doesnt matter what you change, people will camp and tunnel if they are winning or losing, if it's 1 Generator remaining or 5 Generators remaining, it literally doesnt matter.
Calling the kick and cooldown changes basekit pop and STBFL is such a laughably stupid take it's not even funny.

He has been out for 3 weeks.
This includes all the first week clueless adepting Knights.
Like the majority of characters these days he comes with 2 mediocre perks and 1 good perk. Let's see his winrate in 3 months.
Nightlight stats for Wesker,
Wesker first month - 12.7% pick rate, 54.41% Kill Rate.
Wesker second month - 8.59% pick rate, 56.23% Kill Rate.
Wesker third (and current) month - 6.27% pick rate, 55.34% Kill Rate.
This literally proves OP's point. Wesker remained at a stable, balanced 55% kill rate or so, which would imply that Knight will remain at the poor 48% kill rate, which is 7-12% lower than the average that BHVR is allegedly shooting for.

How? Devs cater to everything killer mains think of for several years now. Incentives and Q times are clear indicator. 61% average killrate in best 5% MMR also being clear indicator. And the devs are happy with current state. If anything, you will see survivors slowly leaving the game, because there will not be any new survivors now. Because killer is OP in stronger MMR group. All the killers but nurse must absolutely slaughter all the beginners every single game. So if anything Q times will be slowly going for that 1 hour mark for killers ;) It will not get better. It will get worse for killers. Even considering it already is instant for survivors and 5+mins for killers (prime gaming time excluded)
That would be the case, except I quite honestly could not care the slightest if I'm playing against real people or not. I play DbD to be a murder monster man and slaughter people, whether the people are controlled by humans or bots holds absolutely no concern over me. Therefore, bot games are an objective gain for me.

You can only clear 30m gaps in straight lines (ie: deadzones), and his pallet jump is so LAUGHABLY slow that the survivor can literally just run to the other side of the loop, assuming his bound even properly transitions into the vault, which only happens about half the time
