I think that by saying it got nerfed into the ground i made it clear that it really shouldn't be nerfed further.
Still wish they went with a range requirement instead of locking you to one hatchet
The problem with old iri head wasen't really that it was too strong (it was)
But how insanely common it was. You could very easilly have a iri head huntress every single game with her by playing a farming doctor match once in a while.
You could pretty much count on one or two of them every bloodweb.
Old iri head would be nowhere near the problem it was back then with the new system
Was just making sure lol, hard to tell sometimes with this community

More bp means more of the stronger addons means they'll have to be nerfed into the ground like iri head.
If there is one thing good about the current system it's that rare addons are actually rare now.
That said survivors bp gain desperatly needs to go up
I hope you aren't advocating for MORE Iri Head nerfs, it's arguably the most balance Iri rn

Correct.

2 Survivors: 53 seconds
3 Survivors: 43 seconds
4 Survivors: 41 seconds
withprove thyself:
1 Survivor: 90 seconds
2 Survivors: 45 secoonds
3 Survivors: 30 seconds
4 Survivors: 22.5 seconds
It makes gens pretty damn fast, remember it takes about 30 seconds to walk from one side of the map to the other. After downing a survivor, picking them up and hooking them usually takes around 10-15 seconds.
That's... actually disgusting ngl

So you have to run a specific build and waste 3 perks slots to fix a core gameplay mechanic? Alright it could work doesn’t seem like much fun but sure?
Doesn't change the fact any mobility or ranged killer is downing you almost instantly even with OTR unless you have amazing loops near you. If they’re playing a normal killer than yea, better then DS but considering half the killer roster is anti loop good luck. Only really works against M1 killers.
Even if you got downed instantly DS forced them to either wait a minute before tunneling or 5 second stun which could more often than not get you to a loop. You couldn’t really counter it if you were hard tunneling. Now with its 3 second pillow slap to the killers face you might as well put yourself back on hook. Theoretically OTR is better but in practice it has too many counters. You can still make more plays technically with OTR but if they bring 5 second DS back I can almost guarantee less or more killer will be punished for tunneling.
Why is it a problem for Survivors to run three perks to counter one game mechanic, but not for Killers to make full builds to MAYBE mitigate one possible problem, while still being unable to stop several others?

This isn't a single player game.
In mp, everyone should have a chance of winning. So Nurse does need a nerf because mastering her and using the best Perks and Add-ons make her indeed unbeatable.
@Sonzaishinai said:

That's not really true
Everyone deserves a chance to win.
If a team of equally experienced survivors can't beat a expierenced nurse no matter what then something is wrong.
Not saying this is the case just the whole experienced people deserve to be unbeatable statement is flawed.
Unbeatable doesn't fit in multiplayer games. That's for single player as the AI doesn't mind being a plaything yet
Killers literally should be unbeatable. DbD is NOT a 1v1 against the Killer, it is a 4v1 where every Survivor can be downed three times. You should literally never be able to escape from a killer, only delay them as much as possible and count on your team to make the most of the time you buy them.

The Killer is the power role, if somebody spent 3k hours mastering literally every facet of a specific Killer they quite frankly deserve to be unbeatable

Right, so if a killer has chased you and only you for the majority of the game, but you've managed to survive until the gates are powered, you're suddenly not being tunneled? This BHVR logic does not compute.
Unironically yes. The Killer literally has no other objective once the gates are powered, the gates will be open by the time they get there anyways unless their name is Billy, Blight or Nurse, so their only other objective is to ensure their most efficient target dies, which happens to be the one on a hook
-
Simpler solution is to keep the current timer, but have it start at the last generator. That way the endgame is spicier by being on the clock, no more 99%ing the gate
-
What? Hemorrhage has literally zero effect on Skill Checks
-
Easy solution: Make SWF its own queue. Then Killers that don't want to deal with SWF can actually enjoy the game, and SWF goes up against more skilled Killers that want to test themselves.

With the 10 second gen increase and the increased base regression cleansing totems is out of the question now, as Solo you barely have time to cleanse all 5 now, after the gutting you will most definitely wont have so its fix the gens, open gates, get out and call it a day, whoever gets NOEDd will have to croak for the good of the team.
@Bwsted said:
If you increase gen times, there's even less incentive to pre-cleanse, because you'd be literally throwing the match. It's already impossible to do now with a facecamping killer.
Someone who does play the game would know that the two things can't go together. And yet both changes were made. With aura to boot, so even less of a reason to touch totems early.
I've already said this, most of this update is backward compared to its declared goals. The noed change is but one example.
@Mat_Sella said:
I cant wait for the No Way Out/NOED games to skyrocket now that its going to be even harder to survive under those conditions when the killer is camping.
Cleanse? The gens dont get done before everyone is dead.
Don't Cleanse? You are all dead, but you know, at least the gens got done, right?
One word for all of you: Counterforce. Pop one totem, and you can chain all of them within two minutes. Best part is you nearly max out boldness without even encountering the Killer
-
Bear in mind, generators in general have been given longer times, and you have the alternative of running Jolt for no cooldown on regression

Unless they rework the perk completely, as long as they only change the numbers, it will always be in one of two states:
- Useless on most killers, viable on Plague and Legion
- Somewhat viable on most killers, absolutely broken on Plague and Legion
some killers are better at using certain perks than others. I'm All Ears is a decent chase perk, not as good as the likes of Bamboozle or Spirit Fury on most killers, but you cannot buff it, otherwise it will be even more broken on Nurse.
Except neither of those killers are particularly high tier to begin with?
-
Primarily because the game isn't balanced around good survivors. If you're facing a strong, coordinated team of survivors and you aren't Nurse, Blight or Spirit, you're going to get stomped on 90% of maps unless they get INSANELY overconfident and let you snowball
-
Where are you guys finding the new PTB notes?
-
@Regulus47 said:
Nope. That would be broken on victor. Just release him next to a dropped pallet, herd the survivor into it, get free down. And that's just the first thing I can think of.
This perk is fine. It's practically a free down when it activates so I think it's fair that survivors get warned it's in play. It's like boil over
All Killer perks are disabled when playing as Victor

Freddy is the best of the 3, because he has complete map mobility to any uncompleted generator he wants and he has an anti-loop ability.
Sadako is next best, because she has near complete map mobility to any uncompleted gen she wants and has a secondary effect which slows down gen progress, the tapes.
Demogorgon is worse. He has to setup before he has any map mobility. Has no slowdown potential and an ability to doesn't help in looping at all. Demogorgon is cute but Dredge is the best killer model of all the killers.
---
Dredge isn't even in the same ballpark as those 3, in how good he is. He has map mobility to anywhere on the map. He has anti-loop ability. He has survivor detection ability. And he has built in undetectable during nightfall.
Demogorgon is LEAGUES better than Sadako. He can place his portals wherever he wants, and survivors not only take longer to cleanse them but also are hit by Oblivious while doing so. He even gets solid anti-loop besides, which Sadako sorely lacks

You make it sound like there isn't a locker at just about everywhere important or that 12 seconds is a long time for a teleport compared to the time everything else takes for actions or the fact that's multiple times in a single chase; along with the option to set one to shut down a loop.
Because there often isn't? I have been playing a LOT of Dredge, and I frequently have objectives with no easy lockers nearby

I very much doubt you can grab anyone mid-lock. You lock extremely fast, even if you were in the locker right beside you defo don´t get out before the other guy has locked fully.
You must think that repairing a generator is 5 min of survivor time. 💯
You can grab mid-lock, any interactions with a locker containing The Dredge will result in an instant grab

Dredge is far from trash, he's just more map-dependant than other Killers. His teleport, ESPECIALLY in Nightfall, is insanely good once you get a feel for what lockers are where and the most efficient chain to check the map
@KillerKiryu47 said:

1. That's an outright lie. Nightfall doesn't affect his speed.
2. Yippee! 1 second saved and it cant be locked ever again!
3. By this logic, nurse is an m1 killer.
You even made it clearer how easy of a killer he is to get a 4K with by flexing the adept achievement on match 2. Do you not see how this makes no sense?
- It literally does, Nightfall causes the teleport speed to go from 12 m/s to 38 m/s, along with cutting the cooldown from 12 seconds to 4. This DRASTICALLY increases his mobility, nearly to the point of him being everywhere at once
- It takes Dredge roughly 3(?) seconds to exit a locked locker, this can very easily mean the difference between reaching a pallet or loop and getting a hit, and frequently has in my matches as him
- This point is mostly accurate ngl, Dredge has solid antiloop that keeps him from being pure m1
-
@RiskyKara said:
I think he's OP purely because look at this. I am not a good Killer, I often get curb stomped to hell and back with 4 escapes being almost guaranteed when you go against me. I should not be able to do this and it has happened several games tonight. I don't even have a plan, I just do things and it's working out.
Endgame screen is literally meaningless without gameplay to show how the survivors played
-
Dredge is FAR from the hardest Killer to evade in endgame, he relies on the RNG of having lockers near the gates. Demogorgon, Billy, Blight or Nurse are far more threatening with their patrol speed
-
@Anara said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2988299#Comment_2988299
Oh nice but it can leave its portal near hooks
Not a big deal since it makes Dredge move slower than Nurse when it's out
-
Like the other people said, if Dredge teleports to an occupied locker, he instantly grabs them. The same thing will happen if a survivor attempts to open or lock a locker that the Dredge is currently occupying
-
That's literally just Demogorgon's power with an extra (useless) hindered effect. Are you saying Demogorgon is OP too?

Funny. Whenever it comes to the point to say that DBD is losing players, some people mention Twitch-Viewers. But now they are not mentioned:
DBD 25k
Evil Dead 2300
VHS 4300
Strange....
They are not really competition. Really, only because a game is asymmetrical does not mean that it will compete with DBD. Especially if you can actually fight back as Survivor on those games - Killers already complain about DS, how would they feel if the Survivors can actually fight back? Doubt they would like it.
And last but not least, it is kinda naive to think that other games will not run into Balance Problems or Bugs or anything what gets critized on DBD.
Evil Dead released less than 6 months ago, and VHS isn't even fully out yet. DbD has been out for 5 years now, and has seen its playerbase drop by HALF in the last year. I think both games have a chance at unseating, or at least competing, once they have actually had some time to exist. Also, using twitch numbers is frankly idiotic, considering the fact that people WATCHING the game are very obviously not PLAYING the game. Twitch numbers literally means 25,000 people would rather watch somebody else play DbD than actually PLAY it, which is needless to say, not a very good look.

Ironic you should suggest this, right after David coming out of the Locker. Its well known LGBT characters are censored in Russia and China.
Also @Sushi191 did some more reading, Diazepam or Valium Pills are used to relax and prevent anxiety, which is weird cause the addon reads:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/E476G10YAXW2/image.png
It increases nervousness, also the effect is about getting up and energy, the exact opposite of Diazepam or Valium Pills.
What kills the Drug Rating Theory for me is that Caffeine Pills are a drug too, a much greater killer (of young people) current year as well.
Wikipedia is a treasure, but anyway, if we wanna know, gotta get answer from BHVR.
Fifty bucks says that's why they picked David, it's easier to say that a character is LGBT outside of the game than to make an actual LGBT character that will cause DbD to be pulled in China, Russia, etc

I would advocate this if it weren't for the fact that some killers put you in lose/lose scenarios without DH. I think if DH were to get nerfed that would need to be addressed as well. I'm by no means saying that it's balanced or healthy. But many of the good survivors run it expecting these sorts of situations. i.e a ranged killer is going to barely clip you after turning a corner, zoned out by an ability, trying to not get hit through a window 1 second after vaulting. Some may say that these are deserved, but I disagree. The killer will eventually gain enough distance on you that those abilities are unavoidable. And it doesn't take as long as you would think. And zoning is not a playstyle that should be promoted. It eventually becomes less of a skillful play and more "no you can't do x because I can do y". Equally comparable to DH, maybe even stronger as it doesn't require a perk slot.
Balancing every single killer power to account for this would be very hard and would probably take a long time. But if we truly want a "balanced" dbd, or as close as we can get to one, then we need to account for both parties.
That's LITERALLY the point of the Killer. You should never, EVER have a get-out-of-jail-free card available at the press of a button for zero consequence in a 1v4 game

It doesn't matter how "likely" it is, the fact that a survivor can spawn in a match and due to how the RNG works, has a 0% chance of escaping with nothing to do with how they played/skill level and what have you, that is not okay.
I'd be willing to accept "it's just rng lol" if the developers clearly weren't trying to make the game more "competitive" with things like SBMM
RNG is literally Pig's entire kit, and SBMM is the biggest joke BHVR made since claiming to not have a bias towards either side
-
Pig literally has less than a 50% chance of getting a single kill with that strat, and only about 20% chance of getting two kills. Accept that you got cucked by RNG and move on tbh
