Explain how a clown or plague is supposed to "pressure" their way out of a gen popping in the time it takes them to cross the map

That's the thing. Supposedly does not mean fact.
Generally things stated by devs can be taken as fact

It just came out not even 30 minutes ago and you already think it's broken? You are truly the master of jumping to conclusions.
The MMR was supposedly tracking stats for like a month, but OP is going against survivors with several thousand hours on a killer they JUST bought, meaning they should have 0 MMR

3 games in a row with red ranks that called me ######### for being bad at nurse, whover designed the MMR needs to be fired and blacklisted for extreme incompetence

If it didn't stack.
Instead, anytime a dc. Whatever reason. You wait 10 minutes. Each time. I believe it's fair
Honestly that sounds pretty fair. Long enough to cool off, but short enough that you can come back and play again in a little while
-
If hook trades are happening, you're doing it wrong. Leave the survivor on the hook and the killer will be forced to either take the 1-2k or actually patrol gens

That's where frequency comes in. You wouldn't get punished unless you demonstrate a consistent habit.
And if your teams have a consistent habit of getting wiped?
-
@TAG said:

Frequency + time spent on hook before they died on first hook + time that has passed before they were hooked
Just a couple days ago I had a Bubba down all 3 survivors with one sweep while I was on first hook, should I be penalized for wanting to get out faster from an already lost game?
-
It's impossible. How is BHVR supposed to know the difference between somebody that's suiciding and somebody that knows theres no escape?
-
Literally everybody saw this coming. Now that Billy's addons are a dumpster fire, people want Spirit gutted too

If you're getting randomly disconnected so often it's stacking check your files, your rig and submit a ticket. If they commit suicide killer still gets their BBQ stack and hook points.
Even if I get locked out for 15 minutes, an hour, whatever, my life doesn't depend on a game. I'm not gonna come here and cry because I can't play my game for FIFTEEN minutes. If it locks you out for more than that, like I said, complain. It's not normal. What I see is some dude whining over 5 minutes of downtime.
OP didnt even get disconnected, they completed the trial and STILL got a ban

DbD is far from dead. Stagnant, maybe. But the playerbase has stayed mostly consistent if Steam Charts are to be believed

I don't think Bubba is racist or would ever wear the face.
Like I get what DBD was going for in creating the faces, but it hasn't turned out the way it was intended, I think.
I'm like 90% certain Bubba is either unaware of race or doesn't give a #########. All he cares about is appeasing his "family". To Bubba, all of the survivors are the same: meat to be put down
-
Both of them have very similar counters, break LOS. Even if PH can attack through stuff, he has to know where to aim. Break LOS and run to the next loop. For DS, just keep literally anything between you. His power can't kill you if he can't get into M1 range(I'm fairly certain DW resets on each spear)

No, they multiply the base speed of the killer.
That's news to me lol, I thought NOED was making my Hag a 114% killer all this time
-
@Yung_Slug said:

If you convert it to a decimal you have to remove the % from it. But for a perk description, you generally want to just keep it as "5%". A decimal would be less accurate because not every killer has the same speed. A 5% speed boost for a nurse would be a 0.1925 m/s increase but for a trapper it would be 0.23 m/s, if my math is correct.
Actually, aren't % increases/decreases to movement speed based on the 100% Survivor sprint? Like how Killers are 115/110%?
-
Depends, Killer is the power role if the team doesn't have comms, survivors otherwise

A good portion of the community refers to totems as Bones due to Samination

Wow, encouraging unsportsmanlike behaviour....
It’s not the survivors fault that you give them no reason to get off gens.
"bro why aren't you chasing me clicking my flashlight while my team genrushes, I want my sick blinds for my ochido fanpage!"
-
Bots.
-
Fix, BHVR needs to take a few months to look at the bugs and fix as many as possible before inevitably adding more in the next content update
-
Honestly BHVR should give the Lopro chains to Bubba without the downside, and make Billy's Iri cool the chainsaw by like 30% on a successful chainsaw hit
-
@snozer said:
If you make that baseline then he won't have anything to equip lol.
We only have 2 people working on balance? this explains everything...
Portal Speed/Portal quantity addons are pretty good, as are the Shred cooldown addons. Nothing on the level of "extra hatchets" or "50% demon dash charge reduction", but solid addons nontheless

I guess is more because he can have a lot of pressure, and "pressure" is kinda gay, since the only thing you have to do is put snares on the ground, and is pretty hard to get out of the dreams, since you will enter in the dream every 30 seconds, and self care is very hare this days, basicaly a boring killer
Microsleep is 60 seconds, 90 if you grab a clock. His snares do literally nothing if you're awake. If you are unfortunate enough to be asleep in a chase, drop the pallet early and hold w, then wake up ASAP
-
@BigFatChungus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1485521#Comment_1485521
But then we will need to balance every killer, and........
I dont believe devs will do that, the only time they make it and actualy makes the killer strong, was freddy
But freddy just become a boring killer that every monkey can 4k
I don't know why everybody has so much of an issue with Freddy, he literally has no power if you stay awake
-
@BigFatChungus said:

It sounds idiot, and kinda ignorant, i understand that, you can win games with bad killers BUT """"gen rush""""" is pretty common when you playing as leatherface or as wraith, or clow, and you cant say this ins't true, low tiers killers is more likely for you to lose when playin against good survivors
And THAT is why genrush is an issue. It should be reasonably simple to win as any killer in the roster, otherwise you get the current stale meta of Spirit, Billy, Oni, and Huntress
-
@BigFatChungus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1485419#Comment_1485419
Im not saying that this is only possible with powerfull killers, with you play correctly with for example: trappee, plague, demogorgon, hillbily and etc you can still beat """gen rush""" (i doenst even think this exist)
Did you play wraith and expects to not get fast gen progess?
Im talking about mid tier killers to high tier killers, you obvious not gonna win games with bad killers, stop complaining about that
"You're not gonna win games with bad killers"
Do you have any idea how idiotic that sounds?
-
To be fair, Huntress is a high tier killer capable of considerable pressure. Good luck doing that kind of thing with Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, or Clown. They have zero pressure
-
Honestly they shouldve just waited until the new matchmaking was actually READY. What's the point otherwise?

Duh, PTB stands for Preview Teasing Bullshit

I literally just got a game with a Bubba who has chainsaw and ran NOED how Is that fair?
Bubba barely counts as an instadown killer, at least pre-rework(haven'y played new Bubba yet). If you got chainsawed, you were likely out of position or greedy with your pallets
-
The first thing survivors learn about any mobile/instadown killer is to NEVER group up thanks to IF. Calm Spirit and lockers also prevent you from screaming, though it's likely almost impossible to use a locker for it
-
That sounds logical, it would be a bit OP otherwise
-

1 lockers aren't safe thanks to iron maiden and aren't in every corner of the map.
2 not every generator can you hide at the perfect angle to not be seen.
3 distortion won't be good until you have a way to get stacks back since Myers can get rid of 3 stacks in just as many seconds and that's without bbq.
4 sure, stay close by but I've then seen killers circle around the hook till the survivor hits at least phase 2
5 that's the obvious one and killers predict it a lot if they are smart
6 is valid but has just as many issues as 5.
And for the person who said that if only Ds and dh were as easy to counter imagine. The thing is those are super easy. Dh is all about the mindgame make them pop it early and you're gold and ds don't be a tunneling dick and you're gold and if you aren't being tunnely they just ran at you in the middle of a different chase finish that chase first
- Literally nobody runs Iron Maiden except Huntresses and Legions, so you really should see it coming
- You don't need to be perfectly hidden because there's likely going to be two other survivors that are far more obvious
- I'm fairly certain Myer's stalk doesn't affect Distortion but I could be wrong
- If a survivor hasn't shown up in about 15 seconds assuming Chili didnt proc, most killers will assume that all survivors have either used lockers or left the hook and wander away
- That's called mindgaming, its a skill needed by both sides to be succesful
- You can literally go in ANY direction to make this strategy work, the killer is coming towards the gen, so you just need to be anywhere but there
-
Honestly the meta would be healthier if STBFL was the only basic attack perk. all other perks would be affected by the following:
- Hatchets
- Chainsaws
- Demon Strike
- Punishment of the Damned
- Feral Frenzy
- Ambush Dash
- Shred
- Corrupt Purge(NOT Vile Purge)
All other sources of damage would be unchanged
-
You could technically make the same argument about slamming the gens in 5 minutes with no hooks. Sure the killer's enjoyment of downing survivors matters?
-
The ones that just got the game and haven't been introduced to the death squads
-
Bro we can't have a serial child murderer in the game, his game is from a franchise for kids! Never mind the fact that SEVERAL children have died offscreen and you literally get GUTTED AT THE END OF THE 5TH GAME, Markiplier played it so it's a kids game!

You could remove all those counter plays for the ones I suggested other than lockers.
Noise notifications have always been trash perks because they tell you where the survivor WAS. The only noise-related perk that is run for the screams is Infectious Fright, and even that is only run on mobile instadowns like Oni, Billy, and Myers. Deathbound is run for the Oblivious effect, MYC is run for the instadowns(You can't even tell the scream because there's already the bubble from unhooking), Rancor is run for the free mori, and Iron Maiden is run by huntresses for an easier reload. The trade-off for the aura reveal is that it doesn't work on survivors that take 4 seconds to make the killer think they went in a different direction than they actually took.

Reveal perks on either side breaks immersion. They should be the least useful perks. People should be able to play stealth if that's how they like to play. Stealth Killers for example, no terror warning, can crouch, block redstain, where the hell did he come from!?
Use your eyes. every single stealth killer in the game has some kind of cue when they're on you.
- Ghostface makes rustling noises when moving and has to peek around a corner to stalk.
- Myers has super loud breathing and is the size of a skyscraper
- Pig is incapable of harming you when crouched unless she stands up or activates her ambush and is slower than you
- Wraith cannot hurt you in cloak and shimmers as he moves.
Considering you said Spine Chill is in your build there is ZERO reason any of them are getting the drop on you.
Also, the reason stealth isnt viable is an immersed survivor likely isnt doing a generator. The goal isn't to hide from the killer(well, not the ONLY goal). Until you walk out the exit gate, you havent won, and you CAN'T leave until you power the gens
-
BBQ is INCREDIBLY easy to counter.
- Hide in a locker
- Hide behind the generator you're working on
- Run Distorion
- Stay within 42 meters of the hook
- Move one way, then the other to throw them off
- Just leave the area 4 seconds after a survivor is hooked
-
Because bugs affecting killers don't matter
-
What's MGLA?

She pretty much will 4k against top tier survivors, even a decent spirit.
Why should a DECENT spirit 4k against top tier survivor? you got it, she doesn't take S K I L L
I've gone as far back in your channel as this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrrLnTRuAdM
NONE of those games are against top-tier survivors, they are mediocre at best. it takes them almost 2 minutes to clear the first gen, they sit behind rocks and trees for a free hit, there was even a Nea who thought she could blind you mid-carry. I meet stronger survivors at green ransk than the survivors you go against. Even ignoring that, almost NONE of your downs were achieved by being spirit, they were almost all basic m1 downs that a wraith or trapper could do better. The VAST majority of your phases ended up being for movement, which Wraith, (formerly) Billy, and to an extent Demogorgon and Oni can do far better

You can watch my spirit games vs top tier survivors.
And dude, that are 99% of the matchets I get on ps4 and im always at red ranks... People act like if they always go against coordinated 4 man squads, and I do not understand it
Why should Spirit be nerfed because of the fact that 99% of survivors are brainlets? Where does that leave her against actual skilled survivors?

Dude, you can check my YT channel if you want, LordKimber.
I play spirit and it is most of the time a win without any effort required, I just have a good pair of headphones and that's all you need, just use a slowdown build, and say welcome to the ez 4k, Im not trying to get spirit nerfed im just being honest, and yup im red ranks on both sides.
Btw deathslinger isn't that hard, maybe on console but rn im playing on PC and doing the quick scope isn't that skillful.
Huntress? maybe, but most of the time they get carried by their awesome connection and wonderful hitboxes.
I watched the two matches you played as Spirit, and the survivors you were going against had to have been some of the dumbest I have EVER seen. It took them almost 5 minutes to get one gen done on LERYS. They hookbombed, refused to heal when unhooking, and seemed to be allergic to gens. That doesn't mean Spirit is strong, it means the survivors suck
