Well, if since we're getting small teasers already from DBD's twitter, I'll have to say the video teaser is probably coming as soon as tomorrow or within 2-3 days from now.

It's just never been my cup of tea. When I first joined this forum, I was perfectly fine with the idea, however, but a few certain individuals that were very annoying about the idea kinda ruined it.
Still, this place would be saltier than the dead sea.
Still think it's original though.
I get it, same for me with characters like Chucky, just never fully got the appeal. Also, yup, it only takes a few bad applies to ruin the whole box, kind of similar to my experience with dbd recently, sadly. :(
Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes TOO high, hype responsibly and all that. Still, the salt would be... DELICOUS! >:)

I personally do want him, mainly because of just how unique in design and power wise he'd, hopefully, would be but, I'd absolutely have a complete field day if with just how much people would get pissy over it! xD

Well, it lookS "glitchy" and well, I know of one Popular hoRror character from a game franchIse that glitches out on the maiN screen but, if I said his name, I'd Get my head ripped off. :/

I prefer the original chapters, honestly. They're more creative most of the time, both in lore and aesthetic.
Yeah, I understand why some do prefer the original chapters. They have infinitely more freedom to do whatever they want with them. When it comes to license's though, nope, absolutely not. They're lucky to even get any sort of cosmetics for them. I just prefer them because, well, for one, I'm a HUGE horror fan so, of course, seeing some of my favorite faces from games, movies, shows and whatever else pop up if always wonderful to see. My other main reason is because I love to see how they mold and mend them to work within DBD itself and what kind of powers they come up with for them. I do have to disagree about aesthetic, at least, for some of the them. Some, you can very clearly tell where the inspiration is coming from which brings that down for me a tad bit, personally. Others, however, I think are indeed extremely cool, coming from a lot of the more recent og killers introduced. The lore has always been hit or miss for me, once again, just a personal thing. :)
Side tangent aside, yeah, like I said, I do think it'll probably be a original. The only three possible ways I could see it being licensed is if,
- They got a license holder to actually, somehow, agree to NOT include a location from whatever license they acquired because they'd prefer to just focus on reworks for now. Not impossible but, very unlikely because if you go through the effort to get a license, why not try and get as much out of it?
- They get a map and still release a updated map/realm along with it but only one that has a map or two included in it. So, something like Red Forest for example. Although, that could take away from the actual license map included with the chapter which, I don't think is really THAT much of a issue because, well, to be honest, the license holders probably wouldn't care all too much. As long as the chapter is a success, they'll be happy.
- The one I'd be the LEAST happy with but, I'd still accept it is... we get a paragraph again. It's self-explanatory why we wouldn't get a map with that, unless they REALLY want to shake things up and give use their weirdest chapter yet.
Anyways, yeah, I have a LOT to say when it comes to licenses and opinions on licenses so, sorry about the TED talk! lol

As much as I would love for it to be Jason, since the franchise has sadly come down to, apparently, only court cases and legal squabbles, I can’t see Jason entering DBD anytime soon. As depressing as that is to say, seeing as how he is after all the last great slasher icon we need.

I’m really hoping it’s a Resident Evil chapter but, I’m still standing by my opinion that we’re possibly getting two licensed chapters in a row and, I’d be happy with a lot of licenses for the next two chapters. So, basically, it’s a win-win in my book no matter what. :)

Well, then why would they even remotely mention it in the survey if it wasn’t possibly on the table?
Also, the whole reason McLean acted like that is because he was tired of getting spammed by people about it. Plus, he’s not a part of the marketing department and THEY have the ultimate decision to decide what gets added or not. If it’s going to make them a lot of money, then it’s probably in the “we’re definitely going to look into it” pile.

I’m really hoping that we could get two licensed chapters back to back. One being Resident Evil and the other being... well, I have zero idea and that’s the wonderful part. :)

From all the rumors that have been circling around, I’m going to just go out on a limb here and say we are going to get two licensed chapters back to back. Which, I don’t mind whatsoever because I prefer the licensed chapters over the originals personally. As to what either of those chapters could pertain too, well, I think one of them will be the ever so highly speculated Resident Evil chapter. :D

Yup, I would love it just as much as I’d like any other licensed. I’d like it because of just how unique a FNAF/Springtrap chapter could be both in look and gameplay wise. Though, I’ll say this but, I think it would work much better as a paragraph then a full chapter.

As someone who has, and is, playing the alpha, I can say that I’m personally having a blast with it! A tiny bit janky here and there but, it’s a alpha, I expect that. I can’t wait to eventually play the infected though. That’s something I’m really looking forward too.

I actually also made a discussion about this a bit ago but, personally, I believe we probably won’t be seeing new original maps until all the map overhauls are done. Licensed chapters are a completely different story though, those will most certainly have a map with them.

I have WAY too many to pick from and choose. A few would be a Resident Evil chapter, of course F13, Alien, Springtrap, Pumpkinhead, The Ring, The Grudge and many, MANY others. Literally, the only licensed chapter I’d absolutely loathe is Jeepers Creepers and I’d most certainly drop this game if they were revealed.

I would love to see another Red Forest map, it’s my personal favorite looking original realm. In the meantime though, I’m just happy with the map overhauls for the time being. :)

I know I’m possibly in the minority but I personally love Midwitch, I also personally really enjoy Dead Dawg... Yamaoka on the other hand, don’t necessarily care for either. I do love the new overhauls though, brings about new life into old realms.

You know, I was just looking at Paulies Twitter and he brought up a very good point. At the end of that teaser, there’s no trademarks. Usually, at the end of any licensed trailer or teaser, they have a trademark on it. The one and only exception is the Saw teaser trailer. So, just take that for what you will.

I don’t want to start hyping myself up for disappointment but... I’m getting some super heavy Until Dawn wendigo vibes from that teaser and the Twitter caption sounds like something straight out of or related to Until Dawn. Like I said though, don’t wanna get hyped up about that because of, well, Sony. :/
