  • Doctor counters looping easily, with shock treatment. You can't vault or use pallets if you're screaming. Leatherface is only weak against the most experienced players. The rest of them who get caught without a pallet go down easy. All he has to do use use chainsaw, run a bit faster, and they can't get away unless he hits a wall, which isn't too often. These killers aren't very weak, there are just survivors who have been looping and learning for a long time.

  • The 8 meters of Technician is insufficient if the killer isn't just passing by the area, if they're coming to the gen it's useless. Currently, it doesn't work as it should. Recent videos prove it makes things louder. The chance to negate a failure is still okay, but overall the perk is low tier. I wish they'd change it to silence or something. Killers can still see it working, as well as come over and check it out anyway.

Maybe silence is too strong, but it could use something. I'll run this instead of DS or MoM, so I want something at least decent in my perk slot. Know what I run since it's broken? Deja Vu. Every time a gen is done, it shows the three closest gens to each other, which is funny if the game is ending and the gens are all across the map. I'd still like Technician to be fixed and maybe get a small buff, though.

  • Left Behind changes?

  • DBD Anniversary should give Trapper a Nea mask o_o

*Or Legion, since they're roughly the same size.

  • I'm still in that "stick to the gen, hide from the killer" phase of DBD. I like doing gens. I like the sounds, the animations, and while I understand many of you are really sick of it, you do have to keep an eye out for the killer, some of whom can approach without noise or visual models. Unless you know that it's a killer who cannot stealth OR that the killer is chasing someone else, you're never safe.

I'm sick and tired of the Wiggle/Struggle mechanics, especially when they're tiring and wearing my equipment. I don't want to add more things like that, especially to something you're stuck on for minutes per game, like generators. I'll take second objectives like gathering parts over more mini-games.

  • I asked in the other thread, but when the Test goes live, someone please comment on what the changes are! I'd love to know, I started using it on Jeff as a Bill replacement and it was funny to have it "just in case." It would be neat if it did something good with the new EGC in effect.

  • Technician is still broken, I think. I'd love for it to be fixed and reduce the sounds. I use it for stealth, and the failed noise negation is just a bonus. I'm afraid to take it now, since I'm going to start using No Mither and I don't want to make more noise than normal.

  • Most of the time it activates you're doing a gen yourself or just wandering aimlessly nowhere near the killer. It only really helps if the killer is nearby when you complete a gen, or you happen to be in a chase at the time. They can still see you, so the scratches only help if you break line of sight. I don't use it because it's too situational and I can't waste two slots to combo Lithe with Dance With Me.

  • What are you talking about? None of that is true, and she has the best cosmetics.

  • A new mechanic that triggers if everyone is injured would be great. Survivors become desperate (lore-wise) and suffer some penalty, nothing major but some annoyance would be a neat addition to really make you feel like you're trapped in a deadly situation, aside from ruining your equipment mashing Struggles and Wiggles.

  • What will happen to Left Behind? I didn't see the changes to perks they're making, so maybe they already answered it.

  • At first I didn't know if this post was legit, but it ended with "memes," so...

  • I love it as a creepy setting and think it's perfect for this game, however there are some issues. Most of them are bowl-shaped so anyone on the edge (like the killer) can see everything in the center. There are too many wide-open areas dangerous to get caught in. Everyone hates this map so often people leave or give up on first hook.

The Crow Bombs are awesome though I think that's a nice touch. I would love to see more environmental hazards in other maps, such as areas that flood and can't be accessed, gates that open and close changing the layouts, deadly traps that can injure you (not like Trapper, these would likely not show location, just move from Healthy>Injured but not Downed).

  • @Yohan Right now, the killer is the host, so everything usually works fine for them, but the survivors get lag, take hits they didn't see, etc. With dedicated servers, we'll all be connected to the host server, so it should even out.

  • I've been waiting! I put that link in my profile so everyone would know. I want it so bad!

  • I get hit by Huntress axes around corners every day. I'm really looking forward to dedicated servers, so killers actually have to hit me.

  • I want some nerdy glasses for all the characters, yes. Or rabbit ears.

  • You can 'kinda' play those matches, it's just really awful and almost pointless. I thought you'd mention the bugs where survivors can't heal or be healed, or the wiggle bug that prevents you from escaping the killer in any capacity. Those are what's making survivors unplayable sometimes.

  • I... dunno. Rank doesn't mean so much now, especially since awful tactics can get you rank to the detriment of other people's experience. Imagine how sweaty everyone will become (both sides) if they were all desperate for sweet, sweet Rank 1 Rewards? I'll take more BP to negate some of the grind, or hell faster Iridescent Shards so I can buy more cosmetics. I think they want to keep that as slow as possible though, but it would be nice.

Maybe the rewards can be discounts on their IS cosmetics? I'd be okay missing out on that.

  • The older version of Clementine, sure. Just put her in as a Paragraph survivor-only. Perks: who cares? You're buying your fandom, not the perks that comes with it. Something about stealth, I bet.

  • Boil Over could use a buff. It hardly makes a difference, it seems, and I've been running it ever since I got Kate. I hate having to pair it with something like Flip Flop just to make it effective, and only in the specific example of getting carried by the killer. Any of the killer's carry perks will negate Boil Over. I don't think it needs a Wiggle reduction but removing hook auras further or totally would be great. It's not like they can't use the hooks, they just won't see them as easily.

  • It was fun for the Blendettes... too bad I use her white jacket and stick out like a sore thumb. You can find me even in the corn.

  • Filthy Blade was killing us in a few matches. That's all it takes. Successive Mends are into the minutes. You're better off taking Unbreakable and running to the corner so Legion can't get to you before you Recover. It shows them where you go down, you know.

  • I don't see the problem with SWFs as they are in-game. The four-man Claudette Squad is some of my most intensely fun matches ever. You hook one and there's a whole cluster of 'em swarming around for a rescue, you're all just having a good time. Get some, let the others go, and it's a great match for all. Really there's no need to stress going against the group, everyone can be friendly to each other and enjoy the game.

  • Yeah, I used it back then as well, and I believe it worked for your ears as well (the gen didn't sound loud at all when you were working on it solo). But I'm worried now since it apparently makes it louder instead.

The 50/50 silent explosion is nice, especially when trying to hit Hex chex (see what I did?) but I really hate the whole loudness aspect, especially when I'm trying to stealth hardcore. I always run to the center gens first, so that noise reduction was glorious when the killer was doing the first sweep and I was trying to get the priority gens done early.

*Ugh, why did I turn into such a cringe-inducing lame-o? I just reread my post and even I want to slap me. I apologize, I'm on some pain meds now because of some physical trauma and I guess I'm out of it.

  • It's a great addition, and exciting as well. Why be so negative about it? The purpose was to end the game that was already over, without people hanging around/hiding out in the map so the killer's running around pointlessly. It satisfies its intended purpose.

  • The rank system is partially to blame. I say keep the ranks, but disband the matchmaking. Ranks will now affect rewards. If you are a low rank playing against a high rank, you get better rewards because you're facing someone much more experienced than you.

  • Yeah, I think it's still broken. Shame, as it's one of my favorite perks.

  • What if all the survivors are hiding in lockers or behind gens? Does that still work? There might not actually be any survivors nearby. BBQ is to discourage camping. If you don't see anyone, leave the hook and go check the gens!

  • Yeah, but I do like the intensity of a doomsday ending. I think it's a great addition, and remember some killers might just want you out anyway, so they'll open the gate and start the process to flush you out. I'm really looking forward to it. Fighting off the Entity is a really cool concept and it makes sense from a lore perspective as well, since it still needs to eat, after all.

  • Story of my life, friend. I used to hide and still first down. Then I rushed the center gen because it's most important, but apparently they check that first usually. You can hide in the corner and still get sawed by Billy first, somehow. The best you can do is not to give up and leave the other three by themselves just because you're caught out early. Stay in the game as long as you can and become an extra target for the killer. Sometimes you have a bad start, but it ends up a good game and you get out anyway. Hang in there!

  • I think it should be more like Deep Wounds when you're about to go down. I lost a chase the other day because I couldn't see a damn thing, the screen was nearly black and I couldn't even tell where I was. From a horror standpoint, it was great! We need more of that.

*Oh and buff Third Seal, that perk is so underrated and I think there's a lot of possibilities. Maybe have a fake Hex Totem that, when Cleansed, makes everyone Blind. That might be too strong...

  • I see it a lot too in the purple ranks. The thing is people rank that way, so it's all they know. At low ranks a lot of survivors are headless chickens, but middle-onward they're all super-friendly who rush for saves, meaning no gens and 3 swarming bodies to go for. It's why Kindred is so important and you wish people who are on hook won't give up right away; let us wait for a bit and then save you when it's safe. Please don't Attempt Escape and Struggle as long as you can to buy us more time, even if it means we get gens while you die.

You can be the only death in this match! Let's teach them this is not okay; or did you want all of us to die? =( If it makes you feel better, I'll hang there while you all escape, every time. But don't give up just because you're first hook. We'll do our best to help.

  • I have a decent chunk of hours, but they can't tell how bad I am. If only they knew... one of the reasons why I wish we could choose to show the other side our perks/item loadouts.

I'm currently running Boil Over, Dance With Me, Botany Knowledge, and Deja Vu, my new favorite [silly] perk. It's not like I'm a threat to anyone. I can't outrun a Leatherface and hatchets hit me around corners all night long. I'm basically a free hook for killers.

  • Is only one gate 'powered' that starts the Collapse? There might be a gate to open that doesn't start the timer. I don't know.

  • Are we going to see more Ugly Sweaters for newer characters come Christmas? I want to see Jane's, and maybe a new one for Claudette.

  • The changes make Legion better for everyone. The power cancels but you retain the charge, so you can activate it soon if you have plenty left. Also, you can M1 just fine since you'll be as fast as the other killers (I know that's the point you made about Trapper, but Legion won't walk around anymore). Give Legion a chance and see if you truly don't like the changes they've made.

And, again, you can't be Susie without Legion ~_^

  • How about... the killer from Power Drill Massacre?

  • Yeah I think on some platforms you can separate Heal/Pallet, but I don't know what controller users should do.

I haven't seen it in a while, but there was an issue a while back (maybe just lucky so far) where a sacrificed player's item would sit beneath a hook, and an attempt to rescue a following survivor, usually in basement, would make you pick up the item instead of go for a save. It was so annoying, especially if the killer was right there. Has this been fixed? I haven't encountered it in a while, so I don't know if it still does that.

  • It would be neat if they added in a silly perk for Survivors, something to activate when the Entity takes them and sets a trap for the killer maybe, slowing them down so that others can escape at the expense of your life. I love perks that change the rules a bit, even in weird ways, like No Mither. *Although if everyone dies at the same time, it wouldn't work... everyone has the same timer, right? Hmm. I'll think of something even worse and get back to you.

  • As opposed to what we have now? I think it's a fine addition and doesn't require speeding up. The Killer doesn't deserve free easy kills just because the gens have been completed. Not to mention a lot of people in lower ranks are going to suffer, so let's not go crazy with backlash about changes we haven't tested yet.

  • It looks awesome, and I honestly can't wait. Now all we need is Feng Min's bunny hoodie and we'll be all set =)

  • Legion was created for Killers who wanted someone fun to play, who would also slow the game down a bit. Deep Wounds does exactly that. It's not terribly fun for Survivors having to stop what they're doing and Mend on top of any Healing they'd like to do, which effectively slows down progress.

Healing has already been slowed, along with people who run Thana, Butcher, etc. it can take forever even with Botany Knowledge. The new changes mean that if a survivor escapes the chase, they still have to stop and Mend, otherwise they go down and you can see where they are. FF is supposed to last a lot longer now, so that you can either go after other survivors or continue to chase the one you found, not to mention it would only take a single hit at that point. With equal speed to other killers, it won't be hard to catch up.

Also, the awesome new End Game changes have been announced, and those look great. I don't think the new Legion is going to be as bad as everyone thinks, and certainly not as problematic as they exist now, according to popular opinion.

  • True, I totally agree that they make a great player excellent. But how can you stop them? I wonder if there would be implemented Rank-specific perks for the different brackets. Perhaps that would solve the problem?

  • Borrowed Time, We'll Make It, Kindred, Pharmacy.

    Shadowborn, Spy Crows, Bloodhound, Stridor

I used to take Rancor instead of Stridor but I got hate mail =(

  • I'd love to show off SuzieQ and not see plug icons pop up.

  • I've seen Freddy's 4k, usually when spectating the match I just lost. He can be powerful depending on perk choice and play style. He's probably the greatest at slowing the game down, it's when he focuses on just one guy that the rest rush gens.

Also Clown is pretty strong at anti-loop, I rarely see people escape him (in my games, not talking about videos online). There are some good choices if you're sick of survivors looping or rushing, it's all about how you play. Remember that chasing one skilled survivor is often a waste of time, as no one else is injured, chased off a gen, or forced to relocate, heal, or whatever else. Spreading out the love is the best way to make them take notice and fear you. Rescuing survivors are not doing gens or totems.
