Game feels way too unbalanced now.

DS (if combine with other perks), MoM (especially this perk), adrenaline, NOED (and this as well), instaheals, and the upcoming huge nerf to legion, some red addons for killers (very few but still). Basically, there are too many perks that fixes anyone mistakes that they deserve but yet it rewards them instead and its starting to lead me away from this games that I really enjoy but now its kinda fading away, I mean thank you devs for the developers update and what you more focus on doing onto the future, but your game is still unbalanced, survivors are starting to have more power over killers especially if it is a Swf.

Hatchets, Phase Walk, Post-Blink and all those shenanigans you list as counters are bugged. They should NOT counter MoM and the devs are fixing it atm.

The lack of sense you are making equals to the amount of periods you used.

  • If you guys want a scenario that I had, last game, I had two people that were on their last hook and the other two on their second hook, and I was chasing one of them that was on their last hook and she was injured, but the last gen pop and she had adrenaline which fixed her mistake of running in the open, I hit her once, then I gain back on her, and on a T wall, she made the mistake of not vaulting and ran into a wall and I hit her but MoM reward her for that mistake, then an ash player came by who was the second one who was on their last hook and came to body block and so I had a free hit, gained on him again and he made a mistake by running straight to the gate but for some reason he turned backwards and ran into me but MoM rewarded him as well and so got no kills and got a black pip.

  • And of course, NOED is a problem of itself, had another game where this killer kept trying to get me the whole game and so when the last gen was popped, he catch up and boom, noed.

  • The reason survivors have such perks is because at the base game killers are far stronger. All a survivor has are pallets and maybe a flashlight but those are almost useless now (at least for saving teammates). One or two helpful perks aren't much of a problem, but realize that as the game goes on and more stuff gets added, people will choose to combine the strongest perks, sometimes with items as well, which makes it very difficult to beat them. Killers have perks, items, and Moris to help them as well, and those who use the good combinations the best end up in the higher ranks, so they face each other.

This may not always be the case, and sometimes you may end up in a rank with other powerful people when you aren't running the best perks, items, or have the most experience, and it might show in the results. Part of the draw of a game like this, or indeed any type of online multiplayer game, is that you never know what's going to happen, or how the match is going to go. All you can hope for is a decent match where people try their best and have a good time, win or lose. =)

*It's worth noting that things are constantly being changed, tweaked, and balanced, so that things remain more or less level and everyone has a fair chance. Who knows what changes will happen in the future?

  • @Coriander

Survivors have these perks, not because they're weaker at base game, but because this game is not balanced around rank 1. Players of a lower skill bracket need the 2nd chances, and better players seeing how good these perks are, will still naturally gravitate towards them.

  • True, I totally agree that they make a great player excellent. But how can you stop them? I wonder if there would be implemented Rank-specific perks for the different brackets. Perhaps that would solve the problem?

  • This is the most balanced the game has ever been. Talk about entitled killer main

Very well put to be honest; and do your second remark about rank specific perks I WOULD LOVE THAT SO MUCH! No DS, MoM, Noed, (insert another killer perk here that urks me and I can't think of) at higher ranks so you are forced to play smarter with your skill set.

  • I would say that perks typically change Survivor and Killer playstyles and can give them more varied gameplay. They can take things to help with their weaknesses and so on. I can understand the concern with so many perks to give both roles second chances. With the change to DS, it's more of a counter to being tunneled in the same way Unbreakable is a counter to being slugged. I wouldn't really consider it a second chance perk anymore. The change to Legion isn't really a nerf, but a rework, too. There are aspects that they've buffed.

I'm not sure if you're new.

survivors are starting to have more power over killers especially if it is a Swf.

Survivors used to be so much stronger. Double pallets, real infinite. I believe there was a time windows didn't even close. Survivors used to be able to lessen their exhaustion as they ran, lending to some survivors being able to pull off multiple sprint bursts or dead hards in one chase. The devs have done a lot to improve the experience for killers.

  • As many people have mentioned, when looked into in a vacuum, these perks are mostly fine. The problem is when you put them all together. DS+MoM+Borrowed Time+Adrenaline etc can be enough to destroy a killer's end game.

I think there should be some degree of restriction with these perks, especially the interactions with MoM. It should not, in my opinion, be allowed to have its effects happen after Adrenaline and DS. Having a second life to lean on is fine imo (especially considering that it only triggers once per match), the problem is when it's a third or fourth life.

  • MoM is a ONE TIME DH. With prerequisites, and a penalty of killer seeing you afterwards. I really for the life of me can't see why people are losing their mind over such a minor perk. Yes if they get it prepped, they could have two DH in one chase - ONCE in the match. It's really not that big of a deal. DH isn't even judged as a strong perk according to most, but this is not even as good as DH. Not to mention that insta downs are not affected by MoM. Some people just want to whine.

  • Insta downs are prevented with DH. So once again MoM<DH. Really, why is this even disputed?

Hatchets are not bugged and if they get nerfed to trigger MoM they should also trigger NOED and any other on hit effects. You really want hatchets nerfed that way I mean feel free but thats on you.

DH is an exhaustion perk, requires timing and skill. can be baited, doesn't give the survivor a sprint burst after the hit, doesn't leave the killer stuck in the post hit cooldown afterwards.

It's most definitely not minor. Besides ignoring a hit, it can essentially stack one exhaustion perk boost after the other, which was patched out ages ago for obvious reasons. Don't downplay it, please.

Also, since it doesn't share in the exhaustion cooldown, it can be used alongside DH, which exacerbates the perk's main problem even further, which is stacking with other safety nets.

@AsheruSwiftwind I was under the impression that Nurse was bugged 'cause hers was technically an M1. M1 is supposed to trigger stacks.

IIRC M1 special hits like blink attacks, Wraith surprise attacks, Spirit's grudge etc were bugged and are meant indeed to count as MoM stacks. M2 attacks such as Huntress' hatchets and Plague's puke aren't.

You are right but huntress hatchets are M2 attacks. They have never triggered NOED, or a number of other effects other than what the killer addons modify the hatchets to do. So people demanding hatchets to trigger MoM would mean hatchets should trigger all effects then and with how good some Bunny Moms are at hatchet tosses do you really want them to trigger NOED?

That's what I was saying @AsheruSwiftwind. I didn't think they'd be included, but I wasn't sure if I was missing something. Also bunny moms are best mom. -w- ๐Ÿ’œ

I don't know where you got the idea that I am a killer main, or even an entitled one at that.
