It's hard enough to get saves with how flashlights work.
-
No Sidney No Buy!
Well, probably buy, but only for a neat killer.
-
To be fair, sniping is cheating, and not an indication that you're better than the streamer even if you beat them. It's also harassment. Say No to Drugs.
-
Here's the problem, DC'ers: The devs know who's doing it. They've stated it's wrong and there are going to be bans. Just because you can DC now doesn't mean you're safe. One day, when you try to log in, you won't get to.
Stick it out and eat the sacrifice. Treat others the way you want to be treated, when you play killer. You want to get points too.
-
I get that survivor sucks in terms of BP gain, especially if there's camping you right out of the match so you end up with nothing, but they're hard enough to come by in a string of generally bad games, so you might as well eat the hook and keep some points instead of no points.
-
That seems a bit... strong.
-
The survivors have cell phones now? Hehe.
-
There's nothing like playing with friends, but in a game like this four solos working it out together is some pretty intense stuff sometimes, and it's great. When they don't leave first down, that is.
-
What would people do if the killer stood in front of the lever?
-
I kind of see your point, but I don't think it's fair to harm the other players by leaving. Say Meyers is running the Scratched Mirror, or Huntress has Iridescent Hatchets. Those are really powerful items that greatly tip the balance of the game into the killer's favor. That's why they're rare, and are used up for only one game. You can't expect to win a game like that, only fight as best you can, but that's also what makes those matches so thrilling.
-
The Entity could block the space after a few passes.
Don't hate me please, just stating a work-around. If Killers leave there's no game. Or is Last Year active? HMM?
-
All killers are viable to some degree, but I think the looping issue needs to be addressed. Pallets are supposed to be drop & leave, but it's more practical from a gameplay standpoint to run around it as much as possible. I think the spaces should be triggered like windows, maybe.
-
Yeah it takes up a slot and most of the time, when I'm standing right next to an injured survivor and take a hit, I don't get a stack. In fact, I only ever see the counter increase on an unhook, which you don't always get to do.
But Chili shows aura, so it has utility and BP, which killers get more of anyway. Survivors need more BP gains, as you can escape a match with around 12k, only enough for 2-3 nodes on the Bloodweb. It's frustrating.

I want to answer this question more thoroughly based on how I feel things happened.
First, Feng is a gamer. Not just a gamer, a competitor. She was so focused on winning and being the best (with the skills to back it up) she gained a reputation and when her career started to flag, it sent her into anxiety. She was desperate to be the best.
A lot of players likely identify with this, but there's also the animation changes. Feng used to stand there in the lobby like everyone else, and I preferred that. A short time later, they gave her an arrogant pose with her arms crossed and an almost-sneer on her face, as if smirking in defiance at the killer's attempts to stop her. I wish she wasn't the opposite of my personality, but oh well, I still love her.
Then there's the traditionally "toxic" outfits that are released. Usually they're very nice outfits with bright, pretty colors, but the higher-skilled players tend to gravitate to these clothes in order to be noticed and, therefore, chased. They want to waste the killer's time all match, proving they're better and that they're going to win. You've seen Fengs and Neas with these wild or gaudy outfits, and it's usually the people who are trying their hardest to not only evade the killer but keep them in chase for as long as possible (not trying to lose the killer).
I don't think it's a Feng problem, I think anyone with such loud cosmetics is bound to feel this way, especially if they seem to go out of their way to chase or track down the killer and taunt them through the match via flashlights, teabags, trap disarms, performing actions in front of the killer, etc. Maybe the cute bunny outfit will let benevolent Fengs show they're not all like that.
-
She's been my main since day 1 of her release. And Bunny! o_o
-
Yes, this is a definite QoL change for people, especially killer.
*Not sarcasm, I really do support this idea.
-
I think they should all get a series of outfits and you can just pretend who each goes with on your own.
Oh, seriously a line of bridal dresses would be awesome.

Frankly I like her tomboyish cosmetics. I like having a more butch girl survivor, and it suits her.
Yeah, I'll give you that. I enjoy variety. It does suit her, to be honest.

My counter is hard camping every obsession. If they only get two hooks, they don’t get MoM 🕺🏿
What if they're Obsession because of your perks? =P
-
From Head Case? I only have that on one platform, not the one I'm currently on. The YTer Tithi has a graphic of Meg with two long, heavy braids over her hears (instead of behind like most people do) that I love, I wish we'd get that.
-
It's 2min now.
-
@Cymer Those are great designs! I support those changes. I also agree that Legion should be rewarded by chasing separate survivors, although insta-down seems kinda strong. A really short timer on the fourth might be okay, since they had to work for it (unless everyone was clustered, in which case it's their own fault).
Also, Bloodpoints can be a strong incentive, since we all want more of those. Well, most of us. Just adding in some significant bonuses for hitting someone else might stop the tunneling, or at least make some killers happy. Everyone likes Bloodpoints.
Another idea is that successive survivors hit could charge up some power, and then on next use it becomes stronger. L's Frenzy could increase from the blood they've already taken and they run faster, or it lasts longer, or whatever. You'd be incentivized to seek out all the different survivors you could to make yourself stronger.
-
With non-licensed stuff, you can earn it all by playing the game, so all their in-house creations are free. Granted you still have to pay if you want a perk like Pharmacy but it's a small price, and that's what we have Shrine for. So you don't even have to buy that stuff.
I'm not turning down free stuff, I'll take any content they give us for free, but the Shards aren't useless either. Plus there's cosmetics.
-
I see both sides of this. In my belief, though this is a multiplayer game it and should be relatively fair, as a horror game the survivors should have to eke out an escape under duress. Now, from a gameplay perspective this sounds horrible, and might very well be, but picture kind of like Last Year where there's one tunnel to escape and everyone's clustered there at the end trying to get out with the killer right there on their heels. Maybe not everyone makes it.
This game has some additions as well, such as Meyers who can just grab and kill you at the end, or Moris, or Blood Warden, or a few other stuff that can halt the success you think you're making, but at the same time this EGC wasn't designed to stamp out survivors (although, it could be thrilling if that's what it changed to. I'd be psyched for a tense ending like that!) it was created to stop survivors stalling the end when they had already won, which was really unfair for the killer, who just wanted to move onto the next game already.
My opinion playing this game was always that survivors shouldn't escape as often as they do, it should be closer to facing a real supernatural killer who can't be stopped. You'd have tense, exciting matches, and every time you load in you think "Maybe this will be the game I escape!" and after you get a lot better, you might escape once or twice per day. Do people in slasher movies escape all the time? Usually, it's just one or two lucky people that got hurt but squeezed through an opening and won, right? This might not really be fair or enjoyable from a gaming experience, since both teams want to win and have a fair chance all throughout, but then that really isn't a horror experience, is it?
*Playing without all the strong survivor perks can be tense, too!
-
Legion's in a better spot now, just watch the dev stream. Or do you want to see constant disconnects when you start a match? The devs make changes based on feedback.
-
I like Meg and her cosmetics. She needs some new hairstyles, if you ask me. I think they took her sporty persona a little too far and it's all super-short tomboyish stuff. Give her long braids.
-
@BigBlackMori I don't think I deserve to be blasted like that, especially since I'm looking out for my team. It's a team game. No one could escape by themselves, and in a cooperative situation I want to be cooperative. On top of that, this is a casual-style game as it is. You want to kill people, and I want to save them. So what? You think people like me, wanting to save as many as possible, are ruining the game? You clearly don't understand how online games work. The killer's job is easy enough, and I'm already forced to use a perk slot for Borrowed Time, a perk that only works when the killer is camping.
It might help you if everyone just cares for themselves, but that's not what society is about. The desire to help others out of a bad situation is quite strong and I personally know how it feels to hang there on a hook at the end, so close to escape, and wishing someone would come save me. That makes me bad? That's what kills this game? No, not even close. Players like me are giving others hope, when they become frustrated. I'm shocked that my desire to help a teammate is making you so upset. I suggest playing survivor a bit and seeing if things aren't occasionally bad on the other side, so you know what survivors have to go through.
If people like me, people who love this game and want it to do well, people who treat others fairly and try to help as many as we can, are truly killing this or any game, then that game deserves to die. I don't know what you were raised to believe but I was taught to be kind to others and lend a hand when you're able.
-
I really hate that as well. There's zero chance for a save or escape when they just block the stairs so you can't even physically get down there. At least a normal hook can be rescued from on the side or something.
-
I only want to discuss the issue of people hanging around inside the gate. The reason people do this (at least, up until now) was for two reasons: to see if anyone else needed help, and to 'say goodbye' to the killer. It was a good game, take care, have a free hit as I leave for some points, etc. If I know everyone is safe, I go right out (I don't want to lose my item to Franklins).
I hope people still behave this way in the future. Sometimes, when I get saved from a hook at the end, I have no idea where the exits are. I run away and hide so I don't get killed right away, then look for a safe exit. If I might need another rescue, or a heal, or a bodyblock, I hope there are still people around to support me. It's the sign of a good teammate, a good player, and a good person. It's why I sit inside exits many times, only to run in and die so someone else can live. That's a win to me, it's why I play the game.
I don't think people should teabag, however, especially if it was an easy game. It was likely since the killer didn't camp, tunnel, and played very fairly in regards to chasing healthy people over recent hooks. You had a good game, don't gloat over it and just leave in peace. I know during the game some people do it just to irritate the killer so they'll remain the chase focus, and that's... a strategy, I guess? But at the end when you've won, just bow and leave respectfully. Imagine that player who didn't get any kills, but still tried and doesn't want to see people adding insult to injury.
-
Yeah, would twin healers both get stacks? That would be neat. You'd actually get a heal now. It's too rare to see that sweet, sweet We'll Make It icon pop up after you get saved. Ohhh yeah, that's the good stuff...
-
I'd like any change that prevents people from farming me just for BP stacks.

I’m currently questioning the Wraith nerf. I wouldn’t be happy if all killer got nerfed although I see the reasoning for changing pigs trap thanks to the collapse but I’m questioning the giving her a TR while crouched.
I also understand legions change and I’m sure they’ll buff him before he hits live. I play both sides but survivor more.
What now while crouched? O_o
-
It really is the people, not the Claudette. I wear the white jacket so people don't dodge the lobby.
Also, "That's racist," said in Jeremy's voice.
-
Sidney?
-
I really hope they don't add in intense skillchecks of that high caliber when we're desperately trying to escape a killer. I can't hit those checks even on generators.
-
I think it'd be neat as well. He doesn't have to spout one-liners or anything, just grant his likeness into the game. Would he have the sword on his back?
-
Yeah, I second that. I'd buy new kills for my favorite killers, or those that are particularly neat, but if nothing else the original three need some love. Compare Doctor's to Wraith's.
-
I'm someone who goes down in ten seconds. I'm Rank 8 currently because I do gens, I make saves, I cleanse totems, and aside from losing the killer only once in a while to a lucky mindgame I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing. That's why headless chickens like me end up in the purple ranks. It's not because I run the killer around for an hour, it's because in every other aspect, I'm useful.
I'm real sorry I'm not as good as the rest of the people at my rank, but I'm trying. I really practice looking where I'll go if the killer comes, checking which pallets are still available, and seeing which windows the map has blocked off or left open. It seems like the tactics I see in videos simply don't work in my version of the game, and the killers catch up all the time so easily. I always look behind when vaulting or check for the red light, but I'm hoping some of my issues will be fixed with dedicated servers. Otherwise, I'll keep practicing, and as long as everyone else gets out I'm happy.
-
Our microwave died yesterday =( we can't make popcorn or burritos.
-
She can still... hit people, right?
-
That scenario is not an issue. The Collapse is meant to keep the game from lingering when one or both sides want it to be over to move onto the next match. The last guy isn't always a potato who doesn't deserve an escape. In that situation alone, you're suggesting 3 other survivors have been sacrificed. Why would anyone be mad the last guy might escape? It's thrilling from a gameplay point of view where everyone else is dead, and it's just you and the unstoppable killer, and just maybe you'll squeeze out and live. It still isn't a win, it's a neutral failure that gave you a few more points than usual.
I die occasionally as the 4th (just today, in fact) when it was my first hook. I'm the only one completing gens through Ruin and making a few saves as well. I'm terrible at chases, which is why I have to slip away from the heartbeat, but other than that I'm working hard to make sure everyone else leaves and I don't even take exhaustion perks. Sometimes, a little bonus in a game you might or might not have earned is a neat little gift and you'll take them where you can get them.
-
Borrowed Time. It's the only perk I'll always use, no matter what.
-
I don't like Michael, because his kit seems far too easy to use and abuse. You play stealthy all match only to get hit with an insta-T3 down the moment he spots you. He didn't charge up on me, why should he get that hit? Anyway, I like fighting the Pig, because the trap concept is really cool provided she doesn't tunnel while you're trying to get it off. Part of the thrill is running around with a lethal device hooked into your mouth, you just want to get it off (and sometimes it's fun to die too). But if she just chases you all over there's no point in the trap, is there?
-
I run default Ash occasionally, and I'm below mediocre. My strongest perk is Tenacity.
-
NOED is still an obstacle if you wish to rescue a teammate.
And you do want to rescue a teammate, don't you?
-
It's still a test, changes can be made before it goes live. Also, this was to make things better in the meantime. They can add in changes later on so that Legion is in a better state. Also, Pig.
-
This is the game, let's just enjoy it for what it is and see what the future brings. You can still chase survivors and sacrifice them, they're not removing the ability to do that. And if they stick around too long, they get killed anyway. So yay!
