  • Any increase to skill check frequencies is another nail in poor Sharp Hand Joe's coffin. I agree Autodidact is a weak perk currently but I'm not sure skill check frequency is the route to take

What if there are two gens left close to each other? You can't really run away if he's coming.
Should always be 3 left. If you find you get stuck with 3 gens close regularly, try spacing out gens when working on them. Don't do all gens on one side of the map. Any map with a central area that has a Gen in it you wanna get early too. It's usually an easy one for a killer to lock down lategame

As for actually facing Meyers, don't try to play pallet games with him too much. I can't count how many times I've gotten to tier 3 because a survivor just stands next to a pallet waiting to drop it on me
  • I've tried using her on PS4 a lot and always struggle with frame rate. Hitting someone with the first blink is easy but then the framerate drops and suddenly the survivor snd their scratches are nowhere to be seen. Not being able to whip around quickly on controller also makes it tough.
  • I stockpiled about 10, used em all last night and got a total of 26 disconnects so it got me thinking
  • Even his base kit is weak. I think he needs a full rework, not just a buff. But yeah chili needs to be fixed too (but iirc it's needed fixing since his release)
  • Ruin+Thrill are a fun combo with her. Aside from perks tho she has a lot of fun potential. You can fake people out with pallets and windows by using your power and immediately letting go and just staying still. Lot of times they'll climb over and give you a free grab/hit. Phasing ahead of people and cutting them off can be useful for routing them away from places you don't want them to go.

I agree that a survivor DC should give a killer the equivalent of a hook+sacrifice
As a killer main I completely agree not to mention you took the words out of my mouth. Though every time a salty killer rage quits I get nothing and that pisses me off.

"I didn't wait 5 minutes for a match and play survivor of all things. just to have a salty ######### quit after 5-10 minutes and wouldn't you know I have nothing to show for it."

Maybe if the killer DCs it should give survivors a flat 10k if it's immediately, or 5k+whatever else they earned during that match after a minute in to the game. + A safety pip at least.
  • Oh this is beautiful. I assume it would apply to killers too.
  • If you're tired of body blocking start slugging. Be equally as frustrating. If all 3 aren't on gens and are more interested in healing the person on the ground you can even force a bleed out. Not the most sportsmanlike tactic but neither is bodyblocking.
  • Survivor is definitely easier with controller cause its way easier to 360 around a killer. Killer with controller is a pain though. Makes Billy hard to use and Nurse close to impossible.
  • I mean you CAN but you're hurting yourself and your teammates more than anything. Plus it balances out by only requiring 4 gens be completed. Yeah you're at a bit more of a disadvantage but it's not a direct loss. Besides DCing and lobby dodging aren't the same thing at all.
  • I love when a survivor keeps working on a Gen in front of me to finish it, I pluck them off, hook them immediately next to it, then Pop Goes the Weasel on the Gen.
  • Leatherface I think needs a second ability. As it stands his chainsaw is extremely weak. As for Doctor I think his add-ons are actually really good currently (could use a second ultra rare). If anything I'd combine Treatment mode and punishment mode so he has time to hit after a shock or react to a survivors actions and shock them in time. Switching between them feels clunky and slow and makes him loose all momentum.
  • I like running M&A on most killers. If I'm using weaker killers like Trapper or Freddy I like running NOED. Otherwise it's M&A, Nurses Calling, Overcharge and MYC
  • I agree that a survivor DC should give a killer the equivalent of a hook+sacrifice
  • So this isn't actually about the Wraith at all. It's just campers doing what they do. Not really much they can do about that though. There is a penalty to just standing there, it's called they only get one kill.
  • Boosting survivor speed could be bad, but maybe if she recovered from exhaustion faster instead.

Yes survivors are the only ones to blame and all killers are saints.

You can whine about it all you want, the root of the issue is the lack of a SWF queue. Everything else stems from that.

  • @Eveline said:
Why am I dodged then? I am always solo. Oh yeah because the killer suspects I may be an swf. Do you realise how ridiculous this is?

And I agree its ridiculous. But the blame isnt entirely on the killers doing the dodging, or the swf's theyre trying to dodge. Like someone said already, there should be a seperate queue for swf groups.

I want it to be viable. Give it 100% noise reduction. (Yes devs, I’m aware no mither quiets noises in dying too.... but that’s not useful at 50%). Give it built in tenacity (WILL NOT STACK) and 20% recovery speed boost (can stack). Also remove injured music.... SERIOUSLY!

I'm not sure what truth there is to it but I recall hearing that the music is more of a bug that they cant figure out how to get rid of.

  • I get that its annoying, but I'm playing this game to have fun and if that means dodging 4 man SWF groups that really break the balance of this game, then I'm gonna do just that. At the end of the day I'm playing to have fun myself.

  • And people act like neither is ever an actual tactic. Camping usually does more harm than good but occasionally it's useful. Tunneling is useful for getting someone out early. You're not wasting time standing around waiting like camping and you're also not wasting time getting looped by a healthy survivor.
  • Meyers main, I prefer playing stealthy. M&A +Whispers for early game sneak grabs, Nurses Calling and Ruin though I swap them out frequently. I try to save my EW useage til mid-late game. Maybe not the most effective strategy but it's one I have a lot of fun with
  • Devisive Strike boils my blood cause it feels very unfair and has a direct, immediate impact on the killer, but Self Care is definitely more crutch, enough so that it's just basic assumption that everyone I'm facing runs it.
  • The obsession knows they're the obsession, and Rancor already let's them know it's there because they see the killer when gens pop. I admit it's not the best perk but I don't think it's because of the surprise aspect

Or... At each prestige, why don't we get the personal perks at the respective levels? That would be reasonable wouldn't you think?
That actually makes a lot of sense
  • Survivor Perk: Push Your Limits
When in the dying state, you can use a secondary button to recover 150% faster/300% faster/Instsntly once per trial. Doing so puts you in the Broken condition for the remainder of the trial.
  • Killer Perk: Pain Train
After successfully hitting a survivor you move at 50%/75%/100% your normal movement speed while cleaning your weapon.
  • I haven't heard anything on it, but I'm holding out hope that we get new cosmetics for Michael and Laurie since the timing lines up well with the new Halloween movie. Though I know its unlikely
  • Rancor FEELS unfair and broken to the survivor singled out by it, and while that sucks for them, and I like the concept, it's not a particularly useful perk. Not to mention any smart survivor can maneuver around it without too much issue.
  • There's lots of perks besides deerstalker that help with this too. Whispers and Stridor are both good perks that also help with locating survivors who have been slugged. Bloodhound and/or sloppy butcher can make it easier to find them too. Someone already recommended BBQ&Chilli. On top of that, take note of where you drop them (which goes without saying anyway).

Oh I also generally dodge SWF groups. Sucks for them but I dont care to deal with that kinda #########.

Why? It's more of a challenge. More fun. Besides, many swf groups are not a**holes.

Enough are that its not fun to play against them. I'm not gonna play a game if I'm unable to enjoy it

  • Oh I also generally dodge SWF groups. Sucks for them but I dont care to deal with that kinda #########.

  • I've always felt that self healing should be nerfed and built into survivors base abilities. 25% heal speed without SC. SC could then increase that to 50/75/100% healing speed. The fact that it feels like such a necessity makes it feel like survivors only have 3 perks to use, because there's really nothing worth using in it's place
  • She's a killer who rewards players who have the necessary skill to use her. There's definitely killers who need to be buffed but not to a point of being on her level
  • 1: If half the survivors disconnect I'm not sparing the others. I'm playing to actually have good games, and if the fastest way of moving on to the next round is bodying the others mercilessly, so be it.
2: If I find you helplessly lost when the hatch is open I'll bring you there because I've already won. If you're still actively looking for it/running to it, I'm hunting you down cause the game isn't over yet.
3: If you get downed because you just had to break my hex right in front of me, I'll make sure you die for it.
4: if you're playing alongside a swf that you're clearly not part of, I'll go a bit easier on you
5: Flashlights are the first to die
