I'll never understand the obsession people have with Feng Min

So you basically want to have killers be forced to run any of the exposed perks such as NOED to counter MoM? A perk that is just way to effective at extending the chases if you lack the perks? Some of mentioned perks are locked behind DLC you have to buy or wait for the shrine to get?
How is that fair? Please Do explain your point of view on MoM is not so bad.
If one hit changes the tide of the game that much, you were doing poorly already. The big perk I recommend is Sloppy Butcher to extend healing time and effectively remove any extra time MoM got. If you find it's making chases THAT much longer, either learn when to break chase and tend to generators, or run perks to help in chases such as Enduring or Brutal Strength. And yeah, worst case scenario, try NOED.

@ClogWench play wraith for a hundred games and then come back to me and say mettle of man isnt an issue
How does Wraith suffer any more than say Spirit or Hag? Like I said, use perks that counteract it's benefits.

Bullshit. Ive already lost at least a hundred kills i would have gotten in the end game because of it.
If you've lost 100 kills to mettle of man then I'm afraid to say you might just suck at killer my dude. Try Sloppy Butcher or NOED if you're struggling to get kills.
-
@behavior give me the Meg/Claudette relationship cosmetics like you did for Wraith and Nurse
-
I get that MoM is annoying but it's really not that bad. It very rarely makes a difference between in the end.

Medkit. Insta heal. Botany. Multiple people healing.
Instaheal is a very rare/ultra rare single use item. Not a consistent enough occurence to count. Medkit is still slowed down. Several people healing means at least 3 people not working on gens. In the end, sloppy butcher still helps slow down the trial, effectively countering the impact that MoM has.
-
@DuckApproved said:
So by a lot of peoples logic in the comments "Its a risk" by that logic you could purchase some of the cosmetic currency, maybe hold onto it for a little until you see a cosmetic you like. Then the devs hotfix your currency making it work only .1 of what it was formerly worth, while keeping the same prices for the cosmetics. You would be ######### livid. This same logic applies to Legion. Please think before you spout idiotic nonsense.
Except that's not the case. He's still as advertised and he's still useable. He just isn't as abuseable as before.
-
You're not entitled to free DLC. And it's not expensive anyway.

Mention the counterplay as wraith for example. Besides camping and mori.
Sloppy Butcher. The survivor has to take several hits to get that one free hit, so they need to heal a lot. Sloppy Butcher makes that take longer.

I like Meg and her cosmetics. She needs some new hairstyles, if you ask me. I think they took her sporty persona a little too far and it's all super-short tomboyish stuff. Give her long braids.
Frankly I like her tomboyish cosmetics. I like having a more butch girl survivor, and it suits her.

Dont worry. I know how you feel, but take my advice: stop play this game, and make you sure to NEVER BUY ANYTHING OF BHVR IN THE FUTURE. Since almost a week, i stop playing this and i feel bad for the money i spend on his game, but this is a good reason for never trust in devs without proper criterion.
Let the fanboys still say "oh, wow! Your are the best, thank you and bring more cosmetics and still (bad word) killers, we need balance because we not know how to play"
That kids make me sick.
Dude you outright agree to it when you accepted user agreements for the game.

It is. Run Agitation and IG. Run the Territory perk. Hook anyone in there. At least one Kill. Hide nearby, maybe run Insidious if you're low mobility. Wait for another to go in. Walk and stand in stairs. You're done. People will do it. Hiding in a corner for 10 minutes after the gates are opened isn't point gathering or interesting. But people still do it.
If something was this broken dumb on the Survivor side, I'm sure it would of been changed by now. Unless you basement camp, this change wouldn't hurt you AT ALL.
If you dedicate a full build to it its not free
-
@VexTheHex said:
Quoting is all messed up now, so I can'y quote.
@Orion The Basment shouldn't be free kills though. It can be dangerous and still would be. You shouldn't expect free kills just cause you hook or find someone there.
@incirion You really need to get better at Killer. You already told me the whole reason you're against this is cause it hurts you camping people in the basement cause of BT. Don't rely on basement camping and your skills will improve.
@Slayer More exploitable than a camo Claud UE in a corner with the gates open.
The basement isn't free kills though. It's kills you're a) getting by capitalizing on a survivor going close to/into the most dangerous area of a map and b) if you're bodyblocking someone in there all game you're getting no points, no Emblems, and no other kills.
-
@VexTheHex said:

It's still a one way in and out. Trapper, Leatherface, Myers, Huntress, Billy, and Hag would all still be highly dangerous there with OHKO's, Traps, and Hatchet/M1 in the narrow passage. It's not safe, it just wouldn't allow people to grief.
Not many Survivors hid in a corner of the map to troll the Killer. Not many Killers body block the stairs for long periods of time. But if one got fixed, the other should as well.
Dude I get survivors hiding in the corner to prolong a game all the time. The reason why they added the endgame collapse was because survivors doing that wasn't TECHNICALLY holding the game hostage. Not in a way that was bannable.
-
@VexTheHex said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/443116#Comment_443116
But it's still wrong and horrible game play. All trolls have to do is run the basement aura perk and there is one free salty kill right there. Catch two in there trying for a rescue and you just killed half the team.
Not much different from being insidious camped by leatherface really.
-
Yeah it's not a hostage situation during the endgame. Just a slow execution.
-
This is a needed change
-
They have to give people more time to buy ash for his perk before they consider touching it.
-
I like him now actually. This feels a lot more like what he should have been at launch.
-
Lot of people dont adjust their perks when bringing a Mori. Bringing Noed doesn't hurt either.
-
No, I think it's a kneejerk reaction nerf out of fear that it could make Pig a stronger killer but it wouldn't have been that bad. Instead she loses all endgame leverage and is forced to try and win before endgame when she becomes a basic M1 killer.
-
Frankly I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. Like someone pointed out, there's a Scream game in development and it could be related to that.
-
@Plu said:
It destroyed end game pig yeah, and almost makes Monitor mandatory on her because of her huge 32 TR imo.
I forgot they nerfed her with that previously. Honestly I hope she gets at least a compensation buff before it goes live
-
It's not that it ruins her, it's just nonsensical. This whole update is pointless though.
-
Can't wait to play as the black clad, knife wielding, mask wearing killer...oh wait.
-
Just close it before downing them. If they're in sight of you when you're at the hatch, you should be able to close it and then chase them
-
@Tru3Lemon said:
Pig got nerfed but its balanced ive seen alot of pigs in the ptb with blood warden her change its ok ppl just want to be toxic to the survivor in the endgame
I imagine either a) they're people who don't realize she got nerfed, or b) you're just blatantly lying.
She's not ruined, but there's certainly no point in running an endgame build with her.

You have noed devour hope hunted ground rancor camping until struggle mori insta down addons hatchets billy chainsaw piggy ambush attack plague using vomit until broken status or her other power(cant remember) and as a spirit main its ez make struggle the guy or have perks insta downs rancor its good
NOED: requires waiting til endgame, only works on healthy survivors
Haunted Ground: brief window, requires a survivor to break it, usually doesn't snowball too much
Devour Hope: already hard enough to get the 3 hooks for this without it breaking
Rancor: see NOED, only works on one
Camping: obvious bad strategy already, worse than letting the perk proc
Mori: inconsistent, not something you'll usually have
Instadown add-ons: killer dependant
Billy: killer dependant
Pig ambush: killer dependant
Plague: killer dependant
There's no solid counter, only situational ones that a majority of players can't consistently use.

It helps the last survivor in scenarios, in which the killer is guarding the hatch instead of closing it. But that's it.
Makes sense. Still never gonna be worth a perk slot

What's even the purpose of Left Behind anymore? I know it wasn't great but now it's outright useless
-
@MysticalMagic92 said:
@ClogWench Well, the EGC is meant to push survivors out faster. So, it's doing its job. Devs are sending real mixed messages here, they don't want the game to end too quickly or everybody depips. They also want survivors out faster. But I get the point, nobody likes a troll who hides out in the endgame. So, it's worth it.
I understand it's purpose but the fact that it came with a direct buff to survivors in the endgame with no REAL consequences. It's going to be extremely rare that someone will die from the collapse, and it gives survivors more than enough time(even encouraging them to stay)

I'm saying this as someone who can't play the PTB, so all I have to go on is just my thoughts, but I think she lost nearly all of her Endgame potential. Her Ambush is not helpful during the Endgame, and with her Traps being neutered, she's basically stuck as an M1 killer with effectively no power during the Endgame. I think that's probably when she was at her best (and she wasn't really great otherwise), so I think it does hurt her significantly.
I'm aware of all that. I'm trying to say that she wasn't exclusively endgame oriented. Her abilities are solid at stopping the endgame from coming. Yeah this patch was an unnecessary nerf to her, and I think she should get some form of compensation buff at least, but I think it's a bit of an overreaction to say she's the worst now.
-
Doctor I feel could be consistently good if they tweaked his shock to be more consistent cause right now it has a long delay between activation, the shock animation, and the survivor being affected by it, and it really hinders his chase potential.
-
@Acesthetiic said:

Her RBTs are so restricted now that it will really hurt the play style of her. End game is no longer existent and the terror radius hurts her tracking and slowing the game down. Her crouching is already abysmal. Legion and pig are the same killers essentially with their abilities to slow the game down. Pig just has a bit more potential because of RNG, so I agree @ClogWench.
See the difference is that she puts on a lot more time pressure than Legion does, while also having a stealth ability that can really help shorten chases if used well. She's also not so drastically punished for using her power. I agree she lost a lot of endgame potential but I don't think it hurts her quite as much as people are acting.

@ClogWench I was assuming the Doctor is skilled enough to know the precise timing to shut down loops. It's a thing with Doctor, when I used to main him I used to shut down loops quickly myself. It's a viable thing with him, just far too difficult to perform.
The problem doctor has is that a skilled survivor outplays him every time. You can predict his shocks and take advantage of that by not putting yourself in a position where they'll affect you too badly. A skilled doctor can outplay the average survivor but a skilled survivor will always be able to outplay a skilled doctor. Beyond that his power needs very specific situations to immediately end chases and if not he just gets ran for a while. He's good at tracking making him strong in the early ranks but he has 0 pressure in red ranks (honestly I'd consider him one of the worst killers. Fun but not strong)
-
All the more reason to bring an Ivory Mori every time I see Ash...

@TheShape78 said:
For what it's worth, the Enduring perk might help reduce the longer stuns.
I don't think enduring affects fatigue stuns like Legion and Nurse
-
I don't think pig is useless but she certainly didn't get any upper hand here. I'd say Legion though. They could have made him balanced but frankly they went overboard with the nerfs (and gave very little to compensate)

Not how this works. Nobody is getting a refund. Like Orion said, no one is denying someone's rights for a refund, they just aren't getting one.
I'll say it once more, Adapt.
Adapt in what way dude? If someone pays for a product and then that product is changed far beyond what they wanted when buying it, why should they adapt? For that matter, how do you expect people to adapt in general? They did fully gut this killer out. He was already weak to begin with. The only way you adapt to that is just playing someone else.
-
When they first announced the changes I was open to it but seeing the numbers now I honestly don't blame anyone for wanting a refund of any kind. They went way over the top with nerfs. I know people wanted Freddy to not be the worst but not like this...
-
Can't take a list that has B tier Doctor seriously. Agree about Legion and Pig though. Didn't realize just how thoroughly they'd be tearing Legion apart.
-
Endgame collapse only benefits survivors overall.
-
This endgame collapse only just makes things better for survivor and harder for killer lmao. Also RIP pig.
-
Maybe I'm spoiled by Overwatch having frequent patches to fix bugs and exploits asap but I honestly think DbD should update balance when necessary, not every 3 months or so.
-
I wouldn't get my hopes up really.
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
What if it turns out there isn't?
I can't confirm only Peanits or Queen can but it's definitely looking like that's the case.
Other than bug fixes of course.
We know some perks/pig are being changed in some way due to end game
Every Mid patch has rebalances that hadn't been previously announced. Considering everything the new endgame changes, it's only natural that there's gonna be a bunch of changes to various perks. So yeah I'd say you can bet on it.
-
Entirely possible. Small buffs and nerfs to perks and abilities
