He already had so many things going for him that the bait was just unnecessary. Also his counterplay is a different topic it’s not really to do with his strengths or whatever. I don’t care if you invent a nurse type killer as long as you can have fun and counter them like you can with nurse

Actually technically the Nurse has less counter than any other killer. You put a safe pallet between you and spirit, thats a counter. You put an obstacle between you and deathslinger, thats a counter.

With Nurse you're hoping on the killer missing. That's it. Yes she's easier to make her miss attacks than other killers which is why there is less complaints but technically she has no counter other than wiggling around and backtracking and hoping the killer misses or loses sight of you.

  • But then why this?

    People of the Fog,

Decisive Strike is one of Laurie Strode’s unique perks, which was released with Chapter II: HALLOWEEN in October of 2016. We introduced Decisive Strike as a perk option to help give Survivors a second wind, and an opportunity to escape their inevitable demise.

Over the course of the last few years, Decisive Strike has been a point of contention amongst our community, and as a result, the perk has had an interesting journey since its inception.

Decisive Strike has gone through some minor changes to arrive at its current state. Additionally, we have also prototyped entire reworks of the perk, some that we previously spoke of with the community. Ultimately, most of these ideas were shelved as we felt that they did not retain the essence of the perk, nor did they provide an overall improvement to the current version.

    Identifying Community Frustrations

To find a solution through which Decisive Strike would be valuable to our gameplay, we had to better understand our players’ irritations towards the perk. Here is a summary of our findings:

    • Up to four Decisive Strikes in a match: This perk can take a lot of the Killer’s time and completely break their momentum. In combination with other frustrations, this often comes back as a point of resentment for most Killers who face a Survivor team with Decisive Strike.
    • Risk/Reward: Not much of a downside using the perk, yet a huge advantage when used successfully.
    • Dribbling: This is when the Killer intermittently drops a Survivor to avoid the Decisive Strike trigger.
    • Obsessions: With only a handful of Survivor obsession perks available, it was often clear when at least one Survivor was running Decisive Strike. Killers would tend to actively avoid the obsession, or alternatively tunnel the obsession, forcing them to burn the perk early in the match.

The New and Improved Decisive Strike

For the new iteration of Decisive Strike, we have introduced certain conditions and outcomes for using the perk, while retaining the core concept of providing a second chance at survival for those who successfully use it.

The trade-off for using Decisive Strike comes at the risk of suddenly becoming the Killer’s latest obsession. The concept of changing the obsession while a match is in progress is something completely new to Dead by Daylight and is sure to create some interesting situations when combined with other obsession perks.

    • Perk starts inactive: No longer usable from the start of the match on a first down.
    • New condition: In a trial, any Survivor that has the perk equipped can activate and use Decisive Strike if they meet the condition - being saved from a hook or unhooking themselves.
    • Decisive Strike will only stay active for 40/50/60 seconds after being unhooked. This window of opportunity (gag) gives the Survivor only a limited time frame in which to trigger the perk after escaping the hook.
    • Decisive Strike skill checks will trigger during the pickup. This decision was made to help avoid dribbling and reduce the amount of time wasted for the Killer.
    • The skill check area will be slightly larger to make it considerably more accessible to those who occasionally struggle with hitting skill checks.
    • Stunning the Killer with Decisive Strike will result in the Killer dropping the Survivor.
    • After successfully using Decisive Strike, you will immediately become the obsession. This will remove the obsession from any other player, and any perks that refer to the obsession will now refer to you.

We believe these changes should help enrich the player experience for both Killers and Survivors. We’re excited to get your feedback regarding our new and improved Decisive Strike perk.

These changes will be implemented in the next update.

    See you in the Fog.

The Dead by Daylight Game Design Team

    ds1.jpg ds2.jpg

And look at the rest of the questions, where the developers says they tried to mitigate how much of the killers momentum it would take away, where they say it servers a similar purpose to borrowed time (anti-tunnel), and other questions.

The entire article there makes it sound anti-tunnel.

You shouldn’t be comparing pyramids attack to huntresses though. You wanna know why? Pyramid head has a smaller terrors radius, has another whole ability and is 115% movement speed. Could u imagine if his power was as strong as huntress but he kept these additional benefits which huntres doesn’t have? Just because a killer is missing a few things doesn’t automatically mean they are bad or worse than another killer. Why don’t you look at some of the things his power alone has over huntress: Ability to shoot through walls, ability to move faster than survivors when charging it and a slightly larger collision box.

But its the survivors that compare him to Huntress when talking about his ability to cancel a ranged attack and go for an M1.

Yes it is apples to oranges though

  • I can't wait until Legion with thana/dying becomes the new meta and all the complaining starts. Popcorn at the ready.

edit: oh wait don't forget ruin/undying too.

    yep.

The actual fix was to make ROJ faster to cast but then survivors would cry.

Hence my point about them only listening to feedback from one side. People that played PH asked for minor POTD improvements but all of those got ignored, which shows that these changes are being done specifically to make him more fun for survivor, which means it's going to be a net nerf.

If the delay is long enough PH will end up being like wraith where you have to bodyblock a window so a survivor can't quickly juke through it, yay sounds fun.

  • I've been working shifts. I can tell you that the early hours of the morning are the worst time to play this game. It's like the only people still up are the sweatlords with 6k hours per survivor, an OoO and coldwind/ormond offering in every game.

god i hate this "survivor main bad" mindset like at least hear him out, and no demo doesnt need changing, phead will likely recieve some compensation, no one is asking for nurse to be nerfed, deathslinger is going to be changed to tone down his opressiveness with a buff to mobility.

you act like survivors only want easy games and to win all the time when in reality they want to fun games in which they feel that they outplay the killer or the killer outplays them

all your doing by bringing on these comments is just dividing the community because your so arrogant that you dont see the flaws in the killer role and want to win every single game

Pot kettle black. The whole idea of this thread is moaning that DS may get nerfed because it's being abused pretty hard right now. Yes killers should be fun for both sides but all you hear is nerf spirit/pyramid/deathslinger, and very few calls for work to be done to make other killers more fun. Some maps are still pretty bad and with exhaustion perks thrown in chases can become very benny hill like, thats the point really when a killer comes along who has equal power or control in chase they need to be nerfed into the ground because people can't accept a new direction for the game and want it the same as the old days where it's the 4 and not the 1 that have the control in chases. These killers aren't very fun to play hence the meta we see today.

The context isn't relevant when your claim is that they only listen to survivors.

"only one sides feedback is being implemented."

Implemented.....as in being implemented in the case of the PH changes.

Stop trying to make it something it's not.

  • @SunderMun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1646942#Comment_1646942

Yes, that's exactly why they removed infinites and reworked entire maps, even making some of them SMALLER in order to make it easier for killers to actually apply map pressure. Yep, only survivors being listened to, 100%.

We're talking about feedback on PyramidHead. Context SunderMun, context.

  • You say they listen to feedback but only one sides feedback is being implemented. There is plenty on the survivor side that makes the low tier killers not fun to play, exhaustion perks and bad map design for example leading to long chases that take no skill on the survivor side.

When I quoted Otz I was referring to the part about PH disappearing. He thinks that might happen. Also yeah A tier is strong but not super oppressive.

  • @notstarboard

"Pyramid head is not getting nerfed. They have explicitly said this is not intended to be a nerf. He's in theory just going to be more fun for both sides."

We call this "spin". They say it's not a nerf and it's more fun for both sides yet with 3 months of feedback they've listened to survivor feedback and not killer feedback. It's 100% intended to be more fun for survivors, hence why overrall it's going to be a nerf.

  • @crixus006 said:

I don't understand why he needs a nerf he was neither strong nor weak he was an average killer and with this he will simply become a killer trash and we will stop seeing him in games, as a demogorgon, clown ...

That's what Otz thinks too. PH is already rare and will disappear. I'm already ditching him because I can tell how this will go. He wasn't even that strong as you say.

Alternative is people are theorizing that hes just going to spam his m2 now at loops over and over again and survivors will have something new to complain about.

  • @lreyna said:

Nah, this will weed out the poor PH killer mains. This whole post seems like it came from a killer perpetually stuck in white/green ranks.

and yet nothing has to be done to weed out the weak survivor mains. Can't last in a chase? bring sprint burst/dead hard for free time, abuse badly designed areas of maps. No awareness? bring spine chill. Not very good at the game? just have your swf carry you then join in at the tbagging at the exit.

You really do be looking for any and every excuse to prove your point. Clicky you need to calm down bro.

You run OoO in a swf, click your flashlight at the killer and think DS should be anti-momentum. This is exactly what all the killer mains think of here when they see people asking for killer nerfs but in your case that's actually how you play lol.

Do you actually play killer a lot? I'm curious. If so which ones do you play?

  • @Grimmy_Bluues said:

I main PH and I believe the nerf is a good thing.

But I gotta say, unless the recovery after firing his ranged attack is reduced by like 2 seconds, he should get more compensation for this. His 50/50 was his main strength.

If they want to fit his "map-manipulation" theme, they could make his ranged attack linger for a bit after firing, making it useful for area-denial. More cool stuff you could do with it.

Not a chance they’re knocking 2 seconds off it.

Also they arent buffing anything other than cooldown. They’ve had months to listen to the feedback and have chosen to ignore all the feedback from people that actually play him.

Hence why its a nerf. Dont fall for their spin.

I dont want to use DS either. I only use it defensively.

Its these chumps that use it offensively that are going to get it nerfed. I’ve seen people pop a gen in front of the killers face with DS.

I’m sure these clowns will be the first ones to complain too if it ever does get nerfed.

  • @UMCorian said:

    Yep. Having a blast.

If your feeling down as killer...

1.) Play an S or A Tier Killer.

2.) Slot a Mori and take out your frustrations.

And if you've just played a match vs. toxic survivors, why not both? :D

Every game I was getting toxic swf. Map offerings, OoO, the works. It hasnt been the odd game its been 9/10 games.

Put it on yesterday. 3 of them with purple flashlights, offering screen up comes coldwind as expected. Game starts with the usual click click click sounds. Well thats ok because im running a full slugging build. One side left that game very unhappy and it wasnt me.

Next game a toxic Squadette lobby. Along comes the most tryhard spirit build with an ebony mori. Again one side likely left unhappy but it wasnt me.

I know people say its a vicious circle etc but some of these people need to be taught the hard way that killers can play toxic too and toxic play isnt very fun.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1646785#Comment_1646785

Yeah, but how often do you see experienced nurses? This is like saying nerf SWF, because of tournament squads.

That was my point. Hes fine with Nurse but wants other killers nerfed even though Nurse is stronger. Its only because there are barely any nurses left and most people playing her are just doing their daily and arent too experienced with her.

Shes still stronger than spirit and shes leagues above deathslinger and pyramidhead.

Which goes to show people dont want killers nerfed based on their strength, they want killers nerfed so they can win. If you thought a killer needed to be nerfed due to being too strong then Nurse is definitely at the top of the list, but if you want killers nerfed so you can win you focus on 3 high tier killers and dont need to worry about nurse because you’ll barely see any and the ones you do see arent very good. Hard to care about a killer being nerfed when you’re able to tbag them from the exit gates.

Also tourney level survivor teams arent rare at all. There are many swf teams on the eu servers with 3,000-7,000 hours per survivor. This puts them at the same kind of experience as tourney players. Sure they may not have callouts for parts of the map but they can share info and describe areas pretty well. Tourney play is just “rush gens”, not exactly something people with thousands of hours dont understand.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1646715#Comment_1646715

Shes fine because she takes skill A, and B even the best nurses can be juked.

More like shes fine because you arent facing experienced nurses every game. If you were you’d be screaming for nerfs.

  • Its a survivor perk, in fact its a survivor perk that massively benefits SWF.

That’s the difference why it hasn’t been addressed yet. What dont you killer mains understand about this?

These guys are paying the salaries over at BHVR when they buy their Nea and Claudette cosmetics so of course they deserve premium treatment.

  • Wraith or Myers sure.

I dunno about GF though. He has no terror radius, doesnt need to uncloak to attack and some gens are in a blind spot. He literally gets a free hit.

  • Execution is dead now and deathslinger will be getting gutted next.

Ghostface is way stronger than myers.

    legion is junk

doctor and blight ok I guess

You’ll want a strong killer for when you deal with the toxic multi-thousand hour swf. Out of those killers you listed I’d narrow it down to Ghostface, Doctor or Blight. Doctor is very latency dependent though.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1646626#Comment_1646626

Nerf ds and spirit and we coolio. Nurse is fine buddy sorry to tell you. Arent you the same guy who points out that I msin claudette as an argument point?

Ironic you say Nurse is fine when shes the strongest killer in the game.

Oh wait thats because nobody plays her anymore, and even then its only for daily challenges and they arent very good Nurses.

  • After PH which killer do you want nerfed next

Spirit will soon be coming up for round 2

PH will get another nerf next year so you can use DS and BT on cages and to put the POTD cooldown back up

    Nurse maybe needs longer cooldowns

Deathslinger is toast as soon as they find the time to destroy him

What about Demo? He can zone survivors.

  • @Mak0 said:

Remember when they announced PH was losing the ability to see cages and people were saying Pyramid head was gutted? LMAO you’re all overreacting

That only hurt people that wanted to camp cages.

As someone who plays PH I’m telling you this is the nail in the coffin. It hands control of the chase to the survivor.

They compare him to Huntress....except hatchets are infinitely better than POTD. If POTD was on par with a hatchet then people wouldnt be complaining as much, but that attack isnt receiving any buffs other than the cooldown in which theres not a chance they make it any shorter than an M1 whiff and an M1 whiff can still allow survivors to make another loop.

They compare him to Demo but Demo is trash, besides he can zone too but the only reason nobody complains is because he’s a very weak killer. Hard to be frustrated by a killer when you’re tbagging from the exit gates.

Its funny because survivors will still complain. Theres a few minor situations in the game where the survivor may be trapped at a pallet, the corners of lerys for example. Just wait until PH spams his power over and over and over again for the hit, survivors will be calling for another nerf.

  • 100% he’s getting gutted. They’ve set that precedent. Killers aren’t allowed to have equal or greater control in chase, the survivor must always control the chase.

This is why I think Spirit will get a rework eventually.....even though people said they would stop complaining when they removed collision, which the devs did yet people still want her nerfs to be an annual thing.

  • Can you record map offerings the survivors use and the realms they send you to?

  • We should make predictions on the upcoming Ruin/Undying changes.

    I’m going to guess...

Ruin is now token based. At base it regresses gens at default speed and gains up to 5 tokens, each token increasing the regression speed a litle.

Undying has its aura reading nerfed.

Changes will either come at earliest December update or latest February update.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1645611#Comment_1645611

No, you are picking sides. How does the survivor control who the killer chases? If the killer is hooking survivors so fast then anti-momentum is a good thing to give the survivors hope, as in I understand that is what the entity feeds on. You are so concerned in playing the game on a tournament level that you are forgetting what the game is all about. I've witnessed the bloodbaths with my eyes and survivors shouldn't need thousands of hours with discord to compete against what killers can bring into the match.

Going down in a dead zone with no pallets because of being tunneled is not playing poorly.

He’s right. If survivors are struggling anti-momentum is a good thing.

I used to play games like Rainbow Six Siege. When the other team was on a roll and all your team was dying you were just up turd-creek without a paddle. Now though I see that the game was poorly balanced, it should have handed me something to kill their momentum and get me out of that situation with no skill required.

BHVR is ahead of the game it seems when it comes to game balance. For years I thought DBD was doing it wrong but no it turns out every other game has it wrong.

  • Whats the point in waiting?

People gave feedback on PH for months but all that has been (quite rudely) ignored and they're only addressing the issues one side has. We already know he's going to end up with a net nerf no matter how they try to spin it.

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1645274#Comment_1645274

Yeah we did do that alot but you came along way since then, i think I already asked you what changed but I think you just started to play more killer. Not sure but at least from my point of view, you dropped alot of the survivor bias.

Could be that they keep crying, idk, predropping pallets is very difficult. I fear he is going to become just another killer you do not see. Oh well we are used to the nerf spirit threads. Honestly how many billies do you see now? :D told you that would happen

I stopped playing solo that's why. I think thats where a lot of survivor frustration comes from. You just gotta accept though that solo is pretty much dead and that the game needs to be balanced for SWF. Only hope is MMR, good solo players do exist its just that with so many new players and more importantly the current rank reset system you get all the potatoes forming solo queue. All the genuine good survivors with thousands of hours only play swf now. Maybe if MMR actually works the good players will be put together again like the old days.

Billy is weird. He disappeared for me months before the nerf. Late 2018/early 2019 I used to do rank 1 survivor a lot and there was loads, late last year/early this year though he disappeared and that was before the nerfs were ever announced. I'll just put it down to more options. A lot of people were sleeping on spirit back when billy was popular then she got known as the "high tier killer thats easier to play than Nurse" and took Billy's spot. Then you throw in Oni, Freddy etc

Ok watched the video. He won't be dead but maybe a change to his turning would be nice.

The 6000 hour thing doesn't mean much tbh. I've got 3000+ hours but doesn't mean I'm great with every killer. I could be a worse Deathslinger than someone with 500 hours. They could just be bad Pyramid Heads.

If they need to give him another slight buff after ptb they will based off of tthe feedback.

I very much doubt they will change him in that way to be honest. People have given this feedback since day 1 along with survivors complaining about the lose/lose situation. BHVR has had months to listen to feedback and they've made up their mind that they will address some but not the rest.

If they had any intention of changing his attack based on feedback they've had months to prepare for it but nothing. It's not on the cards.

Otz thinks he might be worse to play against tbh because now he might just spam his POTD more. I disagree though because I don't think the cooldown will be much shorter at all.

  • I wrote a haiku

    Used to be much fun

    Rivers of salty tears

    Now he becomes crap

  • On a related note on Otz's stream now and both he and his partner say PH doesn't need the nerf.

  • At least DS kind of has a purpose, not making the OoO changes the biggest priority is a bigger crime imo

  • @narf said:

His power will be worse than Clown's. At least he has the torment thingy or he would be literally the worst killer in the game after this nerf. ######### it, back to Spirit.

That's the funny thing, making him less viable in chase just means the few remaining PH players are now going to feel compelled to tunnel harder to compensate for a weaker killer.

Oh well I'm sure that will get changed too eventually.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1645404#Comment_1645404

I like its anti momentum because it justified needing to:

Pay for a perk to prevent being deleted in 2 minutes .

Also I do like its anti tunneling but having to pay for that is ludicrous especially when killer dont have to pay to delete you faster than you can earn bp. I also wouldn't call it abuse because the same devs who claim tis anti tunnel said its smart to be used outside of it but idk these guys are liars and contradict themselves so much. Only when it validates DS being anti tunnel is everyone quick to believe them correct? Problem leaving dbd anyways survivors will killed in the next couple of months to come.

    lol what killers?

dude you run OoO, there's only 2 killers in the game that stand a chance at deleting you in 2 minutes that's Nurse and Spirit. A Pig or a Wraith sure as hell aren't getting you out in 2 minutes. I can't remember the last time a wraith committed to a chase with me and it wasn't a full game chase.

I never bullied that guy that's the thing. I didnt choose the map, never brought an offering, none of my friends did it was random. I dont know why you feel the need to bring up flashlights when currently the item is pretty ok in terms of strength its garbage compares to years ago, and also I do run OoO is there a problem?

I purposely ran towards him to showcase that dumb no cooldown insta swing. I got out of that position because the gates were open.

That insta swing forces lose lose situations it is far from fair.

you play OoO with swf and click your flashlight at the killer.

You think thats fun for everyone else?

eh what does it matter. so long as cosmetics keep getting bought they'll leave that junk in the game forever

  • @CashelP14 said:

Pyramid Head isn't dead. The explanation they gave was correct.

As PH here's how you chase a survivor:

    1. Put your weapon into the ground when they get near a pallet or window.
    2. If they try to dodge you hit them.
    3. If they drop the pallet or vault the window you hit them with Punishment of the Damned.
    4. Repeat previous steps at every tile.

The best part about PH is hitting the Punishment shots. You felt skilled when you hit a shot but the miss cooldown was that bad you never used it. They've now made it more rewarding to use the skilled part of your power and not the unskilled way.

Genuinely think he will be more fun to play/vs. Not saying he'll be stronger by this change but at least your going to have more fun playing as him.

    No no no, he's dead.

Here's a video that explains it better

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV4wh4iSpBk

The attack is just a very poor attack. If they improved the turning and speed it might have been a trade off, changing the cooldown slightly does nothing.

Watch the BOTB finals. Players with 6000 hours missing the shots again and again and again because good players can avoid it so easily. Even the hosts saying it's not worth using the attack and you might as well just cheese it for the confirmed hit.

He might be ok at green ranks where survivors just run in a straight line but he's going to be garbage against good players.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1644750#Comment_1644750

Because it is impossible to kick a Gen in 45 seconds? Honestly, you Killer Mains act like if they changed PGTW to regress only 5% instead of 25%. 45 seconds is more than enough to kick a Gen with PGTW.

It's more the fact that the less time you had the more you had to give up to kick the gen. I used to use Pop when it was 30 seconds for example and if you wanted to kick a specific gen you had to bolt for it often ignoring anything else that was going on or any survivors that were near you. Sometimes it wasn't worth going to kick the gen and you would get more pressure from just chasing a nearby survivor. the buff to 60 seconds gave you more options.

I know that's the entire reason they nerfed it but as a comparison it would be like if DS made you choose between doing gens or something else. Except it doesn't take any pressure away from the survivor, they can go sit on the gen and get the full benefit of DS.

  • I read one suggestion which was good. The timer should pause once you start kicking a gen, so if you kick it at 44 seconds you can still get the effect.

This would at least be a little something but I'm guessing killers won't even get that. So really it's like 43 seconds you get to use it.

  • Yeah, now he's just another killer you can bully with OoO, Ormond and click your flashlight at him like in that video you posted.

Also funny was how you misplayed and got out of position, but now with new PH you would have still been able to make the vault in that clip now while he was stuck in the transition period.

Must be nice knowing that the developers will hold your hand every step of the way.

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/194299/thanks-devs-for-finally-fixing-pyramid-head

Nope. It is back to nurse and just less killer variety for survivors.

I know we disagreed a lot before but yeah you're right here lol.

Also this won't be the end of it. Even though control of the chase has now just been handed from PH to survivors, they're gonna keep petitioning for nerfs until they can use DS on cages.

  • lmao this is what the game has come to "yay they nerfed another killer into being unviable".

Huntress/Demo can freely aim, PH can't. A slightly decreased cooldown does nothing to help out his power. On the brightside though now he's just another killer you can take to Ormond and bully eh?

I don't think that changing MoM to be the anti-tunnel perk is the way.

The only thing i want to see is to see another DS rework to make it a TRUE anti tunneling perk.

Also, what would happen to DS if MoM was the anti tunnel perk?

Delete it once and for all.

Oh erm.....well this is an alternate timeline so ideally DS wouldn't have existed lol but here we go off the top of my head...

Once per trial, when grabbed by the killer blah blah perform a skill check to escape from the killers grasp.

    This works on...

    • Vault grabs
    • Gen grabs
    • Chest grabs
    • Totem grabs
    • Locker grabs

However to balance out lockers it has an activation time just like Head On does, of 3-5 seconds.

Then nerf the stun from 5 seconds back down to 3 seconds since it doesn't need to be as strong anymore.

Good for baby dwights who always get pulled out of lockers. Sneaky for high level players who want to bait the killer into pallet/window grabs.

Difference to Head On is that Head On you activate, whereas with this you can only use it if the killer checks your locker, but in return it can be used in more scenarios. This also adds more usage to lockers in general.

Might not sound amazing but if MoM was the anti-tunnel perk DS wouldn't need to be an all powerful perk.

  • @Jill10230 True, thats why you gotta enjoy her while you can.

@Clevite Boy I was born on raised on the EU servers, that's just business as usual for me when I play survivor.

The reason why people used the power to zone and only in animation locked times is because the power is easily to dodge and is just clunky to use ,they are trying to get people to use his power more ,without actually addressing what's wrong with his power and why people use it they way they do.

    Quote for truth.

If only the people "balancing" him played him for more than 5 minutes they would understand this.

Ph’s attack is far wider than a huntress hatchet. He has unlimited shots. He is the only killer who can move faster than survivors with a ranged or speed attack expect for deathslinger and his shot really isn’t that reactable, you have to preemptively dodge at some point. 1v1 me as pyramid head and let’s see how many shots you can truly dodge.

Just a slight step to the side can completely negate the attack, and yeah he has unlimited shots but he also has limited range and limited turning.

It's apples to oranges though huntress was designed with hatchets as her primary attack, PH not so much.

  • "No one understands the health/balance of the game better than the devs themselves."

Do they though? The PH changes are very one sided, the developers didn't seem to understand the issue with large maps, perks that weren't too much of an issue (pop) are getting changed before perks that are a much bigger problem (OoO).

But then again maybe that's the point. Health =/= balance. They understand health it seems and at times balance takes a sacrifice for it.
