  • I don't think so. It might be more easy for Killers but taking a hit or rescue happends every game. You just need to do more work for it and be quicker than other Survivors.

  • @Snapshot said:

Trickster is best for the make survivors scream 60 times challenge :) Just hit 60 knifes. Everything else, meh

Wait, this works? I was playing Doc for this challenge with all screaming perks I could find :D

  • Survivors have much harder time to get the cakes sadly due to other event items to spawn and also most of the time you get only one event thing in bloodweb. For killers it's like 3x times easier thanks to having only one event item: cakes.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Nope because he’s missing the one part that,Ames fighting a ranged killer fun. Dodging a shot against huntress and slinger feels rewarding but against trickster it means nothing

True but it takes much longer time to down someone.

  • Increasing the chance you will get camped so far I noticed :/

  • Seems like my mobility & fun Killers will have unplanned vacation for today. Oh well...

Not excited, but i am curious if they'll live up to their own statement of "wanting to make these 2 events (DbD birthday & Halloween) big".

So i'm expecting more than last time, and thus i'll definitely have a certain amount of disappointment if it's the same or less than last time.

On the other hand, i'll be happy if it turns out to be pretty good.

But again: No, i'm not excited.

And not because of them, but because i purposefully don't build up excitement over anything that isn't out yet, whether that's events, DLC, cosmetics, etc.

When something's out and i can see what it actually is, then i'll decide if i'm excited or not.

This sounds like healthy mindset for anything upcoming, including games, movies, events, etc.

  • Give him his bag b default allready please. And also he needs more buffs than just these.

  • Bubba

50% chance that my teammates will be downed within 20 sec after chase starts

30% chance it is Basement Bubba

25% it will be camping / tunning Bubba

5% it will be normal Bubba and I have decent players who can at least loop

  • 1) He needs his bag addons every game.

    2) Very RNG depending (trap spawns, escape chance from traps, etc.)

    3) Againts decent Survivors or groups he is only M1 killer for the most part

    4) Wasting lot of time to set up power and picking traps that might work or not and hoping no one saw you while doing it

  • Noed has a counter to make it never activate.

Dead Hard can be used like an extra life stage many times per match and Killer can't delete it.

  • Trickster is weak and bottom tier Killer for sure but no way he is the worst lol.

In my opinion: Trapper. He NEEDS bag addon to be at least playable, his power can be againts decent Survivors or groups, etc. or with bad luck totaly countered, making him M1 base killer.

His power has also many RNG factors (trap spawns, escape chances, etc .). Also he needs waste his time to pick up and place traps that can be easy turned off again.

Wow, why is this thread filled to the neck with negativity? Dudes and gals, everyone gets it, it's the big anniversary and we could have bigger party, but it's a party nonetheless. The extra BPs from cakes are not to fix any kind of grind, I don't really get what some of you need so many BPs for. Fully prestige-ing all characters and getting all perks on all characters is not a requirement and while this is the upper limit, you have to get nowhere close to this, basic perks are good enough, you always get some sort of build out of a few pages of bloodweb, you just have to explore and not tunnel vision on your build and I'm saying this so it's more chill for you in the long run.

AAAAAAND yeah, some new stuff in the game, little here little there, but hey it's something to do, just be grateful. The game is not expensive and each chapter it's worth the money for what you get. I'm not saying don't hope for better, don't wish, but don't expect or take for granted.

Happy anniversary and try to have fun.

Thanks for some positive messenge in these dark DbD times

  • Wait, so is this Sprint Boost on demand or Dead Hard + Sprint boost at once? I am confused.

Either way I don't like it and it sounds OP as hell lol.

  • Make it a perk and I think it would be balanced. 3 perks + 1 extra item or only 1 item and 4 perks.

Otherwise, no. Ah yes I can allready see Ranged Med-kit with keys or toolboxes to make gens fly even more. No.

  • Okay but I want similar perk for Killer too.

Whenever Survivor blinded you, your movement speed is increased by 30% for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds and anyone who was hit during this time will be downed on the ground.

Hah, that would be so funny perk.

    #Joke

  • Spine Chill helps a lot

  • The best event they made was Halloween 2018 (?). The first event with event cosmetics to earn for event currency. That was the best event they made. Also the cosmetics were rly good looking and you could unlock like 2 or 3 full outfits or something. Rly cool. I miss these times.

    The first Hollow Blight(?).

Eh, IMO it should be more. The thing is that it will probably harder for Survivors to gain Cakes, since they get Event Items as well. And I dont really care about those, I would not use them anyway, because whenever I brought an Event Item, the Killer equipped Franklins.

So I am all for Cakes and I want to see huge amounts of Cakes.

Killers will be fine for Cakes tho, last year I pushed my Hag from P3-1 to P3-50 with all Perks and got around 60 Cakes left afterwards...

Nice. I still have like 15+ cakes on my Nurse or Huntress / Hag since I don't play them offten :D

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

I would love to play the game but unfortunately the word "optimisation" isn't in BHVRS vocabulary so I'm gonna be limited to playing only survivor and trickster. Deathslinger is unplayable and no other killer is as fun as trickster and slinger for me.

Wow cool to see Trickster main :O

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Depends how generous they are with the Cakes. If I have to do 2+ Bloodwebs to get one Cake, I will be really disappointed.

I hope I can get at least 1 each bloodweb

So have I but youd get plenty of offerings if you use them as your get more bp. And if everyone decides to save and not use them then everyone would get little offerings. Last year I ended up with 50 on every character while still using them. My advice is use them and get more, your choice though

    Thanks for a tip

  • @ShinobuSK said:

I want to farm BP with cakes. But with the performance issues and DC penalty off, its good to have some plan B.

    This is mine

Nice. I have tried Detroit on PC but I refund it since it had technical issues a lot for me, but story so far was interesting.

  • @lemonsway said:

How can anyone be excited for a copy paste event in this BP economy and performance state? Being excited for an event in these conditions is why BHVR has been winning for 5 years...

I am only saying I want the cakes. The event itself is copy pased from last year and its just sad. Without the cakes I wouldn't care at all. I still think this event is so sad considering it is their 5th year which is big number.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Pointless saving them, youd actually get more as well as more bp if you use them.

Using them youd get more bp, more bp means more offerings, more offerings mean more bp etc.

The thing is I allready got all perks on all Killers and some Survivor have also all perks so I want to save it for future Chapter or If I am in need for leveling someone suddenly.

  • Honestly I am only exited for the cakes because I want to get them as much as I can. But that's it I quess.

They did fix one thing about the Clown, according to reports a standing still survivor now get slowed by bottles.

Too bad if they are running through it still wont be slowed at all

At least something but not rly at the same time. If it was the other way around then he could be more playeble for sure... but just standing Survivor... Nah, he is still not playeble. Sad.

  • What bothers me the most is Clown being totaly unplayeble thanks to his power not working many times.

Okay, map for two weeks is sad (For me personaly it is amazing since that map is total garbage to play) but can you imagine waiting +2 weeks for a Killer to be playeble? I am disapointed.

  • Honestly I was hoping for Clown to be playeble... well seems like I will have to wait at least 3 weeks or even more since new big update (chapter)... Nice...

At least the map is still disabled. Good. That map is terrible.

  • @Wavy said:

Keys are fine with its current state. Key escapes dont happen often. I dont understand why people hate keys so much and want it to get nerfed

I envy you, but for me (and for I would say some other people) key is not that rare to see (also thanks to new FD perk rework). The ammout of times Survivors in my matches escaped just because of Key (otherwise it would be 4K or they would die) is A LOT.

I've been wondering if the reason might be 'hey, this build got recommended' without much explanation to what it does and how to run it best.

Yes or maybe they just skip the explaining part of "why you run these perks / how to play this build" and just equip it and go :D

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

    please read the post again.

This is about people who play in a way that gives them NO value out of the perks and addons.

I mean they can still use some of these perks to their advantage even when playing in such way.

Also, it is no suprise people using perks in a bad way or with very little value.

I can remember I recently faced Nemesis with Tinkerer that only chased me for like 4 gens or something. What a value of a perk lol :D

  • Damn... using strong perks on a Killer that helps him a lot with good add-ons? Wow, how dare you. All these killers using strong things on them shouldn't use powerfull perks and items like the other Survivors that run perks like Wake Up, Buckle Up, No exhaustion perks, No insta-shield med-kits, No BT's in front of the killer, etc.

And omg don't you dare try to camp someone, that's also againts rules too.

  • I will try to put it simply and not go any much details since it could sound overhelming in the begging.

Killer and Survivors have 4 different emblems that wil based on your preformance during the match will either: -1 pip, no pip gain / loss, +1 pip or rarely if you are doing amazing +2 pips.

For Survivors, emblems will care about how much do you do gens, how well can you last in chase with killer (also you get something extra if not in chase while killer is within few meters of you), how much and well you help other Survivors (unhooking safe, healing others, etc.) and lasty, how long you lasted in the trial or even better if you escape.

So if you work on gen for some decent time, unhook like 2 people or heal someone offten and get chased for a bit and not die within like first 10 min, you should be able to pip fairly easily I think. So that's maybe why you pip a lot.

And people say "Raking = playtime" it is kinda true since it is not that hard to pip when you play offten.

  • First of all, the first thing "timer will go down no metter what" sounds super overpowered, however adding dubble the timer (2,5 min to 5 min from what I understand) doesn't make it better at all, instead it will make it either OP and unfun (for example camp / tunnel that survivor on hook / off the hook, etc.) or useless (5 min to remove trap.... okay let's say after unhook they will have 4 min or even 3 min is plenty of time to find a key, even when unlucky).

Second of all, I rly don't like and can't much well imagine how even the second effect would work in practise. You would have to put all the traps on survivors at once? or do they start the trial with them? Otherwise this effect is super confusing and sounds super unfun to play againts and prob even playing with it as well, because you would have to just camp / patrol boxes and tunnel the hell out of everyone.

As it is now, I think this would be super unfun add-on to go againts (even as the killer honestly). Bad idea, sorry.

  • @Aneurysm said:

No, this is the normal matchmaking which does this regularly.

For me it was not like this. Yes, sometimes it would happend (probably someone playing a duo with friend or something) and I play solo. It's annoying since my teammates are more offten to be potatoes and Killer as well... camping / tunnel or just bad at loops. Ehh...

  • Honestly I am glad the map is disabled because it's the worst map in terms of gameplay. In terms of desing and cool lore and similarity to RE2 it's awesome of course, but gameplay... please no, never.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

it must be bugged then. This effect seems to last for the remainder of the trail and i also don't see where all of the survivors are, when not using this perk.

Maybe it could be bugged for someone, but usualy after 100s+ you allready accepted your faith at that point. And it's true this game don't tell you these status effects while not even playing the perk, sad.

  • Adding lootboxes, auric cells for bloodpoints, reworking DS to his original form, etc.

  • I think it's both.

Now being more unlucky than normal but at the same time, classic duality in DbD.

For example, Survivors I VS = usualy at least 2 survivors have DS

My teammates when I play Survivor = usualy 1 up to 0 people have DS and killer tunnels them and kill them fast or someone DC in the beggining and killer proxi camp anyway and tryhard againts 3v1 as Nurse. Just classic Fun stuff you know.

  • Some few things like reduce his cooldown / longer exposed if from far distance sounds like a nice buffs but I dislike the close range detection being faster. Don't forget that power can be used in mid-chase to mindgame too.

I think I don't like this rework overall, sorry

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

You can easily bump up Ormond a Tier, this Map is not that bad for Killer. Most Loops are playable and the size is only average (like, there are bigger Maps in higher Tiers).

Also, Preschool-Maps can get up a Tier, every Pallet outside of a Building is unsafe. Meanwhile, Cowshed can go down a Tier, I dont really understand how someone can think that Cowshed is better than Preschool, when Cowshed just is strong structure after strong structure.

Also, The Game is not THAT bad for Killer, yes, lots of safe Pallets, however, once they are gone, there is exactly nothing for the Survivor to work with.

Preschool has like 3 buildings that have great loops and can waste time a lot (dubble floor House, house of pain, School).

Speaking about The Game, by the time you break the safe pallets, game can be easy lost. There are like 20+ pallets everywhere and like 80% are safe.

  • @Canas said:

It's beyond me how Dead Dawg Saloon could be considered killer sided at all. There are far too many doors which take up too much time to break and the saloon & gallow gens are extremely safe and impossible to contest as a killer.

What I like about this map is that it's so small and gens are quite close together and after you break few walls (in Saloon the window up and one window down is a must) it's very duable.

  • @SilentPill said:

The mines, aka some of the best 3 gen maps that exist, in B tier?

Yea but smart Survivors will not do it like that, instead someone will repair on each side and then it's difficult to control 3 gens (A side, middle and B side) and also the main building (mines) Is pretty strong loop + decent palets

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Wretched Shop is S. That map, even though it's small, has an absurd amount of deadzones. It's currently the easiest map to win for killer.

Shelter Woods is overrated tbh. Yes, the map is a huge deadzone, but it's the second biggest map in the game. You can buy more time holding W than actually looping. I'd put it in B.

Okay, thanks for feedback. It's true that Wretched Shop after it's rework is much more better to play than before.

  • @CountVampyr said:

Why would indoor maps be bad? There are a ton of things to bounce off of an narrow passageways that make it impossible to avoid getting hit.

Well I feel like something like Lerys where there is so many small rooms and windows making it hard to hit?

I made a list of trap placement weeks ago, at certain I rarely put traps at windows, except those large long wall loops (AutoHeaven & Redforest unique)

I main Trapper for awhile so I know most key points to trap.

Yes, some of these placements I do as well and yet they can find it. To be fair, it is still kinda obvious placements for experienced Survivors if they don't see you using the most know trap spots (under palets / shack window, etc.)

Sadly the ONLY unexpected traps are the ones that are the most useless and random (random traps in grass, etc.)

  • I love how in the past months they didn't have problem to "quickly" nerf Mori and Franklins but they don't have time (or even worse and less fair don't want to) change keys in such a simple way to not be able to be USED (aka open) when they are EMPTY.
