  • I have some games like this too and I am not putting traps always on the most obvious places like shack window outside but rather next to a shack near wall or next to a pallet againts loopers, etc

I think some people are extra carefull and check these spots too, making ezi disarm (I do it too) or they might saw you.

    It sucks either way.

  • * D tier

It's weak and also super boring to VS. I want to quit the match if I see it is him with map offering simply how boring the game will be.

  • 1) I play both sides

    2) No, that's BIG no.

  • @Karao_Ke said:

I like the perk as well because survivors don't seem to ever realize you have it no matter how obvious it is. I've definitely been in that same position myself where I was like "hurr durr maybe im aiming too low" until I see the killers perks on the endgame screen.

Although I will say.. I'm pretty traumatized. I've had 4 flashlights switch to no flashlights last second and had a wasted perk slot the entire game. Makes me cringe everytime I think about it😔

Yea I feel like most Survivors don't even think you run this perk. I also like to fake it by avoiding the flashlight to make them think I don't have it so they can keep trying to flash save or pallets flashlight or something :D

It's okay, they did it prob on purpose to bait it out.

  • @Bumbus said:

Yeah. It is definitely not the strongest perk out there, but it makes games so much less stressful. I always use it when I play after work and see flashlight.

Yes. It is not meta by any means but I play this in my "general anti-stress build" and it does wonders.

  • Billy is for me 10x more fun to play / againts than Bubba.

    Bubba is just sooooo ZzZzZzZz...

But I wish Billy could get new addon pass and better curving or something.

  • I don't mind them at all... Well I am not rly liking the new Thomson's House thanks to having breakeble walls at least 2-3 you have to break... But I don't mind them, they look good.

  • Get some hooks or even some 1-2 kills and I am fine. Hooks are usualy enough for me if it at least 5+ per game (8+ is rly good).

I don't focus much on kills unless someone is asking for it ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)

  • I hate this perk :D It is so in your face and it can also be used to remove mistake that Survivor did for example in a loop.

Any other exhaustion perk doesn't annoy me like this one.

  • I don't mind BT, Its a good perk.

However I am not a fan of BT body blocking. I want that rescuer, not to tunnel / hit the unhooked person.

Sometimes when I get mad and tired of it during the match I will decide to "Okay, you wanna get the hit so hard? Fine, back on the hook you go." :-)

  • As others above me said, on top of the all it is even more terrible for new players or players who play casual or take a longer breaks.

  • Proper 2x blood hunt didn't happend for more than 1 year or maybe even 2 years, I don't remember well. I don't get this too. WHERE is BLOOD HUNT ?!

  • No.

Also, people are still using it as a defensive shield. The ammout of times I downed someone, then go for someone else and then find again the previous unhooked person that just use or force me to use DS is a lot. So it is still not only anti-tunnel perk.

  • I think I am these days Rank 2 more offten than 1 because I play "nice" and don't care about win at all.

  • Well I thought there would be more changes, so allow me to give some ideas here:

    1) After hooking a survivor, if the Victor is within 16 meters of the Hook, he will return (die and respawn) to Charloet.

    2) Give back that 3s cooldown after downing someone so Twins feel again better to play as.

    That's it for now.

  • When I was leveling Nemesis I thought by the icon it could look good... and then after many levels I read the effect and...

    Well.... Nevermind then...

  • I never hear or saw someone getting banned for this... However I would not recommend doing this because it gives advantage and it feels unfair for the rest of the people who don't do it.

  • These comments are so awesome to read.

I almost did that same mistake with the basement. poor Laurie 🤭

    Lol good for you :D

  • @Pilot said:

After I spawned in the match I saw that all 4 survivors were very far spread from each other, essentially one on each gen.

The perk helped me get depression as soon as the match started.

    Understandable :-(

Fair take on Blast Mine I just like to use it and it buys some time to not get immediately chased. but I would still argue RA is. It actually useful against Pop or Ruin. It can just prevent one or two uses of pop, and then it also only protects one single gen. At least BM (funny abbreviation for it) feels more interactive. But I admit I just like it because it’s funny

Blast Mine is a fun perk and you can use it a bit more offten for sure. The good serious use would be to get something like "sprint boost" away after killer is stunned and blind. I think these two perks have different purpose to run them (if being serious and not just for fun / troll). Blast Mine for running away from gen with good progress (when ruin is gone) & RA is the real gen protector. And yes, you can't protect like 3-4 pops per game. Usualy like 2, but that is good enough in my opinion.

  • @Mooks said:

With Blast Mine being a thing this perk completely lost it’s value for me.

you get way to few uses out of it in one match and then it just really soft counters Pop and Ruin, not even efficiently.

i liked the concept when it got revealed very much, and often tried to find use for the perk but ultimately I gave up on it

Blast Mine vs RA is a joke perk. It is totaly fully countered by Ruin and If the killer has Pop it only eats like 3 seconds of the timer. Blast Mine is only good if the killer is greedy and want to Pop and then chase you OR when you want to troll him / fun build. Otherwise, RA is much more usefull than Blast Mine.

  • If you consider how offten killers run Ruin or Pop and sometimes even these two perks together, RA is a great counter to it.

It doesn't just stop the regress but it also tells the other Survivors that this gen needs to be work on and might finish it for you while you being chased or something.

I think it is nice non-meta perk to counter meta perks that are very powerfull and important for the Killers.

  • My reaction reading your token rewards:

1 - Hmm, not bad, sure

    2 - It's okay I quess, not a big deal

    3 - ARE YOU INSANE?

Seriously now, 5% bonus if it is permanent is too good. But I like the idea of making you faster at something but it should be either consistend (1 - 10% , 2 - 20% , etc.) or each individual tier a bit stronger (20% attacks, 15% action, etc )

  • Right now? F tier worst killer because his power works like 1/3 of the time thanks to a bug that was not fixed in the latest patch.

Normaly? Weaker killer that can deal with loops a bit faster.

  • I play it but I think I will stop due to too many FPS drops where it is almost uplayeble (at least as a Killer). I think main issue is my device however knowing Bhv then it will prob some part of it will on them too. Because of these lags chases are so hard and anyone who knows how to 360° / 180° quickly on me totaly destroys me, so yea. I think I will stop playing it since it is terrible for me.

Played Legion. Got -rep tunneling killer message from a streamer on my profile. When asked where exactly i tunneled, i got blocked.

Lol. I am not even suprised. Just so normal behavor of many survivors.

  • He is weak, needs buffs and the only place where he is at least decent / good is open loops / dead zones where he can just storm you with his blades, but other than that he is weak and slow. But I still like to play him sometimes

Don't you know whenever you hook someone you're supposed to go the other corner of the map, sign the "happy birthday" song twice, then find a totally new survivor?

Yea, sorry about that. Also, when they are 2 last survivors and gates are powered you need to go to the other side of the map, spin your camera 180° 50x times and then you can go for the unhooker.

  • Well, I think all Killers have at least a bit of skill if you want to play them the best (even someone rly simple) but to answer this question, I would say:

    Bubba, Legion and Shape.

  • I understand the frustration and I myself dislike playing as / againts a Hag but any restriction that would turn off her traps around something would make her much more weaker. If you are looking for nerfs, maybe I would agree with some of her add-ons to get add-on pass (but not like Hillbilly where 70% of them are meh). Her add-ons are very strong, much like Spirit (but spirit has more OP add-ons).

Give her like 16 / 8 m range restriction on gens / hooks and I am telling you she would feel much worse to play and much weaker at the point she would be too weak. She is not a chasing killer after all (not if you want to play her right).

  • @Zozzy said:

Sick of being tunnelled and camped while killers are sick of the gens being done in 4 minutes.

Yes, but when you play fair all the game or when you punish terrible greedy play but a by Survivor, then blaming killer for it is just ridicilous :D

  • Classic. I was playing Freddy yesterday, never tunneld anyone, hooking everyone as much as I can (which is bad strategy for a effective killer, you want to focus on 1-2 survivors and keep hooking them and then deal with the rest). They reached the end game, I hooked a Claudet and just move to find around exit gates someone else, found Jill and she suddenly rush it to that Claudet, so I want to down the Jill but Claudet gets in the way (no borrow time from Jill, awesome) and I down her without purpose to chase her. Down both of them, hook both of them.

Quess what... She got super salty (Claudet) on ME! Not at all at that Jill who unhook her without BT in front of my face and on top of that all run into me... Like #########? xD

Even if you play the most nicely way, there will ALWAYS be someone who don't like something about you no metter if you are the most nice and fair killer on the planet.

  • @ManWithALemon said:

This isn't where the bug ends either. If you don't direct hit a Survivor and they instead walk into the cloud and become intoxicated, the Hindered and visual effects will not take place right away. The time fluctuates, but sometimes the Survivor will be in a gas cloud for over a full second before they actually receive any debuffs.

Yes, I played a match after new update and even when they run into my gas it is still doesn't slow them down.

  • Edit: I just played a match and it doesn't still work. Nice.

  • @katoptris said:

I understand the cosmetics for license but the non license shouldn't be linked.

I agree. I can understand that SOME licence holders may not allow to combine cosmetics or something but at least original characters could have it unlocked.

  • Play slinger

    but seriously, just ignore them.

  • Yes, he feels forgotten and for good reason. I sometimes pick him because I still like his range sprey power, however he is only good on open loops (you move and shot and they have to leave the loop or you will down them). Other than that, he is super weak and slow. He still needs a buffs and his main event is trash. I hope they will buff him more one day.

I've run in to issues with having my rushes ready to go, but unable to be used until I swing first, or my rush will end extremely early and go through the cool down animation. This new patch has been something else.

Yes I noticed that too, you need to M1 sometimes to be able to use his M2

  • Well seems like many people read it but have no such problem like me I quess? Well, nevermind.

    Why?

They nerfed DS, BT, BL, MoM?

Could easily nerf DH. Just make it not work 50% of the time.

    Well

DS - Was total bullshit since it's concept and for years the most broken perk in the whole game

BT - Well it got buffed / nerfed and again, the original concept was again, broken perk that people abused to rush the killer and killer could do nothing about it (hello end game)

MoM - Original version ... no comment...

BL - It got nerfed / buffed (no sound is pretty good) and I think it got nerfed thanks to maps like Hadoffield where there can be still infinite loop there, how amazing (or almost a infinite).

But DH on it's own dosn't sound like a broken perk(?) so I more doubt they will not nerf it.

  • @Zephinism said:

Once they nerf DH they will nerf sprint burst next anyway.

I doubt they will nerf DH.

  • @Bwsted said:

Oh trust me, go against 4 SB gamers and you'll miss your DH days dearly.

Getting "outplayed" by dead hard is for me much more painfull than someone gets head start boost of speed, because I know, when it comes to loop for example, they won't just ignore my play by dead hard.

  • @konchok said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/259714/i-am-sick-of-press-e-to-outplay

I'm sick and tired of people referring to button presses to discuss video games. Every action in a video game uses a button. You could just as easily say, Hold M1 and wildly swing your mouse to land hits as killer.

The survivor who is using dead hard isn't just pressing E randomly, they need to time it if they are trying to avoid a hit, if they're going to a pallet they need to also time it correctly so that they're positioned correctly to throw the pallet, and sometimes they need to bait out a hit such as turning 180 and running right at the killer. There is quite a bit of skill expression with dead hard.

Every game uses action buttons, yes. But what I mean here (you know it allready) is not rly the "you pressed E" but the killer for example could outplay you at T wall but you "just" press E right after you saw the killer to get to a window safe for example. The outplay had some skill but "just pressing E" aka denies the outplay of the other player.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I'm not getting away with extra loops because I can press E. I'm intentionally greeding because I can. I don't understand why so many people think there's no intent behind pathing. Take away Dead Hard and I drop the pallet sooner. You still don't get a hit.

Good. Drop it early then, I don't mind. This is however not just about droping palets earlier, you can do so many nasty things with Dead Hard, like for example dodge well timed killer power (okay, fine) or ruin killer good mindgame where you would otherwise without this perk fall on ground (not so fine anymore, since it is punishing good play by the killer and it feels like a garbage).

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

I can guarantee you, 4 Sprint Bursts every game would be way more frustrating than 4 Dead Hards.

It might be frustrating but no way near dead hard is.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Oh, dont worry, they will nerf Dead Hard at some point. And then you will reconsider your opinion if you want to verse Sprint Burst. Sprint Burst, unlike Dead Hard, makes every area safe, because you can actually gain distance and make it to a Pallet or Window, unlike Dead Hard, which is not useful in Deadzones.

And IMO it is more frustrating to approach a Gen, having the Survivor sitting on it as long as possible and making it to safety regardless due to Sprint Burst.

Againts stealth killers (or any killer) sure but I still for some reason don't mind at all, but this perk is just next level.

  • I don't mind any exhaustion perk at all 99% of the time. But this perk is like in your face "haha nope get outplayed" by pressing a single key on a keyboard. If it was at least rare perk to see but nope, every single game many many times.
