Why are people complaining about the grind?
I dont understand. The grind is what makes you play the game for hundreds of hours and that's a good thing. The grind should be the worst of our worries rn.

This might come as a shock to you, but some of us play the game just because we think its fun and we don't need any skinner boxes to keep us playing. Furthermore the 'grind' as you call it only punishes the people that play the most hours in the game in the first place. As the more you play, the more perks you have unlocked and the longer the 'grind' becomes. I've literally just gone 3 million dry back to back to back on myers for infectious fright, BBQ on nemesis, and ruin for blight. Thats 9 million blood points for nothing but 3 perks, which is absolutely insane.
wish there was a different way we could buy perks rather than using the bloodweb. Or at least remove the tiers.
The gameplay should keep players coming back. Challenges and events should keep the gameplay fresh.
The grind gives players an overall goal, but the Bloodpoints earned per match are abysmal given the Bloodweb's expensiveness, the RNG is super frustrating, and new players are easily overwhelmed by it all. The devs band-aid-fix problems in the game with perks, so many perks feel downright necessary to play, but good luck getting them in a reasonable amount of time. My friend just got the game, and unlocking one teachable and then getting it on the desired killer took over a week.
If the grind is the only reason you play games...
Most people play games for fun. The grind is ridiculous and limits the potential of the game, discouraging to new players and a detriment to variety. I bet the game loses more people due to the absurd nature of the grind than it retains.
As others above me said, on top of the all it is even more terrible for new players or players who play casual or take a longer breaks.
